I never liked it when people show up on the forums specify to promote their ebay auctions for some reason... :(

Not a fan of slabbed comics.
"It belongs in a mylar bag (and board)" (imagine that in the same tone as Indiana Jones' "it belongs in a museum").:P
Y'know, so it can stay in good condition, but still be read and enjoyed.

Hey, this is a TMNT fan site.
I'm sure huge old school TMNT fans appreciate the notice if they're really interested in the book.

I'd go for it if I had that kind of cash.

Its not just on this forum that they have showed up for the first time to post about this auction...
But I guess you really can't blame for trying to get exposure...
And I'm thinking the reserve is around 2k

I'm with Slash on this one. At least conspire to do it a few months ahead a time and drop the bomb when you have 50 posts or something.
^ Ditto. Heck, this thread and it's 'copy' are the only ones Agita has done.
I even had a feeling it would be the case the day the postings were done.

Thanks for the support. I'm fine with people who talk turtles and sell, but not those who just sell and take us for our cash.

I suspect most of the TMNT #1's sold on Ebay go to dealers. I don't think most of the fans here have $1k to fork over for a comic. But you never know, so it's worth a shot I guess.

I said this in the other thread, but I think some Technodromers could always take a cue from the Simpsons and pool the money together, trading the comic off amongst one another every few days.
Well, if I'm outsider, I'd come here and expect to drum up some interest...I mean, most fan bases are like that...
But maybe it just me, but it seems that as whole, TMNT fans just don't spend a heck of a lot money. Granted, most things are pretty affordable, with just a handful of things that garner serious $$$ (like TMNT 1, Gobbledygooks, and early art to name a few). But even the "afforable" things most fans don't jump on...because its "too expensive". Nothing wrong that (more for me!), but thats my feeling as a whole...
