In case u missed it Nick did a brainy vs. brainless poll between the 2 and the winner/loser was actually neither, it was a tie. So ?I guess Nick also thinks they are equally brainless :tlol:

Agreed! I could kind of understand IF it was 2003's Mikey but it was not. I'd like to see Micheangelo portrayed with an average intellect not for evey IQ point Don has over the first deviation Mike has under.

When I think of who the dumbest person in TV Land is Patrick Starr comes to mind. The only person who might contend with him is Hank Kimball. Those two in an I.Q. test would be interesting not Michelangelo!

ummm.... none of things Mikey does in that clip are actually dumb. Why would you expect someone who lives in a sewer to be able to pronounce the word "pizza"? Why would you expect them to be able to spell the word "wrong" for that matter (logically, if you'd never seen it written down, you would expect it to be R-O-N-G)? Annoying enough that fans are saying Mikey is "dumb" because they haven't actually thought this stuff through, worse still that Nick is saying it.

(lots of parents of dyslexic kids out there who I imagine are THRILLED that not being able to spell/pronounce a couple of words makes someone "the dumb one")

You're reading too much into it (or trying too hard to defend it). Nick (the channel, not the actual people working on the show, or at least I hope not) flat out considers Mikey to be dumb. Tell me, why wasn't it Leo or Raph VS Patrick? Or hell, why did they even choose Patrick and not anyone else? They could have gone with Mike VS (insert whoever here) as who's the wildest, or who's the coolest. Nope, they went with who's the most braindead. It's plain as day and not worth disputing it or trying to re-word things to defend Mikey.

Wouldn't bother. I always got the impression that adverts like this are thrown together by whoever works in a marketing department at the channel. It has very little to do with what actually happens in the show.

Well that second clip of Mikey was actually edited out of the show and I wouldn't be surprised if it was edited out because they didn't actually want to suggest that Mikey was just plain stupid. As for the other two, they have nothing to do with stupidity whatsoever. The first one is "I've never seen that word written down before" and the third one is an expression of annoyance.

So I actually don't give a damn about "this makes Mikey seem stupid" because it doesn't. It makes Nick look inept.

Why is it not apparent? Because Mikey (although sometimes stupid) has proved himself a few times. I mean, he didn't tell Chris Bradford about Splinter and the lair. Plus, that conversation he had with Leatherhead: he sounded like he was well spoken.
