I had a serving sized portion of oreos a few minutes before writing this. 3 sandwich cookies. That's six if you split them in half. I think I'm probably the only one who does that. You can trick yourself into thinking you're eating more. And for the record, I don't like the double-stuffed oreos! Who came up with that idea? I tried one about a week ago and man, that's allot of icing! I just disposed of it since you can pull it right off the cookie like icing off one of those sheet cakes. Give a kid one of those and he or she will develop the Flash's super speed. I don't mean to sound like Bill Shatner but,"The... icing... is just... too rich." Wonder what Martian Manhunter would think of double-stuffed oreos since this little Nabisco treat seems to be his favorite dessert.

lol Becca and I were reading about that yesterday! Small world. Yes, I'm an oreo addict and proud of it. With her it's chicken in a biscuit which she is having a hard time finding lately because tuns of parents buy them for the kids to take to school around here during snack time. Snack time is mandatory, even if the students are in 4th or 5th grade these days. They get it at like 10 a.m. and then go to lunch in about an hour and a half after that. When I was a kid, you snacked when you got home! haha

I made a huge pot of home made vegetable beef soup last evening. I put two cans of carrots, two cans of peas, two of green beans, and two of corn in there with about 12 potatoes and 3 pounds of hamburger and 2 cans of Hunts tomato sauce. It's something my grandma would throw together when the weather cooled off. Of course you have to boil your potatoes and brown your meat but other than that, you just open some cans and dump it all in this gigantic soup pot. It usually lasts us for about 3 or 4 days. Very cheap eats but very good. That is, if you have it for lunch and supper. I'm seriously considering having some for lunch. So that's what we're currently eating.

BK! We only have one in our town. It's not too close to us so I really enjoy it when I get the chance. I think I've had it like once in the last 3 years since I moved here. Their burgers are so much better than McD's or Wendy's. I mean, I like the other places just fine but nothing beats flame broiled. I've been making my own burgers on our Forman grill here at home in order to save allot of cash but given the choice, I'd go with BK any day.

But we're not letting it go to waste, even if it's not exactly "Master chef" quality. Somehow, I don't think even Gordon Ramsey could fix this one....

Oh God please don't tell Ronald that I like BK better! He's a clown and it's almost Halloween, thus my fear of clowns is increased slightly this time of year. I keep expecting him to be peaking out of the bathroom drain and saying,"We all float down here at McDonald's! You will too!" Reading IT probably has something to do with that. But in all seriousness, love the fries and McNuggets. The quarter pounders are also good. I think the best McD's we have is in our local Walmart where everything you order is always hot and fresh. Tempted to eat there this weekend, matter of fact. I just hope Ronald doesn't show up... with balloons.

Assuming your sauce has tomatoes/onions/garlic in it, try adding a teaspoon of this (http://cdn.approvedfood.co.uk/thumbs/50/1000/1000/1/src_images/Vegeta_Food_Seasoning_250g.jpg), a teaspoon of sugar, a few tablespoons of olive oil, and simmering it for at least half an hour. Sacrilege, probably, but it works!

Me too. They're saying we're going to be iced in this weekend in my little neck of Tx so I sorta kinda made 3 pounds of the stuff by tripling a recipe on the back of one of the McCormick's mixes. My fiancé really likes it but the Contadina tomato sauce I added tastes a little sweet to me. However, I've been categorized as a super taster. Think I'll try Red Gold sauce next time as I'm used to that one. Meh, she says I'm my own worst critic. As for the currently eating in my neck of the woods, had toast today and that's about it. But I plan on making tater tot casserole this evening. Nothin much to that. You brown some meat, then put a can of cream of mushroom soup on top of that. Then shredded cheese-- we prefer Colby-Jack. You put your tots on top of all of that, then bake it at about 375 for about an hour. I usually turn my oven up to about 425 for the last 15 mins or so to insure crispy tots. Ain't bad.

Whenever I hear of or eat cheese pizza, I think of Home Alone 1 and 2. haha That sounds really good. We plan on ordering Pizza Hut on Superbowl Sunday. We're not really into sports, so we won't watch the game. It's just a plausible reason to order pizza, I guess.

As for currently eating, I think I'll nuke a saucage biscuit. Tonight I plan on baking porkloins. I run them through egg, then milk, then some progresso bread crums. They go in the oven at 350 for half an hour, then at 375 for about 35 more minutes. Easy to make. They're rather expensive so I don't buy them that much. They're a rare treat.

Their hot chocolate is awesome. I've had a little of their coffee but I think I'm a bit of a wuss because it always tastes a little too strong to me. haha I like their chocolate chip cookies too. Or is it M&M'S? Been a while since I had them. They've also got a really great java chip frap. I get that one with a milk base though. I do have morning coffee, but I put in around half a filter's worth of grounds. Doesn't taste as strong as the SB stuff. Maybe I'll work myself up to that some day.

I've been craving those things all week. That or Chick Fil-A. The only good McDonald's in our town is at a Walmart where they have to make everything hot and fresh as you order. Well I'm guessing they're under the watchful eyes of someone important because the food is excellent every time. Most of the drive-throughs just give the stuff to you warmed over around here, seems like. Next time I go to Wally World, that'll be the perfect excuse to raid McD's.

As for the future tense, guess we're doing left over tacos tonight. We use those Taco Bell kits. Good stuff.

I always get giftcards from grandma every Christmas, so rather than slaving over a hot stove this evening, it's Cracker Barrel for us. I know this is probably classified as kids' food but I really enjoy their chicken tenders. So it'll be that and a double side of fries because I just see no sense at all in ordering fries and fried okra, or fries and mashed potatoes, or fries and mack and cheese, or fries and corn etc. Typed okra so fast that I almost posted this with the r in the wrong place so my screen reader ended up pronouncing it fried orca. Yeah, they'd so shut Cracker Barel down if they ended up serving fried Willy. Yikes!

Whenever I hear of or eat cheese pizza, I think of Home Alone 1 and 2. haha That sounds really good. We plan on ordering Pizza Hut on Superbowl Sunday. We're not really into sports, so we won't watch the game. It's just a plausible reason to order pizza, I guess.

As for currently eating, I think I'll nuke a saucage biscuit. Tonight I plan on baking porkloins. I run them through egg, then milk, then some progresso bread crums. They go in the oven at 350 for half an hour, then at 375 for about 35 more minutes. Easy to make. They're rather expensive so I don't buy them that much. They're a rare treat.

Those movies were hilarious, especially when Kevin mimicked that ganster from the Angels with Filthy Souls movies.

You might have just gotten a bad packet. Happens from time to time. I can remember getting down to the last packet of hot chocolate in a box only to realize that it got sealed with no powder inside! I'll be making spaghetti and garlic bread this evening. Should probably let my sauce simmer for about an hour. Tastes better if you let your meat marinate. We also want to try out our new crockpot this weekend so I might be making a roast with carots and potatoes. Hope it goes well. I'd like to add yet another meal to my,"I know how to make that," list lol. If it gets extremely cold, I'll be making home made vegetable beef soup. The potato pealing bores me to tears, however. Really hate pealing potatoes even with my rotato which basically peals the whole thing for the user sans the ends.

I know those nuggets from McD's are probably not actual meat at all but I still love those things. You have to venture to the local Walmart's McDonald's if you want them fresh and hot around here. The folks who work at all the drivethroughs, in this town anyway, just seem to warm leftovers up and throw them at ya. Not sure why, but the food is always fresh and piping hot at the ones in Wally World.

Well, we normally use Jimmy Dean Maple sausage, but we had to use sausage links this time because they didn't have the Maple Sausage when we looked for it.

I have to make those on my George Forman but they're still fantastic. I just slap a slice of chese inbetween two pieces of bread and let her go for around 7 mins. lol The bread has grooves on both sides due to the grill but the design looks neat. Never liked grilled cheese when I was a kid but really enjoy them now.
