Well, guys, I guess we all know trouble with girls. We never get what they're saying, they seem to be obsessed with shoes and whatever we do or say in front of them is just wrong and makes us look like idiots. And that's just the beginning of the story... a whole new dimension of "trouble" would emerge if we'd find a naked, beautiful and willing woman alone on the street. And we'd have done some drinking, we'd loose control and just let it happen, right? Hey, we can be lucky that we're guys and that the girls are used to us doing the darndest things... But I guess we wouldn't expect that girl to lay eggs the next morning, mainly because girls usually don't lay eggs to begin with.
But that's just what happened to Ethan, a loser and not exactly succesful with women. After a night of yelling at the whole town of Pennysville, getting drunk and thrown out of the one bar in town, he finds the girl. A good night's sleep later, the girl's laid eggs in Ethan's bathrooms and our of these eggs, other fullgrown women emerge, also naked, beautiful and willing. There's only one problem: They're rather energetic when it comes to "getting some". And they're jealous. It's enough to be female and the egg-girls want to kill you. Not only that, but there's a giant sperm-cell in the cornfield and an invisible wall around town. You don't need to be a genius to realize that Pennysville might have a bit of a problem...
"Girls" is a series by the Luna Brothers, who write better than they draw (but that doesn't mean that the art's bad, it means that the writing's very good). The series is now at issue #9 and they've yet to find out what happened to the town. And people die all the time, in unexplainable accidents, car accidents, bears... it's awesome, it's like they thought of everything. There's no heroes in Pennysville, the only one who could call himself a hero, the local policeman, is as clueless as the rest of the people is. And in addition to that, the people are all crummed up in one house and there's a lot of tension. It's like a horrormovie, only with more depth.
So, who's read this exceptional series? What do you think has happened in Pennysville? How will they get rid of the girls? Will the army manage to get in? Who's gonna die?
Have fun discussing.
