German TMNT Theme...

[GK Punk]

This song cracks me up... could someone translate it for me?

[Barkworm]

If I find the lyrics I can give it a try. But I have to warn you, the lyrics are stupid as hell!!!

[The Defibrillator]

lol, I have to see this!

I have the Captain Planet theme song in german too. thats pretty funny!

If i had the lyrics I would give em to ya barkworm, but alas i don't

[Barkworm]

O.k. here it goes! Don't blame me for orthographical or grammatical mistakes! :x
First Hobbit's wish, the Captain Planet theme song:

Captain Planet , Earth’s hero!
Fight to make our environment clean!
His strength is given by us, he shall fight for our planet!
Captain Planet , Earth’s hero!
Fight to make our environment clean!
Battle the rotten ones who are responsible for pollution,
those villains who exploit Earth!

RAP:
The Planet Team appeals you to join us!
Only you can help to rescue Earth!
We don’t want any exploitation and pollution!
Listen what Captain Planet tells you:

YOU HAVE THE POWER!!!!

 Even as a kid I hated that one! But I totally loved this:

Here they come, the Hero Turtles!
Ultra-cool Hero Turtles!
Everyone knows the Hero Turtles!
Always prepared!

They’re a super-awesome team (Of course!)
when they fight against fear and terror (that’s for sure)!
If you are in trouble
THE TURTLE BOYS WILL RESCUE YA!

Everyone knows the Hero Turtles!
Ultra-cool Hero Turtles!
Raphael is soo cool!
Micaelangelo goes for it!
Leonardo fights as Donatello planned! (here he sings an empty phrase, there isn’t a translation for it, it’s just stupid!)

Even if it gets too dangerous
THE TURTLE BOYS WILL NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Here they come, the Hero Turtles!
Everyone knows the Hero Turtles!
Mega-awesome Hero Turtles!

ALWAYS PREPARED! (And always smarter!)

When I was about eight years old I sang this every night and day! :D
OMG, the lyrics are sooooo awful! :o
Both are not entirely correct but I guess you won't notice my translation mistakes!

[Nickokapo]

Mega-awesome Hero Turtles!
omg that's mega-awesome barkman...tho i think i prefer the us theme :P
Now i gotta find the german theme itself, just to see how it sounds like :D

[Barkworm]

Mega-awesome Hero Turtles!
Yeah, something like that, it sounds dumb anyway! :P

[Nickokapo]

Yeah :D Here's the song itself:
http://thetechnodrome.com/sounds/tmnt_gertheme.wav
They sound so funny :D

[Tokka-B]

Wow, those lyrics are so pitiful, on both songs...sorry barkworm,
It probly rhymes in German though, right?

[Barkworm]

Yeah, but that fact doesn't make the lyrics better...or at least just a bit!

[Tokka-B]

Well it is because a direct translation into another language almost always will never work, so I bet the lyrics of the Smurfs would look alright...

[Barkworm]

I think our Smurfs didn't have a theme song, just a narrator.

[Tokka-B]

Oh yea true...but I meant German cartoons in general.

[Barkworm]

I got it but if I'm not totally mistaken the Smurfs are French!

[Tokka-B]

ooops, they aren't German, sorry. But they aren't French either...

They are Belgian, there we go... :)

[Barkworm]

Finally! :D

[That Matt Guy]

Man. Those Germans, what will they do next?

[Tokka-B]

:-? :-? :-?

[That Matt Guy]

:-? :-? :-?

:P :P :P

[Tokka-B]

You know that there were no less than 256 episodes made for the Smurfs?!?! That's alot of episodes..... :o

[Nickokapo]

Yeah but dont let that fool ya, each ep was 10 minutes long :)
Unless you count 2 10 mins eps and still gives you 256...in that case... :o

[Duke]

 That song cracks me up

[Nturtle]

That song is soooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really best song EVER!!!

I have to send that to a German friend of mine!! She would love it!!

Thanks for posting that, that is hillarious!!!!

[Barkworm]

You are welcome! :D

[Reznorite420]

Shouldn't this be in GTMNTD?

[Nickokapo]

Yup i was wondering the same thing :ohwell:
BTW look at this:
http://thetechnodrome.com/sounds/TurtlesLyrics.txt
and the song itself is here http://thetechnodrome.com/sounds/IdolNinjaTurtles.wav
According to the contributor's note, they never used this song and used the original tmnt theme with subs in it...weird.

[The Defibrillator]

Lol, barkworm!!

those are hilarious!

at the end of the german tmnt theme, it sounds like he says "Hit the shower!"

[Nickokapo]

 i could swear i heard "Leonardo fights as Donatello planned!" even though i was listening to it in german.

[Reznorite420]

Nicko: He's asking for the translation of the German theme song, not the Japanese.

[Nickokapo]

Rez420: I know, and someone already gave it to him, and since this seems to be a thread about lyrics i thought it'd be fine to post the japanese ones which i found interesting, that's why i've said 'by the way'.
Or are we not allowed to go off-topic from the main topic a bit even if what i am posting is loosely related to it?Well then that sucks.

[Anarchistguy]

I got it but if I'm not totally mistaken the Smurfs are French!
Yeah, they're called "Les Schtroumpfs"
