View Full Version : TMNT and Splinter vs. Batman

Who do you think would win? It'd be a tough choice since Batman has a lot of gadgets knows most forms of martial arts and is a master strategist. Depending on how much time he has to prep I'd give it to him. Of course if the gang teamed up on him then they would have a chance. The one who I think would really give Batman a run for his money though would be Splinter. He is more experienced than the guys but then Batman might find a weakness in his attacks. Off hand I'd say Batman though very close.

I'd say it depends on which TMNT reality's Turtles and Splinter, and which reality's Batman.

The turtles could take Batman even without Splinter. In fact, Leo and Raph could probably take him 2 on 1... but not sure if either of them could solo him with all of the tricks up his sleeve.
Raph could just go berserk on Batsy and freak him out while Leo flanks him from the back or from the sides.
If all four of them go up against him, Batsy doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell. It would just be too much for him to handle. Granted, Bruce Wayne has vigorously trained in many martial arts, but it still wouldn't be enough. The turtle's tough skin is probably just as tough as Batman's armor as well.
Now, the 4 turtles AND Splinter... Batman would probably just wet his pants and run away like a little girl. Splinter could probably take Batman by himself.

I think that they would fight for a while and then find out that they are all good guys and then laugh and eat bat cookies for the rest of the day and deside to team up sometime and then go out for pizza! :tpizza: :embarass:

Yeah I think the turtles and Batman would get along great. Splinter and Alfred could talk about old man stuff while batman and the turtles train or eat pizza or just hang out.
Batman would never eat pizza or hang out with the turtles. That's more of a Robin thing. As for the training, it's more likely that Batman would train with Splinter.

*high fives NeoBix* thank you!
What? Come on, folks. Think about it. Batman. The guy has no sense of humor. He wouldn't do anything with the turtles. All he'd do is help them fight crime. He wouldn't ask them for anything, help, friendship, advice. Nothing. If Batman was working on a gadget and Don walked over to see or help, Batman would blow him off. If anything, he'd only get along with Splinter and Leo. And he'd probably kick the crap out of the other two. Raph for his temper, and Mikey for his wisecracks.

Batman would hand them their collective heads. It would be one hell of a fight, But as much as I like the TMNT, The Bat would own their souls by the end of the battle. In the DCU, There is a reason the Bat is feared by Villians AND heros alike man. Supes said it best himself..."He's the world's most dangerous man". But I think they'd end up as allies. Probably trade Martial arts secrets.lol.

have u gone stupid or what u must be nuts TMNT and splinter against batman they would send him to hell and again till they died.
good riddance Hamato......
Well, that wasn't very nice.
And I think Batman would win. He can outsmart and outfight all of the TMNT, including Splinter. As a matter of fact, Splinter might be the only real challenge for him. Batman is just too smart and crafty. The four-on-one factor has no influence due to the fact that Batman can take on multiple foes. The turtles aren't possessing the strength of Bane or Killer Croc.
JDavis

Like I said, it depends on the Batman.
Old school Superfriends Batman or Adam West Batman would become good friends with them. As would "Batman Beyond" Terry McGennis.
Batman: The Animated Series/The Adventures of Batman and Robin/Batman: Gotham Knights/Justice League/Justice League Unlimited Batman would become allies of sorts with them. He would train with them... and probably show some interest in their technology, but not too much.
Most of the Batmans (Batmen?) from the various comic realities would go ahead and fight them, and probably win. Though the likeliness of him defeating the Turtles would depend on which reality's Turtles we're talking about...
Yeah....right. Talk about beating around the bush.

This is just fair warning LTSM, if you continue to insult members you will be given a warning. No, I'm not a moderator, but I've seen it happen often enough. I'll advise you to keep your personal feelings about other members out of your arguments.
As for my opinion on the matter, I believe the TMNT would be able to defeat Batman. Perhaps mano a mano a Turtle would have a tough time fighting old Bats, but I think when it came to it being four against one, the Turtles could probably beat him.
Batman of ANY universe can defeat the turtles of ANY universe. Except for Superfriends Batman, who was too dorky.
Hamato Inya
08-23-2004, 04:00 PM
*laughs* true but the new cartoon turtles would stand the best chance... and Batman barely beat the joker and i think that the turtles.. since there are four of them stand a better chance against his arch nemisis therefore they would almost beat him
Karai
08-23-2004, 04:09 PM
Well, I still think it would be pretty close. I personally think they're pretty well-matched.
I think the turtles would win. There are four of them, and they are highly skilled. Granted, Batman can take on multiple opponents, but usually he is fighting thugs who don't have 30 odd years of combat experience like the turtles do. If a turtle had to fight Batman alone, batman would probably win, but all four teaming up? I think that might be too much for Batman.

I'm thinking B:TAS against any turtles version. But not all at once that's ridiculous.
I believe Batman would find the weakness of each and every turtle. Plus he would play on those weaknesses. Raph he would taunt and taunt until the guy would lose his temper and make a mistake. Mikey I think would make some cracks but then Batman would capitalize on that and out goes surfer. Donnie would try to analyze Batman's technique and tech. Batman would use one of his gadgets on him. Gas perhaps? Leonardo would probably be very difficult because it would depend on who's skill is best. Now while his skill seems almost unreasonably great I think Batman's is just a little bit better and well rounded. Same goes for Splinter. Plus he could probably match the turtles in ninja tactics. Remember all those times he's disappeared on Commissioner Gordon? Splinter would be the most difficult because he has the most skill. Pretty evenly matched if I have to say so. But Batman I think would come out on in the end.
Five on one though is almost impossible for him to defeat but then again he's faced worse (watch Justice League) and triumphed. He'd have to pretty much avoid the turtles for most of the fight since they do have the advantage. Probably stick to the shadows. But...the turtles do that too so it'd be a real challenge to outwit them. Maybe wait for them to separate or prompt them to separate and then pick them off one by one (check above paragraph). Most definitely he'd have an advantage in the Batcave but also in the sewers in the turtles home turf. Wherever's there's darkness he's have the best chance.
Exactly.
Also, Batman would be careful. I mean, here's a human being and he sees these huge humanoid turtles and a rat. He would study them, find their weaknesses, and pick them apart one-by-one. He wouldn't be stupid enough to take them on all at once. He's got the tools and the brains and the ability to beat them.
Batman would win. End of story.

Come to think of it... Leonardo could probably take Batman down by himself. He's been trained very well by Splinter and he and his katanas are one. Leo could rip through Batsy easily.
I think Even Raph could take Batsy by himself probably.
You have no clue that Batman is a master of the martial arts, do you? Ever see the Batman movie from 1989? Batman fought a guy with katanas. Kicked his ass, too. He can kick Leonardo's ass. He can use Raph's rage against him. He can outwit Donatello. Michaelangelo would be a pushover. And after a good 40-minute fight, he'd eventually beat Splinter.
END OF STORY.

But Krow you forget that Leonardo isn't a human... Batman is a human. And that dude in the 1989 Batman movie was a human too. Leonardo has very tough skin and a hard shell and more endurance than a regular human. Granted, Bats isn't a regular human, but Leonardo would beat him bad dude.
Leonardo isn't called the master of the katana blades for nothing ya know. Besides Leo is a great ninja and he could hide in the shadows too. If Batman wants to be a scaredy cat and run and hide in the shadows then Leo can play at that game too. It's just that Leo has more honor than Batman that's why he wouldn't want to be a wussy and hide in the shadows, but if he had to, he would, to defeat his enemy. You know what I mean?

Wrong. Batman could beat Leonardo. It doesn't matter if Leonardo has thick skin and a hard shell. I said that Batman would find all the turtles' weaknesses and exploit them. He'd do it with Leonardo easy. Batman would win. Katana blades or not. Batman knows how to use them as well.

Whew... I couldn't disagree with you more.
Leonardo would own Batman so easily. You aren't giving the turtles enough credit here. Leonardo would find Batman's weaknesses before Batman could find Leo's weaknesses. Turtles are smarter than humans. That's why they live to be over 100 years old.

*sigh*
Look, man. Batman has been fighting longer than the turtles. He has more experience. Leonardo would put up a good fight, due to his dedication to ninjitsu. But ultimately, Batman would be the victor. Leonardo is a battle tactician, so is Batman. But Batman knows how to concentrate and focus and one opponent at a time. He can tear Leonardo apart. Physically, psychologically, and emotionally.

well master splinter is a master of ninjitsu, the turtles would of killed shredder by know if he was a human, and the shredder could totaly murder BATMAN do u agree???? so they could then beat Batman.
Hmm.
Apparantly you haven't read my reasons on why Batman would win. Batman is a master martial artist. He can match Splinter's fighting prowess. The turtles don't believe in murder unless it's absolutely necessary. Like I said, Batman wouldn't even fight them all at once. He would analyze each one's strengths and weaknesses. Then, when the oppurtunity revealed itself, he would strike. The turtles would only stand a chance if they could catch Batman off-guard and attack him at the same time, which is not easy.

Oh man, didn't know this particular thread would cause such a ruckus. Well who am I kidding it's a vs. thread of course it would . I'd have to agree that Batman would use his analytical and tactical skills to try and pick off the turtles one by one. Though since they are ninjas it would be very hard.
About teaming up I don't think he would team up with them. Have you ever seen the guy on Justice League? Brr, he would give Mr. Freeze the chills. He once said "I haven't been a child since I was eight years old." in a recent ep. But that's beside the point. He be "oh mutant turtles exist bye." He is frigid with Superman do you think he would team up with the turtles? Not likely. Perhaps help them out economically but that's. The Bat isn't very sociable.

hmm well i think Krow is winning the debate so far. he has very good points. but Krow what if u look at it from the turtles point of view? i bet u could think of just as many reasons why they could win if u try. sure Batman is a very hardcore fighter and he knows what he doin, but come on it's the ninja turtles we talkin about, not the care bears... u gotta realize they are all 4 ninja masters and they shouldn't be taken lightly..
i have seen all batman movies, read some of the comics, and i have seen probably every episode of the animated series.. I enjoyed all of it and I look forward to the new Batman Begins movie comin out.. so I am a big fan of Batman.
but I am also a huge turtles fan as well..
I am just lookin at it in a different perspective than u I think. Batman would try his hardest to beat them, but I think the turtles would try their hardest too...
If it was a life or death matter I bet the turtles could bust out some ninja moves that nobody has ever seen before. They would go all out. Batman would put up a great fight, but 4 on 1, or 5 on 1 if u wanna include Splinter, is too much for him I think. Even if he took them down one at a time. I think Batman's stamina would gradually decrease after he was done fighting the 2nd or 3rd turtle... then he would still have one turtle and even SPLINTER to contend with.. he would get wiped out just because there are more of them.

Excuse me?
So what if the turtles live in the sewers? Batman has fought enemies in the friggin' sewers before! Ever heard of Killer Croc? Batman has more gadgets than Donatello has brain cells. He'd have a gadget to see in the dark if he needed it. And for the last time, Batman is NOT stupid enough to let the turtles gang up on him. He would use his detective skills to find their weaknesses. As a matter of fact, it's not really that hard. The TMNT wear their minds on their sleeves, so to speak. It's easy to notice the turtles' weaknesses. Batman would win.

in my oppinion, if Batman were to fight the Turtles in the NY sewers then the Turtles would win because they know the sewers like the back of their hands
Batman may have more gadgets than Donatello has brain cells but if you look at the cartoon Batman then the Turtles would most probably win. Also Batman is older than the TMNT and doesn't have all that energy. In fighting abilities, Batman would triumph because he is a Kung Fu master but if the TMNT guys were just a little more focused they would have a better chance. After that you throw Splinter in and Batman would have a very hard time.
In Gotham, however, Batman would be at the advantage because he knows the places and has his batcar and lair nearby. The movie Batman would obviously fair better, but, as i said before he is getting old and the TMNT are young and with Splinter guiding them they would most likely triumph.
The TMNT also have some of their ninja ways to help them and even though Batman has stealth and agility i dont think that he could stand his ground against four serious teenage ninjas and their master.
Told you i would argue!
Okay, then.
Batman has been to New York before. So, it would be child's play for him to get schematics for the NYC sewer system. And he can definitely memorize them without having to refer to them all the time.
Batman has more gadgets no matter which one you're talking about. Especially if you want to talk about the one form the 1960s t.v. series.
As for age, ever read The Dark Knight Returns? Batman was 50 years old and beat the living hell out of Superman. How? His intelligence and gadgets.
And I am not going to bring up the four-on-one issue again.
Batman would win.

all right a chalenge! *rolls up sleves and cracks knuckles*
True but there are different passageways that he and the other don't know about. And since the TMNT grew up there they would know all of the slippery places... and stuff like that.
I'm not saying that he doesn't have a lot of gadgets, he does, but the TMNT are no slouches and would use the landcape to their advantage. They could throw shuriken and intercept his gadgets also.
Ok, so maybe age isnt a factor... but listen he still doesn't have the energy of four young guys and even though he is very intellegant he could be matched by Leo and Splinter working a strategy with Don maybe.
Also most of his gadgets would be hit away by weapons and their shells help the... does he have a bo staff or is that just Robin? anyways their shells help block also and they can retract into them as seen in the movies.
This is fun now that i can argue! *waits for KROW's responce*

Well, if you won't bring up the 4 on 1 issue again, then I will, because that is what this is about... 4 on 1. Not 1 on 1. In fact, if you want to get technical, it is about 5 on 1, including Splinter in the fight.
It's irrelevant if Batman fights them individually, it's still 5 on 1. Granted, it's not 5 on 1 all at the same time, but all added up, it's still 5 on 1 in the long run.
And sure, Batman beat Superman, but what if the TMNT fought Superman and beat him too? We won't know until they fight I guess, and they haven't yet.
As for gadgets, sure, they do help Batman a lot and give him a nice edge, but the ninja boys are perceptive due to Splinter's intense training, and they can sense when traps are being set or if Batman is up to something.
Splinter also has the instincts of a rat, because of his mutation, and he can sniff out mischief and whatnot. With his rat instincts and his lightning-quick reflexes, he will give Batman a serious run for his money in combat, and then the turtles can back him up or even flank him while Splinter has him preoccupied.
Splinter can also use his teeth as a weapon and injure Batman by biting his face or his arm or something, or he could even throw his wooden walking stick at Batman to hit him in the face while he's fighting the turtles.
Mikey could sneak up behind Batman and do a choke hold with his nunchucks while one of the other turtles jab him in his stomach.
There are many ways they can outdo the Dark Knight.

all right a chalenge!
Also most of his gadgets would be hit away by weapons and their shells help the... does he have a bo staff or is that just Robin? anyways their shells help block also and they can retract into them as seen in the movies.*
Good god...you call this an argument?
"Their shells will block his weapons", pfft, yeah right, he probably had bombs planted all over the area before even engaging the Turtles in combat...to say nothing of Bat-gas, batarangs to tie thier FEET, and use his coustume to slip into the darkness of the Sewers
Batman wins.
on the contrary,
See the foot must have used stuff like that before so they are used to it. Batman would most likely not have mines around his city where an innocent could get hurt. Also they have weapons to cut the rope and their well trained eyes could pick him out. Their sheels are hard and would help a lot. And thank you neo for suporting the TMNT winning

lol you're welcome Hamato after all I have to support which one my heart tells me to support, and of course the TMNT are my fave!! :D
Also do you guys remember in the first TMNT movie when April gets attacked at the beginning by those street thugs and the turtles cut the street lights off and tie those thugs up like lightning fast. THAT was some ninja work right there!!! and they did it in total pitch blackness! sure Batman has night vision and all that, but they can probably see in the dark just as good, or maybe better! after all, they LIVE in the dark, but Bruce Wayne is always out at business meetings and stuff and out in the day light.
the turtles have probably spent more time down in the dark sewers so their eyes are more adjusted to it.
Neo, you have no clue. Batman would not be stupid enough. If the turtles ganged up on him--LISTEN CAREFULLY--he would run and divide them. He would hide, pick his spots, and take them down. Now enough!
Inya, good point on the sneak attack in the sewers. However, wouldn't it be logical that if Bruce Wayne ventured to the TMNT's NYC, he would have heard rumors of four huge reptilian creatures roaming the sewers and the streets at night? After all, the turtles aren't very good at the invisibility thing. They tend to be seen, no matter what continuity you're talking about--Mirage, Image, TNM, old toon, new toon, movies. So naturally, Batman would utilize his detective skills by, once again, learning the schematics of the sewer system. The most recent I might add. So, although he could be dealing with booby-traps down there, he would be very careful, concerning the rumors he heard.
Batman would win.

you know when the turtles are hiding from the foot? they never get seen... if they put their minds to it they can get around and be almost invisable. Also in enclosed spaces all five of them could surround him and he would be outnumbered. Now Leo wouldn't like that so they would pretty much dart in one by one and eventually, no matter how good he is, he has to tire and then he would slip up.
TMNT and splinter
In enclosed spaces, the turtles would have to resort to hand-to-hand fighting. Batman is stronger in that area. Also, Batman, if surrounded, can go into his bag of tricks. How many times do I have to say this? He would escape the onslught, and win against them one by one. He would not tire easy, due to his top physical condition. Also, he would not tire easily because of his intelligence. He would find a way to take them down without over-exerting himself.
Batman would win.
Hamato Inya
08-24-2004, 09:17 PM
but Splinter would see through most of his attacks and find a way to ounter them. A ninja is a master of his suroundings as well and since they grew up there in smoke they are fine and they are turtles and can hold their breath in the event of knock out gas. Splinter would help his sons by telling them what to do and use Batman's own strength against him
TMNT
and i g2g school tomorow! i will finish this tomorow KROW! be prepared! *laughs* i really should go on the debate team in high school
*shakes head*
No, no, no. I'm afraid you're wrong. Batman has gas-masks, respirators, and antidotes against toxic chemicals. He would have them prepared the moment he set foot down a manhole. He knows how to fight in a sewer. How? KILLER CROC. Savvy? Shall I really get into detail on how Batman would beat them? Do I really have to tear into you all? Do I?
Fine.
Michaelangelo--Considering his less than serious attitude, Mikey would not stay focused on the fight. Big mistake. Batman would take him down first. No problem.
Raphael--Simple. All Batman would have to do is anger him and wait for a mistake. Raph goes down.
Donatello--Since he has more interest in technology then ninjitsu, Donnie would not be able to contend with Batman. In the event that Donnie should whip out a device to use, Batman can simply learn the nature of this device while being used on him, take out one of his own, and use it to cancel it out. From then on, Donnie would be helpless, since he uses his gadgets as a last resort. Donnie falls.
Leonardo--Much more difficult. Batman and Leo would fight tremendously, but, Batman has more experience. So there you go. Leonardo valiantly falls.
Splinter--Now we're talking. Same as Leonardo. Splinter would take Batman to his limit. However, Batman is younger and more agile. After what I said before would be a long fight, Batman would eventually win.
Now enough.

A main part of the turtles strength is in their ability to act as a team. I don't think they would allow themselves to be split up by Batman, thus, I think they would stick together and not even have to fight Batman one at a time. The thing about the turtles... they're not really meant to go and fight enemies by themselves. The turtles are not very powerful by themselves, but all together, and ESPECIALLY with Splinter, they make an incredible team.
Every time Batman would try to split them up they could just keep their shells all back to back so they would know where eachother is at. In the mean time, Splinter could sniff out Batman's scent and then point him out to the turtles and the turtles could throw weapons at him like ninja stars and shurikens. Batman would have to jump around everywhere to stay away from the weapons they throw at him and eventually he would get so worn out from all the hopping around in the shadows that he would either run away or surrender. In the end, Batman would probably respect their teamwork, and acknowledge the fact that they were just too much for him.
TURTLE POWA!
Nope.
Batman can figure out many ways to separate them. Yes it's true that the turtles' main strength is staying together as a group. That's why I said that Batman would not allow that. The most obvious way to do this would be to get Raph separated from them first. The rest would be like dominoes. As for Splinter sniffing him out, how can that be? If Batman were to "hop" and "jump" around so much, his scent would be very difficult to track. So that's a non-factor. And Batman would not surrender. What the hell gave you that idea? Batman is one of the most hard-headed and stubborn heroes in the comic book industry. He's not going to give up by hopping and jumping around.
Batman would win.

I still say Batman would win. Not only dose the Bat have an incredible fighting prowess, with the skill to back it up, But he has an incredible intelligence. Sure, he has all sorts of gadettry, But his primary weapons have always been his deductive mind and his own body. This guy has files on how to take out every hero and villian in the DCU. And Ras' actually used those files to take out the JLA in an arc a few years past. He dosen't stop. He's relentless, and doesn't scare. It would be an awesome battle, But unless they came to realize that they weren't enemies, In the end The TMNT would lose.
But, I think that even one on one the Turtles could do very well in battle. They are after all, Fighters. They don't quit eighter. It would be an awesome and close fight. And the only thing about the TMNT that the Bat would be against realy, would be that they will kill if need be...and he always skirts have to. Otherwise, I think they'd get along famously.

Hm well concerning Donnie using nightvision goggles to track Batman well ever seen him use those light discs (from Vendettas) to blind the TMNT. Plus if it's in a sewer they might be up to their knees in sewer water right? One of his gadgets thrown in the water to electrocute them (not to kill of course) would severely incapacitate them. Batman is a calculating figure while the ninja turtles are teenagers. Well trained teens but still being in a group would give them a tremendous feel of safety (which Splinter would warn against). They are bound to make a mistake. i.e. Raph loses his cool (like he usually does) and runs off into the darkness where Batman would take him out.
A little OT but I think there are different Batman villains from Batman rogues gallery and vice versa TMNT rogues who they would each have trouble with. Clayface for instance would probably impersonate the turtles and then morph a hammer and try to smash them. Batman would have trouble definitely with the Spazzmosaur and perhaps Traximus (probably like fighting Bane since he's huge). The TMNT well...the Joker would unnerve them, especially if he used his laughing gas on poor April. That'd be crossover I'd love to see.

Batman is a great fighter and probably one of my favorite comic/TV/movie characters of all time. I will candidly admit that I have not read very many Batman comics. But on the other hand, I have not read very many TMNT comics either. Although I have watched Batman and TMNT cartoons and movies A LOT! So, basically, what I am going off of here is what I have seen in the movies and cartoons of both TMNT and Batman, and sure the old 60s Batman show (for you technicality-pushers out there).
I am sure that we are all predicating our arguments on different grounds. Some of us using references from comic books, others using references from cartoons, movies, etc...
Splinter, in my opinion, is as wise as Batman, if not more so. The turtles, all together, in my opinion, with their combined strength and skills, can overpower Batman. Batman's gadgetry would not even pull him through, due to the fact that Don would also have gadgets up his sleeve. Sure, Batman is very careful about his fights and he researches his enemies and whatnot, but that doesn't necessarily make him the victor by default. In fact, if anything, that could be his weakness.
The turtles are spontaneous in their fighting abilities. One second they may seem like they're going to lose, and the next second they come busting out with a hardcore ninja manuever and start knockin heads like crazy. That's what I (and I'm sure many other people) love about the turtle boys. Another thing is that the turtles are confident in their skills. They know that they're good at fighting, and with confidence comes endurance through hardships.
With Splinter's wisdom, quick-wit, agility, ninja mastery and sharp teeth (lol), Donnie's know-how, gadgets, and intellect, Mikey's chucking techniques, Leo's keen-eye, leadership, elite ninja skills, mastery of his katanas, and awareness of his surroundings, and Raphael's perseverance, wrath, sheer strength, and his trusty sais, I think the good old green boys could take down just about any foe, including the fearsome Dark Knight.
Leonardo_the_sword_master

lets jsut drpo this subject cause it could go on for months.
Hmm.
Confidence can also cloud the mind.
And I stated earlier that Batman from ANY universe can beat the turtles from ANY universe. And I also stated the same about each incarnation of said parties--movies, comics, cartoons, etc.
I never said that Batman would win by default because of him being careful. And it's not a weakness. Batman can also be as spontaneous as the turtles. Hence the many gadgets he has.
And why can't you get the fact that Batman would not allow the turtles to gang up on him? From what you've seen in the movies and toons, don't you think that Batman would try and find a way to beat them other than all at once?
ZariusTwo

They have the SKILL, yes, to take out Batman, but they have none of the paitence nor the speed of someone with human legs and a mastery of SEVERAL superior forms of martial arts, Splinter has only taught the TMNT what he knows, not what the seven masters of the art of combat and discipline taught Bruce Wayne.
This whole argument will not "go on for months", it ended a few pages ago, The TMNT cannot defeat Batman, he is far too experianced

I don't mean this to come out sounding rude or anything, but... maybe you're the one who's not getting it. Batman can't cause them to separate because their brotherly bond is too strong and they would keep their backs together and stay with each other at all times like a good team should. The ninja turtles are a GOOD team. Not a BAD team. Raphael can get pissed all he wants, but that doesn't automatically mean he is going to run out into the darkness and meet his demise. For one thing, his brothers wouldn't let him. Believe it or not, his brothers can stop him if need be. Raphael isn't impervious to their judgement and actions.
This is not Scooby Doo and his mystery-solving buddies we're talking about here. They're not idiots. They're the ninja turtles. They would stomp Batman flat. Need I go on? Most likely. *huge sigh*
So what you're saying is that the turtles would take Batman as such a dangerous character that they would never separate at all? Also that they have such a strong brotherly bond that it would never happen? I hate to break it to you but that never happened before with the turtles. Yes, they have a strong bond with each other, but it is often the case that such a bond has no relevance when in the heat of battle. Raphael goes off on his own too much, Donatello drifts off into his scientist persona, Michaelangelo keeps losing focus. Leonardo would have a tough enough time trying to keep holding that bond and figuring out a strategic plan of attack. He would be overworked. Batman would take advantage of this. He would exploit it to suit his style of fighting.
Batman would win.

Stop re-interpreting your sidekick's arguments, you don't have a constructive opinion of your own all this, "I've read the Batman comics" and "I agree with him, TMNT will Crush Batman" rubbish is all you seem to repeat time and again.
Secondly, Batman has been trained by superior masters of combat and dicipline, for some reason the biased TMNT fans in this thread have IGNORED that fact, probably because they know it is one of so many more previously stated reasons why they are losing this argument.
Batman will win, there is no denying it.

Alright, sword_master, settle down.
Look, I'm tired of arguing this point over and over again. I am no hater of the TMNT. If I was, I would not be here. But you people who disagree with me have to look at the big picture here. Just think about it. Gather some facts. If you come up with a good counter for it, go ahead. We'll debate about it and hash it down to its most common factor. That's what a discussion is. Simply saying that I'm wrong because you love the turtles more is immature and does not help the thread.
Just think about what you want to say before you say it. I have no intentions of bringing any of you down. I don't try to debase or desensitize you. I am simply discussing it.

Gather facts, Krow? This isn't exactly a debate over stem-cell research here. Gathering instances from comic books and episodes and whatnot will only give you more things to say "but if they do this, then Batman will do that" about. What it boils down to is our opinions, only our opinions, and nothing else, which is precisely what this discussion is... a bunch of opinions.
You can sit there all day long and spout stuff about how Batman has been trained by great martial arts masters and how he can "out-gadget" Donatello, out-wit Splinter, out-fight Leo and Mikey, and piss Raph off, but as long as I believe that the turtles are superior to Batman, then I can think nothing other than what I've been saying this whole time... and that is that the TMNT would beat Batman.
For me, this isn't a battle of favorites, just as I assume it's not a battle of favorites for you either. I'm just creating visualizations in my head... visualizations... images... of the turtles actually fighting Batman, and I simply do not see Batman bringing the four brothers, with their master, down.
I know for a fact that Batman is one seriously bad ass dude, and it would by no means be an easy fight for the turtles. They would have to fight their hardest and pull out all the stops. I'm talkin triple sideway ninja flips, tossing shurikens every 2 seconds, being dirty and sneaking up on Batman and tackling him, grabbing him by the cape and yanking him down to the floor, etc.. they would not be wussies and fight like they do against regular enemies. When they fight Batman, they would show him what ninjas can REALLY do.
Gathering facts can apply to other things, you know. Research is more than a scientific practice. Don't spout any wisecracks unless you have a punchline. Anyone here who knows me knows that for a fact.
Yes, this is my opinion. But it is also an observation.
As for the rest, in dealing with a fight between the turtles and Batman, I am explaining, among other things, character flaws that the TMNT possess that would hinder their advantage. Batman has none, other than he won't kill. And yes, the turtles are not above killing in battle. But, they do within reason. Would they have a reason to kill Batman? Just because of a misunderstanding? No, so that opinion is a non-factor and is hearby thrown out the window. And do not neglect the fact that Batman was trained by martial arts masters if you're talking about what friggin' ninjas can REALLY do. That's pointless. Batman is a ninja of sorts just like the turtles. That's an important issue.
I am visualizing a battle, too. But you still seem to be clinging to the 4-on- and 5-on-1 situations. This, perhaps, is the real arguement between us. You say that the turtles would be able to stay as a group, while I believe that Batman can avoid such a confrontation and cause them to scatter, then attack them individually in order to better match his style of combat.
Stick to your opinion. I'll deal with the facts.
Batman would win.

So, basically, what we've come down to thus far is:
If Batman is, in fact, capable of separating them and fighting them one-by-one, then, yes, he would win.
ON THE OTHER HAND...
If Batman is unable to separate the turtles, and they stand together and fight to the bitter end, they will kick the shell out of him and win.
Sounds about right to me.
Turtle power.
No.
We haven't finalized anything yet. So far, you are still assuming what you think will be the end result.
Batman, when outnumbered, is more dangerous than you might think. When the odds are against him, he can deduce a plan that will cause him to escape alive and fight another day, if not turn the fight to his advantage and win. I cannot fathom Batman being simultaneously attacked by the turtles so quickly. If he saw them slowly drawing towards him in unison, his mind would be whirring for ideas on how to switch the situation to his level. Batman always has a plan. So an attack on him by the TMNT all at once is a minor detail.

WOW :teek: man this is the first time i have seen KROW or NeoBix debate this good......
you guys both have really good points.......... till i ahve something to actualy say ill shut up.
If you think about it, either character can do anything the writers want them to do. Whatever situation Batman is in, he always comes out tops, because the writers write it that way. The T.M.N.T. always come out on top too, because that's what the writers write!
This is fiction. Anything can, and does, happen. Two seven year old kids could beat Batman, because,"Oh! Batman was talking to Commissioner Gordon, a seven year old kid ran up and threw mud in his eye, and another seven year old kid shot him in the back while he was wiping off the mud." See what I mean?
All superheroes are pretty much pitted against "unbeatable" odds, and something always comes along to help them win.
By the way, do people judge their favourite characters over who would win in a fight? I like Superboy more than Superman, even though I know Superman would easily win in a fight. Doesn't bother me though, does it bother others?

Doesn't bother me. I prefer the TMNT to Batman, but agree that most versions of Batman would come out victorious against versions of the TMNT.
Superfriends Batman, I'd say, would be the most likely to loose to the Turtles. The comics Batman(s), particularly of the darker-storylined comics would be most likely to win.
Out of the Turtles... the Old Toon Turtles or the Image Turtles would be the worst off. I mean, the Old Toon Turtles, at least up until the end, didn't really face much in the way of heavy-duty action. And in the Image comics the Turtles are so prone to loosing body parts and having other serious injuries (such as would require becoming a cyborg) that it's not funny. The Mirage Turtles would put up the best fight.

That... is actually a valid point. o_O
The main reason the TMNT and Batman would fight would be some sort of misunderstanding. Splinter would not go into a fight where it could be avoided, and would not fight someone he didn't know was an enemy. Assuming Batman would listen to Splinter, which at least some versions of him would, the battle would likely stop there...

That's true. The old Mirage series is a bit dark. The Image series is even darker.
Wow, I can't believe some of the people here. No one loves the Turtles more than me. They've been my favorite comic/movie/television heros as long as i can remember but give me a break, Batman would own them all even the old rat.
For every punch/kick the turtles could throw at Batman, he could use twenty plus blocks. The man is trained in more martial arts than leo could dream of studying.
And this is a turtles websit so if you don't think the turtles would win you should not be here is not a valid argument.

BATMAN would own ALL of the turtles. He knows tons of martial arts and fighting techniques, has bad ass gadgetry and is smarter than any of them. I mean he can take out the entire league of assasin all by himself. And for the record, Ras Al Ghul's LOA are better ninja than the turtles!! The boys in green and especially the rat don't stand a chance!! They would easily get owned.

Against the better part of my judgment, I thought I'd add something here...
Once again, things like this always come down to situational modifiers. Where does the "fight" take place?? What weapons do the combatants have?? Do the combatants have foreknowledge of one another?? What is the criterion for "winning" here in the first place??
That being said, I will disagree with the general grain of the thread and give this to the TMNT (assuming we are talking Mirage TMNT here, I don't have much faith in the others). I too have read Batman comics, seen Batman movies, and watched the various Batman series (from Adam West's Batman to the new Justice League Unlimited show) --- and nothing at all seems to indicate to me that Batman possesses anywhere close the martial arts expertise the TMNT have.
Some of the arguments given were that Batman has learned more martial arts styles than the TMNT --- or has more "martial art tricks". Whoopdy-doo. Anyone with ANY experience in martial arts would chuckle at such arguments. The very greatest martial artists in the world are those that have trained for decades in a small number (perhaps even one) art. Not those that have dabbled in a dozen different styles.
My money's on the TMNT (mirage-ish). Not to mention, they're far more willing to kill Bats than Bats would be to kill them....
A more reasonable comparison would be Batman against ONE of the TMNT. Against all four, as well as Splinter, he wouldn't stand a chance.

Dude, You Can't be serious, right? I mean I love the turles like all of you, but the TMNT and the rat would get owned beyond belief no matter where it is or what situation. For christ sakes, Batman took down Superman on multiple occassions and he is the Jesus or God like figure in comics. And of course we aren't talking about Adam West Batman, just like we're not talking about the corny tmnt from the 80's cartoon. We are talking original incarnations of both from the comics. The comics incarnations of Bruce studied hard in every single martial art and swordsmanship there is to know. He was taught by Ras Al Ghul who is an immortal due to the Lazurus Pit and he would have alot more to teach Batman than the Rat could the turtles. And there is no chance in hell the tmnt with splinter could beat Batman, NO WAY IN HELL!! Batman is a better martial artist than all of them, he can out think them, he has better weaponery. This case should be closed, and it is stupid the topic even came up, these guys wouldn't stand a chance. I suggest you pick up some real Batman comics, or wait for Batman Begins to see how much of a martial artist Bruce Wayne is.... just wait heretic and all of you who say the tmnt would win :( it saddens me to think fellow tmnt fans, whom I would believe to be smarter than this, actually think the turtles and the old rat could stand a chance?

I don't care what heretic or anyone else has to say, Batman would own them all! I mean heretic's main point for why Bats would lose is the fact that he knows to much martial arts. Hmmm...simply brillant if you ask me. Let's be honest, if anything the turtles major weekness would be their lack of knowledge in the martial arts. Splinter can only teach the turtles what he learned from Hamato Yoshi. And no one is going to argue that Hamato Yoshi is one of the greatest ninjas of all time or how did he get his butt handed to him by Saki. The Bats was trained by an immortal, a freaking immortal, and i'm willing to bet he could crush Yoshi, splinter, and the turtles.
Finally, the Bats owned Superman. Until someone here is willing to address how the crap the turtles, splinter, and anyone else you want to add from the TMNT universe could own the Man of Steel, I really don't want to hear what you have to say.

Actually, I think you misinterpreted what heretic's point was. He was saying that Batman did know a wide range of martial arts, but whether or not he is a grandmaster of each is up for debate. With the turtles, from the Mirage comics, each one of them is a grandmaster of ninja combat and tactics. The turtles specialize in a few very potent ninja techniques, whereas Batman tries to cram all of these different martial arts styles into one fighting style of his own.
Comparing the fighting styles of the TMNT to the fighting styles of Batman is like comparing a fully-trained brain surgeon who is trained to perfection in nothing but brain surgery and has performed countless successful brain operations to a well-rounded surgeon who has performed maybe 2 brain operations in his life but the majority of his other operations were open heart surgery or knee surgery or something else entirely. Which surgeon would YOU rather have working on your brain in an operation? I choose the former, obviously.

The best, most effective way to settle any argument which gets this Heated is the FANFICTION CHALLENGE!!!! Neutrals may also involve themselves in this.
Alright, Lets set up the scenario. the best, most believable version will win. You must also metion which category of each you're using, Comic, or cartton, and which continuty you are using. The scenario will be played on a neutral field, a place where the sewer pipes are too small to travel through, the storm drains being to overflowed to use as an active battlefield. Neither party could have been there before. Shredder & the Joker have formed a temporary alliance to destroy their greatest enimies.
April and [insert name of one of Batman's helpless love interests] are captured, Robin left with the crap beat out of him & desperately clutching a chunk of raph's bandana(with blood/getetic evidence), and trying to fight of the Joker's laughing gas. Casey also got his arse kicked, and all he could say before passing out, and being no help at all is, "Sh-Shredder, B-Batma-". Batman isn't someone who just decided to study a ninja kick here and a Kung-Fu chop there, he mastered every form of martial arts he choose to take up.
In the very first Mirage comic the turtles didn't have it easy with shredder and if they had trouble with him, how in the crap can they take someone who beat down the "Man of Steel" himself. Several people have made this observation and still no one cares to address the issue because they know they have no chance of making a valid point on the subject

*sigh...* Tell me... How is it possible for Batman to master all these martial arts that you guys claim he knows, hmm? You need at the very least about four years to "master" an art; and that's if you dedicate practicly your whole time to the art. Now, how long has Batman been traing in martial arts? Around 15 to 20 years, right? There's really no way that Batman would be able to "master" more than, oh, about six styles; and that's asuming that pretty much all his free time would go into training.
Anyway, you can't really compare a handfull of various martial arts to Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is a very complete martial art that is constantly evolving and expanding to properly handle todays situations. I know that Batman trained in Ninjutsu which makes me question why he would go out of his way to learn other styles.
Anyway... Like it was said, devoting your time to one martial art is much more fruitful than having a taste at a bunch various martial arts.
I know the sound of having 20+ martial arts under your belt may sound cool, but it's not realistic or practical.
Wow, did someone start thinking way to much in terms of reality. I never said it was practical or even rational that Batman mastered so many styles of martial arts. It is just something that is attributed to his comic book character.
According to your logic than this subject is pointless, Batman would own them all based on the idea that he is the one character in the fight that possible could exist in reality. We all know that it is impossible for four turtles and a rat to learn ninjutsu or even to mutate in the first place.

VERY well put, Ryo. I couldn't agree more.
As for the Batman beating Superman ordeal, how does that even factor into this debate? This isn't a debate of Batman VS. Superman. This is a debate of Batman Vs. the TMNT & Splinter. Quit using the Batman defeating Superman as a Red Herring in this argument.
For one thing, just because Batman beat Superman, it does NOT, in ANY way, mean that the TMNT & Splinter couldn't beat Superman as well. They've never fought against each other, so how would you know if they couldn't or not? Aside from that fact, just because Batman is able to defeat a certain enemy, or a certain type of enemy, how does make him able to defeat an entirely different type of enemy?
For example, the TMNT beat Baxter Stockman, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Batman would be able to beat Baxter Stockman. What if Baxter Stockman found Batman's ultimate weakness that nobody else knew about, and used it against him and beat him? That's essentially the same argument you guys are making when you suggest that Batman could beat the TMNT & Splinter just because he beat Super Man.
Here's another one, just to even further clarify my point: A white tiger could kill a grizzly bear in a fight, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the white tiger would then be able to kill a timber wolf in a fight, simply because you ASSUME that a grizzly bear could beat a timber wolf in a fight.
In other words, in sheer logical explanation: A weakness exploited by Fighter X against Fighter Y does not justify a victory of Fighter X over Fighter Z.
I may be blowing this insanely out of proportion, but you guys started it with the whole "But Batman beat Superman!!" deal.
Ryona
09-01-2004, 12:55 AM
You don't have to be rude, Duke. You guys are trying to go on fact, right? Well, the fact is that a human being doesn't have enough time in his/her life span to be able to "master" not even half of the martial arts that exist in this world. If anything, Batman is very much like Bruce Lee. You see, Bruce Lee spent quite a number of years studying various styles. He didn't master any of them however. He learned the essence of each style he studied and took with him a few techniques he learned from each of them and shaped them to form his own unique style which he eventualy called "Jeet Kune Do".
As for the TMNT realisticly not being able to exsist is a false statement.
Scientificly speaking, the TMNT would be able to exist. Now, the science to make it happen probably doesn't exsist yet, but give it some time.
NeoBix
09-01-2004, 01:19 AM
Ryo, as usual, is correct.
And I will even elaborate, on his behalf.
Duke, if you want to go on facts, and if you want to say that, realistically speaking, the TMNT & Splinter would not exist, then the Batman that YOU are talking about would NOT exist. Wanna know why? Simple: Ras Al Ghul was an immortal, right? Last time I checked, immortals do not exist, so that would categorize Ras Al Ghul (and the martial arts techniques which he supposedly trained Batman with) right there with the TMNT & Splinter. Granted, Batman himself could quite possibly exist, but he wouldn't have the martial arts expertise and techniques that you guys have been referring to were it not for Ras Al Ghul (and others).
Mutant turtles and rats don't exist? Fine, neither do immortals. But, I digress.
As Ryo said, whether they exist or not is NOT the issue here. This debate is predicated on fiction, and, as far as I'm concerned, purely fiction, but I just wanted to clear up that technicality, despite the fact that it's not the only technicality which needs clearing up in this debate.

Let's not turn this thread into a realistic argument, it's just a sign that the TMNT fanbase know there beaten and are just digging a huge hole for themselves.
In Batman's world, immortals exist, in the REAL world, Ninja Turtles would be shot on sight for being degenerate freaks of nature by a world that fears them, but in thier world, they are perfectly accepted now.
Given the frequency of comic cross-overs, and staying true to the whole point of this thread, there is no way the TMNT can conclusivly beat Batman because of his training, use the "realistic" aspects all you want, you're talking about a guy trained by an immortal battling four Turtles who talk to pink aliens, fight Triceratons, and are trained by a rodent.

It's not a red herring, it's the deciding factor of this whole pathetic argument that is only getting uglier because biased TMNT fans such as yourself are blowing it WAY out of proportion
I'm not going to bother with this thread anymore, it's just proven to me how one-sided some TMNT fans are, just because you're a fan of the Turtles does NOT mean they are unbeatable, get some common sense.

*goes into her mind's attic, looking for the official vs. rule book.*
Now where did I put it? I know I saved it from all those Batman/Wolveriene debates I used to get involved in....
*Finding the huge and seemingly ancient tome, she blows the dust off the cover just to see if it has the right title. Smiling and returning to the message board, she puts the book down on a solid oak table, since anything flimsier would break under it's weight. Flipping through part of it, she finds the chapter she was looking for. grabbing a giant megaphone, A call for all creative and knowledgable debaters is heard throughout the entire forum. Once they all assemble, Lynxie prepares to comence the opening lecture.*
Now, in the city/town Without any definate knowledge of the enemy, each party mucst battle the other.
Ooooo, sounds like fun!!
New toon TMNT/Batman comics for mine
The Shredder has fallen(For good), and the foot clan is in turmoil. Karain struggles to stay in control, and soon realizes she can't control the clan herself and does the only thing she can: join with Ras Al Ghuls crime syndicate, and become more powerful. Ras agrees as long as she takes out his one and only enemy, Batman. Karai picks her best foot ninjas and goes to Gotham to try and kill Batman. She's easily defeated and goes back to New York, meets with leonardo and tells him that this guy is too powerful for her to deal with and she requests his help and in exchange, afterward her and the foot will get out of crime as much as possible. Leo agrees, and the turtles, along with Karai go to Gotham where they confront Batman and the battle ensues.
I'll work on the actual battle soon.

Well, like i said earlier in this thread, I think Batman would win too. The only way the TMNT would have a chance is if Leonardo fought Batman, both of them being unarmed and with no outside help...an even match. Leo without his swords and shuriken, Batman without his weapons and utillity belt. That would be a fight I would love to see!
Oh, and under the same cercumstances, I would say that Splinter would also give Batman a really good challange.
Well, that's what I think. Batman, Splinter, Leonardo, and Shredder are all at par with each other... so long as they don't have any aid from weapons and other equipment.
Btw, I would love to read a fan fic like that, cqb101! It sounds pretty sweet. I hope you plan to write more. :D

Ok, you want to play that way?
* SIGH* how is possible for actual turtles to learn how to talk? How is it possible for a rat to mimick ninja manuevers? Just shut up..... Both are comic characters, we are dealing with fictional characters and comparing them, and yet still the turtles don't stand a chance. I can't believe some of you are idiotic enough to believe Batman wouldn't win. In the comics, Batman mastered all forms of fight. There is no way you can prove that is wrong and say it is un-realistic, because I could name 10 things more un-realisitic with the turtles background story.

Well concerning the turtles would win just because they've mastered one type of technique all their lives. I have to say that no matter how perfect, how powerful ninjitsu is it was invented by human beings. That being said. No one form of martial arts is perfect. You could study just one form ninjitsu for twenty years and still their will be flaws in your technique. That one form is not nor will it ever be perfect. There will always be flaws in it.
That being said Batman has trained his mind to look for all possible solutions. He has an analytical mind and he would use it to observe the turtles fighting technique and then try and find the flaws of it. Even if he isn't the ultimate master of ninjitsu he'll look at the turtles fighting technique with a cool head and find the mistakes they make. The best he'd have is if he observed them first and studied their techniques. But he is also good at thinking on his feet which the turtles also are good at. Again it would be a very hard fight but I think Batman would come out on top.

lol... well, actually, and I'm not lying when I say this either, but I HAVE been behaving... it's the other folks on here doing the name-calling and such.
I've done nothing but simply argue that TMNT would kick Batman's butt all over town. If people become offended when I simply state my opinion, even if they don't approve of the method in which I state my opinion, that's their fault, not mine. I haven't been posting anything on here that is purposely inflammatory.
If you ask me, it's the ones on here who are calling people idiots that need to have their behavior readjusted. I can see why KROW and the others are getting bent out of shape. Anyway, Batman would lose horribly against the TMNT. I would love to see the turtles do their shell smash technique on Batman, that would be hilarious. You know the one I'm talking about... the one that they used on Master Tetsu in one of the movies (I think the first one, but not sure). I suggest you pick up some real Batman comics, or wait for Batman Begins to see how much of a martial artist Bruce Wayne is.... just wait heretic and all of you who say the tmnt would win it saddens me to think fellow tmnt fans, whom I would believe to be smarter than this, actually think the turtles and the old rat could stand a chance?
I see many statements without proof or citations to back them up. Not to mention many logical fallacies:
1) Defeating Superman does not necessarily confer beating the TMNT.
2) "Studying very hard" in "every martial art there is" is an amusing argument, one that only one that is devoid of actual experience in the martial arts could make. The argument that "because my teacher is better than yours, than I'm better than you" is also an amusing argument.
3) Statements like "dude the Batz would so totally own the Turtles, can't you see??" are not very good arguments.
I don't care what heretic or anyone else has to say, Batman would own them all! I mean heretic's main point for why Bats would lose is the fact that he knows to much martial arts. Hmmm...simply brillant if you ask me.
Actually, that's not what I said at all. I suggest re-reading my arguments. Or, even better, actually acquiring martial arts experience yourself to understand them firsthand.
Yet again, the logical fallacy of "my teacher is better than yours = me better than you". This assumes, of course, that all those conjectures are accurate in the first place.
Finally, the Bats owned Superman. Until someone here is willing to address how the crap the turtles, splinter, and anyone else you want to add from the TMNT universe could own the Man of Steel, I really don't want to hear what you have to say.
Sure. Just give them the kryptonite Batman had when he fought Supes.
Also, yet again, beating Superman does not mean beating the TMNT. They are completely different adversaries.
You need help dude, real help. Who said Batman dabbled in each form of martial arts? He perfected them all, that's what makes him Batman.
The notion that Batman, who is less than 35 years old, could "perfect" ANY one martial art (let alone all the ones he has studied) is beyond ridiculous.
His inner rage from seeing his parents killed infront of him gave him the desire to be the best at everything.
Actually, that "inner rage" is the most concrete proof that he has not "mastered" any martial arts.
Very good analogy, Ryo.
I would also like to mention that the current Mirage TMNT have far more EXPERIENCE than Batman as well. They are each in the range of 29 to 34 years old, and have been training in Ninjutsu arts since they were capable of walking (in less than a year's time of being mutated). Batman does not have have 30+ years of martial arts experience.
Bats also had his spine cracked by Kane.
The above analysis also evinces a lack of experience in martial arts.
Things like an "analytical mind" and "studying techniques" are not something high level martial artists do. Higher level martial arts are formless and come from no-mind.
Laterz all.

RIGHT!!!! :D
TMNT would rock Batman's world because Raphael's sai techniques are too much for Batman to deal with. What are you talking about? Raph would be the first to fall. His hot head has caused him to be beaten down by enemies with far less skill than Batman.
Here let me tell you exactly how it would go. Batman would split the group up and Raph would be the very first to play right into his strategy. Just a few insults directed towards Raph and like clockwork he would run right off after Batman and get owned. Then, Leo would be the first to run after Raph but he would get there and the fight would already be decided. Leo would by far be the best challenge for Bats but Batman would quickly use something to eliminate Leo’s katanas from the battle. Without the swords, Leo, by far my favorite comic character of all time (I simply added this to show that I should be biased towards the turtles but I’m not) would definitely put up a valiant fight but would be the loser in the end. Meanwhile Donnie and Mikey would still be discussing what exactly they should do. Should they follow Raph and Leo, report to splinter, develop a plan of action. Here Batman could continue with his strategy of separating the turtles. By holding Raph and Leo in separate locations Don would go after one and Mikey would go after the other, again separate neither would be a match for Batman.
What about Splinter? Well you have to remember that splinter rarely gets involved in actual battles unless his sons are in immediate danger, so splinter would never be involved in initial confrontation with the Batman. Batman would never confront the turtles when splinter was with them, it just something he would not do. What if the turtles were the ones looking for Batman? Well again Batman would stick to the shadows and use his relatively endless flow of cash to remain unseen by them until he could get them alone. When splinter finally does go in search of his now missing sons, Batman would be ready. When they did finally battle, Batman would see the weaknesses in splinter’s fighting style, even if he could find only one, and with exposure of that weakness Batman would win.

The above analysis also evinces a lack of experience in martial arts.
Things like an "analytical mind" and "studying techniques" are not something high level martial artists do. Higher level martial arts are formless and come from no-mind.
Laterz all.
WOW, with all that useless rambling I still created more logical points regarding 2 comic entities facing off. You tell me to learn martial arts, lol, which has to do with Batman vs TMNT, WHy? The unbelieveable part of Batman is that he mastered everything from criminology, all detective strategy, chemistry, and all fighting form, just as it is unbelievable that these little turtles can become 5 feet tall from a magical goo, that comes from aliens? and then actual turtles learn martial arts, lol. Such rambling and all I hear is blah blah blah. The reason I compared Bats beating Superman, is because we are comparing 2 comic characters, so why can't we throw in another? Same world. And we know TMNT wouldn't last half a second against the Man of Steel. Just face it you have been proven wrong. Matter a fact, let me take this to an un-biased board such as Superhero Hype and watch how much this thread gets laughed at by true comic fans. Seriously, outside of this board where it is accepted as not just a possibility, but as fact, you guys will all be weeping at the results on another board.

It wasn't "useless rambling" as you put it. Heretic888 has made good points. It doesn't take a martial artist to understand that a human being doesn't have the time in his/her life span to "master" even a dozen martial arts. It's impossible unless Batman is a few hundred years old, which I doubt he is.
As for the silly argument on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles possibly exsisting; how is that relevent to this debate???
I don't think anyone has brought up an argument on how a boy by the name of Bruce Wayne could become Batman. So, why would we argue on how four turtles could become Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
We're debating on who could beat who. Only information that is relevent to such a battle is of importance, not why Bruce Wayne became Batman or how the TMNT mutated.
As for the TMNT not lasting against Superman, all I gotta say is, give them some kriptonite and see what happens.
I would like to see this argument carried over to other message boards, but I know it would be pointless because it would just turn into a popularity contest.
Anyway... I was going to give it to Batman but seeing that we are talking about the current Mirage TMNT (they're in their late 20s to early 30s), Batman would get seriously owned by all four of them. The only way it would be a fair fight would be if Batman had three others to help him, like Darkwing, Cat woman, and Bat-girl.
Leo vs. Batman
Don vs. Darkwing
Raph vs. Cat woman
Mikey vs. Bat-girl

Interesting theory on how the fight would go, Duke, but no, I'm afraid you are mistaken, friend.
The turtles would stay together and Batman would try to throw a grappling hook at one of them to pull them to him, but the turtles would all grab the hook and yank Batman down from the shadows. From there, Splinter would jump high into the air and come down on Batman's throat with a super ninja kick and knock Batman out. Then the turtles would sever off Batman's limbs and boil them in a stew for Splinter's supper.
They would keep Batman's costume in their sewer home and hang it on the wall to show their victory to everyone who comes in. April would be like "Haha, you guys killed Batman. I always knew you could beat him down so easily. Good job, guys!"
And that would be the end of that. The TMNT would dominate him.
Oh, and tmntpower2003... you mentioned somewhere in your post that when you read heretic's post, you just heard "blah blah blah" or something like that. Maybe that's the problem right there. If you actually focused on what he was saying, you might get a better grasp of it, because he's right, and you, I'm afraid, are dead wrong.
By the way, the TMNT would beat the Man of Steel SOOOOO BAD!!! All Leo has to do is rub some kryptonite on his blades and slice right through Superman like BUTTA... I repeat... LIKE BUTTA!!
Also, this argument is right here in the TMNT Technodrome forums, where it belongs. You can take it to your local comic store and flash it to your posse all you want, but until your buddies from the comic store log on here and post their debate, I could care less what they think about this topic. They are not even involved in this. By the way, I am a true comic fan, and I am insulted by your comment about how the people posting on here are not true comic fans.
Perhaps it is YOU who is not the true comic fan. You seem to be the most ignorant one here out of all of us, especially since absolutely NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING is getting through to you. You just shrug off heretic's very promising points and ignore them, and it only makes you look foolish, because he is correct.

Hmmmm.... I think you're giving the TMNT too much credit, NeoBix. It's great to see that you're one of the most loyal TMNT fans in the Technodrome but I don't think you're being straight when you say that the TMNT would so easily defeat Batman. Batman is one tough guy! If it was the TMNT in their teens vs. Batman, I'm sad to say that chances are Batman would own the TMNT. Even if it was just Leo vs. Batman, It would be a long fight but Batman would probably most likely win.
Now seeing that we're talking about the current Mirage TMNT, they are much older now and have many years of combat experince and trainning, so I would say in that situation the tables would be turned and it would be Batman that would be getting owned by the TMNT, of coarse, unless Batman has time to be properly prepared and set up some kind of trap for them. If it's a sudden head on fight, the current Mirage TMNT would have the upper hand.

I see where you're comin from Ryo... good point. The Mirage TMNT are a lot more bad ass for sure. Although I still think the teen turtles would rock Batman's world, I do respect your opinion on the issue.
In the Mirage TMNT... shouldn't it change into Middle-aged Mutant Ninja Turtles at some point?? :P

Ok, I am gonna set up a thread at SHH, enough with some here who takes martial arts saying it is impossible to learn all martial arts. I know that, but IN THE COMIC Batman learns and asters them all, get over it. I'll send the link from SHH soon.
