I won an auction on ebay, 17 cds with every TMNT episode. Luckily for you guys, there are more auctions of it from the same guy. Well worth a look. I might be able to get some episodes off of the cds and onto my CPU. Maybe you can get them from me through Kazaa..we'll see. :P

heh...got em all too but didnt pay a cent for em since i downloaded em ( :P )
That guy probably has the same files i do since they also are around 17 cds in total...and he's selling em at a quite reasonable prize so i'm not complaining :P

I'm upset. You got them all for free. Also, the last 2 minutes of the last episode are cut off! :x I DONT KNOW HOW IT ENDS (well I do, but that's besides the point). Does your last episode show the ending?

:teek: the bastard cut off the ending?
That's down right cruel :P i'm gonna send you the ending from my version of the episode as soon as i can rip it so don't worry about it, but why did the guy did that? :ohwell:

look at the link in the ebay auction, it's linked to tmnt-files website, and the dude that's bidding said that some guy in tmnt-files is yelling at him for posting the link in tmnt-files

Y'know, I could see myself paying for this since I have a dial-up modem and it would be way easier to just buy the darn things.

Nickokapo
12-02-2002, 09:43 PM
Yeah i know :D that way the eps would distribute faster...
And the guy's selling it at around 20 bucks or something like that, which is not such a rip off as the almost 200 bucks vcds transformerscds were selling, which are the same files converted to mpg and burned as vcds :ohwell:

Not all people have the kind of internet connection that they can download those. IF the price is bout 20$ it's not a rip off.

All I have to say is that this is probably a main reason why they WOULDN'T consider releasing the series on dvd, just hope you guys knew that already...

Well it's an old cartoon. I have no problems if people download it, it probably wouldn't come to DVD anyway. But i can understamd your point. I wish that people would really Buy the TMNT DVD's so that we could get a special edition.

I would like to have every one of them. But my internet connection is pretty normal, through a phone line. How long will that take per episode? I know you guys have the links posted for the place where they are, but can you post a link? I might try it...

How long will that take per episode?
Multiples of hours plus waiting for your queue.

Shoot, it'd probably be easier to get someone to burn them for me....maybe.

I know people here are interested in more than TMNT. This guy is selling episodes of lots of our favorite toons, including He-man on VCD. Check it out.

P.S. ONLY ONE NINJA TURTLES AUCTION LEFT FOR YOU 56KERS!

If you don't mind downloading then i could split the episodes into 6/7 files and upload em to a site, then you could download them and extract the ep...except for waiting for the file to download and extract there's not really any other thing that'd take time.
But if it's too complicated i guess you could get one set from ebay or something.
As for the guy that said this is the cause why the dvds dont get released, i don't think so, dvds are higher quality, dvds are playable in dvd players unlike divx (tho that might change since i've readed there's a dvd player that support mpeg4 in the works), dvds have extras (i dont care about that, but people love it :P ), dvds have no permanent dutch subtitles (tho that's only in the aneurysm- encodes) and...um...again, dvds are playable in dvd players.
Sure the guy could just convert his divxs to vcds but not everyone's so tech saavy (Not that it's hard but if there's people who cant figure out irc im guessing making vcd will be a problem too, and you need a cd-rw aswell )
So i don't think that's the main problem...there's been divx sets of cartoons all the time and a lot of them have been released on dvd, honestly, besides the mpaa i can't think of anyone else caring about divx, it's just a digital way of taping stuff, get over it!It's like saying vhs is one of the main reasons the tmnt cartoon doesn't get a dvd release, when it isn't, because just as divx, dvd's quality is way higher, amongst other things!
And personally i probably couldn't find the dvd in my country anyways, and forget about buying it online since it's region...um...whatever region the usa is in.
Sure i could buy it online, legally rip it to divx, then watch it, but then again, what's the point of buying it if i do that? :P
But i do wish the toon gets a dvd release...for fan's sakes and because there's so many stuff in dvd out there yet no tmnt toons :tgrumble: i just don't think divx is such a great problem.

I'm not saying that it's impossible to do that, I'm saying: look closely at the pictures of the CDs. Why, of all things, would the labels have pictures of the CGI pilot when they're of the orginal series? And just look at the labels themselves, they don't look like anything that came out of a printer; no ink smears, no signs of paper edges, and just look at the compact disc symbol. It's clearly and visibly a logo that was tampered with in Photoshop or a similar program using the bevel and emboss feature.

Anybody who doesn't see what I mean...see a shrink.

Well whoever is dedicated enough to convert every episode to SVCD and burn them to CD I really give them credit. On my computer it takes 6 hours to convert a typical tmnt ep to SVCD. My computer is 1.6 ghz, a little outdated but still pretty accurate to how much effort it would take.

Nickokapo
12-04-2002, 09:39 PM
Um...I'm pretty sure the vcds are actual working vcds, not that i have them but if it'd be a hoax the seller would have way too many negative feedback in his feedback section.
And the cgi cd label has nothing to do with it, it can have it and still have the original toon episodes, they probably just put it because it was tmnt and it made a cool label.
And i agree with deathknight :P it takes quite a bunch of time to convert em, i've tried doing that with tmpgenc and it took some time to convert, i'd be annoyed if i had to convert 190 files...But i still think they charge too much :dead:

raphael90, search through kazaa and just type in "ninja turtles." All kinds of episodes will come up.

Oh yeah i forgot about kazaa!
Go to www.kazaalite.com tho since the normal kazaa has spyware..
Oh and kazaa only has a bunch of eps, not all of em :ohwell: but it's still better than nothing, that's one of the places were i got one of my first eps :P
