TCRI & TGRI Ooze Canister Original Movie Props (Picture Heavy!)

Hey folks, I was the crazy person who bought Kevin Eastman's TCRI ooze canister on eBay! I wanted to share some photos with other Turtle fans out there. I thought it would also be fun to compare Kevin's canister with a background TGRI canister that I have from Secret of the Ooze. (The TMNT II canister was authenticated by the film's propmaster. The TGRI lettering unfortunately came off and disappeared over the years, but if you squint, you can still see where the letters once were.)

A few notes:
-The TCRI canister is slightly shorter but much more substantial than the TGRI canister due to its all aluminium metal material (the TGRI one is made of PVC and therefore has developed some cracks from set use).
-It appears that the TCRI vinyl lettering was originally dark burgundy before being colored black.
-At one point they must have been experimenting with different font styles, as the "R" on one side of the TCRI canister has an extra piece of vinyl tape over it.

You can see much larger versions of these photos and a few additional shots on my Flickr (I went over the picture limit here):

I'm suddenly dying for a pizza for lunch. Too bad I'm broke now!

you have the coolest damn avatar i've ever seen. do you have a larger version? ...and welcome to prop collecting.

mike- your shots actually answered one of the questions that i mentioned the other night. my aluminum canister also has the "2" in the black square. i thought they might have been clever and included the "design number" in the design. ie- "mr. barron, here's canister design 1... canister design 2... etc." it was a rather oddball theory, now that i think about it.

LOVE the shots! i also didn't notice the black stripe underneath the left endcap. aside from that, the other black stripe, and the "WARNING" callout, ours have basically the same design.

congrats again on the score!

...on a side note, i've NEVER noticed that you can see the end-cap detailing on this shot... very cool!!!

Cool photos! Thanks for sharing - it's fun seeing close ups like these of the original props.
