Hey folks, I was the crazy person who bought Kevin Eastman's TCRI ooze canister on eBay! I wanted to share some photos with other Turtle fans out there. I thought it would also be fun to compare Kevin's canister with a background TGRI canister that I have from Secret of the Ooze. (The TMNT II canister was authenticated by the film's propmaster. The TGRI lettering unfortunately came off and disappeared over the years, but if you squint, you can still see where the letters once were (http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2847/8900428261_c381c65460_o.jpg).)
A few notes:
-The TCRI canister is slightly shorter but much more substantial than the TGRI canister due to its all aluminium metal material (the TGRI one is made of PVC and therefore has developed some cracks from set use).
-It appears that the TCRI vinyl lettering was originally dark burgundy before being colored black.
-At one point they must have been experimenting with different font styles, as the "R" on one side of the TCRI canister has an extra piece of vinyl tape over it.
