Wich is your favorite Ninja Turtle series?

TuЯco · 02-18-2010, 03:48 PM

Im fifteen. I watched the 2003 series growing up and i watched the old vhs tapes when i was little. So when i was asked this question i was stumped a little later i came to the conclusion that i like the 2003 series better. By a little bit. I asked this on a different forum and it wasnt popular. I really want to know what other fans think.

Well You forgot one more Series! the 1998 "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation" Series

But I gotta say the 80s cartoon - I grew up with it and has a big place in my heart! Still today every now and then I fall over a bunch of Photos from my childhood and remember those days while I was playing with my Turtles Toys, watching the VHS Tapes and also disguising myself for carneval as Donatello - the good old times

That show shouldn't even count for being so horrible and not even making it.

909 Turtle Fan · 02-18-2010, 06:12 PM

2K3! 80s was fun, but 2K3 was way more cool.

*ToTheNines* · 02-18-2010, 07:04 PM

I can't vote. I was 12 years old when the NT first aired, right in their target audience and it was the sh*t. So I never got to experience much of the old show as a kid, I saw the few VHS's I owned, Euro Vacation episodes, and Red Sky... and even though I loved it then, I like it even more now.

*CyberCubed* · 02-18-2010, 07:42 PM

I probably prefer the 2k3 series overall, but I have more "fun" with the old toon, if that makes any sense.

In other words the original toon is more fun for me to watch, yet I enjoy the 2k3's plots and fight scenes better, of course.

I'm sure everyone knows what I'm trying to say.

next mutation all the way * runs away with a maniac laughter*
The NT, I liked it more.

I'm gonna have to say the '80s series, but the 2K3 series is cool too.

Alex · 02-19-2010, 01:44 AM

I grew up with the 80's turtles. So I'll vote for that. But I still like the 2k3-series.

*Oculus Orbus* · 02-19-2010, 02:02 AM

I grew up with the OT, but I actually prefer the 2k3 series. I love both, but I enjoy the new toon more.

*Luzmagica* · 02-19-2010, 03:29 AM

This Poll will be perfect if there were a 3º option to vote: Both cartoons....

*Guitar_Raph* · 02-19-2010, 04:17 AM

2K3 for three reasons...

Shell Cycle
Turtle Titan
Wayne Grayson

prescribeddrone · 02-19-2010, 04:34 AM

2003 by a mile. 1987 is pretty good at best with more cheese than awesome. I grew up on 87' but I much prefer the darker/more serious style over the "Ninja Simpsons" style.

*Original TMNT Cartoon Fan* · 02-19-2010, 05:26 AM

1987. And you forgot Next Mutation. even if it's not my favourite.

Mona_Lisa · 02-19-2010, 11:38 AM

I like them both... but I like the 80's toon better!

^This
I got the first DVD of the OT a little while ago and while it had it's moments it was wayyyy to cheezy

Which one do I dislike least? The 4Kids series.

*Master Splinter* · 02-19-2010, 04:06 PM

I voted for the 80s since that is what I grew up on... 2k3 is still awesome but if I had a gun to my head and had to choose... 80s baby!

As someone who prefers the comic to the cartoons, I've got to go with 2k3.

I'm not sure that always holds true. I vastly, vastly prefer the comics to either cartoon, but still can't choose which show I like best.

The Fred Wolf show is cheesey and repetitive, but I'll be damned if it isn't entertaining. The 4Kids show is probably the best Saturday morning adaptation we'll get but sometimes it takes itself way too seriously for the toy ad it really is.

The weird thing is, a lot of the time I'll sit down to watch one cartoon and halfway through an episode, I'll say, "You know, I'd really rather watch the other one." Then I give up and read "City at War" again instead.
