Custom Plush

cartoonistaaron · 10-30-2011, 07:47 PM

Hey guys! Been awhile.

Between more pressing things (ie real life), I put together this Mirage TMNT style plush Raph.

The "base" is one of the old 28 inch plush Turtles from the early 90s. He was a garage sale find, missing his mask and belt, and since I had the material I figured, what the hell?

I used a little hot glue to clean up the edges and to attach the mask to the face but otherwise it's hand-stitched.

Whadaya think?? I was thinking of selling it or putting it on eBay or something. Anybody interested?

Hey that's awesome dude! Totally neato. Lovin' the pads & the eyebrows. Did you ever get started on that Krang puppet?

Love those sais! Nice job!

Gasp! Somebody remembers! Seems like that was months ago. This guy was actually underway before the Krang puppet idea. Then real life came up and to make a long story short, no, I didn't! But I do have a comic book coming out soon that has nothing to do with the Ninja Turtles!

Thank you, and thanks Wal-Mart for the cheap Halloween ninja weapon sets!

I have a Leo that size...I think. Is it a very stiff plush, not something you'd wanna cuddle with?

Very nice.

Well, I'm a little beyond my cuddling-with-plush days (only because my wife looks at me funny) but yeah, it's that stiff plush. Feels like it's stuffed with styrofoam wrapped in newspaper or something.

Are you going to make his brothers-plushies for a whole set???

Very cool plush Raph, and it's nice to see something customized that's different from the usual action figures.

Looks like this guy and half my Turtle collection is eBay-bound this weekend. For some reason my wife thinks living room furniture is more important than Ninja Turtles toys. I think she might be insane.

This looks superb! I love it!

cartoonistaaron · 11-06-2011, 06:02 PM

Thanks, Donny!

Anybody else who loves this guy can check it out on eBay! Bid early! Bid often! Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!

As much as I'd like to say that your loss is our gain, I implore you not to let your wife dictate what you do with your collection. It's your stuff, dude.

The first time my girlfriend stayed over I made her use my TMNT sheets--it was a calculated move on my part to gauge her acceptance!
