The Archie comics say Sarnath...the closed captions on the DVD and official site say Zarnov. Does anyone have the old VHS tape? Does the box back or those closed captions also say Zarnov or Sarnath? What does the Michelangelo covered children's book call it?

I think it's Sarnath. Closed captioning isn't always correct. I remember in Four Turtles and A Baby when Burne said Vernon called in sick, closed captioning said Merlin. Plus when I hear everyone say the name in the episodes, it sounds like it's pronounced Sarnath.

In the Incredible Shrinking Turtles children's book, it is spelled Sarnath. I trust Random House, so let's say that it is in fact Sarnath.

I'm pretty sure it's sarnath, as Zarnov doesn't sound exactly like it in the episode.
Closed-captionists can be so damn lazy sometimes... :tgrumble:

Then again, they've spelled the word 'Ninja' wrong, so I would take this with a pinch of salt...

Ha...at least "Sarnoff" is kinda a phonetic spelling....:P Not sure where the heck Zarnov came from. I'd chalk it up to crap captioning...but the OFFICIAL SITE has it spelled thus.

This. And it's also Sarnath in the TMNT Adventures comics (when he actually appears).

And the Incredible Shrinking Turtles book by Random House say Sarnath. Ok, maybe we should ask: Where the heck did Zarnov come from?
