Oh man, sounds awesome. Someone should create a recipe thread in the everything else section because the home made stuff you guys come up with sounds delicious. Home made Easter candy certainly sounds better than paying a tun of money for it at stores. Well, I doubt anyone could duplicate those Cadbury candy coated mini eggs, but that'd probably be the only candy I'd buy this year. Can't resist those!

Damn, I wish we had a Sonic around here. The best we can do is go to Lafayette and eat at the Sonic there, which we're planning to do when I go to my eye appointment. We always stop in Lafayette first and stay over then go to Indy the next day so it doesn't take us that long to get there. If we did it all in one day it would take us two hours to get there, and it's easier for us to stay in Lafayette first.

Was just at a mall and had a sample of one of Great American Cookies' cheesecake brownies! God, I've loved those ever since I was a kid. You know how most people want birthday cakes on said birthdays? Well, I call up Great American and order a tray of those cheesecake brownies about a day or so in advance. I don't let anyone pay for them because I think it's a little too much for someone to spend on a cake, but I always share of course. You can put them in these tupperware containers, refrigerate them, and they're still great around 4 or so days later if you have any left. So now I'm sad because I have to wait for my birthday to eat more of them! haha July always takes forever to get here. Great American also has awesome cookie cakes and just about anything great in the way of chocolate chip. Their double fudge chocolate chip cookies are amazing but I'm not sure if they still make these.

There's this joint in Memphis where my parents are living now called Fresh Market while we're on the subject of baked goodies. They make this cake that goes by the name of Chocolate Decadence. Haven't had that in around 3 or so years, but have been craving that lately. The only thing sweet I've been eating these days is one of those peanut butter chocolate chip granola bars every morning. Have no idea why, but I've dreamed of cake or something chocolate for the past several nights.

Well it'll probably be chicken depending on how expensive the turkey turns out to be. My fiancé and I have never cooked a whole turkey before, but feel that we need to get around to that. Guess we'll settle for turkey breasts until then.

Had a red berry granola bar for breakfast. I plan on making chicken and dressing for supper since we just got fresh chicken breasts at our HEB. We didn't go shopping last weekend because my partner in crime was suffering from major allergies due to all the pollen, so this weekend we're doing a belated Easter dinner.

And get this, my sweetie's dad didn't want ham this Easter! He wants steak this year. How cool is that?! I think we're going over there some time soon. Man, that dude can cook. He works wonders with a grill, oven, stove, you name it. I don't like ham, but even his isn't half bad. My future sister-in-law is wanting to become a chef, and I gotta say, she's got his flare for cooking. We can't wait to catch up with her and see what she's been working on.

Oh buddy, you ain't kidding. I think I like my mom's meatloaf the best. My other half really enjoys that too. So how do you like your meatloaf? Some people like it swimming in ketchup, like my dad. I use Contadina tomato sauce in mine with ketchup on the side in case people prefer adding it to their individual servings. Some people use actual bread in their meatloaves. I've tried it with that and saltine crackers and can't really tell the difference. I crumble up my crackers to the point where they're too fine to crunch.

Sounds good, Icebot. The strawberries they have around here suck. There was one basket I bought last summer. I could smell them from a few feet away at the store and I just knew they were going to rule. Sometimes my family puts sugar on them, but those didn't need any at all. God, those were the best strawberries I've ever eaten. They're okay this year, but nothing to write home about.

Pancakes sound very good to me this morning. Better half says she's afraid to make them because she's never done it before and she doesn't want to mess up. Doesn't sound too difficult. I've really surprised myself and others with cooking skills unbeknownst to me over the past 3 or so years, so I guess I'll have to be the daring and adventurous one. Although Ihop is around 10 mins from the house and I'm very tempted to just treat her to that this weekend. Meh, better to save that dough for Summer movie-going, I guess.

I had some pizza last evening. Not bad, but I wish it had been Pizza Hut rather than a frozen one. Tacos are really sounding excellent thanks to Duckies post. haha Had my usual granola bar for breakfast. Nothing special. Not sure what I'm going to pop in the oven for dinner yet, but it'll be home made. I know that much. I hate frozen pizzas so much. They just taste so bland and disgusting. I much prefer to either make a pizza or get a fresh pizza.

First time I tried it, I thought:
"Almost like a Pizza from a restaurant! Soooooo yummy :D"
My favorite is "Spinaci"

Headbands: I actually used to hate frozen pizza. I think I've gotten so desperate for pizza lately that I started enjoying it. Especially since I'm trying to save up cash so my better half and I can make it to Disney World. Given the choice between frozen and pizza from a restaurant, I'd pick restaurant pizza any time. I think I enjoy the frozen stuff due to the extra cheese I add before throwing it in the oven. But hoping I'll be able to order out this next weekend.

Kanon, my better half was visiting Germany for a bit a few summers ago and will mention this frozen pizza she tried there. I'm wondering if this one is it. I agree with you. Frozen pizza tastes so much better when its flavor is similar to pizza found in restaurants. There aren't that many store bought pizzas out there that can come close, so definitely treasure those that manage to make you sit up and take notice. The only frozen pizza I've been able to enjoy over here in the states is one called Red Baron. I've tried a tun of others but I think this one is about as close as I'm going to get unless I choose to order out. There are probably many more I haven't tried yet, but RB is good enough for me for the time being. My dad says I need to try a brand called DiGiorno's, so might as well give that one a whirl one of these days.

Speaking of Pizza, I just had some pizza Gyoza a while ago.

Well, it's not quite pizza gyoza, but same concept (only difference is it's not dumpling, but it's still stuffed with Pizza ingrediants)

As for frozen pizza, I love it. DiGiorno is good, BT, so you should definitely try it. I also like Home Run Inn and Jack's Pizza as well as Tony's. There was another brand called Freschetta that I also was fond of, though it was a bit too garlicy so we didn't have it that much.

Been thinking about McD's all week, Bubbly. People can say what they will about the McNuggets, but they were the first chicken nuggets I ever tried and I still like them.

Sometimes I'll eat a few tick tacks as well. Not sure if they're still out, but they had these amazing strawberry ones last year. Just had some of my homemade gluten-free banana and coconut-milk muffins. I made these to get rid of the last banana that had gone overripe and a can of coconut milk that I had bought on a whim. These turned out very good, but boy are they rich!

Most of the muffins will have to be frozen since they are so rich, so I'll have these for a while. I guess it didn't help that I also used virgin coconut oil for the oil ingredient, which really made them super-rich :lol:

Yes, there is everything wrong with it. I am not comfortable in an establishment that doesn't feel I deserve the same rights as straight people. On the inside we're all the same. The company gave money to organizations that were against LGBT rights. In turn, I will never give them my money again, even if they cleaned up their act, and I will always suggest others do the same. I am a human being just like everyone else, and I will be treated as such.

On topic, currently eating fritos and bean dip with mountain dew.

If I start drinking soda again, it's either going to be diet or 0. Soda is a pretty rare thing for me these days, so I really enjoy it when I choose to have it. Actually had regular Dr. Pepper with Pizza Hut this evening. That stuff tastes super sweet after not having it for a while.

I caved and did Pizza Hut this evening. Very tasty. I tried waiting until Sunday but couldn't do it. My better half wanted ham and pineapple, so we did half and half. They have cupcakes at PH now but we always pass on those. Speaking of which, I've been tempted to make them lately. Haven't had anything cake in ages. Summer is also a great time for homemade ice cream, so that's another possibility.

Traitor..... Kidding. I get sick of those darn McMuffins, myself, because we are limited on our choices for our employee meals, and it's one of the few things we can get that I actually can choke down. (They won't let us have the chicken biscuit anymore, darn it.) Since I come in so early, my break always falls during breakfast hours, so I'm always stuck with the breakfast menu items.

Currently eating: a Totinos frozen pizza! I try to make Sunday my pizza day, so if I get to watch TMNT, I can have pizza while I watch it. Today's ep was awesome!

pancakes sound great. Had hamburgers last night and will probably do baked chicken this evening. I'll probably dunk the chicken breasts in milk and egg, then roll them around in some of those Progresso bread crumbs to fool my taste buds into thinking it's fried. They're actually pretty awesome. Thinking about going to Walmart and getting some of those Frozfruit bars. Strawberry rocks. They make a pretty great dessert.
