I don't think Elizabeth Olsen was a bad choice given that the movie Martha Marcy May Marlene is generally well liked, does some good acting, and with some red hair dye/wig and her face can make a good April. The Olsen name will also generate some buzz to bring in more tickets.

I like the idea of him playing Baxter Stockman. It fits his character range perfectly for what Baxter needs to be.


As for Lizzie Olsen, I know she has done a couple of cult films in the last couple of years and don't really know her as an actor so I am open for the twins little sister being April. I just remember her as a four year old in an Olsen twins music video. Who would have thought that then 4 year old would be April O'Neil(maybe) one day? :trazz:

Elizabeth Olsen is a good actress. I saw her in a movie called Silent House, which had a cool concept, but turned out to be very so so. But she carried that film, and her performance really made it worth watching. Plus. she's also very attractive.

I don't care who they cast as April. I don't even care if they're an over-emphasis on aliens or alien origins. Either way they could make it work.

It's important to note that the wording of the linked article, and the Variety article it sourced, is past tense. Who knows when she was actually in the running? That could've been back with the alien script. This could mean absolutely nothing.

That being said, if it was recent, since the last big script revision, it could give us an idea of how old of an April they're looking for...

But still, it could mean nothing at all.

Am I the only person who really doesn't care either way who's who? I have no real ideal list of people I'd want to see involved, I just want actors who will do a good job and aren't just there to be eye candy like Meghan Fox. So long as Olsen can act good, she's fine with me. It's whatever though~
