On the official website I can not find one picture of Venus. I know people are gonna say"thats cause she sucked" but i likd her. Does anyone hve pictures that ued to be on there of her?(not in live action but drawn?)
and Zach from the cartoon is really cool. Is he in the comics? Anyone have pictures of him? Didnt h turn into a turtle? pics?

There is no point. They were forced into it, and Since Peter Laird got the sole ownership of the TMNT, Venus has been erased.

As far as Zach... he was the "origional" 5th turtle...except he was just a little boy who dressed up like one. It was kinda the old shows way of joking about the fans wanting to "grow up and be ninja turtles"

Yes they were saying that If there is no Female turtle, there won't be a show. Well Laird didn't have much to do with the show, Eastman did that. Laird was really disapointed about Next Mutation, and So after buing the ownership, Venus was erased for eternity.

Heh, there was a PC thing involved. They probably wanted to appeal to the girls watching the show, since girls never really had a role model in TMNT aside from April.
I think she had potential, and you can't say that no fan would want a female turtle to exist because there are more female mutant turtles out there in the fandom than you can shake a stick at. I don't think she would have worked well in any TMNT-verse other than TNM (or maybe TMNT Letters), but there are plenty of other characters out there that were only in one universe and didn't need to be "erased".
Wonder how much it would cost to buy her character rights from Peter...

Venus is actually the one reason I didn't like TNM.
I know that sounds SO harsh. It wasn't that I didn't like her...but that I didn't like the concept. Her back story seemed so far-fetched and stretched that it was FORCED.
I guess that was symbolic of how her existance was forced to begin with.
I like the idea of having the Turtles not being able to reproduce...but IF you had to have them reproduce I think there are better ways to go about it than to shove a long lost female turtle who JUST happend to know martal arts into the glass bowl. [Now...if that makes your head shake...(because in theory it would mine) feel free to PM me and I'll go into detail.]
The concept of venus is alright...in my opinion she would have had to be there from the start...else she is too forced...and that's why I didn't like her.
Just my thoughts though...no need to agree!

Hey, I never said the character was perfect. The idea for a female turtle was okay, but the backstory created by Saban, and in fact the entire way she was protrayed on the show, was horrid. However, coincedences do happen in real life, and things like that do fall into place. What confused me was haow she got from China to New York in less than a night! (I say she struck a deal with a demon, who will later come back for payment. Reminds me, gotta finish that fic.)
As a matter of fact, I'm playing around with the idea for a fan comic with Venus and the Dragonlord. Based on the TMNT Letters (which, BTW, were a hell of a lot better than TNM) the Dragonlord reaches out from his prison to pull Venus from her world to his (hence why she "dissapears" for the official universe.)
There are some pretty good fan fics out there already with a good portrayal of Venus.

Or how about a story where there was a parallel universe where the TMNT were all female, and Krang ended up bringing them together somehow.
Hmm, there already is a fan parody where the Turtles are all girls. TMKT, Teenage Mutant Kung-Fu Turtles, by Amandatello. I always thought a crossover between that and an official universe would be cool.

i agree with Kali the idea of her was alright... but there were far better ways to do it...I know it wasn't larid's fault...believe me he would have figured out a better way!

I dunno, she never bothered me. It's already a show about talking humanoid turtles, folks -- I could care less about the sex of 'em. Plus didn't she drive Shredder insane? Not even SPLINTA could do that! Oh Venus, we <3 you.

And Kali: Hey, I just checked out your artwork. Awesome stuff. I really like your Shredder drawings...the head looks a little flat, somehow, but there's something about it that just looks cool. I dunno! Rock on. :)

When the NM was on of course i only seen 2 scenes of one episode.(I can't put a good reason why I never seen much of the live action show).
In the beginning I don't remenber seeing Venus before on the show. So I just read the info of NM on the internet a year ago. So I just know that she's raised in China for 17 years and has magical powers.
I blame Laird for the live action to become a flop. Since he didn't have much control on TMNT back then.
Atleast 5 years after NM got cancel there comes the new show with a more successful idea.
I might never of seen much of the NM. Too bad there won't be any chances for it to be released on DVD either. Oh well.

Me personally, if I only had a Venus mini figure I'd shoot a TMNT lego animation starring her. I'd love to see Venus in the new show, if only Laird would give her the chance...
Kali: I'm guessing you wrote that fanfic a while ago (assuming you finished it?), but are you saying that your fanfic is based on the TMNT letters or that Venus's disappearance was actually explained in them in this way? And I'm assuming you mean the letters on the website, right?
Speaking of which, does anyone know the e-mail address that they used to have for Venus? I wonder if you'd get a reply if you tried to contact her...

I wouldn't mind seeing Venus in the new show, but it'd have to be a one-shot. Might be kind of cool, actually. Or like Ray suggested, from Usagi's world.

Here's an interesting origin,
Defeated yet again by the turtles, Shredder steal a canister of mutagen from the Utroms and has it delivered to the genetics division. The Foot Techs use the ooze to preform genetic experiments on a pet shop turtle, a female. The Foot give the turtle increased growth and intelligence, and when the experiments are complete the turtle is taught the way of ninjitsu and the black arts of magic. The female mutant turtle grows loyal to the Shredder, and is sent to assassinate the turtles. Her powers are great, the turtles fight using everything they got, but the female uses her mystic powers against them, such as teleporting out the way of the turtle[s]'s attacks or becoming invisible. The girl also uses martial arts against the TMNT. Leonardo finally spills her blood, but the female (Wounded but not dead) vanishes. Upon returning to the lair, Donatello analyses the blood sample that Leo collected in combat. Don is shocked to find a DNA match between them and the female who just attacked them. Could it be?
Later, up on the rooftops, the turtles (Whilst training) are surrounded by the Foot Ninjas. The turtles all draw their weapons, but the ninjas just stand there and wait. Then, the Shredder arrives; he has come to witness the battle between the turtles and his creation. The female appears and fights the turtles again. One by one, the turtles fall (Don't worry their not dead :D ) until finally Leonardo is left. Leo crosses swords with the girl, but during the fight, Leo's twin katana are knocked out of his hands. The female turtle poses to strike, when Leo reveals the truth to the girl; He is her brother! Feeling betrayed (She was raised to see Shredder & The Foot Clan as her family), the female turtle turns on the Shredder. But the girl turtle is no match for her creator, not even her mystic powers can save her. Shredder holds the turtle up by the neck, over the edge of the 100-story building. The Shredder quotes "You have betrayed me! Your Creator! Now you must pay the price for betrayal!" At the last second, Leonardo kicks The Shredder over the edge of the building. He, The Shredder and the turtle girl all fall! During the drop, Shredder and Leo engage in hand-to-hand combat. But after kicking himself away from the Shredder, Leo jumps for the girl turtle, grabs her and swings to safety using a grapple hook.
The female turtle is injured from her fight with the Shredder, so the boys take her back to the lair to heal. Splinter (Who still carries the book on art) picks the name Venus de Milo for her. Venus becomes friends with her new family, but during the night she sneaks out and goes alone, to try and find her place in the world…

Also, if the Turtles keep beating Shredder, yet Venus can take them out WITH AUTHORITY, shouldn't she be able to beat Shredder too?
Still, the creating of mutants to fight mutants is something the old Shredder would have done -- not the new one. In retrospect, I even think that seemed a little off for the movie Shredder in II.

But the Shredder is her teacher, Venus is just the student. Think about it. Also, did not the new toon Shredder create the mutants called Stonebitter, Razerfist and Quarry?
Yeah, what the hell was that? Admittedly those eps aired towards the end of my senior year or something, so I wasn't really paying attention at the time. But weren't they (Razorfist, Quarry, STONEBITER -- the only one I'll buy, and only because him looka NEAT) accidents, as opposed to things he made to send after the Turtles?

He create mutants in his search for the Utroms. Shredder had reason to believe his enemies had taken refuge underground, so the genectic division mutanted human subjects to explore deep below the Earth.

i kinda like the idea of a mutant sent after the turtles to destroy them...and if it's a girl turtle then so be it...but i have to aggree venus would ecentually be a foot elite with the fighting style and the vanishing....and the turtles would never be taken out by a single elite ninja but... she might stalk them, track them, and one by one capture them...leaving leo and/or splinter to rescue his brothers from the shredder's new lacky which in the end he finds out is a female turtle...
Why didn't she kill them u might ask...."cause they r like me!!! they r my enemy but they r me!!" the ep could be titled..."we've met the enemy..."

If Shredder created his own mutant turtle to assassinate the turtles in the new show while I would want it to be Slash but I guess I could handle Venus in his place I guess. I would at least give her a second chance if given an origin like that for the new show.
