Hmm..time to show my Turtle Fanarts. Sadly I only have two so far.

Used the Reference from the Comic, since I love that Pose and tried to draw it, mixed in a bit of my Style.
Should I draw the Others as well? In own Poses of course. Used this only to practise.

The Character in the Background is mine, I'll call him Switchback a Liopleurodon.Don't ask, I just came randomly up with him.

Please ignore the Turtle on the right. He is just completly random and is supposed to be funny (which he is probably not), the one in the middle..from one of my favourite OT Episodes and that on the left..hmm..another random sketch. I felt like trying out a fighting Pose..but I'm not so happy with it yet.

Constructive critism is always welcomed by the way.

I really like your style! The one in the middle is great :)
As for the fighting pose it's definitely got movement which is good but you see where the feet are? The angles need a little work, it's not quite a natural pose but I know you can do it, you've got skills :tgrin: If i'm doing something tricky I try to replicate the pose in the mirror to study it...yes I do look ridiculous but it helps.

Now watching this as an adult, I do find it interesting how much you can change the very same Cartoon, from cute-funny-and-action to serious-dark-and-more-action(?). It's a bit like the Turtles grew up (literally since they are taller..or is that only my imagination?) and I do enjoy it.
Still..back as a kid I remember how much I wondered about the new style and was confused why everybody was suddenly so angry and aggressive xD
But I do have the Feeling like Raphael and Donatello got a bit more aggressive, Leo got even more serious, Mikey is still Mikey, the Jokes and -slight- 4th Wall breaking is also still there, but goes under with all the seriousness..the Titlesong on the other hand is quite good.

To make long Explanations short:I love the whole Cartoon, with all Seasons..but I think I still prefer the first seven |D The old style is also more fun to draw(even so here I messed up his right eye). The Red-Sky-Style..is.. :I

By the way..Mikey is the only one who didn't get his own Picture. Going to change that soon x3

This was only a sketch..but then turned into a complete picture.

The earlier versions of Raphael and Mona Lisa seemed like a more "cartoony" version of the OT seasons 1-7, but the most recent one is more like a "Red Sky" depiction of Raphael and Mona Lisa. It's great work Red-eyed Jaguar!

It's an interesting image because it makes me wonder if Mona Lisa had been implemented during those Red Sky Seasons. To carry that idea, it would have intriguing if somehow Lotus Blossom and Kala (the Neutrino girl) were included in the Red Sky seasons too and how their characterization would change.

The angled faces and burnt red sky was completely unnecessary, the plots itself could carry the seriousness. I'm glad the ninja action was back, but the character interaction within the Turtles was discarded and I felt lost the original charm of the show because it didn't show their lives "outside of the ninja action" that made us grow attached to their personalities. (In fact, they NEVER ate pizza those 3 years! No wonder the Turtles looked so angry all the time! LOL :lol:)

The Red Sky episodes had transformed "4 individual Turtles in a Team" to a "Group of Just 4 Turtles". :ohwell:

The first picture, that scene in the comic is the tattoo I would want to get. Not colored and straight from it lacking the city background just like the picture you made. I would love it if I could get Peter Laird to somehow autograph tattoo it as well. A guy can always dream.

Yes I agree. In fact, Season 8 wasn't that bad.
Thinking about it, there were some scenes which looked..'cut off', almost like they planned something else.For example when Bebop (I think it was him) pin Leo down on the machinery and was about to be smashed by the cogwheel,Shredder looked kind of...worried?!

I also wonder how much Time lies between Season 7 and 8. From the way they talk, could be only a few Days, but with all those changes, could be Months as well. |D
And that's true again.All we say was "Let's get out and kick some evil Guys", The Humans went all "The Turtles are so bad"..
Season 9 was the worst in my Opinion, never understood what the Point was of this Carter being there.He annoyed me.

Awwh, these are really lovely pictures. So much fun to see the 80's style, especially since a lot of the TMNT fan art I've come across is usually in the 2k3 and 2k12 show styles. Also, I dig the colors! They have a nice cartoon/animation cel feel to them. =>

Remember that scene in Season 8, Episode 3, where the Turtles contact April to ask her about this Dark Water company?
Michelangelo wonders where she got such Top Secret Information from, she explains she knows it, because she dated one of them in the Past and right at that Moment the screen shows us Donatello, making a sad/disappointed(?) Face. I don't know why, but thought it as so odd. Why not show Leo who is talking to her?

Weren't there only like..two scenes about that? You could almost say, it was a April/Don/Irma-Thing xD" Probably because he was the only one without a potential 'Girlfriend',so they handled it that way. I don't take it serious, it only amuses me xD

And his Background-Story. Perhaps it needs some overwork..but fornow I leave it as it is. Don't worry..you can tell me your honest opinions about it xD
Switchback came into be, thanks to a crazy Scientist (<--it's always them, isn't it? ), who was possessed of the Thought of bringing Dinosaurs back to Life (<--no, not Jurassic Park, I got that Idea,since there are Scientist in real Life who trying this crazy stuff <.< ).Of course he was never thinking of making one of them Human-like, that would have been -even for him- to absurd. However, he changed his Mind after he saw those mutated Turtles in the News. Faszinated by them, he followed their actions on TV, until a new, probably even more crazy Thought crossed his Mind: Using one of those Dinosaur-DNAs to create an even stronger Mutant, who would these wannabe-Heroes. But he was very alone with that Idea. Even his few fellow Scientists turned their Back on him. Angered by that, he still kept researching on his Project...with Zero success. Almost giving up on this, he found one Night a small test-tube filled with an unknown liquid Substance. Wondering about who or why someone left this in his Labor, his curiosity grew and he injected some of it in an fossil Dinosaur-Egg. Not getting the wished Result, he threw the Rest of the Substance with was left in the test-tube against a Wall, getting a few drippings of it on himself.

After not hearing anything frome their former colleague, his old scientific friends got worried and searched for him in his Lab. But all they found was Chaos. On the Floor, well wrapped-up in a tattered coat, a small Dinosauregg...but no Sign from their colleague...

Nice, but one thing, Leo's skin tone is wrong, it's normal green, that's too light, still a great picture.

Well,I toned his Skin-colour now a bit darker. Still go with the blue-green, because..I don't know, it looks a bit 'blueish' to me.

Got lazy with his Bo..
But I finally remembered why I like him so much!..come on..I was Three back there, it took some Time to remember xD"
It's so simple..he invented so many cool and awesome machines (while 80% of them blew up in the End of the Episode)and he had a funny,yet cute..(and annoying a bit |D) way to talk in the german Version..always tended to repeat small parts of the Sentences he just spoke.
Err..the 2012 Version..I like him there a lot too, especialyl when he's all himself..without the whole April-Thing. By the Way, mentioning this, I noticed some 'hints' in the OT Episode from Season 5..that, if you want them to be hints at all. But being my weird and silly self, I thought to myself 'Yes, you Two can have fun together, AFTER the Episode..I want to know how this Story ends first ' (Please don't take that too serious.it's just my way of Humour |D" )
