Wich is your favorite Ninja Turtle series?

Im fifteen. I watched the 2003 series growing up and i watched the old vhs tapes when i was little. So when i was asked this question i was stumped a little later i came to the conclusion that i like the 2003 series better. By a little bit. I asked this on a different forum and it wasnt popular. I really want to know what other fans think.

But I gotta say the 80s cartoon - I grew up with it and has a big place in my heart! Still today every now and then I fall over a bunch of Photos from my childhood and remember those days while I was playing with my Turtles Toys, watching the VHS Tapes and also disguising myself for carneval as Donatello - the good old times:D

2K3! 80s was fun, but 2K3 was way more cool.

I can't vote. I was 12 years old when the NT first aired, right in their target audience and it was the sh*t. So I never got to experience much of the old show as a kid, I saw the few VHS's I owned, Euro Vacation episodes, and Red Sky... and even though I loved it then, I like it even more now.

I probably prefer the 2k3 series overall, but I have more "fun" with the old toon, if that makes any sense.

In other words the original toon is more fun for me to watch, yet I enjoy the 2k3's plots and fight scenes better, of course.

I'm sure everyone knows what I'm trying to say.

2003 by a mile. 1987 is pretty good at best with more cheese than awesome. I grew up on 87' but I much prefer the darker/more serious style over the "Ninja Simpsons" style.

I voted for the 80s since that is what I grew up on... 2k3 is still awesome but if I had a gun to my head and had to choose... 80s baby!

As someone who prefers the comic to the cartoons, I've got to go with 2k3.I'm not sure that always holds true. I vastly, vastly prefer the comics to either cartoon, but still can't choose which show I like best.

The Fred Wolf show is cheesey and repetitive, but I'll be damned if it isn't entertaining. The 4Kids show is probably the best Saturday morning adaptation we'll get but sometimes it takes itself way too seriously for the toy ad it really is.

The weird thing is, a lot of the time I'll sit down to watch one cartoon and halfway through an episode, I'll say, "You know, I'd really rather watch the other one." Then I give up and read "City at War" again instead.

2003 for me. It was darker and more close to the original comic. I did enjoy the 80s toon when I was younger but now I cant really watch it. The 2003 series however I can watch all day.

I think people also need to realize, this is the 80's censors versus the 2000's. I'm amazed the old toon was allowed to get away with what it did, considering how asinine cartoon censors were back then.

It wasn't until B:TAS came out in 1992 that cartoons were allowed to mature. Hence why TMNT started to get more action oriented with Seasons 6-10.

As bad as Next Mutation was, I think everyone should watch through it at least once. Its only 26 episodes, and some parts have a, "it's so bad its funny" kind of mentality to it.

its pretty bad. i wanted to see it when i was younger then when i did see it i was upset becuz it was terrible. :tcry: i was 6 and i almost cried it was that bad. if you never see any of it GOOD!!!

By a very narrow margin, I chose the 1980s version.

I personally love both series, for various different reasons which actually makes this poll kind of difficult to make up my mind about. All in all, I had to boil down to what it was about each that really annoyed me or that I hated and basically what it came down to was simply:

2003 Series: I can think of about 4 characters I really despise, even if they're really minor ones, one shots.
1987 Series: Even one shot characters I liked so that pushed 1987 series into winning place

I have to say OT on this one. 2K3 was good but the re-watch value is low for me. Plus the comic adaption episodes are a joke. The turtles used to be funny and action packed. When the new series hit they seemed to forget the comedy part. The charm was missing. They tried to bring in humor later on but it just centered around Mikey acting like a retard and someone hitting him for it.

The old toon was VERY popular over here.
The 2003 one was canceled ahead of time...I myself think, that it wasnt a wonder.


I also vote for the old toon.
