Does anyone know why Shredder's original voice was changed for good near the end of the 1993 season? The original Shredder by James Avery was the best; the other voice actors never quite captured the essence of the character.

"Hello, boss. How did you get our private phone number?"
"Simple. I dialed M for moron!"

What year did "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" go on-air?
That may answer your question.

I'm not following you. I checked the Internet, and the series ran from 1990 to 1996. James Avery stopped doing Shredder's voice during the latter half of the 1993 season.

Did it hurt his voice or something when he did Shredder's voice?

Haven't got a clue... never heard of the show, but James Avery was awesome at doing shredder's voice. and don't gimme this late 1993 season crap. It was the 1st ep of the 1993 when it permenantly changed. In the Euro vacation part of the 1992 season it varied who did his voice... the alternative from 1989-1990, classic, or the new one for 1993 and up. No matter how many times I emphize this nobody understands. The European vacation was 1992 not 1993! Nobody has challenged proof yet but I can give it.

What the heck are you talking about? I didn't even mention the European episodes.

In the first episode of Season 7, "Night of the Dark Turtle," Shredder's voice is portrayed by James Avery, the guy from "Fresh Prince." James Avery was the main person behind Shredder, except for the few times that someone else subbed for him.

Between episodes #161 and #164, James Avery quit doing the voice. I haven't seen episodes #162 or #163, which is why I can't narrow it down. But from #164 on, James Avery was not the man behind Shredder's voice.

For the first half of the season, from "Night of the Dark Turtle" until episode #161, it was James Avery as it had almost always been.

My question, the one that no one has been able to answer yet, is why the guy stopped providing the voice for Shredder.

The European episodes don't have anything to do with this. I wasn't even thinking of them when I wrote the question.

You want to challenge me on the voice thing during 1993, that's fine. But you will end up wrong because I know that I'm right in this case.

I won't challenge cause I haven't seen season 7 too much.... I can't really remember if shredder has his new voice in Night of the Dark Turtle, only one I know is Night of the Rouges.
