Over/under on Shredder debut

Similar to the mousers thread, now we'll look at when you think we'll see the first appearance of the Shredder. Appearing in the very first episode of TOS and not until the tenth episode of the 4kids series, I will set it at 5 for this series. Also, we need a full Shredder appearance (not simply Oroku Saki).

Shredder appeared in the first episode it didn't matter that he didn't have his armor on in the 4kids series.

It depends on the plot structure. The 87 series had a five part episodic pilot, whereas, the 2003 series was a serial one, and the latter's writing could go in many directions. To hedge my bet, I'll say Nicktoon Shredder will show up either the second or third episode into the series, mainly as it usually takes to the second or third episode to fully establish the Big Bad in most cartoon series. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean he couldn't have a quick cameo in the first episode, either.

Another question: Are we also counting when Shredder first clashes against the Turtles in a physical confrontation? Because that tends to happen later in Turtle media, as well (87 Shredder didn't do it until episode 3 with Mike and 2003 Shredder didn't do it until much, much later).

Putting the shredder armor on took 10 episodes in the 2003 cartoon. I remember waiting to hit episode 10. I would hope the second episode the Ninja Turtles would meet thier greatest enemy.

I liked them slowly building up to him wearing the armor. If Saki can be as charismatic and intimidating as he was in the 2k3 series without armor then I'm in no hurry to see him in armor. I actually prefered him without it in the 2k3 series, bummed he never actually fought without it like he did in the first 2k3 game and he was way harder than with armor.

I always though his armor in the 2k3 series was too much. (covered head to toe) I'm looking forward to this series' Shredder as Cyber Shredder from Tournament Fighters is my favorite look of Shredder so far, and this version isn't too far from it.

I would have liked the brow to half the nose shown.I don't care if he has gloves or nor not but part his face should be seen.

He did fight out of the shredder armor once in Exodus Part 1.Splinter and the turtles minus Don engaged him in his penthouse. The fight saw part of his arm and face rip off to show the utrom exoskelteon.

I was thinking the same thing. It's most likely we'll see Saki as Shredder early than the 4kids show.

and his blades on his armor are to bigg

In the 2003 serie's his armor looks GREAT

We haven't even seen him in action yet, lets just wait. He looks alright and his bio sounds good. How can you say his face doesn't look good when we have only seen his eyes? I like his long blades in this show, this way he can keep the Turtles and Splinter at bay when ever they fight.

I agree on the armor bit. I hate his new look. It looks too much. I prefer a Shredder with simple armor. It makes him look more menacing... the less armor, the better. Shows how badass of a ninja he is.
But i'll disagree with you on the 100% part. I'm watching this show whether or not Shredder looks like a can-opener or not. We'll just have to wait and see.

and well if I see his eye's it looks like a old man.
And his armor its a NO NO......

The old Shredder I know from the 80's cartoon is cool
The Shredder from the 2003 cartoon is damn cool
and when I see pic's of this new Shredder and toy.
It's a 100% NO to his armor.
But I will see the TMNT when it's on TV :D

It's okey, you are not rude. Well the video on youtube where some close up's about the toy Shredder and I seen 1 pic of his face/eyes true Google and its not my thing. Someone on youtube say's the new Shredder is darker then the Shredder from 2003. well I think the 2003 Shredder is way darker then the new one, I mean in TMNT 2003 Shredder has red eyes and when he is evil/mad his eyes glows, his armor is way better then te new one.
