Just doesn't seem fair, man.
As big a Turtle fan as I am, I just couldn't justify any TMNT character winning any of those matchups? Captain America is probably the weakest of the Big Four Avengers and even Leonardo would be a long shot at winning that one.

April and Casey MAY be able to take Hawkeye and Widow...but in all the others those Marvel boys don't cut 'em no slack.

Even then... not a chance. The Black Widow is what "action-girl (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FauxActionGirl)" incarnations of April hope to be on her best day. And Casey Jones may have skill as a brawler, but Hawkeye would pick him apart from a distance.

Yeah... the TMNT are basically... just ninjas. As in... pretty much human ninjas...with shells. They have absolutely no super powers. Captain American could take them all down.

Well to be fair, despite TMNT not having "super powers," they've almost always been displayed with superhuman levels of strength and agility (like most fictional ninja heroes.)

Leonardo could maybe take Captain America. If it was Leonardo's best day and the Cap's worst day. Any of the other three Avengers could take all four turtles by themselves

As awesome as the Turtles are they would not stand a snowballs chance in hell against the Avengers, Thor is literally a god Ironman is a living weapon, the Incredible Hulk is neigh invulnerable and the angrier he gets the more dangerous he is.

All VS matches are ultimately stupid and pointless. Anyone can beat anyone it all depends on who writes the story. Batman time and time again humiliates god level characters that should be able to kill him with a fart because that's how people write him now. I'm sure someone could contrive a storyline where the turtles stomp the Avengers, probably by making Don smarter then Tony Stark and Banner somehow and having him hack Ironman or something to keep Hulk distracted. Or hell he could take control of Hulk and use him to kick all the Avenger's asses. See it doesn't take much to make up BS.

TMNT would never win. The avengers all have superpowers, and the turtles only have their weapons and ninja skills. Maybe they could dodge them with their speed and whatnot, but while fighting, the turtles wouldn't stand a chance.
I can see don building a suit or something to combat iron man.
Shortest fight in history. Iron Man would take out the whole team, the entire Foot Clan and every Shredder in the multiverse. ;)
Here are some more likely and cooler TMNT / Marvel matchups:
Raphael / Wolverine - two bad ass fighters with approximate weapons and attitudes
Leo / Elektra - two trained ninja both in skill and spirit
Donatello / Daredevil - two staff fighters, agile and both calculating personalities
Michaelangelo / Spider-Man - two wisecrackers, each agile and energetic and skilled with swingin' things around

Agreed, it's all about who the writer of the story is. "Realistically", Batman should have been shot by a lucky punk a while back.
The Ninja Turtles would be underdogs, but I could see a turtle outwitting Hulk and being able to outmaneuver him. The hardest to write would be a turtle beating Iron Man, unless we were talking 80's toon Donatello with all his inventions.
I totally forgot about Thor. That makes it even harder then, unless Splinter is able to conjure up something mystic to weaken Thor.

When I think of cage match I think of a UFC match. How would the Turtles fare against the likes of Anderson Silva, Machida, Jon Jones, St. Pierre, etc..

I'd imagine pretty well, seeing as the turtles are martial artists, and also have shells to provide some protection.

Well, Captain America isn't exactly superpowered. He's in peak-human condition. The turtles have taken out worse than him, though the shield could be an issue. I'm gonna say Leo could do it. Maybe.

They don't have to get in. Our running joke had He-Man riding Battlecat around the out perimeter of the Death Star, swinging his sword in circles around his head before being vaporized by some random cannon.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man lands on the outside window of the Emperor's throne room, sticking there while looking in. The Emperor swivels around in his chair and makes that weirdo groaning sound thing that he does, sort of gestures his hand in a slow swatting move and Spider-Man goes -splat-against the outside of the window.
Yes, outrageous conversations like these are how we spent many a night out back in the day....
