Casey Jones : Outlaw Hero

I'll give you a jaw-breaker!!!

Customized the original 1989 Casey Jones action figure to more closely match his '87 toon appearance. Used Aves apoxie sculpt, Kneadatite, enamel paints and acrylic paints. Golf bag is from 2k3 Casey with the pocket and strap removed, sculpted new strap and golf bag has been permanently attached to this figure with Kneadatite. Accessories: 2 Grand Slammin' Raph baseball bats, hockey stick and golf club from 2k3 Casey, sledgehammer from a WWE HHH figure, alternate hockey stick from Slapshot Leo (too long to fit appropriately in the golf bag so it probably won't be used), alternate golf club and "broken" bat from original '89 Casey. I'll put up some WIP pics later.

Casey Jones is gonna clean up this city!!!

Holy guacamole! This is so perfect! Your work never ceases to amaze, but I think this is your best. I'm probably biased give CJ is my favorite character, but really, the accuracy is insanely on point & the paint/sculpting is ridiculously clean. Love it!

That's amazing, the only thing I would do differently would be t ouse grey on the grey on the mask details instead of black but still this look fantastic.

Thanks very much for the kind words! I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The paint is clean since I was going for that clean cartoon look. CJ is one of my favorites as well. Pretty much any OT character that had a figure in the vintage toyline are my favorites.

Thanks! Yeah I do see what you mean, probably can't tell in the pics, but I actually used a dark grey for the mask vents, but it almost looks black like the hair. However, in the cartoon itself the mask vents seem to change from white to gray throughout the episode it's not very consistent, so I just went with a simple universal look.

My favorite pic is the one with your custom Casey standing on top of the hobo that Jones labeled a "vicious criminal" in the first episode that CJ appeared in. Your custom is really neat man. Keep them coming.

Thanks for the kind words! I actually intended for that pic to represent the first scene in that episode, the guy who robs the pedestrian's wallet, then asks him for bubblegum/jawbreakers lol then CJ comes out of the dark and knocks him down and steps on top of him and trashes him.

Thanks bud! Yeah the Foot army was very time-consuming to customize, but I'm glad I did, because I couldn't have just one Foot Soldier.

I'm not exactly sure yet who it will be at the moment, haven't started yet. I'm trying to work my way through the first 3 waves of the vintage toyline, so anyone of them that I haven't customized yet could be next.
