What as with the Image TMNT?

I don't know, and I don't like it. But it doesn't matter it isn't the true universe anyway. In volume 4 none of those things have happened.

Because they're IMAGE!!! They didn't give any reason at all for what they did. There were no reason and no point. It's not so much what they did, but how they dealt with it. I mean, Don almost dies, Raph gets his face blown off, Splinter gets turned into a bat, and Leo gets his hand bitten off, and none of them bat an eye! And all in 23 issues.

As for the Tale of TMNT stories, I'm sure that they'll do some recruiting for new artists if they want to do that. They could probably get a number of guest artist to do one-shots.

Yeah but it would be nice to see one ofthe original guys do it. Of course if they get new artists who can draw, it's good too.

I will be posting new Ninja Turtle images on my web site soon, I am designing new uniforms and better ways to draw them for personal pleasure. Maybe Kali can submit her stories with my drawings? :)

I would love dan berger to do it. I asked him why he isn't drawing anything and said maybe u should make a few 1shots or a crossover and he just smiled :-?

I was checking out the Savage Dragon forum (for some strange reason :P), and here's (http://www.savagedragon.com/forum/webbbs_config.pl?read=44582) what Erik Larsen said about wether or not he was interested in doing the Turtles again:I'm not interested. My whole connection was to Michael Dooney-- not the TMNT. The desire to do a crossover came about from wanting to work with Michael. I'm not sure what he's up to these days but I'm not following the TMNT adventures these days. Since they ended up ditching everything we did with the characters (and they approved of) I'm in a surly enough mood to NOT want to persue another crossover.Yeah, I wonder why they removed the Image series out of continuity... :roll:

i actually quite enjoyed the image series. as far as freaky 'what the ****?!' tmnt series go, it beat the living shiznit outta the next mutation. it wasn't as good as the mirage series, but hey, what is??

still, i am glad Laird discontinued the Image continuity.

I only have two of the Image issues, but I'm intrigued enough to buy more. I recently purchased another issue online, and I'm hoping to get it soon. However... I'm glad they're taking Volume 3 out of continuity. And I'd love to see Dan Berger do a few TMNT comics. :D

Anyways... it's about the adventures of a little gingerbread man named Gutwallow. Stan Saki (Usagi Yojibmo) called it: "Lord of the Rings if Chuck Jones had written it." (that was paraphrased by the way).

If you're interested in buying it, then the first twelve issues (Vol. 1) are collected in a trade you can get from Dan's site (http://www.gutwallow.com) or amazon.com. Vol. 2 is 4 issues long and can bought at gutwallow.com, too. After 16 issues of self-publishing, Dan decided he couldn't do it any long (or something) and Digital Webbing (http://www.digitalwebbing.net) has agreed to publish a three-issue, bi-monthly, mini-series -- the first issue is suppossed to come out Dec. 26. Ed Dukeshire, the creator/owner/etc. or DW, has said the he would publish another mini-series if sales and fan-interest were high enough. That means everyone should buy it! :x .... :lol:

Yeah, I really like the Gutwallow series. I love Dan's sense of humor. Glad to hear that Gutwallow will be continuing, even if it isn't a regular series any more.

As for Image I'm in agreement with most of you. It was just too much of a train wreck series to be enjoyed. Although I admit I liked the idea of Raph being scarred and moonlighting as the Shredder. It just seems to fit his personality to me.

I think it would rule if they bring back the Tales of the TMNT. A.C. Farley and Micheal Dooney are both free if I'm not mistaken :wink: . There's definetely a lot of stories that haven't been told.
