which turtle do you think fans are the most judgmental and harsh on and are never happy with his character and have some complaint about how he is written or presented in the show?

Mikey he never gets a break, he's treated the same in almost every universe.

The old-school Mirage comics fan wants a Raphael that is borderline crazy, with testosterone levels off the charts. We didn't have that for classic toon, so imagine their reaction. :ohwell: Mikey has stayed relatively consistent, whereas Raphael's characterizations have been all over the place in different universes. That's where all the main complaints have stimmed from.
Raphael.

I'm going to go with Michaelangelo. He is the most raped of all the turtles in terms of portrayal and I see mostly fans complaining about him. My self included.

Poor Leonardo hardly ever makes the favorites list. People say he is an uptight goody two shoes in pretty much all universes.

I'd have to say Michelangelo. He's usually been either really dumbed down or hasn't been given much character development at all. In the early Mirage comics his character seemed to usually be in the background with the exception of his solo comic.

Leonardo always did have that Superman type of personality. I think people (unfortunately) often mistake responsible leadership for being a "goody two shoes." Leonardo is a well-rounded character nonetheless. He's definitely my favorite Turtle.

Donatello. He's only ever appreciated in the old toon and the Mirage universe.

I think all there unique personalities fills up the series, and there's no need to bash any off'em; mainly speaking from an ot perspective.

I always thought maybe Donetello. Sure, Mikey hasn't been portrayed in a positive light since the first action movie, but Donny often get's shoved to the background in all mediums save for the canon comic books.
And it's a shame, because Donetello is way more than just a smart turtle.

Not in the old toon either. Don had a big role in almost every episode, and was constantly saving the day. Honestly, Don felt more like a leader than Leonardo did in the old show.

I think I'm also going to say OT Leonardo. Poor guy never catches a break from fans. Eighther he is to much of a teacher's pet or a goody-two-shoes, or he is to bossy, or he's whiney, he's not leader-eash enough. No one has anything nice or posetive to say about OT Leonardo. I've even heard people say that he sounds gay, WTF? :o

I guess I'm guilty of this, to be honest 80's Leonardo hasn't really impressed me to much. He comes across to me as a wanna be Leader than an actual leader. Only found him convincing in season one and what I've seen a of season two.
I was very turned off by his behavior in Snakes Alive.

Venus. Fans were so harsh on Venus that she was given a Retcon Punch by Peter Laird.

I was just about to say her. Not that they shouldn't have been hard on her.... she had ZERO personality and came off as a fifth wheel. Plus, she was basically created to satiate the need for a possitive female role model in a Kid's show. Too bad the idea of putting in April came into the unproduced second season. I thought the show had potential, but it just fell flat after Venus was introduced.

Well, I never meant to imply that her being wiped out of existence (based on how she was in NT:NM) wasn't deserved. But, still, fans were harsh on her, even if it was for good reason.

I wouldn't mind seeing Venus brought back, possibly as a cameo in an alternate timeline or something... the writers can flesh her out, work on that weak, cliche "strong female" personality, and give us a Turtle to remember.

 I saw that one coming!
And don't get me wrong. I despise TNM. Their interpretation of the Shredder was a total farce.

I really think it's Michaelangelo. No matter what role he plays or medium he is in, theres complaints about him being stupid, childish or useless. If he gets lots of screen time people complain about how annoying he is, if he get little screen time people complain that he is under used. Most of the time when fans are talking about the turtles there is always something posetive said about Raph, Don, or Leo, but Mikey ushaully gets a long list of complaints no matter what he does. I'm also guilty of this but thinking this over I think Mikey is the turtle fans are least likely to find something redeemable about his actions opr over-all demeener.

Yeah...Mikey has been shat on more than a car under a tree full of birds. But come to think of all of them have a one point or another so I don't know.

yeah but not nearly as much as 2k3 Mikey. I don't think I've seen any other version of Mike get as ripped apart as he does. Especially around here on the drome no one seems to like him very much except out of loyality of what he is.

I love 2K3 Mikey not because of loyalty or because he is my favorite character. Though of course, you can't compare 2K3 Mikey to Mirage Mikey. Way different.

Michelangelo and Donatello are way underused, especially in the '07 movie and in the 2k3 series, as compared to the original show and the first movie.

I don't think Donatello is underused. He gets quite a lot of screentime and chances to show his genius.

2k3 Mikey cracks me up. I've been warned that he gets more and more annoying as the show goes on, but so far it's all good. Though I'm only halfway through season 2.

he does actually get worse through out so be warned. :(
