Girls

Well, guys, I guess we all know trouble with girls. We never get what they're saying, they seem to be obsessed with shoes and whatever we do or say in front of them is just wrong and makes us look like idiots. And that's just the beginning of the story... a whole new dimension of "trouble" would emerge if we'd find a naked, beautiful and willing woman alone on the street. And we'd have done some drinking, we'd loose control and just let it happen, right? Hey, we can be lucky that we're guys and that the girls are used to us doing the darndest things... But I guess we wouldn't expect that girl to lay eggs the next morning, mainly because girls usually don't lay eggs to begin with.

But that's just what happened to Ethan, a loser and not exactly succesful with women. After a night of yelling at the whole town of Pennysville, getting drunk and thrown out of the one bar in town, he finds the girl. A good night's sleep later, the girl's laid eggs in Ethan's bathrooms and our of these eggs, other fullgrown women emerge, also naked, beautiful and willing. There's only one problem: They're rather energetic when it comes to "getting some". And they're jealous. It's enough to be female and the egg-girls want to kill you. Not only that, but there's a giant sperm-cell in the cornfield and an invisible wall around town. You don't need to be a genius to realize that Pennysville might have a bit of a problem...

"Girls" is a series by the Luna Brothers, who write better than they draw (but that doesn't mean that the art's bad, it means that the writing's very good). The series is now at issue #9 and they've yet to find out what happened to the town. And people die all the time, in unexplainable accidents, car accidents, bears... it's awesome, it's like they thought of everything. There's no heroes in Pennysville, the only one who could call himself a hero, the local policeman, is as clueless as the rest of the people is. And in addition to that, the people are all crummed up in one house and there's a lot of tension. It's like a horrormovie, only with more depth.

So, who's read this exceptional series? What do you think has happened in Pennysville? How will they get rid of the girls? Will the army manage to get in? Who's gonna die?

Have fun discussing.

I got to read the first issue on Newsarma, and I would have to say I was quite impressed with the writting, I really loved the dialogue between the Character.

Good book so far, I'll have to pick it up if it comes out in trade.

Next time I'll just go "nice comic with naked women, read it"...

But really, the naked flesh isn't that much of a thriller, mainly because the naked ones are really creepy, they're the bad girls after all. And always remember: Read comic books because of the story, not because of the boobs (which totally ruins Battlechasers).

www.lunabrothers.com - check the gallery there. The art is really impressing and the story is even better. An investigation might really be worth it.

Joe Madureira's Psylocke was hot though.
Anyway I read the first couple of issues of "Girls" and it's really interesting. Especially the violent sperm-cell.

Okay, issue #10 is out and it gets rather messed up.
Spoiler:
No new revelations concerning the origins and the motives of the egg-girls, but the people have to deal with the things that were said... and then the power goes out. Turns out, that the egg-girls have found the hourse. Oh, and the kids are gone...

I can't wait for the next issue.

I've been reading this comic series, and I must say, it's really good. I'm enjoying the story alot.

Anyone who are interested in mystery type stories should really read Girls.

Issue 11 is out and it's very good (as usual).

The Girls enter the house and attack the women inside. Some make it to the cellar, but others aren't quite as lucky. Plus: What's up with the empty grave of the retard's mom and why are the girls dragging the women's corpses to the vornfield where the "sperm monster" is? It seems like this story's just getting started.

As usual, the Luna Bros. did an amazing job with the writing and the art, so it was a pleasure reading this issue. And I can't wait for next month's issue!

Oh, and am I the only one who thinks that the retard's dad is Girl's "Herr Starr" (you know, the guy from Ennis' "Preacher")?
