I wonder if the writers thought about bringing Tokka and Razar to the series. As we know, the movies were heavily based on the comics, and not the 87 series, I thought maybe the writers had wondered about Shredder having mutants like in the movie. I also read some were that they were originally going to have Tatsu in the series as Shredder's right hand, but created Hun instead cause they didn't want to look like they were short on creating new characters. Now if you think about it, Tatsu and Hun are very similar in many ways and Tatsu could so easily have been replaced by Hun. What do you think about the Tokka and Razar idea??
I don't want another rocksteady and bebop. Hun failing was enough.

Tokka and Razar don't have to be "Rocksteady and Bebop". They were totally different in the movie and very dangerous, not comic-based characters like in the old-school cartoon. I think seeing them in the new series could be very interesting. And how did Hun fail?
When I said I don't want another pair of them, I meant that I don't want to see another group of mutants constantly failing the shredder. Hun already did it in every episode.
How didn't Hun fail? I belive that in the end, after his constant failures, Saki was threatening him.

Your right, Hun always failed. I was surprised how easy Shredder was on Hun in the beginning. He was too hard on Baxter, and too easy on Hun. I for one wish they had kept Tatsu instead of Hun.

Tokka and Razor were created under protest from Eastman and Laird, the studio wanted Rocksteady and Bebop, they said "f*ck you", those characters were just used to appease both parties and just happened to be picked up and plugged in the original series.
They did'nt really have characters either, "ruthless and savage?", what movie were you watching? They were totally dependent on Shredder as their mommy for pete's sake
And at this stage, the new series is far from being "based on the comics", it's officially it's own animal now.

I also read that Tokka and Razar were created under protest. And I can see why. As much as I love the old series, Rocksteady and Bebop would have been horrible in the movie. How were they going to make them look credible??
And when I say the series is based on the comics, I don't mean that as a bad thing. I know it is very original in many ways and has indeed because it's own animal, but it's still alot closer to the comics than the original series, and many stories are based on the story archs from the comics.

Although, seeing bebob with sunglasses and purple hair, in a live movie would have been interesting to see...

uh yea you think...with talented creative people it works great allot of makeup artists are hacks but if they actully really care about the subject at hand it will look great. Roxy and I run around screaming smash toitles all the time lol. I don't know about anyone else but they really would have been a hell of allot better than tokka and rahzar.

I liked the Tokka and Razar used in the original animated series. Sure they were only in like one ep...but they seemed more smarter and Razar had a bit of a british accent.
