So lately I have been playing the crap out of the Remix of Snake Eater! I love it, the new camera angle did it for me. Anyways I made a wallpaper as a tribute to it! I hope ya guys like it. I LOVE how it turned out. And since I havn't done any graphic art in awhile I thought it might be time to shake the dust off.

My favorite part of it is that Snake is the only character in color, the rest are in black and white. I thought that added a nice touch to it.

YEah, I actually had it to where Eva and Ocelot were in color and the rest black and white*All the dead characters* But it looked weird so I just kept Snake in color and the rest b/w.

I think the composition looks a litttle forced. It's also a bit over-crowded.

Wow, good job Spitfire. Kinda reminds me that I should really return to my old saved game and finally beat MGS 3.

Hows that? Over crowded I can see that's why I made them so small haha. I don't know looks good to me. That is the most pictures I have ever used in a wallpaper before but I thought it actually looked pretty neat. Aw well.

That wallpaper looks great. It's good that you're getting back into graphic art. Hopefully this means will see more wallpapers from you that have to do with things like Metal Gear or other video games you play.

Will do, thanks for the comments. And sorry Backworm sometimes I get to full of myself. To full or pride, hence the above comment.

The background is great.

Only things that are bugging me :

1- There is a white outline on some of the characters and some parts of their bodies, not much of a big deal, but I just think its better when we see none of those. I dunno if you wanted them there, or if it is the selection you made of the characters, but it just look less like a collage when we don't see them. You know what I mean ?

2- There's just that big hole in the center of the wallpaper. You could try to get snake bigger and get his opacity down to 50-40 % and get him to fit in the center of the pic. I think it would look better. Or try to get the text bigger just to fill the gap.

Well that's it. You of course do what you want of my opinions, but its a great wallpaper. Would just need a final touch and you would be rolling my man. ;)

Thanks! Yeah I don't know why it does that outline. My theory is when I cut stuff out I can't get all the pixels from the character without cutting their actual picture. So it leaves a line of white which is expressed when I do a blur.

As for Snake, any bigger and he would look awful, and if I made the wallpaper any smaller it would look bad on bigger screens if it was streched. I left the middle open cause Snake's legs looked odd sticking out in the middle and I thought it nice to let the people see more of the backround, which I was quite proud of.

Here's what I meant by getting snake bigger.

Sure snake is not as good looking when he gets streched, but by getting his opacity down, it blurs it enough that we mearly can see the streching effect. As for the legs, well, not really a problem when you gradient them.

In my opinion, it looks bit better than before, cuz it adds to snake's stealth a bit, while closing the gap. That's just my opinion. Just don't look at the sh*tty selections I made to get snake behind the rest of the characters...

Quickly did this. I really don't like the way it looks with him in the middle. But here's a version of it like that for people who want it.

Indeed, get rid of the legs...

He just looks more like a ghost like this, with the knife in his hand, I just taught that it was fitting the concept of snake. Of course the best would be to get a really big pic and to put only his face in the backgroung or something like that...

But still that background kick a$$

The funniest for me is to find a good idea for it. I can work my a$$ out for hours before getting what I want. Then its all good.

That kind of background is extremely popular. You now see it alot, and it will stay for awhile that's for sure.

Yeah that's a shame really it used to be unique. Back when I started doing it. Now I got find a way to keep myself a step ahead of everyone. Doing it better then most people won't cut it for too much longer cause everyone is going to get better with me haha.

LOL !

Yeah man, teach us how to do it. Spitefire style !

Its been a few years now that I'm able to see this kind of background. Always gettin better with the time. And now its pretty much at his best. I doubt you will be able to improve it that much.. But, if you're a real artist, you'll find a way to ''reinvent'' it :P
