Also, I may have the opportunity to ask some questions to the cast and crew, so if anyone wants to submit questions for them I'll pool my favorites and ask some if I can.

Awesome. Here are some of my questions:

1. Will the show be having any major story arcs?

4. To Mae: As the daughter of the voice of Mona Lisa in the original series, how have you looked up to Pat Musick's voice work, and your reaction to the episode "Raphael Meets his Match"?

No, the ones who can answer questions about the international market are, well... I guess the sales people at Viacom. And the sales people aren't attending now, are they? :)

Those attending are actors, who know nothing of the show that doesn't include the script or their roles. There's the possibility that some of them don't even know their character's design, or the parts of the script that doesn't include their character.

The executive producer is also attending, but again, he doesn't know anything about the show that doesn't include the creative process or what Nickelodeon wants from this show. He doesn't know what countries will air it, or when, or why or how. Well, maybe why or how. But not the other ones.

Because they're not in charge of Greek Nickelodeon. They're there to talk about the show itself, not when it premieres internationally.

Has anyone checked this out www.TurtlesvsFoot.com? That is what's showing on that big screen there. You have to go to the site on your mobile phone and then you can claim a hat from somewhere at comic-con and do some other stuff. I put in my number and Splinter called me... That was neat... I'm not at comic-con myself so I can't claim the hat or win any prizes but it was neat to get a call from Splinter... I chose Turtle, so I assume if you choose Foot, Shredder will probably call you...

I'm loving the voices for Splinter and Shredder. I enjoy that KMR's Shredder sounds new, but with touches of his other voice-work too. I'm especially loving that Splinter sounds very similar to the '87 version.

I REALLY wish I could have been there this year...if anyone there see's this, if there is any free-bee things there...could you grab me some? (I would of course pay to have them then shipped to me once you're back from comicon...)

I didn't OWN a cell phone until I was 17, and my daughter already knows how to use a smartphone, change the channels on tv, and work a PS3 controller for Netflix. I have to say I think Nick's marketing team is really doing a great job with the TMNT launch so far. Remember just a few months ago when were all like "WTF?" Everything I'm seeing on the Nick site, pics from this con, the apps, toys, game, etc. has been phenomenal. I hope it's getting little kids and non-hardcore TMNT fans excited too.

The new Turtles costumes look really freaky to me. Something about the Nick designs just doesn't translate well to costumed characters, IMO. If one of those things came up to me, it would freak me out.

They have more character than the 25th ones, but I think those worked better. Less freaky, lol.

Thanks! I was thinking when I was going to print them I would make them smaller, kinda of like those old concert promo posters, but once I noticed the sizes were 27inch by 17inch I went ahead and kept it at that. I was actually surprised they printed so nicely (aside from the purple that should be blue), the printer I used is almost 10 years old and I've had to have it repaired several times.

Nice posters! While I am cautiously optimistic for the series, I am enjoying all the promo materials so far. Quick question, any comic readers out there happen to know if the tag line "every journey begins with a single step" is intended to be a lift from the ending of Michael Dooney's issue in #47 which essentially has the exact same line?

I've been loving the promo stuff too. These posters just struck me as something that needs to be on my wall. They are much better than the Up In Smoke and Natural Born Killers posters I had in that spot. Nick should be selling this stuff. I'd buy it.

I really doubt this, since the only reason he appeared in past animated shows was because Peter Laird and Stan Sekai are friends... since Peter no longer has any rights to TMNT, Stan has no reason to let nick borrow his character

It just really depends on what Stan wants to do, the main reason the crossovers started was friendship. If he wants to allow his character to be used for promotion that's one thing.

I'm loving the theme and the opening. Not quite what I was expecting, but I definitely like it. Was really nice to get a glimpse of Spike, Dogpound, and Fishface in there.

The training vid was really nice. I'm loving the sounds of their weapons. I like how we sort of got a new Raph vs old Raph bit. Splinter sounds awesome. I look forward to further training scenes with him.

I don't care for tall upright Splinter. To me, the CGI movie nailed his design. I always picture him shorter than the turtles with a bit of a hunch (you know, like he actually needs his cane).

Yeah, the topics are definitely very disorganised at the moment. I think it's because we suddenly had this massive influx of new things and nobody was quite sure where to put them. Some of the topics could do with renaming or splitting up, like the one which started out discussing the theme song but more clips got added and we started discussing those as well. I keep forgetting which topic each clip/trailer/piece of info is being discussed in.

Just watched the new footage.

Love the theme song. Not too crazy about the lyrics (although how can you note love the homage to the '87 theme throughout), but had a smile on my face throughout and was positively giddy at the issue #1 cover homage at the end. Looks like they're remembering this is, while still a kids' show, part of a 25-year-old comic book franchise. It's just cool to get fan-service like that.

The training clip is cool. The animation and detail look better than what we saw in the initial trailer, so I'm feeling good about that. In fact, the action was pretty well-handled; Raph flipping Leo with the sai on the wrist was great. Not a fan of the 2D manga-styled reactions they're using, but it's an aesthetic choice I can get over. Splinter is the second character after Shredder whose design I can fully say I dislike, but whatever; character designs don't make or break the show.

Oh, and this is the first time I noticed they aren't using color-coded weapons. Good on ya, Nick. That always really bugged me in the 4Kids series.

Just saw the Kraang clip as well. Loved the whole thing. Although, I think I saw someone commenting earlier on how hackneyed Mike's "raise-finger-and-faint" bit is? I agree, although that is the nit-pickiest of nit-picky complaints, and whatever; children's cartoon tropes I can live with.

Overall, I'm more excited for this cartoon than I was a day ago, so I guess the clips did their job.

I loved everythingI saw in it, not sure if I like the new Rat King, though. But after what I've just seen they might be able to pull it off.

The producer of this has worked on almost all of my favorite cartoon series to date, Batman TAS, Animaniacs, FREAKAZOID. I immediately started clapping after hearing that, even though I was watching this alone.

Just watched the panel video ... it was great!
I was kind of embarrassed on behalf of the people in the audience who kept overreacting, though ... shrieking at every little thing. After one of the clips there was lots of booing and I thought, "how freaking rude!" but then I realised it was panel who was booing and felt stupid. :lol:

Just watched the Comic Con panel and honestly, I couldn't be happier. I feel like like I'm seven years old again!

As many of you know I came to this forum a decade ago (Has it been that long? Holy three headed carp!) as a sixteen year old kid who had rediscovered the Turtles and his subsequent love for them. I loved the OT and Archie Universes. The characters, stories and world building that was created was amazing. So, when the 2K3 cartoon came along and had none of that I wasn't thrilled and secretly dreamed of doing my own cartoon some day that would be a mix of everything that preceded it plus new content. When I watched Ciro Nieli talk, it was like someone reached into my brain and turned my thoughts into a show. I'm still just racing in my head. I really have no other words, just excitement.

Now, just a few other thoughts.

The first thing I loved is the respect Neieli has for the entire ethos. I may have not liked 2K3 but each incarnation had someone wonderful from it and he seems to be cherry picking.

As much as I want to see old characters, I really hope the show does it's own thing and thankfully it seems to be doing just that. I welcome and look forward to new mutants, aliens and others. I'm really looking forward to this world that Neili has created. I'm excited to see Dogpound, Fishface and Snakeweed.

Love the new theme song. LOOOOOVE!

The return of characters such as Metal Head and General Tragg. And if I can hope and pray, the eventual return of the Punk Frogs, Mondo Gecko, Ace Duck, Bebop & Rocksteady and Muckman. There are others but that was just off the top of my head.

I honestly can't believe I'm this excited about a property from my childhood. I feel like there's something wrong with me.

woah!rat king creeps me out!;)...great to see that they dare to go into such dark and twisted designs with this show..I think when they don't shy away from giving a shw many different directions like such then the show has more potential to get succesfull...
on a related note:the rat king here for some reason does remind me of the design for the scare crow in the last two seasons from batman the animated series..

That's a very different take on the Rat King. I'll be interested to see what they do with him, story-wise. He's definitely one of the more enigmatic characters in all previous incarnations (although he was given a bit of a back story in the 2k3 show, via Bishop).
