Sorry in advance if such a discussion has been had previously.

I find that my favourite original toon episodes were the ones where circumstances meant that the relationships between the characters were altered.

A few that spring to mind were:-

1. I can't remember the episode, but it was definitely season three - Rocksteady and Donatello were transported to an alien ship and had to co-operate for a while.

2. Bebop and Rocksteady Conquer the Universe - Shredder calls them idiots for the last time, and the mutants turn the anxietron ray on Shredder and Krang and try to conquer the city for themselves.

3. Take Me To Your Leader - The other three turtles had to try their hand at leading when Leonardo gets hit by a ray (it's always the funny rays that gets them.)

I am sure there are many others. What about the The Old Switcheroo? "I never thought I would be shaking hands with Shredder!"

My favorite one is Cowabunga Shredhead! The boys could have easily defeated shredder! Why didn't they destroy him when they had the chance?

Well think about it, do the turtles really even have a reason to kill Shredder? (This only goes for the old toon, most other TMNT universes they have a semi-justifiable reason to slay him)

That was Leonardo Lightens Up. In Take Me To Your Leader he just had a bad dream and left.

Actually he mish-mashed to 2 together, he was right until the part about Leo getting hit with a ray.

I thought that episode was called "Lighten Up, Leo!"

I'm not saying thats what its called, but if its not then what would make me think that it was? I feel like the walls are closing in on me, yall.

Well, for starters, when did they ever call themselves by the shorter versions of their names in the old toon?

On a side note:
I like ThisSchemeCannotFail's name. :D

Donatello calls Michelangelo "Mikey" in Usagi Yojimbo

I think Spawn Guy Ment in the titles of the episodes. And it is "Leonardo Lightens up" it's always been that and always will be.

I thought they had at a few points though I don't honestly remember any specifics.

Yea, I just wanted to share that with everybody. Does it ever happen in seasons 4 and onward?

I mean actual dialouge in the show.

Mike: Let me at those foot goons! (or somthing to that effect)
Don: Uh, too late Mikey our freind Usagi already took care of it.

Don't remember that. Kinda proves my point though, it was rare, if there were more in show cases of it. When I started watching the movies and reading the comics I was like "Who the hell are Leo and Raph?"

Well it's still not as bad when people come along and type things that just get up my nose such as: Ralph, Micky, Uthrom, Shonate or Shonte.
I'm sure theres allot more but thats the ones that I could think of right now that really bother the hell out of me to the point I want chop off babys fingers lol.

Oh yes, that is correct. I am getting my Leonardo walks off episodes mixed up! Those were strange dreams Leonardo was having - especially Rocksteady blowing a bubble.

Also in my original post, I said that the Donatello and Rocksteady being beamed up episode was 'definitely' in season three, but now I am not so sure.

I also agree that the turtles should be called by their full names. :D

Why?

And I say he just ate too much before going to bed that night, hence the attacked by poodles and dropped into soup idea.

And the use of bebops spaghetti chains, and the cheese danish heist.

If that episode had been called Lighten Up, Leo it would have won several emmys.
