Hey guys! Been awhile.
Between more pressing things (ie real life), I put together this Mirage TMNT style plush Raph.

The "base" is one of the old 28 inch plush Turtles from the early 90s. He was a garage sale find, missing his mask and belt, and since I had the material I figured, what the hell?

I used a little hot glue to clean up the edges and to attach the mask to the face but otherwise it's hand-stitched.

Whadaya think?? I was thinking of selling it or putting it on eBay or something. Anybody interested?

Hey that's awesome dude! Totally neato. Lovin' the pads & the eyebrows. Did you ever get started on that Krang puppet?

Gasp! Somebody remembers! Seems like that was months ago. This guy was actually underway before the Krang puppet idea. Then real life came up and to make a long story short, no, I didn't! But I do have a comic book coming out soon that has nothing to do with the Ninja Turtles!

Thank you, and thanks Wal-Mart for the cheap Halloween ninja weapon sets!

I have a Leo that size...I think. Is it a very stiff plush, not something you'd wanna cuddle with?

Well, I'm a little beyond my cuddling-with-plush days (only because my wife looks at me funny) but yeah, it's that stiff plush. Feels like it's stuffed with styrofoam wrapped in newspaper or something.

Very cool plush Raph, and it's nice to see something customized that's different from the usual action figures.

Looks like this guy and half my Turtle collection is eBay-bound this weekend. For some reason my wife thinks living room furniture is more important than Ninja Turtles toys. I think she might be insane.

I normally pass over plushies... but this is really cool looking to me. Any plans to make more?

As much as I'd like to say that your loss is our gain, I implore you not to let your wife dictate what you do with your collection. It's your stuff, dude.
The first time my girlfriend stayed over I made her use my TMNT sheets--it was a calculated move on my part to gauge her acceptance! :twink:

i feel your pain buddy- my hubby doesnt like me keeping a huge display of TMNT either- in fact, if i was actually lucky enough to win this- i am sure i would receive the "why on earth do you need that" look and a big sigh.

Not at the moment. I have a Krang handpuppet in the very early stages. I'm self publishing a comic book and that's eating up all my time right now. Maybe one of these days!

My wife is actually super cool and lets me have our huge game room as my personal display space. That's in addition to the Disney-themed guest bedroom we set up.
I'm blaming her, but it was actually me who walked in there and said "When was the last time I touched any of this stuff? We need a new couch!" But I always say that, then I sell something, then I end up buying two more things. That's the life of a collector.

LOL yeah - this isn't one of those things that can sit quietly in a corner someplace. Right now he's sprawled across our pool table. Actually I think I heard him in there at 2 in the morning racking 'em up and challenging my Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to a game of 9 ball. It's like some warped version of Toy Story in there.
