This seems plausible, though it'd be interesting to see if there are some coincidental parallels between IDW and this scenario. Imagine the order being given to Slash and Raph to finish him and we get a brief show of Donnie being downed and Slash raising his mace to finish him.
I'd expect someone to rescue him last minute and force them to withdraw so they dont get the chance to finish the job.
It would be really interesting if it was April using her fan to knock the mace away and stand between them in that example though. I'd love to see an evil Raph taunt her about the whole Apritello thing; just telling her to run away home with her boyfriend (implied Casey) and leave the mutant (Don) to them.

Well if they did go as far as having or alluding to a issue #44 thing you'd see Donnie trying to hold his own while facing off against Raph, all the while telling his brother to snap out of it...that Shredder is controlling him. But he is eventually downed and the last shot we see is Slash raising his Morning Star.

And since its a kids network it can pan or shift to just outside the room so the most we hear is either Donatello screaming in pain or just the smashing sound as its brought down. Or Slashes shadow bring down the mace.

But one thing is for sure Donnie's back won't be broken in half to the point where he's bleeding out all over the floor.

As the show tends to keep the Big Dramatic moments for the end of a set of episodes Dark Raph would be last episode this go round. I don't think Mikey would be complaining about being bored if Raph was with the enemy.

And it's said earlier that 13 episodes will be held at the farm house. I had been pointing out 13 doesn't need to be 13 straight up to all the people who were complaining about it being 13 episodes of filler.

So far we have had 8 full eps at the farm house. Return to New York also can count as that would be when they are leaving the Farm House itself. So that leaves roughly 4 episodes left. Those episodes the Turtles don't have to be physically going to the farm house, in at least one of them April, Casey, and Mikey can offer memories of those three months that they had been spending there to Leo and Splinter.

And then if they need to return to the farm house it would be for a final battle with the Shredder after the lair had been invaded by the Foot Clan.

I'm so glad people like that idea. Frankly, I was expecting people to shoot down that plot right off the bat, especially considering it's been done before in shows like Charmed and Smallville.

I think they could use some refrerences from the Tales of TMNT comic books; the turtles has been through hard situatins too.(that's what I heard)
Here's a example:

A werewolf turtle? How much wicked is that?!
If I could pick, I'll say that it would happen to Mikey; making him had a sudden but sort time change of attitude. More loner, agressive... Just like when Beast Bot got mutated into a wild savage monster, remember?

Haven't really read the comics yet but there's also that 1 mirage issue where raph got bit by a vampire(or at least I think its mirage)

Watching the promo, I see Leo is alone confronting Dark Raph and I am wondering where Mikey and Donnie are because It does look like this is foreshadowing from the episode The Legend of the Kuro Kabuto where Leo had to leave Donnie, Mikey and Raph behind so he could trade Shredder's Kabuto for Karai because they were trapped under the billboard.

So I do have a few idea's where Mikey and Donnie could be.

They are fighting (maybe with Leatherhead and Pete) Fishface and Rahzar (or someone else) somewhere and they will arrive at the last minute to help Leo and escape. (I'm betting this one)

They've been captured and locked in a cell in Shredder's lair.

One of them is injured and the other one is looking after him.

That'd be interesting and it werewolves arent really a horror trope they've done much with beyond Rahzar -who is always billed as Mikey's primary rival. Might be nice to have another Rahzar/Mikey ep with Mikey being challenged with darker emotions (perhaps a more vengeful side if he believes Rahzar was responsible for Raph)

I'm so glad people like that idea. Frankly, I was expecting people to shoot down that plot right off the bat, especially considering it's been done before in shows like Charmed and Smallville.

Done before doesnt necessarily stop it from working -just so long as it fits the characters and a new spin is put on it. Adding in Rat King as the arch manipulator works very well with that scenario I think.

really? I watched Charmed when they were showing reruns on tv, but never really sat down and watched every single episode. I think I might have missed this one! Do you remember which charmed episode it's form? I want to watch it!

It was so long ago, I don't recall too well. I know it happened some time after Rose MacGowan replaced Shannen Doherty, but before Leo and Piper started having kids. I'll do some research and get back to ya.

An alternate reality with the voice actors names? Sign me up, that'd be a fun little episode.

Anyways, I do have another idea: Taping more into the character of the Shredder. As I continue to work on my fanfiction, I've wondered if something set Shredder off the deep end involving the love between Yoshi/Splinter and Tang Shen.

If we could get either a full on flashback episode 2 parter or have it shown in a finale similar to what we've been getting, it'd be interesting.

The plotline I have is this: Shredder was originally an orphan before being tended to by Hamato Yoshi. (no reference to his family whatsoever right now) Overtime, the two care for each other as friends and brothers as well as training together despite being Saki not knowing he's from the rival clan. This brings us to Tang Shen being introduced, at first as a pretty face but later with a likable charm as a character.

Then, like the origin story, they both start developing feelings for her overtime (time span of 6 months to a year). Saki then asks her out and reveals his feelings for her, but then Shen reveals she's dating someone else. It does get revealed Yoshi is dating her, but we feel sympathy for him because of rejection.

It ultimately is revealed to Saki he's a member of the rival clan, where he's introduced into it. Taking up the Kuro Kabuto and eventually becoming the leader, he orders the Foot Clan to destroy the Hamato Clan in a brutal war. As Tang Shen and Hamato Yoshi attempt to leave with Miwa, Saki arrives leading to a fight. However, before he can finish Yoshi off, Shen gets in the way to protect her husband. Just like previous mentions in the series so far, the building is burned, Yoshi is devestated and Miwa is taken and trained over the years into Karai.

If a two-parter, we also get to see the change over the fifteen years with the upbringing of Karai and the story of how Bradford and Xever were brought into the Foot Clan.

Although this is a Turtle torture based thread, I did want to share this idea as Shredder could be written similar to a tragic villain who loses sight. Some of this I will add into my story (I am so lazy with it), but it does give us more of a detailed look if possible.

Thoughts as of right now?

I think learning the people who raised you and cared for you since you were a baby and treated you as one of their own were the same people who killed your parents. I would say that would be a huge snapping point.

Because in learning that it didn't matter that Yoshi was like a brother too him or that he was loved and cared for in his childhood. What mattered is that he never got to know his father or mother because he was taken away from them from them so he never knew what sort of family they could have been.

Also just because Yoshi and Yoshi's father may have had a good relationship with Saki, there could have been other people in the Hamato Clan who would have hated and disliked him simply because he wasn't one of their clan. Such as maybe Yoshi's mother favoring her true born son over the stranger. Other people looking at him as if saying "Why are you even here?"

Very true points Victoryangel. My thoughts for a flashback seem very flawed right now as I started today with the idea. This was more of an outline, but I'm going to continue working on this for the time being. Thanks for the feedback.:)

Since the Muckman episode is almost a scene by scene remake of the OT episode where Muckman appears from the look of things. I can see it playing out like this.

Rocksteady and Bebop sneak into that lab and find a chemical that Stockman needs and also some mutagen. The Turtles show up to stop them, Bebop throws the Mutagen at Mikey and it falls out of the window and hits a sanitation worker who lands in garbage and mutates into Muckman. (This is all in the preview clip for the episode so don't take this part as a lucky prediction)

Some days pass and the Turtles learn there is a new mutant on the loose, so they go find him before the Shredder and his Goons do. Muckman adapts to his new form and also learns his left eye has become sentient. This is where he meets the Turtles for the first time. Despite the fact the Turtles are saying they only want to help him, Muckman wants nothing to do with them.

Rocksteady and Bebop also hear about Muckman and approach him. Muckman doesn't want anything to do with them either, the gruesome twosome however said it was the Turtles who caused his mutation and their hideous forms were because of the Turtles as well. Muckman becomes angered at this and wants vengeance.

He finds the Turtles and says he wants to make them pay for what they have done to him. He learns where the Turtles are and sends Joe Eye-ball to spy on them. And it's here Donnie comments that since the Kraang had returned to Dimention X mutagen is in a more limited supply so it would be harder to create Retromutagen particularly for a mutation that is as unique as Karai's. April reassuringly tells Donnie he'll find a way to restore Karai to normal once again.

Joe reports back and Muckman attacks. Mikey's general friendly personality however gets to Muckman and he realizes that he is fighting the wrong people. Donnie tells Muckman that he is developing a cure for mutations. Unknown to them Bebop and Rocksteady are listening in and they over hear Donnie offering to restore Muckman to human and realize he is the one they needed to watch.

Too bad Irma didn't turn out to be a real person in this version, considering how Joe Eyeball had a thing for her in the original toon. That was pretty funny, and I would've loved to have seen it played out in a similar fashion here.

If this can assist with the retromutagen subplot, this would be an interesting episode to watch. I agree with it, but I have just one problem: how exactly does this story end?

The episode would end with Rocksteady and Bebop overhearing that Donnie can make retromutagen and they figured they would keep an eye on him about this. Because the Shredder wants to restore Karai to human and they might think that could be something they bargain the Shredder with.

B+R have already got a fairly strong inkling of whats going on over the retromutagen though - I doubt they would need much more spelling out (particularly as neither of them are as stupid as their characters are normally portrayed) - I'd love to see them plotting quietly with Baxter behind the scenes to secure Donatello for themselves.

I dont know the original Muckman story so I cant really comment (though I am dreading trying to explain how the mutation works in universe context for the Mutagen thread) ;)

And I have to agree that a Shredder perspective flashback of the Tang Shen/Yoshi/Saki triangle would be very interesting. I have my suspicions that were it to be portrayed, we might discover that Hamato Yoshi was not as clear cut innocent of his own downfall as we've been told. It seems there are a lot of hints that Yoshi's rivalry with Saki was teetering on the edge of bullying or showing off - plus we know that it was Yoshi's temper that started that final fight that killed Tang Shen. Of course, anything like that would have to be taken with a pinch of salt anyway as it would be coming from Shredder's twisted viewpoint, but it'd be intriguing nonetheless - Imagine if a young Hamato Yoshi was much like Raphael in personality!

This all said, we've been saying for ages that a Villain perspective episode of any description would be a nice change of pace :)

The plot in the OT was fairly simple.

Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady break into a lab to get a chemical called Compound X-7 because it was believed that it would turn the Turtles back into normal turtles. The three of them couldn't find the chemical so Bebop and Rocksteady dump an ooze like substance out of a window which lands on two sanitation workers and mutates them into Muckman and Joe Eye-ball.

The two mutants see a tv report showing the Turtles leaving the scene of the break in causing them to think they were the cause of their mutations.

The two former garbage men then capture April and Irma so they can bate the Turtles. The turtles show up to save them except something about the two trash mutants causes them to weaken and become sick.

Shredder finds them and tells them that the Turtles are real monsters and even says Bebop and Rocksteady were mutated because of them.

Donatello figures out that whatever mutated Muckman and Joe reacts with their DNA. So Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Splinter go after April while Donatello goes to see if there is a sample of the chemical so he can make an antidote to what is making them so sick.

The group tracks April's turtle-com to Donatello's location and Shredder appears with Irma and April as hostage along with Muckman who causes the Turtles to become helpless and weak. Splinter tries to intervene but Shredder threatens to shoot the Turtles if he doesn't surrender.

When Shredder leaves with Splinter, April tells Muckman she can prove the Turtles didn't cause their mutations. Taking them into the lab she shows them security footage of Rocksteady and Bebop tossing the chemical out of the window and the garbage men getting hit with it. Causing them to realize they had been duped.

They all go to the lair so Dontello can whip up an antidote. And Joe provides a sample of the goo that was used to mutate them. The Turtles drink it and they are rendered immune and go to rescue Splinter with Muckman and Joe's help.

So with this episode it seems to play out similarly. Muckman being a sanitation worker, however he's by himself when he mutates. I agree Rocksteady and Bebop may have some idea of who can create the retromutagen, though guess work and comparing notes with Stockman.

But Stockman at this times is in a "If that Turtle can do it, so can I." frame of mind. Shredder however wants Karai restored now, not eventually. So Stockman or one of the Gruesome Two-some will reveal that Donatello has made a way to reverse mutations.

However it's questionable as to whether B & R were able to see that the retromutagen that Donnie can make at this time does not work. And none of them know what Mikey did to create that Super Retromutagen. So that would means much badlyness for DonDon.

I would say the Mutanimals get captured and experimented on. Leatherhead I can see maybe managing to escape and telling Slash and Rockwell that he would come back for them. (As we do see Leatherhead riding on top of the Party Wagon in the opening theme sequence) Pete I don't see Shredder keeping him around...but we have nothing that says he escapes aside from the fact that he isn't in any of the shots of the Mutanimals.

Raph I don't see him joining the Shredders team before end of this set up episodes, because usually they start with a light hearted episode and then end on a dark dramatic note. And Raph on the side of the Foot can be dark and dramatic. But I do admit that I could be wrong and their is something darker planned.

Okay called the last episode on similarities to "Muckman Messes up"

Was wrong on other points in this episode. And Raph is apparently going to be brainwashed.

However there was a media scare where the Turtles are almost exposed to the general public by Grody to the Max. That could be foreshadowing that the Turtles will be exposed to the media in a way they can't cover up.

For example maybe in the finally or somewhere close to the finally if not next season they are fighting an enemy such as the Pulverizer for example and get caught on camera.

And this isn't something they can just cover up, this is exposure straight up. The Turtles didn't want this to happen, but it happened anyway. They were not in a position to do anything about it. This brings about people complaining about how the city is being over run with mutants and how something needs to be done about it. This brings in Agent Bishop who informs the public that he is organizing an anti-mutant task force led by Dirk Savage to capture all mutants in the city.

Grody's reaction when she managed to get some Footage on the Turtles suggested that she knew about or had heard about the Turtles. Perhaps she saw them in the rescue from the Rat King, but she never had any proof about their existence before now.
However Muckman telling her that they are just kids in costume ruins any further reports she could have had on them at this time. So I can see her being irritated about not having anything to report about these Mutant Turtles. She wants to exposed them to the general public because she feels the public should know of their existence. Particularly since it would give her a ratings boost. She then sees them and gets irrefutable footage of them during a fight. When the Turtles get home they are surprised to learn they have been recorded. Splinter isn't happy about this but he can't ground his sons this time because they were doing their duty to help save the city.
April doesn't like that Grody is spreading lies about the Turtles. And even personally finds the reporter and tells her what she's saying about the Turtles is wrong. Grody at first doesn't care what opinions a girl like her has until April reveals the Turtles are friends of hers. Grody the asks April to tell her about her friends.
The next day April notices several of her school mates whispering to one another and staring at her. And her locker has a note saying "Turtle Lover" is on April's. Casey tells her that Grody reported about her. April see's part of the report and realized that Grody twisted her words.
Two girls known as the Shellhammer twins, Tiffany and Buffy Shellhammer (Loosely based off Tiffany the Turtle Hater and Buffy Shellhammer from the OI) start teasing April about being friends with those Turtle freaks.
April contacts Grody but Grody just says she knows what the public wants to believe.
April morosely informs them about what happened. They tell her they appreciated the fact she tried to defend them. Leo then remembers the message board April made back when her dad was prisoner of the Kraang and asks if she could make something similar to that about them. April agrees and sets to work creating as blog talking about how Grody is wrong about the Turtles and talks about what she knows about them and who they are as people.
At first all the responses are “You’re crazy, why should we believe you?” and things of that ilk. The Shellhammer twins even tell her they checked out her lame little blog and that no one is going to believe her.
Her father however tells her that he found her blog interesting and he feels she should continue writing it. So she continues writing starting with how she first met the Turtles, leaving out details about where their lair is located and other things that are meant to be kept hidden. There are still responses of disbelief. However there are a few who find her posts to be interesting and they want to learn more about her experiences with the turtles.

Grody’s report is also bringing out a bounty hunter named Dirk Savage who tells someone he’ll capture the Turtles. Then says a chess move like “Knight to Bishop…Checkmate.”

So long as it doesnt turn out that Dirk Savage is the Finger's brother

It'll be really interesting if and when this starts becoming an issue. Muckman has now become a publically recognised mutant. Add that to the two Kraang invasions and that the EPF is already in existence, it seems inevitable that a government crackdown on this 'mutant scourge' in New York will come into play at some point.

I'd love to see them wrangle someone like Sigourney Weaver to voice Bishop (who I know is normally a male character, but I love the idea that she would turn out to be Casey's missing mother).

In theory, I guess Bishop would be set up as the 'replacement major villain' after Shredder. I can imagine that by the end of Season 3 - maybe mid season 4 -, Shredder will be dealt a major defeat and be forced to retreat entirely or have a Rat king style 'falls into the darkness' fate.
The devastation that is wrought during that confrontation is what finally brings in Bishop to take matters into her own hands personally. She declares martial law, and a citywide search for all mutants.

Dirk is brought in (possibly for the second time - he could have had an intro earlier to foreshadow this coming) to start rounding up the mutants for 'registration'.

Bishop manipulates Casey into picking sides between the Turtles and his own family. Casey initially thinks Bishop is doing the right thing, but swiftly realises Bishop has no intention of doing anything other than permanently lock the mutants away - including April.

For the Turtles, they realise that the EPF are trying to help, but are themselves torn over whether the ends justifies the means. As it becomes clear they are under threat, they are forced to defend themselves, but want to try and convince Bishop not all mutants are dangerous.

During the round up, whilst the Turtles manage to escape, another mutant starts to organise a fight back against the EPF, convincing the survivors of Shredder's old crew and some of the more aggressive Mutanimals to join him. This 'Old Hob' starts striking back with such force that the EPF is forced into a kind of urban war. This catches the Turtles between the two forces, considered Mutant traitors by Old Hob and Mutant fugitives by the EPF.

It might be an interesting twist for Bishop to be Casey's father which would be a good explanation as to why Casey couldn't find his father or sister. I mean if they were Kraangafied wouldn't he have seen something he recognized.

I know in the 2k3 story line Bishop was known as John Bishop because that was his name. But then you have plots such Hun being Casey's abusive father in the IDW comic.

So maybe Bishop is just a code name that Casey's father goes by in the government and every on his echelon has Chess code names for things. Such as King and Queen being the President and First Lady. So Dirk could be Knight or Rook.

And then as a civilian Bishop is just known as Arnold Jones and Angel could be Casey's little sister. Or maybe vice vers, Arnold Jones is the cover name and John Bishop is the real one.

Casey at first is okay if not a little confused about his father being a government agent. However he later loses respect for his father, when his friends get targeted on the flimsy grounds that they are a threat to humanity.

Bishop: Who are you going to choose these mutants....or your family?

Casey: I don't need to choose...these mutants are my family!

I've been toying with one idea. So, my dad recently borrowed the ninth season of the OT from the library. I joked around with my sister that one day they'll run out of things to mutate and double mutate the turtles in the current series. Yeah...anyway:

Donnie's trying to recreate the super retro-mutagen and maybe when he comes close enough to getting it, he tries it out on his DNA and all that, but notices something off. He calls the others into his lab to explain, says that the mutagen in their blood is becoming seriously unstable, etc. and they should play it safe because there's all sort of bad things that could happen. Maybe April's there one day playing videos games with Mikey in his room because Donnie's budy (because A) she needs to be with a turtle other than Donnie sometimes. B) it'd be relevant to the story. And C) IDK. It'd be cute. Also, that part was my sister's idea), Mikey stops playing and says that it's like he's hurting everywhere. So she takes him to Donnie's lab and says that Mikey needs his help:

April: (trying her best to hold Mikey up) Don! There's something wrong with Mikey! Donnie? Hello? Donnie! (opens the door)

Donnie: (in the corner, mostly in the shadow) A-April. H-help.

Then he comes out with fangs, claws, etc.

Then I don't know what's next. LOL. Just had this idea. I know a lot of people don't like the red sky seasons, but eh.:tcouch:
That would be kinda cool if done right, I don't like the ot but the red sky seasons were the best part of it

Donnie has always been a genius. However this is the first incarnation where there is some negativity towards it. In the past we have normally seen the turtles accepting that is what Donatello can offer the team. In the 2k3 the other turtles accept and appreciate what there brother does and helps out where they can. In the ot they did take advantage of Donnie by having him fix things around the lair which he has complained about.

In this current incarnation Donnie's brothers do respect Donnie as an intellectual but they also take advantage of him too. And because of his intellect Donnie does have trouble relating to his brothers at times.

Einstein was quoted as saying that he found it ironic that a man like him could be so universally known and yet be so incredibly lonely. This is because to someone of Einstine's inteligence level people of more average inteligence we're afraid that he would look down on them.

Donnie has occasionally shown some arrogance about his inteligence he doesn't intentionally let his high inteligence define who he is as a person. However in his brothers eyes they occasionally do mistake his actions as lording his intelect over them. So what if they looked at the other side the coin and showed Donnie maybe occasionally seeing his high intelect as a curse.

After the mind control serum is perfected and gets in2 raphs head again, after a few episodes, renet shows up and tells Leo, Donnie, and mikey that things in the future r extremely grave

Donnie asks how things could be as grave as she says while Leo is pondering it over, renet just hangs her head and insists on showing them since words won't describe the severity

~12yrs in the future~ Renet and the guys appear in a field a bit away from some ruins

Leo and mikey look around trying 2 figure out where they r while Don tries 2 analyse the ruins in the distance when renet says that they have 2 take cover underground 4 the time being, they start 2 question her when some planes come overhead and start dropping bombs

As bombs r going off around them, renet says there's a underground tunnel nearby and leads them toward the southern part of the ruins, when they r almost at the tunnel, 2 of the planes land and 30 soldiers run out and insist that they stand down and that the supreme commander says those that don't follow the orders will r terminated on the spot, renet shouts back at how the supreme commander is a lapdog 4 the dark shadow

The soldiers get infuriated at renets comment and state that the dark shadow will consume them then 2 the guys surprise, come at them w tanto and spears while a few soldiers pull out machine guns

The guys take out all tanto wielding soldiers while renet manages 2 wipe out the gunners, after Don knocks out the soldiers he was fighting and turns 2 see Leo facing the last 3 soldiers, he notices 1 of the spears looks different, when Leo has his back on said soldier, mikey shouts out a warning but be4 Leo could react, the soldier twirls his spear and slices Leos arm and throws a shuriken at mikeys throat which he yelps and easily dodges and sweeps his feet under the soldier then notices that Leo collapsed

The remaining 2 soldiers r quickly dealt w and rush 2 Leos side, be4 Don has a chance 2 look over Leos arm, renet urges that they take him 2 the tunnel be4 checking on his condition, once in the tunnel, Don tries waking Leo but seeing a black outline around the gash, renet tells him that it's useless cause of the poison that was coating the spear blade and that only the dark shadow has the cure and that even if cured, Leo could still loose his arm

Hearing this Don gets infuriated and demands that she tell them of wat went on back there and who the supreme commander is/wat is the dark shadow, renet says that the world is a lot worse than wat they knew and way they've seen so far is barely the surface, she goes on explaining that the supreme commander is karai and that the dark shadow is some1 that used 2 follow shredder but turned on him and killed him and took over the foot and made them more than just a clan, taking over the world and dimension x in the process, since then has set his sights on other worlds, spreading his reign like wildfire

She then states that the poison inside Leo was specially designed by the dark shadow as a way of striking fear in2 his enemies and expanding his rule and the only way 2 cure Leo is 4 them 2 plead w the dark shadow himself

Don interrupts her asking y no1 has stopped the dark shadow yet and y can't renet cure Leo herself being a timestress and all when renets look goes grave be4 saying that several tried but all have disappeared and regarding the poison, there was something in it that time couldn't reverse

Just knowing about the severity of the poison, Dons expression deeply saddens while noticing that Leos condition was getting worse, already having trouble breathing, Don decides that he would take Leo w him and reason w the dark shadow 4 a cure and renet agrees 2 help them escape after Leos been cured

Renet then decides 2 lead them 2 a nearby abandoned town that gets patrolled a lot, Don urges mikey 2 stay w renet despite mikeys pleas on staying w Leo be4 heading out 2 wait 4 the patrol

After 20min of waiting and worrying about Leos condition, a patrol ship finally comes around and after a little pleading, the soldiers finally agree 2 take him 2 the dark shadows fortress

While carrying Leo, Don is led in2 the throne room, not sure wat kind of stuff the dark shadow will try, only 2 see raph sitting in the throne when karai (at this point she's no longer mutated) comes up from behind and kneels 2 raph while Don is just staring in shock until he feels Leo seize up momentarily from the poison and shifts Leos position some, raph has his focus on karai until he senses this

Looking up, he says "Well, well... Wasn't expecting 2 see u all again. Must say it's a surprise 2 see u considering I killed u all yrs ago though I can feel Leo won't last long. Assuming u came 4 the cure 2 the poison." Hearing this, all Don can ask y and wat he means by being able 2 feel Leos condition and tries 2 reason w karai when she stands up and stands at raphs side

Dons attention is redirected back 2 raph when he continues on "After yrs of serving the shredder, ur outlook can change a lot. I was mind controlled 4 about 5 yrs be4 I was sent on a task that nearly killed me but ended up saving me and I was able 2 break free from his control but changed me, now I'm forever 1 w the shadow. Don't try reasoning w karai, she would be dead if not 4 me, w/out my shadow being in her, she would be. On Leos condition, well, I feel it the moment my poison enters a body and I feel the moment that body dies. My poison is the only of its kind and since my body went through that change, I'm almost immortal. Given from I feel, he has a hr at most. Don't think I'm giving him the cure though, like I said, I killed u 3 yrs ago. Besides, I am the dark shadow now, this world along w many others is my domain and u willingly came in2 my fortress, heck I knew when the 3 of u and that woman showed up in that field and I ordered the attack!" Don was floored w wat he heard raph say. As raph finished, a huge smile spread across his face. At that Don nearly lost all hope, was so caught up in despair from wat raph said, losing 2 brothers instead of 1, that he almost didn't notice raph stand up from the throne and billowing black smoky clouds surround his brother and head towards him and leo. <end of ep>

The next few eps focus on getting out of raphs fortress and meeting up w mikey and renet, going back 2 prevent Leo getting hit by the poisoned spear and getting back 2 their own time, then freeing raph from the mind control and prevent the accident that nearly killed raph which gave him control of the shadows and the shadow poison

Didn't one of the comics also touch on the idea of Raph taking over the Foot after Shredder's defeat?

That might make for some interesting conflicts :)

Yes the image comics I believe had a part where they said Raph had become the new Shredder. And that was one of his fears in the "Darkness Within" episode. His greatest fear is that he would be consumed by his anger and becoming his greatest enemy.

Leo and Donnie both had fears of failure.

Leo was letting down or disappointing those who were important to him.

Donnie's fear was being unable to prevent the deaths of his loved ones. Which is later branches into being a cause in the said deaths of loved ones.

Mikey's greatest fear was betrayal.

Hmmm, "The Gang's All Here" redux, but with all four? Could be fun. Heck, I've already played with that one myself. It's be interesting to see what they'd all look like in THIS version, since Mikey commented that he was "hunky" in the OT one. I take that with a grain of salt, though, since he looked a little tubby in it. But I've always thought they should have touched on it again at some point.

Really must catch up on Berserk's revamp at some point...

Anyway - we were discussing the idea of a 'human Turtles' ep a while ago, there was even a dedicated thread for it. Generally mixed feelings from the community, but some very good ideas of how it could be done. I forget whose idea it was - certainly not mine - but someone came up with the idea of it being a 'dream' scenario whereby Rat King was manipulating Donatello and Donnie was seeing everyone he knew as normal humans in this 'perfect high school scenario'. I thought that was a genuinely very clever idea.

And as for Raph becoming the new Shredder I would love to see something move towards doing that. I know I was probably one of the worst for hoping Dark Raph would be an arc and not an episode fragment, but I would still love to see the show revisit that idea - I still think it would have worked best if he had chosen to become like that himself without mind control - even if some coercion or manipulation had been involved.

I would watch that! Although I would only want it to be one episode, since we have already had a dream scenario with the Dream Beavers. It would be a fun one-off episode, and another appearance of the Rat King. But, I would want him to go into everybody's minds, instead of just Don's, and then at the end maybe have them all meet up and discuss their weird, shared dream in an awesome conclusion.

I would like to see that. I think it could be very well done. The writers on the Nick show are very good, and I think they could handle an arc like this. But, this raises a couple questions for me:
1. Will Raphael stay like this forever? I doubt he would just turn on Splinter...but he is quite rebellious, so I don't know. I think Shredder would definitely have to manipulate Raphael a bit, or maybe it will be like the Image comics..
2. What will he do to his brothers and Splinter? Will he completely reject them, taking over New York first, or rage a war against them in an awesome arc?

Anyway, for me, I would like to see an arc based on the Image comics, where Donatello is part cyborg, Raph dawning the Shredder name, Leo having a cybernetic hand ect. Who else would like to see this? Hope I'm not the only one!

We were discussing these ideas before as part of the Dark Raph arc discussions. I quite like the idea that Raph goes too far with something whilst working alongside the Turtles - such as his rage getting the better of him in a fight and he actually kills Fishface or Rahzar instead of merely defeating them.
He then becomes so ashamed that he leaves the others, unable to face them for what he has done. That's when Shredder offers to take him in, train him and starts manipulating his perceptions of what happened to turn him against his brothers.

I quite like the idea that even after the arcs conclusion and that Raph manages to forgive himself, realises he's been manipulated and rejoin his brothers, that he still doesn't actually return to being part of the group for a while. I think it would be cool to have him leave and become a lone vigilante - especially if other members of the group are also splitting off (say Leo to train, Mikey to find Renet, Don to leave to join a research group finding a cure for something). It'd be nice to really have a strong focused episode for each turtle following an arc like that.

I'm not a great fan of a cyborg Donnie, though I could well imagine him ending up with a cybernetic hand (in similar vein to Star wars). I'd be very impressed if Raph doesn't end up with an eyepatch at some point, or Leo spends at least 1 episode blind (alongside some heavy foreshadowing)

I agree. Maybe we would see Raphael being the Nightwatcher like in the 2007 movie. That's what I loved about that movie. Their jobs made sense, because of their character. Maybe April and Casey will grow up a bit...:o

Anyone think that Donnie's video game character getting decapitated foreshadows that something might happen to him in the next episode.

We know Karai is being brainwashed by the Shredder and in the Preview we see her in her human form. So perhaps the Shredder is able to force her to remember she was human,as her inability to return to her human form is because her mutation was consuming her so she had probably forgotten what her human form looked like.

In the preview she attacks and poison's Casey as a means of bating out the turtles. There is only a moment with Raph and Mikey with Casey and only one small moment with Leo.

In the past three episodes, Donnie has been pushed into the background giving his brothers more room to shine is a good thing. But this is also done when something major is going to happen to a character.

So with Casey attacked that would affect the triangle. April's reaction to Casey getting poisoned gets Donnie to believe she has made her choice with them. He doesn't like it but he can't interfere with it.

However later at the climax of the episode. Karai has a moment where she is about to poison April, and Donnie pushes her out of the way only to be poisoned himself, and that where April reveals her true feelings for Donnie.

Well Karai does seem to have something against April whilst working with Shredder - maybe that feeling re emerges. It should be an interesting episode regardless.

I'm actually hoping they reveal the worms were a test run for the serum and that Baxter has been looking for a more reliable means of administering it (spray or even using Karai's own poison to administer it?)

If anything it would get the love triangle moving towards a conclusion rather then have it being stuck in a stalemate where April has feelings for both guys but ultimately hasn't really picked a suitor. I mean yeah we have seen signs she's leaning in Donnie's direction with the "Your my mutant" thing. But ultimately it hasn't gone anywhere.

And Karai does hate April because she is jealous of her or at least that was part of the reason behind it. After all Karai has been taught her whole life that respect must be earned through fear and intimidation. And then she encounters April who is a seemingly insignificant girl, who is somehow wanted by a race of aliens, and is able to get love and respect by four mutant turtles and their master just by being their friend. And then later it was more like she wanted to kill April so they would understand the feeling of losing someone they loved like she lost her mother. But at the same time she also wanted to spread discord among the Turtle's unity, with April's demise. After all if she didn't suspect that one of the Turtles (i.e. Donnie) had feelings for April before. She was likely thinking it after the events of "Target April O'Neil." As she does say "I was expecting all the Turtles to show up." And Donnie was all set to kill Karai if it had come to that. If he hadn't gone to rescue April, Donnie certainly would have been mad at his brothers for not allowing him to go to help when she needed it. Or at the very least mad at himself for not going to save her.

Also in Wrath of Tiger Claw, Karai influences April into believing that she really does suspect that the Shredder is lying to her about being her father. And when April says "I believe Splinter and her" Donnie says "I believe...April" because she was the only one who was really saying the truth here.

Much like Raph, Donnie has no real reason to accept Karai as one of them aside from the fact she's Splinter's daughter and Leo has a thing for her. And I believe that's why Donnie was defending her to Raph in that episode because he wants to believe Leo is right about her...that she is good. Mikey wants to trust her because she is technically their sister so he's more or less pro-neutral. However Donnie doesn't trust her, so he keeps leans towards the opinions of people he does trust such as Leo...but even then there is a point where he can no longer play a neutral role. And I think this is that point where he is sure that Leo is fooling himself into believing that Karai is salvageable. Raph is more likely to say it to Leo's face...but Donnie would put his life on the line to prove a point. Especially when the lives of his kith and kin are involved. So if Karai to bite or poison April...or Leo...it is likely to be Donnie who gets it. After all we still have that unresolved dispute that's up in the air.

So if it's April who is attacked, it would be the push April to indicate which boy she truly loves.

If it's Leo however...it might give him a taste of what his brothers went through (particularly Donnie) when he was in a coma.

A scientist kidnaps a mutant (I suggest Mondo Gecko), the Turtles bust in and demand he'll release the mutant, his response is "Yeah sure, take him. If you can stitch him back together that is" and we cut to a shot of the mutant's organs bottled up individually.

Well we've 8 episodes to go so not much room left to set up and conclude a season climax.

I think Don being injured or poisoned trying to defend April, Leo or even Splinter would be interesting - though I wonder if it should go further;

There's still the mind control thread to tie up, so I'm hoping Baxter manages to modify the serum based on initial tests. The worms were impractical on a large scale, so they have now two versions - one based on the cheesy puffs made in Hun's factory, and another more potent one to administer it as part of Karai's venom.
Hun is put in charge of distributing the tainted cheesy puffs across the city. In the meantime, with Karai firmly back under control, he uses her to attack the turtles, hoping to distract them long enough to keep them away from disrupting his plan.

In the meantime, Don is nearly done on a retromutagen variant that should work on Karai, but its not finished and Raph has discovered that Shredder's goons are up to something..

The Turtles are ambushed by Karai whilst trying to track down some other of Shredder's goons. Raph is bitten but appears ok. Leo tries and fails to get through to Karai, realising she must have been mind controlled.

Karai disappears and the Turtles split up to try and find her. Mikey, Casey and Leo go one way, while Raph, Don and April go the other.

Mikey, Casey and Leo bump into the Mutanimals who are also trying to track Shredder's goons. Rockwell, Slash and Pete go with Leo's group and find Karai first. Leo tries again to talk sense into her - trying to goad her the same way as he did Raph. It doesn't seem to work. Rockwell determines she is much more powerfully controlled. Karai spits at Pete and hits him with the venom. Pete almost immediately becomes mind controlled and starts attacking Mikey. Mikey realises that Karai's venom is causing mind control, making the fight with her that much more dangerous.

Karai withdraws again, Pete is subdued and Leo realises in horror that Raph was bitten earlier. Casey immediately rushes off to try and get to them.

Meanwhile, Don and April are talking trying about where to look next as Raph seems to be itching at the bite wound and getting increasingly impatient and irritable. As Don and April are talking, Raph suddenly attacks, overpowering Don and pushing him back. Don tries to ask him what's wrong, but Raph isn't responding. April tries to intervene and realises that his mind is completely clouded with rage and that Raph is trying to fight the control off.
She calls out to him to try and encourage and help him fight it but it backfires when it draws his attention to her.

He turns and flings a sai at her. Don leaps to her defence and throws himself in its path, taking the hit. He staggers but doesn't fall and desperately tries to defend her as Raph shoves her out of the way. Don can't hope to defeat Raph in his wounded state and does his best to buy time for April to escape.

April pulls back as Donnie asks. Casey arrives first but some foot soldiers and some of Shredder's goons (Hun?) have arrived to slow him down. Mikey and Leo arrive too late and watch as Raph escapes. They don't find Donatello, but find his mask and a broken bo staff.

I think that would set up nicely for Donatello's capture, forcing Mikey to step up to finish the retromutagen. Leo to confront Karai, Casey to be more heroic, Raph to return to the dark side, April to be separated from Don and vaguely explaining how the serum plan is going to work.

Hope that makes some sense anyway :)

The cheese balls don't have much involvement in the story, that was just the means to connect the turtles to the plot.

For example there are companies that have markets and connections to other products such as Frito-Lays, Nestle, and General Mills being subsidiary companies of Pepsi Co. So they are essentially saying Auman Chemicals also makes cheese puffs as a sub-product to their product line. (Possibly because of all the chemicals and preservatives and stuff that are used in it) Think of it as Bayer Aspirin having a subdivision that produces popcorn.

It's possible they didn't know about the cheese powder chemical, as none of the Shredder's goons realized what Donnie was trying to do until it became vary obvious he was intending to contaminate the chemical vats.
So it could be possible the cheese puffs could be a means of distributing the serum to the general public and mutants alike. The same would be true about putting it in the city's water supply.

However we do have at lease four more episodes involving the farm house this season as it is confirmed that we have 13 episodes using the farm house and we've only had about 9 so far. One episode would likely be the finally as that is a second base for the Turtles and they would normally use it a place to rest and recover from intense battles. So after defeating the Shredder they are likely to be cooling their heels at the farmhouse as an actual vacation while the city is recovering itself. But that still leaves three episodes unaccounted for.

Unlike the beginning of the season they can't hang out at the farmhouse until whenever this time, and they can't go there for some random reason. So a good plausibility is if someone got seriously hurt.

Karai's involvement in the "Deadly Venom" feels more as a means of distracting and eliminating the turtles and co while the Shredder carry's out the rest of his plan to control the city.

Since she knows where the Turtles live, they would be sitting ducks down there. And if one of them is sick and injured the Shredder is not going to give them the time to recover. So that would be the excuse for the Turtles to return to the farmhouse, regroup and return.

One episode could be a flashback the off screen moments from the beginning of the season. (That could easily be just a triggered memory or conversation that was a moment off screen. Such as maybe whatever Donnie and Leo may have talked about when Donnie was saving Raph's life.)

One would likely be a flashback episode so maybe a Tales of Leo plot involving Donnie or whoever.

A tales of Leo plot is reference to the 2k3 episode of that title. In the episode the Turtles had just arrived at the farmhouse for the first time with a brutally injured Leonardo. Splinter tells them that there is a belief that the voices of loved ones can bring back a person from the brink of death. So all the Turtles, first Donnie-Memory of a time Leo saved his life when they were kids.
then Mikey-Memory of trying to break Leo's concentration.
Then Raph- Memory of Leo demonstrating a leaders wisdom (Raph also yells at Leo about not wanting to wake up because he's too scared.)
Splinter then gives a memory of Leo concurring his fear of heights.
Leo wakes up and everyone rejoices.
Mikey: We thought you were gone, dude.
Leo: I was gone....but you guys brought me back. (Goes back to sleep again)

So if a Tales of Donnie plot happened-I can see this
Mikey would be the first because he's the one who likes to try things first.
Leo would be next thinking it's worth a shot.
Raph would be reluctant thinking the whole thing is stupid.
Splinter would offer a memory instead.
April maybe offers the memory of when Donnie risked his own life to save her in rise of the turtles. (if there's time)
Raph insists he doesn't have any memories to share. Leo however called Raph on his BS and says he does have a memory, but it's of an event he has never forgiven Donnie for. Raph then tells about the day he got that crack in his shell.

And then last episode could be everyone preparing to return to New York when they encounter Renet and get sent on the adventure against Savantei Ramero. Then after that they are returning to the city to end Shredder once and for all.

Wouldn't it be twisted if Hamato Yoshi (like the past one before he became Splinter) hurt one of the turtles, thinking they are the enemy?

I mean like really hurt, and it isn't even their father.. but in a way he is. Can you imagine what it would be like if he were to attack them because they were 'freaks'?
They are called freak a lot, but never by their own father.

April and Casey are walking home. While the two of them are walking, Casey comments about that Retromutagen thing Donnie believes would work on Karai.
April says that she would be happy when this whole Karai thing is over.

Karai in the mean time is listening and reports to the Shredder that Donatello has created a retromutagen he believes would cure her mutation. Tiger Claw offers to retrieve the Retromutagen from the Turtle. The other Foot Mutants want to go retrieve it

Shredder however says no. The Retromutagen is too much of a threat...it should be destroyed and the Turtle who created it along with it.

Karai comments that Donatello is the weakest and most pathetic of the Turtles. It won't require much effort to take him out, however he needs to be away from his brother first. She has a plan for that however but she would need Razar and Steranko for the task.

April is headed towards the lair on her own when she senses someone is following her. She suddenly finds herself face to face with Rocksteady, she gets away from him only to narrowly avoid Razar. She is cornered by Karai. April attempts to use her mind powers to try and force Karai to see that the enemy is Shredder, but she is knocked out.

In the lair Donnie receives a call from April. Only to learn it's Karai that calling. She tells him that She has April and even allows April to scream "Donnie it's a trap." to prove it. Karai then tells Donnie to come alone and bring the retromutagen with him, or else his girl friend would pay the price. Donnie is torn but grabs the retromutagen and leaves. Casey spots him and follows a bit, but gets the feeling that somethings not right about this. He contacts Raph about it, Leo checks the lab and finds a note from Donnie saying that Karai had April and would kill her if he didn't go alone.

That scenario could easily work at this stage :) I'd like to think that there would be something worked around it -

Maybe something like Kirby thanking Donatello for keeping her safe and then guilt tripping him for the danger she's been in - 'I know I've been a bit over bearing recently, but you've been a good friend to her. Thank you. But you have got to let her go. She's not safe with you.'

Something like that anyway, just enough to put more emotional weight on Donnie and make him more defiant to prove he can protect her/save her.

I'd also like it if either Raph or Mikey figured out what he was about to do (walk in on him ruining the research in his lab for instance) and figuring out that something is up. Leo would never let him go alone, and Donnie has gone off on a solo mission before. It'd be nice for one of the others to step up and decide to secretly support him - Either Raph as the big brother supporting his geeky brother's crush or Mikey stubbornly refusing not to offer some help.

It'd neednt effect the outcome much but imagine the ambush goes as Karai plans, Mikey/Raph (delete as appropriate) intervenes and between Donnie and him get April mostly from danger. However it ends with Donnie having to stay behind to keep the exit open or unable to escape due to injury. Raph/Mikey get April out as Donnie sacrifices his chance to escape.

Donnie is now captured, but April is at least safe and it means that one of the other Turtles is aware of what's happened - setting up nicely for the next episode.

I was thinking about my previous scenario. And Casey seeing Donnie and realizing something isn't right might not have been the good idea. As you pointed out Leo wouldn't have let Donnie go alone. However Leo does have an uncanny knack of sensing when something is wrong. (such as when he wakes up not long after Donnie leaves in Operation: Break out)

So maybe April is ambushed walking home, Donnie receives a call telling him to come alone and bring the retromutagen with him or else. Donnie knows he should inform his brothers about this, but Leo wouldn't let him go into this situation alone. So instead he leaves a note saying what has happened and where he has gone.

Kirby arrives at the lair and asks of April is still there. Leo tells him she left their lair over an hour ago. Kirby tells him that April never arrived home and all calls go to voice mail. Leo gets a bad feeling and goes to the lab and finds the note Donnie left.

He goes tells the others, Kirby gets upset and says that he knew allowing April to continue to visit them would be trouble. Splinter calms him down and reassures him that she will be alright. Raph contacts Casey and tells him where to meet them. Splinter also joins in, Kirby insists on going as well.

On the trip Raph grumbles about what Donnie was even thinking about going to face Karai on his own. And maybe makes a gripe that Donnie isn't effective in battle and has no chance against someone of Karai's caliber.

Leo however says "No...it's not that he's a weaker fighter...he's a different kind of fighter." He has a few glimpses of watching Donnie training in the dojo when they were kids. Splinter smiles slightly at Leo about this insight, but Raph just feels this proves his point.

April in the mean time tries to reason with Karai and that she shouldn't do this and that Donnie created the retromutagen in order to help her. Karai just scoffs and says she didn't ask for his help nor does she want it. All she wants is to end the Turtles lives because her father wants them gone.
April once again tells Karai she is making a big mistake and that the Shredder is the true enemy. Karai however says, maybe I should kill you in front of Donatello first, it would be a pleasure to see his heart being crushed as he watches you breath your last.

April then uses her mind powers on Karai forcing her suppressed memories of the image of Splinter and her mother holding her as a baby, images of having the Turtles as friends. However Karai breaks free of April's mind abilities but the impact still leaves Karai confused.

Donnie shows up and demands that April be released. Karai coyly asks "And let her miss all the fun of watching your life come to an end?" She then has Rahzar and Rocksteady attack Donnie for a while before she jumps in herself. And while she fights she taunts Donnie about being a weak fighter...how if he was part of the Foot Clan the Shredder would have executed him long ago. And that his hopes that April would ever love him were pathetic. In the onslaught Donnie is over powered and seriously injured, Karai takes the retromutagen and destroys it so it can't be used on her or anyone else. She then tells the two mutants to take their time with him, as his brothers would doubtlessly be arriving soon only to find they are all too late. However when she turns away from them a tear is shown sliding down her face and she feels a pain in her chest as though something inside of her knows this is wrong.

The other Turtles, Casey and Splinter arrive and rescue Donnie. Kirby in the mean time unties April and tells her they are getting out of there. April however says "No! I need to help my friends!" He gets agitated and says that this is no place for his precious baby girl. April however says "I'm not a little girl any more...I'm a Kunoichi." Pulling out her fan she rushes into the fight. The Foot clan retreats and Karai tells them that things aren't over.

Mikey comments that Donnie doesn't look too good. All the others agree that things look really bad, April is in tears as she sits by him and checks his pulse. She comments that he his heart is barely beating. Casey asks Leo and Splinter could do that healing hands thing that saved them when they were all poisoned. Splinter says it can slow down the poison that is in his blood stream, but his physical injuries are also serious and could limit how effective the healing hands could be.

April insists that they have to do something...they can't sit and watch him die. She's experienced that once to feel him essentially die in her arms and she didn't want to feel that again.

The turtles gather Donnie up and move to the party wagon, Kirby on the other hand tells them all to do whatever they need to do. As everyone drives off we see Kirby's hand clinch into an angry fist.

In side both Splinter and Leo are sitting over Donnie's body and performing the healing hands which appears to work for now. During the trip, Mikey points out that Karai knows how to get to the lair. This causes Raph to stop the van because he knows that Karai could simply attack them all in their sleep any time she wishes. They all agree there is only once place they can honestly go and as much as they loath the idea of abandoning the city to the Shredder, they would return and take it back. They only risk returning to the lair to get some provisions (and Ice Cream Kitty)

After the Turtles, Karai arrives to destroy the lair. At some point she comes across the photo of Hamato Yoshi with her as a baby which helps bring back some of her memories. She secretly slips the photo under her armor.

Rocksteady comes in and says they founds something she should see in the Turtles Lab. She goes to Donnie's lab and smirks when she sees mutagen man.

I'm really intrigued to know how they are going to deal with the Lair thing. You're absolutely right that Karai would be able to lead the Foot straight to it. Its got to happen eventually and you're probably spot on that she'd pick up the photo as a nod to her starting to break free.

"I'm not a little girl any more...I'm a Kunoichi."

I'd pay good money to see a scene like that :)

Well we do have four more episodes of the Turtles at the farm house. So they are going to need the reason to go there. A wounded brother one reason, as they know said brother is going to need time to recover from his injuries and that is time the Shredder is not going to let them have.

So the only option is to evacuate the lair. After all the lair is merely where they live, but home is where they all are.

The turtles arrive at the farm house and settle Donnie on the couch. Leo and Splinter have helped drain the poison from his system but it is too soon to tell if he would recover.

Raph is upset and starts saying Donnie had no business in going against Karai on his own and other things. April gets fed up with it, but before she can do or say anything. Mikey snaps and tells Raph that he has no right to judge Donnie for what happened. He did what any of them would have done in that situation and all he was doing was saving the girl he loved. That shouldn't be something that is he should be criticized for. If anyone is to blame it would be the Shredder and he would get whats coming to him.

Later on Mikey is shown talking to Donnie while Splinter is meditating. Raph and Leo are venting frustration by sparing in the yard. April checks in on Donnie and notices Donnie is reacting to what Mikey is saying. Splinter comes out of his meditation and checks. He then says there is an ancient belief that those even on the brink of death can be brought back by the voices of loved ones. April asks if Donnie can hear them, and Splinter says perhaps he is listening.

Mikey then starts talking to Donnie and tells him a memory of a time where Donnie had been there when they were kids. Raph and Leo enter the house. Casey tells them whats going on, Raph is dubious and says the whole thing sounds to far fetched. Leo however says it's worth a try. He then tells Donnie a memory from their childhood. Raph still is against the whole idea, April offers a memory, as does Splinter. Raph is still reluctant, but then reveals the memory of how he got the chip in his shell.

While he's giving this memory he takes Donnie's hand i one of his own. Donnie's hand lightly grips Raph's and his eyes open slightly. Raph is so relieved to see Donnie awake he hugs his brother. April also hugs Donnie and tells him not scare her like that ever again.

I like the Mikey shouting at Raph parallel with IDW particularly :)

I'm not sure whether Splinter would go back to the farmhouse with them. It just seems off somehow, not sure why but its hard to imagine him with them there - its a place they go to 'grow up on the their own' and having a father figure there just seems to upset that impression. On the other hand they would be repeating themselves to have Splinter die/go missing/be captured again just prior.

It just works better in my mind that they talk to an unconscious Donnie separately of their own accord. Not really expecting anything to come of it but just talking. Similar to how Raph was at Leo's side previously.

You could show them taking shifts to watch Donnie, each one of them taking the chance to talk in hopes he might be listening, or just to get their own feelings of their chest. Then you could cover their feelings of a recent event they feel guilty over (perhaps an argument or teasing from Casey, Leo feeling he failed him, etc), an admission of some kind or a memory.
Kind of similar to when the family comes into a hospital to talk with coma victims.

You'd cover the exact same bases that way but remove the need for mystical element. Donnie just wakes up on his own accord following Raph's apology/memory/admission.

Would probably take most of an episode to do though. So would make for a very quiet emotion driven ep overall

Well Splinter's been with them at the farm house in every other incarnation, and they don't want to abandon Splinter like they did last time. So yeah, he would be at the farm house with them when they return. It might be good showing him adjusting to the place since the other Turtles are familiar with the lay out of the area since they lived there for about 5-6 months. But it's been over 16 years since Splinter has lived in a house so being able to live like a person (more or less) would be a new experience for him after living in the sewers for so long.

I do agree maybe in this version having the Turtles individually talking to Donnie. It saves the scene being too crowded. In the 2k3 having everyone around Leo worked because he was on deaths door step, so as much as they wanted him to wake up. They also wanted to be there in case he passed on as well.

I can imagine once Karai's venom was gone Donnie's condition would be stable so he would less likely to die. But if he returned to them it would be up to him.
Maybe Casey or Mikey suggests placing Donnie in the tub like they did with Leo and Splinter says they should just let him rest for now.

Raph's memory should be how he got that chip in his shell as that would be an appropriate moment to bring it up. He also would be the most reluctant to talk with Donnie thinking that talking to someone who is unconscious is stupid. We don't even see him talking to Leo, he just sits with him, but very little talking is done. He would be last as well giving the moment Donnie wakes up have an emotional impact.

Mikey would initiate it however since he's the care giver of the group, and he'd do anything to make sure his unconscious brother knew they were all there.

Leo I don't know if he's say he failed his brother, but certainly he would express that he feels lost without him or something along those lines.

Casey would apologize for being a jerk to him about April.

April would thank him for always being there for her, (maybe saying how she feels about him)

Splinter I can see remembering moments from Donnie's child hood or maybe a moment where Donnie comes to him and asks why the Bo staff chose him and Splinter replies "That is a journey you need to make on your own."

Or maybe one point where Donnie is expressing frustration about how his brothers are all excelling at their training but he feels like he's struggling. And Splinter implies that he's trying to hard to be like his brothers...when really he should consider who he is personally. Donnie is confuse by this and says he's a Ninja, but Splinter says that even ninja come in different types.

For Karai in the mean time, she is looking at the photo of her as a baby, and flashes back to Shredder telling her "Have you forgotten what Hamato Yoshi did to me...to us?" And the memories of Splinter telling her the story of what really caused her mothers death. And then finally she remembers Leo telling her a worm is controlling her. The conflicting emotions causes her to throw up the parasite and she squishes it in horrified disgust. Shredder opens the door to her room and so she quickly stashes the photo so he won't see it and feigns that she is still under the mind control. But as soon as he leaves she feels a tremendous since of guilt for what she has done to her true family and knows that once the Shredder knows she isn't under his control any longer he would likely kill her.

And later once she's free she will apologize to all of them for what she has done. And then she would likely say that she needs to go out and discover who she is as a person, because while the Shredder can't control her any longer his influence is still there. She needs to discover who she is as a person and not what the Shredder made her into. Leo isn't happy about this as this means losing her again. Splinter however understands and tells her there will be a place for her when she feels she is ready to return.

And alternative story that can still fit the context of a tales of situation is have the whole set up from post 298 on this thread.

http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showpost.php?p=1461120&postcount=298

However Donnie's not poisoned by Karai, he's just rendered unconscious and seriously wounded. Karai has him taken prisoner, but the situation is to harry for the Turtles to do anything but take April and Kirby and retreat to the lair. Raph is upset at Leo about forcing abandoning their brother. Leo insists he had no choice, it was either lose Donnie or lose everyone.

Kirby tells April they are going home. April however says "No, I'm staying here. Donnie is my friend and I can't just leave him." Splinter also says staying with them would be a good idea. Before they can come up with a plan on how to get Donnie back Foot Bots and Karai attack the lair. Karai says that she had hoped it didn't have to come to something as boring as this. The Turtles and company try to defend their home, but Karai has trouble bringing her self to kill Splinter. The Turtles get splinter, April, and Kirby all hop into the Party Wagon and escape. Raph is upset that they are abandoning their home. Mikey wonders if Donnie is already dead since Karai attacked them. April says she senses Donnie is still alive...at least for now

Leo states that Karai only sees them as a means to getting to Splinter. But Splinter feels that there is something in Karai that is breaking free and that may aid in Donatello's survival.

Karai finds the photo of Hamato Yoshi with her as a baby and that effects her reemerging memories. She at first looks as though she is going to destroy the photo, but instead tucks it away to deal with it later. Maybe she also finds a journal and flips through it, finding sketches of the Turtles growing up. (after all the only photo's they have are as they are currently, hinting that photos came after April)

They also find timothy and think he could be useful to the Shredder. Back at the Foot Headquarters, Stockman is tormenting Donnie about his predicament, maybe Rocksteady and Bebop as well. Shredder demands Karai tell him about why she brought the Turtle there. She tells her father that the other turtles would eventually come for their missing brother. So she needs them alive for that. And once she has all four Turtles and their human friends, she would kill them one by one letting Splinter suffer as he watches each member of his family die before his eyes.

Shredder is somewhat suspicious but does see the logic in that. Karai sit in her room looking at the photo of her family. Echo of Leo telling her She needs to know the truth about her real father and that the Shredder has been lying to her, her entire life.

Confused she goes to have a private talk with Donnie and asks him about what sort of person Splinter was. Though she does point out he shouldn't expect her to believe him...after all if he'd say anything to defend Splinter.

Donnie simply says he has nothing to gain by lying to her...and it's up to her if she wants to believe.
Donnie explains some childhood memories such as receiving his name, receiving his weapon. Karai maybe scoffs at that weapon origin memory and suggests perhaps even Splinter could see he was the weakest of the bunch. Why else would he give one of his sons a pacifists weapon?

Donnie just shrugs and says that their weapon wasn't given to them...their weapon chose them. He then points out that April's iron fan was originally meant to go to Splinter's infant daughter when she came of age. Karai gets frustrated because this isn't the man she pictured killing her mother. She then scoffs and says he tells a convincing story...to bad none of it was true.
As she leaves Donnie imparts that Splinter never forgot about her...and that he missed being able to watch her grow and become a Kunoichi.

Karai just tells him he doesn't know what he's talking about and if he tells her one more lie, she would personally cut out his tongue. Unbeknownst to her Shredder is watching.

At the farm house Leo questions Splinter if he was letting his brother down by bringing everyone here instead of finding someway to get him back. Splinter tells Leo that he did what he felt was best for his family, and sometimes the best decisions are painful. But allowing themselves to be captured would be a disservice to their brother. Instead they must recover themselves and have faith that he would be able to endure and return to them.

Everyone remembers memories of Donatello growing up each means something to them.

Mikey a memory of when Donnie had been there for him.

Leo a memory of time where Donnie had been helpful

Raph a memory of regret.

April and Casey might also have their memories. Kirby might still have his reservations about April's involvement with the Turtles, but he does seem to really grasp that they have his daughters best interests as heart.

As the same time while Splinter and everyone else is giving their memories, Karai is reading them in the journal. She reads it as a way to understand her enemy and his motives. And also to pacify any doubts she has which only makes her doubt the Shredder more. This causes her to throw up the parasite and squish it horrified disgust.

Shredder comes in to her room causing her to hurriedly hide the photo and the journal. She feigns that she is under his control and makes a supposedly convincing show of it. However as soon as he's gone, she goes out and makes her way to Baxters lab to free Donnie and get him out of there. Shredder catches her and calls her a disappointment. Karai is angry with him and says everything he's ever told her was a lie, to make her see her father and brothers were the enemy.

Shredder says he had hoped she would see reason, but now he sees she will have to suffer with the Turtles and has both Donnie and Karai imprisoned.

Tarris Vaal

As a thought - but particularly if following from a scenario like this, would Shredder ever lose faith in Karai returning to him so greatly he would actively kill her?

I'm just thinking that by this point he's already imprisoned her once, tried to reason with her, semi retromutated her, and now mind controlled her.

If she breaks free again, particularly whilst betraying him in a way like you suggest (by freeing Donnie for instance), would he simply decide that enough is enough - that if he cant have her as a daughter Splinter certainly wont.

I'm just wondering because I can imagine that scenario especially ending with Karai confronting a bitterly disappointed Shredder, only for him to literally cut her down in a shock ending.

As a thought - but particularly if following from a scenario like this, would Shredder ever lose faith in Karai returning to him so greatly he would actively kill her?

I'm just thinking that by this point he's already imprisoned her once, tried to reason with her, semi retromutated her, and now mind controlled her.

Yes I do think he would be done with her once he realizes she has broken free of the mind control. He's short sighted so he might not realize Karai has broken free as fast as I depicted, but Tiger Claw might and he would report her betrayal.

As you have pointed out he has raised her and manipulated her her whole life. When he learned She discovered the truth he imprisoned her.
He has tried to reason with her, to make her see that he only had her best interests as he sees them.
When she was rescued he banked on her returning to him out of vengeance.
Unintentionally mutated her when he was trying to double mutate Leo.
Restored her humanity...sort of and
Mind controlled her into following him.
There isn't much he can do beyond that.

I could see him telling Karai to slay Donnie or whoever as proof of her loyalty to him.

Karai however could turn the ultimatum and sacrifice herself to the Shredder and say she would willingly be his daughter if he let Donatello go free and he stop this vendetta against Splinter.

Shredder however is too invested in his desires for vengeance to agree to such a promise so he feels he has no choice but to end her existence. So in other words, if he can't have her...no one will.

Donnie said in Metalhead Rewired that he would recreate metal head again someday. And the recent arc with IDW has Donnie left mortally wounded. In an effort to prolong Donatello's survival, Professor Honeycutt (Aka the Fugitoid) downloads Donatello's consciousness into metalhead.

So maybe something like that here. We are given a situation roughly in season 4 or five where Donatello is wounded and believed to be dead. The Fugitoid however is able to detect a faint hint of life and transfers Donnie's consciousness to the new version of Metalhead that Donnie had been building.

Personally I would prefer a wounded Mikey over Don. Leo and Raph already got injured before (Leo in 2k12, and 2k3, Raph in the movies. And they were the most injured in cousin Sid) Don and Mikey weren't that injured but with Don's latest story in the comics, I think Mikey deserves a time. Though I don't really mind if it turned out to be Don. cause they are both the little brothers.

In every incarnation that the Fugitoid has always had a beneficial relationship with Don. Both as someone Donnie can relate to in science field and as a pacifist. And also as a mentor figure Donnie can turn to and learn from.

In this incarnation it looks like the Fugitoid would be getting a lot more involved in battles as he does have weapons he uses to help the Turtles stop the Triceratons.

He also maybe be helpful in helping April discover she is a Neutrino. And in helping Don discover and adapt to being a pacifist himself.

Generally Professor Honeycutt is a ghost in a machine as he is often destroyed on accident, but is fortuitously able to merge with his android assistant.

The reason I think this situation should occur with Don is that when he initially created Metalhead, it was meant to be substitute for him in battle.
And in the second season Metalhead did serve as a robo assistant for Donnie. So it would make sense to have Donnie building Metalhead 2.0 but end up having his consciousness loaded into it.

This could either be done accidentally such as April trying to control her powers and having them having them give a sudden blast (Ala eyes of the Chimera situation.) Donnie is hit by blast and loses consciousness. April and everyone else freaks out because he's not responding or waking up. Donnie in the meantime awakens in the body of Metalhead 2.0. and begins to freak out about that. Causing everyone to realize that Donnie's consciousness must have transferred to Metalhead and they turn the Fugitoid to return their brother back to his body again.

The other situation is if it deliberately done to save Donnie's life or the life of one of the Turtles. So yes it's possible they could have a situation where Donnie or Mikey is seriously wounded. In the case of Donnie I am assuming that Rockwell is the Harold of this series as Rockwell and Don are both intellectual rivals and friends. And both Donnie and Harold are intellectual rivals who are also on friendly terms. So if Donnie is seriously wounded to the point where not even the healing hands thing that Leo and Splinter can do is able to save him. I can see Fugitoid choosing to download Donnie's consciousness into the convenient spare body of metalhead.

However if it's Mikey who is seriously wounded, I can see Donnie offering to do whatever it takes to save his only little brother. And they could download Mikey's consciousness into Metalhead while Donnie helps make sure Mikey's body remains alive while it recovers from it's injuries.

Like I said, I believe Mike deserves an injured story line, but this idea is just freakin' awesome!! I really hope they'll so something like this in the real cartoon, either with Don or with Mikey. (Though I suppose Don makes more sense here)

A few months ago I speculated about how Leo is shown losing his swords in Return to New York and how that can be foreshadowing the loss of Donnie and Raph.

We know we are going to get a Tokka at some point, also the Turtles are going to return to Northhampton at some point soon.

We have three New Episodes coming up before San Diego Comic Con,
The first is Turtles in Time where Renet is introduced and takes the Turtles with her to fight Savantei Ramero.

The next episode is called Legend of the Yokai, in this episode the Turtles are sent to the past to encounter Oroku Saki before he became the Shredder. (and possibly set him on the path to becoming Shredder, unintentionally of course)

And the final episode is Mega Shredder. All we know about this episode is that Leo goes to face the Shredder alone.

So given what the Shredder has done with Karai, forced Karai to do to his brothers, and the events of Legend of the Yokai. Leo probably feels that Shredder has terrorized his family long enough and decides to take matters into his own hands and defeat Shredder once and for all.

The others realize what he's up to and rush to stop him, because if he acts on his own the only thing that would happen is that he would be killed. And they don't want to nearly lose him again. (Perhaps Karai attacks the lair driving the Turtles and Splinter out into the open.)

They arrive to help and see Leo about to be struck a serious blow. Donnie pushes Leo out of the way taking the blow himself, Raph sees this and becomes enraged and fights the Shredder head on. During the fight, Raph is knocked into the mutagen and double mutated into Tokka as he's being mutated we see clips of memories fading away as his mind becomes more and more savage and feral.

The Turtles are forced to retreat with April, Casey, and Splinter to the farm house as Donnie's injuries are serious and if they aren't tended to they could lose him. Raph in the mean time is secured and mind controlled into obeying the Shredder and given the name Tokka.

In the ride to North Hampton, Mikey or Casey asks about what they are going to do about Raph. Leo says the only thing they can do. Splinter tells his son's that Donatello needs a chance to recover first.

April probably mentions that Karai and Raph know where the Lair is, they probably are destroying Donnie's lab as they speak. Mikey then mentions he conveniently grabbed the Retromutagen that Donnie had been working on, just in case they were driven out of the city.

In the mean time Karai and Tokka get to the lair with the intent on destroying it. Tokka starts destroying the lab when he sees the photo wall in there and wonders why everyone in it looks familiar.

Karai on the other hand goes to the Dojo and finds the family picture with herself as a baby. She first looks like she is going to destroy the photo, but then instead tucks it beneath her armor. Before she starts destroying everything else.

would love if this happened although since mega shredder is in the title, its possible that raph ends up mutating w/ shredders body and shredder ends up being the 1 in control

Interesting idea, though this would mean merging 2 characters and effectively losing Raph from the show.

How about this>

Shredder is pressed into deciding that the path to victory now lies in mutating himself. (Perhaps he actually loses a fight with Leonardo and is forced to withdraw. The shame and bitterness pushes him to make the choice.)
He wants more control over his own mutation and has Baxter prepare a specially made mutagen that would retain his human form but massively increase his strength and endurance.

Baxter has, however, plans of his own and the serum he creates is deliberately sabotaged. Shredder, unaware of the treachery, lures the Turtles to a fight and mutates himself during it. The mutagen mutates Shredder to be stronger and faster but leaves him as a feral monster.

The Turtles are forced to withdraw as Shredder takes to the city. Without Shredder as lynchpin, the Foot clan effectively starts to come apart. Baxter escapes, Tigerclaw leaves with most of the mutants and Karai takes control of what little remains.

She offers Leo the chance to lead the Foot with her. He refuses.

Scorned, Karai chances across Raph. Raph has previously been scorned himself by Leo due to events prior (perhaps being forced to kill Slash/Tokka) and perhaps angry at how he was treated by Splinter following that confrontation. He offers to take the job. Karai is suspicious, but agrees. Raph becomes the new 'Shredder' beside Karai.

Super shredder escapes and falls into the hands of the newly returned Kraang. Capturing him, they restore his mind, and agree to help him regain control of his clan in exchange for his help returning them to Earth.

I don't know how about Karai being in control of the Foot, at least not at this time. The terms of the mind serum is that it forces her to follow Shredder's directions alone. And without the Shredder we don't know if those directions would still adhere. I can see her seizing control of the Foot Clan as she is technically heir since the Shredder claimed her as his daughter. So she could lead the Foot Clan in a more benevolent direction and thus associating the Hamato Clan with it. Rather then having Hamato Yoshi being involved with it from the beginning whether he be related to the founder or just a ninja associated with it. But that would be more when she has regained herself. Then again the mind control serum could make her even more dangerous as head of the Foot Clan, but Tiger Claw is second in command still so it is likely he would try and eliminate her as soon as possible since that worm in her ear makes her more of a liability.

I was thinking perhaps if Shredder were to be taken out, Karai would make it her mission to find him and restore him (in a scenario like this anyway). If she knew she couldnt do it alone - such as if the Foot's heavy hitters were to leave - I was thinking it was a likely scenario she would turn to Leo first to help. Possibly reasoning that a berserk Shredder is a threat to everyone, and better he be restored than left to run rampant. Leo would see it that Shredder is better dead, and knowing Karai's intent would refuse the offer.
An aggrieved Raph, on the other hand, might be willing to consider a brief alliance - though in his mind it would be to kill Shredder with Karai assisting.

Mega Shredder- Leo goes into the Shredder's lair alone. We don't have word that the Mutanimals, or Leo's bros are prisoners of the Shredder or effected by the Shredder in any way. So we have to assume that Leo is taking matters into his own hands and going to end the Shredder once an for all so he is no longer a cancer upon his family. The other turtles and Splinter realize what Leo is going to do and go after him knowing that the only thing that will happen is he gets himself killed. The others arrive and help fight the Foot Clan. During the fight, Donnie notices Leo is being over powered and is about to be delivered blow that could prove fatal. Not wanting a repeat of what happened to Leo during the Invasion, Donnie pushes Leo out of the way and takes the blow himself.

Future events with the Pulverizer. Pulverizer now works for the Shredder so he can destroy Donnie for betraying him along with the Turtles, as well as April and Casey. Donnie later tells his brothers he had taken Timothy on as a student that first time they met him. The others are shocked he would do this (Raph: Seriously, what were you thinking?!) Donnie says he knows Timothy is his responsibility and he will do what needs to be done. He eventually is forced to slay Timothy to save his family or reluctantly comes to the conclusion there is no hope for him. Or Donnie uses the retromutagen he made for Karai on Timothy instead hoping it could restore him and finally end this. Unfortunately it violently reacts to the the Mutagen that makes up Timothy's body destroying him. Donnie is distraught by this event because he's now responsible for a death. The others are concerned about Donnie as he is rather down about what happened. Splinter then tells sons that Donatello is going through an emotional change and it's best to let their brother have his space for now.

Last shot ends with Donnie's bedroom, you see his bo staff and purple mask leaning against the wall and a note on the bed indicating that he has run away from home.

I would love something to happen when leo decides to go alone to the Shredder, like he goes to the Shredder alone and his brothers needs to help him out, and eventually one of his little brothers get hurt because of his actions. (him going to the Shredder when it isn't really necessary)
I hope either Don or Mikey because those are the 'little brothers', it would be fun if it would be Don, because he was the guilty one in S2 final when Leo got hurt.

Shredder is about to land a finishing blow on Leo when Donnie pushes Leo out of the way. Donnie stands before the Shredder Naginata drawn and says "Keep away from my brother!"

Shredder finds some amusement in the fact that Donnie wants to take him on and assumes he even has a chance. Everyone else is dealing with the rest of the Foot mutants and Karai volunteers to take care of him.

As they fight Karai taunts Donatello about how weak he is as a fighter and that his skills are pathetic. And if he was part of the Foot Clan he would have been executed long ago after all the weak are meant to be crushed.

In the battle the Shredder is sent falling into the mutagen everyone watches in stunned horror when he leaps out more monster then man but still with what shreds of humanity that he still has left.

He knocks aside Splinter and tells him that he shall watch his sons fall one by one and prepares to slay Leo. Donnie see this and knocks Karai aside before he rushes to Leo and pushes him out of harms way taking the blow himself.

The other Turtles and company are horrified at this. Leo, Raph, and Mikey, rush over to tend to and defend their fallen brother. Splinter attacks Shredder, April and Casey also rush to Donnie's side to see if he's alright, Karai jumps in front of them and tells April she still has a score to settle. April's eyes narrow as she says "So do I." She then proceeds to use her mind powers to bring forth Karai's suppressed memories of the Turtle during the brief time they had welcomed her as one of them, Splinter calling her his daughter. She however isn't able to bring forth all of Karai's memories before Tiger Claw attacks them. The turtles escape to the farm house so they can lick their wounds and regroup

Karai puts on show to indicate where her loyalty is, declaring that the Turtle's, their friends, and master are to be apprehended. Stockman is to make efforts into restoring her father's humanity. Tiger Claw mentions to Shredder that he has some concerns about Karai's loyalty. But Shredder states he has full control over her life and her mind, so her loyalty is absolute.

In reality when Karai is alone she struggles with the memories that April has dredged up and recalls Leo telling her a worm is controlling her.

Good Genes Arc

How I think it could be done by Nick.

The Turtles encounter a group of outbreak mutants. One of whom is a human who has become mutated in an encounter with them. During the battle, Donnie is stung by one of them. No one thinks anything of it and just assumes its a scratch.

Later on Donnie starts showing signs things are not well. He's disoriented during training, and not all that focused on any projects that he's trying to do in the lab. He also starts getting a lot more irritable then normal. This quickly comes to the attention and concern of the other Turtles and family. Raph and Casey assume that Donnie working too hard in his lab. Leo assumes it's just a cold and insists that Donnie should just get some rest. Both Splinter and April sense this isn't a normal cold but particularly since it has gone on for several weeks and they have noticed he's running a rather high temperature. Mikey is the only one who feels something is seriously wrong with Donnie.

While he is conveying this they hear Donatello scream out which turns into a feral sounding growl. The door to Donnie's bedroom flies off it's hinges an a large mutant turtle comes out of the room. Everyone readies their weapons ready to defend themselves from the beast. As it approaches Mikey stops everyone. April is also able to sense Donnie's presence is still there and agrees with Mikey. Casey gets clocked clear across the room when he foolishly attacks the creature. The creature is able to retain enough of his mind to realize he is too much of a danger to his family and runs out of the lair. Raph checks Donnie's room and finds their brother is missing. He angerly says what he's going to do to that creature for what it did to Donatello. Casey also wants another crack at that creature as well. April however says the creature was Donatello. This shocks everyone. Splinter tells his remaining children to go after their brother before he poses a danger to someone else or worse yet himself.

Leo feels they should talk to the Mutanimals first because they are going to need some serious muscle with them.

Dr. Rockwell examines the bandages that Donnie had on when the transformation occurred. He explains that the outbreak mutagen in Donnie blood stream is at war with his already mutated DNA. The illness Donnie was suffering from was likely a catalyst for the mutation to take place. Regretfully Rockwell says that it is likely he won't be able to cure him.

In the mean time there are reports in the city about sightings of a large mutant Turtle. April is with Raphael and Casey in the party wagon, Slash and Leatherhead work together to taken Donatello down and force him into a containment unit

Splinter is heart broken at seeing one of his sons trapped in the form of a Monster. April also has a hard time seeing Donatello in this condition and comments that she could feel him slowly slipping away from them. Mikey is devastated by this and begs Donnie to keep holding on, they would find a way to return him to normal. Leo agrees that they would do whatever it took, they owed him that much.

The mutanimals are camped in the lair, Rockwell continues to try and find a cure without much success. And whats worse is he discovers Donnie's mutant cells are breaking down and if he isn't cured soon he would die in that form.

Leo refuses to let that happen, but he's at a loss as to what should be done. April then remembers Donatello has said the outbreak mutagen was man-made. Perhaps the Bishop has the answers they are looking for.

Bishop doesn't have a cure and demands to know why he should help them. The Turtles explain that the outbreak effects both humans and mutants alike. So if there isn't a way to cure their brother, they should at least work together to figure out a way to do so. Bishop agrees to this so long as April allows him an opportunity to study her DNA. Casey is confused by this and the Turtles are hesitant about allowing it. April agrees to it reluctantly telling them this could be their only chance to help Donnie.

Rockwell looks over the notes taken and discovers what is needed to develop a cure. Casey asks April why Bishop wanted to study April's DNA. April tells him that she has Kraang DNA in her blood, that's why she has psychic powers. Casey is taken aback by this and astounded that the Turtles knew. April says it's not something she has really accepted.

The cure is administered to Donatello and the rest of the city. Slash carries and unconscious Donatello from the EPF complex and places him in his fathers arms. As the Turtles take off in the party wagon. Donnie slowly regains consciousness earning him a hug from a relieved Mikey and even more relieved April. Everyone else is overjoyed to that Donatello is back to normal. Casey however is still upset that April hadn't been honest with him about being part alien as he drives everyone back to the city.

Since were are going to get a humans vs. Mutants plot line late next season, perhaps we may see groups like HAVOC.

I know the one off stories aren't popular, but they can be good if done well they could be enjoyable.

So it could be possible to do a Nick Version of the episode H.A.T.E. from the 2k3.

The Turtles have been exposed to the media and Mutants are being hunted through out New York. The Turtles have left for break at the farm house so they can recover from the stress this is causing them and figure out what they need to do.

Donnie has grown quiet and keeps to himself much of the time.

Mikey is happy to help and tries to keep things optimistic

Raph tries to be there for his brothers however possible. But at the same time struggling with the injustice about how they save the lives of every human on several occasions, and all they get repaid with is contempt and fear.

Leo is determined to face whatever challenges may come, and while he doesn't expect the world would willingly accept them for what they are. He wants to prove that not all mutants are the monsters humans believe them to be.

Splinter has accepted that this is a new challenge in their lives and that they would have to face it as it comes.

One morning April is out with the Turtles picking peaches (or Apples, oranges) from the orchard that is on the farms property. A wounded man (Michael Murphy) runs out of the woods and passes out. Michael awakens and freaks out because he's surrounded by mutants. April and Casey calm him down and tell him that the Turtles are the good kind of mutants. Donnie asks permission to examine Michael's injuries.

Michael is dubious about mutants being good but allows Donnie to examine his injuries only. While Donnie is doing this he informs them that he was part of a malita group called "Human's Against Revolting Mutants" or H.A.R.M. Unfortunately Skonk their leader is planning to unleash a nuke in New York City...to deal with the mutant problem. While Michael feels that mutants should be dealt with, he doesn't want to kill innocent men, women, and children in order to do it. When he objected to the plan they tried to silence him so he wouldn't report them to the authorities.

They hear voices approaching and Michael freaks out knowing that is the rest of his militia buddies and they are coming to finish him off. The Turtles tell April and Casey to get the wounded man to the nearest hospital. In the mean time they would fend off the Militia supporters.

The malitia supporters continue looking for their insubordinate. One of them mentions there is a farm house near by. And poses the possibility that Michael could have talked to the people living there. Skonk, says they would kill everyone in the farm house if needed to keep 'em from talking.

The malitia is confronted by the Turtles and chased away. Skonk wants to deal away with the Turtle mutants. He has some of his followers Chet, Spuds, and Puke to spy on the Turtles and they learn the "Mutant Scum" live in the farm house with a human boy and girl. Skonk sends his followers to eliminate the mutants and the two traitors.

The Turtle in the mean time discuss what should be done about the bomb. Raph says Donnie would take care of it. Donnie however speaks up and and says no.

Casey and Raph starts to tell Donnie off for being a coward. Donnie however says he doesn't want the bomb to go to New York. But he's never dealt with a nuke before. If he dismantles it wrong, the thing could explode and cause a radioactive hot zone. Casey points out that he has to deal with the bomb because it could cause New York city and all it's inhabitants (some of which are friends of theirs) to be blown off the map.

Chet, Spuds, Puke and Bubba go face the Turtles at the house. During the battle, Spuds and Puke grab April and Casey. Tie them up and put them in the back of the van carrying the nuke saying they would fry with the Mutant Scum living in the city.

The other Turtles race after the van in the Party Wagon, Donnie, Raph, and Mikey jump out of the party wagon and and into the van with the nuke. Raph to deal with Skonk and Spuds. Mikey and Donnie deal with Puke and Bubba as well as freeing April and Casey. Donnie tells Mikey to take April and Casey and get them to safety, he would try to defuse the bomb. Mikey, April, and Casey object but Donnie insists Raph gets Spuds out of the van, but Skonk shakes Raph off before he can get him out.

The Turtles and co quickly pile into the party wagon and race after the van. Skonk plows straight into mountain wall causing the bomb to explode destroying the van and himself. Everyone is horrified and thinks Donnie was killed in the explosion. However Donnie appears very shaken and badly banged up...but alive. He reveals he didn't disable the bomb, but removed the plutonium core at the last moment before jumping out.

Back at the farm house Casey tells everyone that Michael had explained everything to the police, Spuds, Chet, Puke, and Bubba and the other militia members were arrested.

Splinter goes up to Donnie's room to see how he's doing. Donnie insists he's fine, he just has trouble accepting this victory. While the out come was good, and the person at the head of it was a flawed individual. But he was still an individual who was doing what he believed was a greater good.

Re: The Good genes idea - would definitely work, though I wonder if they would wait that long to mention to Casey about April's half kraang status...

Would it work better if they used that concept as a means of introducing Bishop? Have it turn out that the origin of these strange mutants and the disease afflicting Don turns out to be man made - and an attempt to discredit the turtles and mutants in general (especially as even Muckman has been accepted by the city as a 'hero')

As for the HARM idea... A rogue anti mutant militia might be an interesting ep - though I doubt they'd have acquired something quite as potent as a Nuke - and it'd be hard to squeeze a threat that significant into a one shot episode...

Maybe if it was just a kind of pseudo organised lynch mob? They could capture Mikey and try to use him to lure out the others, forcing a confrontation? The Turtles have to not only rescue their brother without harming him, but also without harming the humans (as it would only make matters worse).

Raph could be struggling with his anger over how they're being treated, whilst Donnie's advising caution and Leo's struggling to find a way to negotiate. Whilst the theme might be a little 'adult'/'dark' overall, you could alleviate that a bit by making the Militia members a little more comical (a bit like the Dream Beavers episode)

I agree a nuke can be a little dark for the show. And even the guy killing himself trying to take the Turtles with him for his cause.

I mean i know it's implied that he died, but leave it open for parents to say "No sweety, he jumped out at the last minute."

But that was of sorts what H.A.T.E. literally wanted to do in the 2k3. Nuke New York city so that get rid of all the aliens. So I thought they'd do the same thing with wanting to get rid of all the mutants.

Having April and Casey get captured and thrown in with the bomb might be too much. Maybe have a moment where April and Casey are visiting Michael Murphy in the hospital. April tells them that four certain friends of theirs did offer their concerns.

Murphy tell them he's talked to the police about what his friends were planning. April nods before saying she understands that with all that has been going on, the concept of good mutants might feel far fetched. And yes there are a number of bad mutants out there, but there are good ones as well.

At the end Murphy arrives at the farm house to thank April, Casey, and the Turtles for helping him. He's still unsure about mutants in general, but he's going to trust that not all mutants are bad.

April didn't seem like she liked the fact that she had physical association with the Kraang. It's certainly a big deal to her, but if it's something she can avoid as much as possible. Since we have the Triceraton's and the Kraang sort of returning we will probably revisit that or Casey would be informed that April is part Kraang.

As for Good Genes being an introduction to Bishop. In the 2k3 Bishop is introduced when the Triceraton's are invading the Earth, and even though the Turtles had never met him, he some how knows all about them.

The Outbreak is an unforeseen problem caused by a fake Alien Invasion that Bishop creates to get more funding.

And I remember he was trying to use a bone saw to vivisect Mikey. And he comments that normally anesthetic is used, but it affects his research so he wasn't going to use it.

When Bishop shows, yes there should be an issue between Bishop and Raph. Because anyone who deliberately desires to hurt his brothers in any way is on his scum list.

And Donnie would see him as an intellectual enemy because both of them do used science and technology for the betterment of the world and save it from extraterrestrial threats. Bishop also does use scientific research as an excuse for torture.

While Donnie prefers to leave any studies or things involving another living creature to as minimal a level as possible.

I think the 'losing intelligence' part will be more akin to that one episode from the FW series, Leonardo Lightens Up, in which it's going to be more of a wacky "character gets a personality shift, shenanigans ensue, then gets turned back by the end of episode" rather than something played up to be serious such as Good Genes where Donnie lost more than intelligence when he double-mutated and it lasted for two episodes. Not counting the build-up it had prior. Unless he becomes more than whom I've already dubbed 'Dumb Donnie,' I remain doubtful this'll be anything more than a silly "Don acts like Mikey for a bit due to an accident."

I came up with this plot for the original episode idea thread. Here's and updated version of the plots.

April, Donnie, and Casey are with Kirby while the other Turtles our doing their part of the mission and will rendezvous with their brother and friends shortly. Kirby asks Donnie to help him with something in the basement. Not having any reason not to trust the older man, Donnie follows.

When they reach the basement, Kirby says "I'm sorry about this, Donatello." Before Donnie can ask what he means, he is hit with a tranq dart and quickly falls under it's affects. Dirk Savage appears and thank Dr. O'Neil for performing his duty as a citizen of the city. a couple of EPF soldiers carry Donnie away and puts him in the back of a van to be carried off somewhere. Kirby informs Dirk that Donnie's brothers would be arriving shortly. Dirks tells the EPF to take Donatello to a secure location.

Kirby joins his daughter and Casey upstairs when the Turtles show up. Kirby informs them of what their brother is doing. Mikey however senses the lie and demands to know what the older man had done with his brother. April is taken aback at this thinking Mikey is acting out of character. Mikey however says that Kirby is lying to them about Donatello. April doesn't want to believe it and even tells Mikey to stop making up lies about her father.

Kirby however knows that he can no longer maintain the lie and says "I'm sorry April, I had to do it."

April is taken aback by this just as several EPF soldiers burst in intending to take the other turtles captive. Turtles retreat with Casey. Kirby tries to stop April, but she says she can't believe he would do something like this before racing after her friends.

Since time travel has officially been introduced, I was thinking Same As It Never Was being adapted into a story arc of 5 episodes. Granted that's pretty impossible, but wishful thinking. Granted I only made two episode this far, but hey it's still progress. :)

Episode 1- The Turtles land in New York for the first time in a while, but Renet is unable to help them this time around. She's forced to leave for a while to regain her strength, leaving the Turtles confused on what's going on. They look over the city, seeing the people as slaves and it in ruins. Someone then spots them, leaving them confused on what's happening leading them to run away.

They then find Slash and at first all seems well. However, Slash ends up attacking Raphael for no reason at all, leading to the other three to prepare to fight. Before they can, Mondo Gecko, Leatherhead, and Rockwell arrive and they easily overwhelm the group. Following a brutal beating, they are forced to retreat, completely shocked and angry over what happened.

During this, they encounter this universe's version of Pete, who's much more timid and has multiple scars. Shielding himself, the Turtles reveal they aren't from this timeline. Surprised, Pete smiles for the first time since what happens and fills them in. He then recaps in a massive flashback, where he says he knows this because of him watching from above. (Flashback is also shown in near entirety, not just simple showing)

In this universe, Shredder has completed the mind-control serum and has blasted the entire city with it. His first ORDER is convincing everyone that all mutants are evil and orders for all to look out. Destruction to the city then occurs and nobody is aware that Shredder is the cause of it, where he places the blame on the Turtles. Exposing the world to them, he shows them as the cause for all this and presses them, Splinter, April, and Casey as public enemies. Anyone who also dares to rebel will be executed. With the news of them spreading across New York, they force April, Casey, and Splinter to escape the city for their safety. Willing to protect New York, they head out and contact their allies to be safe (Donnie also leaves blueprints for a new Metalhead for Rockwell to make), where they go into an alleyway where they are caught.

The Foot Clan then arrives, with hundreds of soldiers and bots popping up in the area. At first, the Turtles fight bravely and are able to hold their own for a while. However, Baxter Stockman, Tiger Claw, Fishface, Rahzar, Bebop, and Rocksteady all arrive. Stockman, Rahzar, and Fishface are easily defeated but the other three take more time to beat, with the Turtles becoming worn out from the fight. Shredder then arrives and the Turtles are easily defeated, knocked to the brink of death. Their fate is left unknown for now during this arc and Pete wishes to intervene but is caught and forced to fly away.

The Mutanimals are furious over these laws and both Slash and Leatherhead are upset over this. At this time, the Mutanimals bring in a homeless Mondo Gecko to train him and tend to him. Leatherhead and Slash train the teenager in fighting while Rockwell upgrades the skateboard and completing a new Metalhead in case the worse comes up. With all the plans set in motion, they head out to fight, but despite their preparations, they are defeated and captured again.

Brought to Baxter for experimenting, the five are set up to be mind-controlled, where the Mutanimals are set to turn into mercenaries, carrying out the executions and hunts for rebels. In a fit of desperation, Rockwell (he's transformed third) fires a blast at the Foot and frees Pete so there's still hope.

The remainder of the episode is planning how to fight back with the Mutanimals locating them, ending the episode with a fight about TO BEGIN.

Episode 2- Continuing from last time, Pete and the Turtles are battling the Mutanimals. This time around, they are able to best Rockwell and Leatherhead, but the other two retreat, hoping to take them down later. They then decide to go back up to see if anything has changed.

Meanwhile, we cut to the city again with Rahzar and Tiger Claw hunting for rebels. Rahzar is able to find Murakami and is about to silt him until a magical blast goes off. Sir Malachi appears out of nowhere, showing New York still is being fought for. Rockets are also fired, with a new improved Metalhead appearing. Malachi previously found Metalhead before in the sewers while on the run and reactivates him. Tiger Claw is enraged at this and attempts to attack both, but a grenade is thrown, causing the mutants to retreat. Arriving following the fireworks, the five meet up with the two and they reveal they've been led into fighting due to the absence of the Mutanimals. Suddenly, a completely masked person drops down and they begin to attack the Turtles. (commercial break)

This masked figure fights harshly and is able to knock down the Turtles due to his fighting style of weapons. Donnie is knocked down and the figure attempts to choke him to death until Metalhead forces him to get off as it is his master. He blames them for causing all this happening and Raph knows who's voice it is. It's revealed that it's Casey leading a rebellion against the Foot and proving his own innocence too. He's angry that they forced him behind and has a bit of distrust in a sudden return. Curious, Leo asks what happened to Splinter and April if they are still alive too, leading to another major flashback.

Casey reveals that when he, April, and Splinter are attempting to escape underground through the Shellraiser, a few unknown figures attacked them. April and Casey are bested and Splinter is able to hold them down for a while. One of the figures fires an energy blast attempting to kill Splinter, but April takes the hit instead. Another blast is attempted but April uses her Kraang abilities to cause the blast to go somewhere else, hitting the upper part of the lair. Deciding it's best for them to go without her, she uses her powers to keep the beings at bay in an attempt to beat them. Splinter forces himself to go, understanding what she has planned, but Casey doesn't want to leave. Following a goodbye kiss, he's dragged out by Splinter as they both watch in sadness the collapse of the lair and the death of their friend. Following their escape, Casey tells Splinter to run as he's a much more wanted man than he is. When asked what he has planned, Casey retorts he's fighting back, leaving the sensei behind.

The fate of Splinter is also left in the unknowing right now. With a new trio of allies to combat the Foot, they form an alliance to end the destruction. Pete decides to join up with the group to even their odds. Deciding to split up, it is decided the Turtles will work on a device to save the citizens while Casey's group goes out to continue the fight for freedom. We see a little more action for Casey's group as they are ambushed by a few Foot-Bots before cutting back to the Turtles as they attempt to hide some place to work on the invention to bring back the citizens' minds.

Hearing Donnie's voice of saying they're doomed, Raph hits him, but says it wasn't him. The two begin to argue over the uncalled for hit when Michelangelo breaks it up. Though peace is made, their voices are still going off, but it isn't them. When Leo yells at them to get their acts together, he then looks up as he hears a similar voice to his. Wondering where it came from, he looks up and is horrified at what he sees above in the form of four shadowy figures.

Completely shocked, they see another set of Turtles revealed to be the four that were supposedly killed. At first, Mikey attempts to greet them, but Dark Raph (or Mikey) attacks the youngest brother. It is revealed they have fallen under the serum and are seated as the best of the Foot Clan. What leads into is a massive fight with Turtle on Turtle actions, but the dark counterparts easily best them in this period due to their advanced training. The episode ends with the Dark Turtles about to kill the heroes, with Dark Leonardo saying to his younger counterpart “Do you love being a Turtle now?”

Now, to discuss the appearances of the Dark Turtles, they'd be based on different incarnations. However, they also address each other by full name (like the Fred Wolf Turtles) and are wearing their red masks. (Mirage Comics)

Leonardo- Dark Leo outfit from Cityfall with a scar across Leo's face and metal hand. (IDW Comics/ Image Comics)

Raphael- Nightwatcher-like armor with Shredder gauntlets. (TMNT and Image/2003)

Donatello- Covered in cybernetics. (Image Comics)

Michelangelo- Turtle Titan outfit with an eye patch and torn mask. (2003 series)

Interesting story GM. I can certainly see something of this scale. However while I understand people wanting a same as it never was situation it has mostly been successful in a media settings by focusing on Donnie.

Not to be an over zealous Donnie fan, but Same as it Never Was and Good Genes does illustrate how the team is really affected with Donnie's absence.

Currently in the IDW the Turtles still have Donnie with them in an aspect, but they are still struggling to a degree.

Creeping Doom also showed the Turtles Struggling in battle with Donnie's unfortunate state of mind.

And in Good Genes, Leo does state to Splinter that he is at a loss for what should be done in that situation, and also states in the cold opening that if the outbreak mutation had happened to anyone else, they would have looked to Don for a cure.

In Same as it Never Was
When present day Donnie encounters Mikey, Mikey has essentially become Raph 2.0 and basically tells Donnie that after he vanished they had tried to keep fighting, but gradually everything fell apart. And he punctuates this statement by saying "Looks like we needed your level head after all..."

Now I'm not saying the other turtles couldn't be sent to the future. But the outcome will be different depending.

With Mikey absent for X number of decades.
The other turtles would have given up on fighting. Mikey is their cheerleader, whenever any of them are down he picks them back up. He is their hope, and his innocents reminds them all of what they are fighting for.

With Raph being absent.
The other Turtles would be just battle hardened and world weary, but also carry the loss of Splinter and one brother would also be dead. And if not dead certainly left in a state where he is not able to fight
Raph is their protector and muscle of the family. When one of the brothers is in serious danger, Raph is the one who jumps in to help. Raph who watches over them when they were sick or injured, and helps them get back into shape.

With Leo absent, the Turtles would have just all gone their separate ways. Or they would have been scattered and taken out one by one.

While we don't know what occurred over the three months the Turtles had been in Northampton, one would think that there would be family plan of how long they intended to sit and wait for Leo to wake up. But instead we only see them hanging out at the Farm House like nothing is going on. Eventually there would come a point where one of the Turtles, if not April or Casey would begin to ask how long they were going hide out at the farm house. Because while they are waiting for Leo to wake up, there are innocent people who are suffering at the hands of the Kraang which includes their parents and siblings, and New York can't afford to wait.

In 2k3 there is also a short arc where Leo is away in Japan, and after two months Karai arrives at the Lair to get revenge on the Turtles for her father's imprisonment. With their home being destroyed around them, the remaining Turtles scatter themselves around the city and all of them are supposedly killed. (They all survive of course, but it easily could have been a different out come)

With Donnie's absence, things would gradually begin to fall apart. First it would be appliances like the water heater, oven, or TV. It's assumable that Donnie is expected to fix it if anything happens. But then something like the Shellraiser breaks down or is damaged, Donnie runs systems on the Shellraiser so he's keeps everything up and running.

Leo-Driver
Mikey-Navigation
Raph-Weapons
Donnie-Systems.

Then finally they whole family would fall apart. Leo and Raph would be constantly at each others throats. And yes Donnie's disappearance would be brought up in some of their arguments.

Raph: If you were a better leader, Donnie wouldn't have disappeared.

After all in SaiNW Mikey is the only one who is angry at Don. Both Leo and Raph are surprised and glad to see him. So that suggests to me that Leo and Raph knew what happened to Donnie, but didn't tell Mikey because the truth would be more damaging then covering it up as a disappearance.

Donnie in various incarnations would step in and mediate arguments between Leo and Raph. Or at the very least try and keep Mikey and himself at a safe distance and let things run their course. Donnie in a way acts like a buffer zone for Mikey during the arguments because he has someone to sympathize with about said events. Without Donnie, the arguments would have a painful emotional impact on Mikey's psyche.

And then finally everyone just goes their separate ways. They would continue fighting, because that is all they can do...but at the same time there is a mentality that just says "What's the point?"

Also SaiNW does have an emotional impact as well that did deserve and aftermath event aside from Don hugging Raph and Mikey and saying "Yay, your alive and young again."

Now if it had been the other three who were sent to the Future with Donnie left behind, that would also be a serious story line. Donnie is affected by his brothers, particularly their absence. Take for example how devastated Donnie had been when his brothers had been possessed by Ho Chan.

Splinter I can see being overly protective of his remaining son as he has said his sons are the only thing he has left. Donnie would feel a heavy sense of loss with his brothers gone. Perhaps drifting around the lair as though looking for them. Eventually his brothers absence would grate upon him to the point where he feels someone needs to pay for what happened to his family. Given he is a gentlehearted personality he creates a second personality to disassociate himself from what he feels needs to be done.

However in the IDW there was a Same as it Never Was plot where all of the Turtles are in that future. It's here they encounter an elderly version of Donnie who tells them that the only reason he still exists is because he gave up on being a ninja. And then after they were returned home to their time, Donnie has a point where does admit he had thought about quitting. And while he's trying to explain his reasons for doing so he says "I don't know why, but you guys all died because of me."

I probably posted this already, but I'm too lazy to check.
I'd really like an episode completely from the perspective of Shredder's henchmen. Like the TF: Prime episode Thirst.

(sees above post) Oh my gosh he's back! :)

VA, I get that, but the idea is very rarely explored whenever we anyone not Donnie or Leo vanished. We've seen both these two, but the goal of the story is to explore the one possibility if the Turtles are in over their heads with their confidence and how far that confidence can be a good or bad thing. We've seen it in the Nick show with plenty of other episodes, notably the Gauntlet and Mutation Situation coming to mind.

Depending on how I'd place an episode arc of this caliber, it that possibility of possibly beating Shredder, returning with a vengeance for all they've done to screw him. That mind control plot I want the city transformed one or another, why mention it as a possibility in Casey vs the Underworld and not use it like the other two options of Karai and themselves?

And like you said and how I mentioned it, this idea can work for Donnie as he's the most likely responsible for the cause of that universe's April, imagine the heartbreak from that...

Now I'm just rambling with time travel problems, the point is to not only push the heroes into difficult territory, but their own shadows within these Dark Turtles. Basically, a what if scenario where Shredder has not only New York like in other versions, but the very things he despised as actual warriors.

My guess is if April is abducted and made into Karai 2.0 it could go like this.
April and Casey are hanging out together on their way to the lair. Casey notices April has been unusually quiet and asks what's going on. April mentions she's been doing some thinking about them. Casey thinks this means she's taking this to mean that she's interested in going to the next level. April starts to explain but before they can do so they are jumped by Bebop and Rocksteady.

The gruesome twosome take April captive and seriously injure Casey. Casey manages to contact the Turtles before he loses consciousness. The turtles find him and bring him back to the lair.

In the mean time April is unconscious and strapped to a table in Stockman's lab. Tiger Claw has doubts about this task since it has failed in the Mutanimals, Raphael, and Karai. Shredder insists that while he still considers Karai as his daughter, she has proven to be a force he can no longer control. April however would serve as a greater weapon against the Turtles. Stockman administers the ear worm. April regains consciousness as it burrows it's way into her ear. She lets loose several minds blasts but succumbs to the worm.

Casey wakes up and tells the turtles April had been captured by Rocksteady and Bebop. The Turtles leave Casey at the lair, while they themselves infultrate Shredder's lair. The turtles slit off into two groups one to the dungeon, the other to Stockman's lab.

Leo and Raph check the dungeon and encounter Tiger Claw, Rocksteady, and Bebop. Donnie and Mikey enter stockman's lab and see April struggling against the straps binding her to the table. Donnie's about to jump down to help her, but Mikey tells him something is off. The two sneak down when Rahzar and Fishface attack them. Donnie takes out fishface while Mikey is holding off Rahzar.

Donnie approaches April who is glad to see them. Donnie cuts her bindings, pulling out his T-phone he is sending a text message to Raph and Leo to let them know they have April and are on their way, when he's attacked from behind. April smiles evilly and tells him about how he made it too easy for her. Mikey sees this and rushes to his brothers aid. He also calls Leo about what's going down. But the only thing he can say is "Donnie's hurt....April" before he is cut off.

Leo and Raph arrive at the lab and see Mikey and April fighting. Mikey is pleading with April saying they were her friends. When the others show up April evily taunts them and says "Give my regards to Karai." Mikey and Leo rushes to Donnie's side to see if he's okay, Raph eyes rest on where April had left and one had instinctively goes to his sai.

Back at the lair everyone is distraught by this turn of events. Leo tells everyone that they would find a way to break the Shredder's control over April, but as of now she is their enemy and should be treated as such. Casey asks about Donnie. Raph sighs and says his physical injuries will heal, but the other injuries he sustained....they may never truly heal.

As Raph's speaks the camera pans over Donnie who is being comforted by Mikey. On Donnie's bedside table is the music box Donnie had built for April long ago and April's tessen sits half folded beside it.

Kirby is protective of April and desperately wants to keep her safe. And it feels like every time when she's with the Turtles she is placed in danger. It also doesn't help that he himself has been abducted, mutated, and abducted on top of being mutated. He's also not exactly blind to Donnie's feelings for April which also makes him even more uneasy about his daughters relationship with the Turtles.

In a misguided attempt to separate the Turtles from April's life, he sides with the EPF's anti-mutant task force. While Donnie is with April and Casey waiting for the other Turtles to return. Kirby convinces Donnie to follow him. Not having any reason not to trust Kirby, Donnie follows only to get jumped by Dirk Savage or Bishop and the EPF.

The other Turtles arrive at April's apartment. When Kirby gives a cover story for Donnie's absence, Mikey suddenly gets hostel and demands to know what Kirby really did with their brother. April, Raph, and Casey all think Mikey is acting unreasonable. Mikey brings up the time he had said something was wrong about Mom thing and none of them believed him only for him to have been right all along.

April refuses to believe Mikey until Kirby admits what mikey says was indeed true

The turtles are surrounded at all sides in a battle against Dregg, who has unleashed a host of Vreen warriors, and bounty hunters including Armaggon and the Triceratons.

Their engine suffers heavy damage, but needs to still evade enemy fire. Knowing that they would all die if something isn't done, Donnie slips out of the bridge and goes to the engine core which is filled poisonous gas. Donnie manages to fix the engine core stabilizing the engine, but he succumbs to the poisoned gas.

Everyone is glad when the ship stabilizes, until Casey notices Donnie is missing. This brings majority of the group to realizes that Donnie must have been the one who stabilized the engine. Racing to the engine, Leo braves the poison gas to pull his dying brother out. Donnie is unconscious and barely breathing, so he needs to be brought to sick bay at once.

Raph seethes in anger before he angerly yells "DREGG!!!!!"

I agree it could work well for Mikey. But there have been numerous points that have foreshadowed that Mikey would mutate.

Suggesting they drink mutagen in season 1, rubbing failed retromutagen on himself and later nearly falling into mutagen in season 2. Mikey and Leo suspended over a vat of mutagen. And of course the Flush-o-matic which would dump Mutagen all over Mikey.

But Donnie's had a lot of foreshadowing towards a possible death or self sacrifice. Such as the Times's he's nearly stabbed by Shredder, Electrocuted, or smacked to the side as if he was nothing more then an insect which are numerous occasions.

The time he and Leo are thrown off a roof season 1.
Severely beaten up by another mutant season 1.
Knocked out of the way of kraang fire when he gets distracted by April being in danger. Season 1
Bitten by Zombie Leo and nearly devoured by mutant wasp. season 1
Crashes season 1

Knocked out of the sky and crashes season 2
blindside grabbed by mutant squirrel season 2
Nearly crushed under the wheels of a Kraang van and the Shell Raiser. Season 2
pushed April down to prevent her from being hit by Kraang missiles, short moment Later, April also pushes him down to prevent him from being hit by Kraang Fire. Season 2
Leo also pushes Donnie out of the way of kraang fire when April is grabbed by the Kraang. Season 2
Dragged away by Slash, beaten and left for dead. Season 2
Stockman possibly murdering Donnie to get the Retromutagen season 2
Falls off cliff season 2
Donnie shot season 2 finale

Donnie Stops breathing in season 3
Eaten alive and possessed by Speed Demon season 3
Donnie shot season three
Poisoned season 3
Hockey character he's playing is decapitated season 3
Nearly run over by Shellraiser. Season 3

Currently this season
Donnie's hit by ice fire and frozen solid.
And nearly freezes to death.

Since there is a Kirk/Spock/Bones relationship between the three older turtles. And Leo does have a protective streak when it comes to Donnie. And also Don's a pacifist, so it would make sense that he would try to stabilize the ship to enable most of them to survive. I mean Mikey's good with Kraang tech, but Don's been the one who has been checking out the Fugitoid's ship thus far seeking ways to repair the ship.

However I don't think it would work the way it was with Spock in Wrath of Khan where dies in the Warp Core and dies of radiation poisoning. And then next film discover that Spock's living soul has transferred to Bones. while his body lands on a newly formed planet and is reborn as a child.

And the poisonous gas seems to weaken the Turtles more then it actually poisons them. So it would make sense that it would be something that would more likely have Don out of commission for at least a episode. This gives the Turtles a couple of episodes to do things without his presence needed in the episode, and then when they really need him will be the episode he wakes up.

Raph however is protective of his brothers, particularly Mikey. So even if it was Donnie or Mikey's choice to put themselves in danger to save everyone else. He would still angerly scream the name of the person who caused the situation that lead to said brothers death.

Yeah. The Nick Show does like it's references to other Media. And there is a famous scene where Spock goes into the warp core to fix the Damaged USS enterprise and save the crew from certain death. And dies of radiation poisoning soon afterwards.

So yeah the Northampton episodes, those were mostly filler because the Turtles are kicking around waiting for Leo to recover. However we have a three month gap between the second season and the third so there isn't any real opportunity for them to mourn their defeat and the supposed loss of Splinter and any drama they would have had with keeping Leo alive. Because that's already over and done with.

However I personally don't feel they would have skipped that long period of time without reason. One reason is that the turtles would be morning the losses they have suffered again at the end of the season, and they didn't need to have two seasons begin with the Turtles grieving for what they have lost.

And at best if we do see anything from that Three Month Gap, it would be a flash back that ties into the situation or development of a character or relationship between two characters.

Take this example scenario: Raph watching over Leo was meant to be a role reversal of the 1990's movie where Leo was watching over Raph.
However in the 1990's movie, Leo and Raph have an argument over what they should do about locating Splinter. Raph feels they should go look for Splinter, and Leo felt they should wait until they have a lead as to where Splinter is being imprisoned. The argument ends with Leo telling Raph that he isn't wanted or needed resulting in Raph storming out of the apartment.

So Leo keeping vigil over Raph isn't just because he's a leader watching over a fallen soldier. He's keeping vigil out of guilt for what has happened to his brother.

In the season two finale, it's Donnie who tells Leo to his face that he is leading them to disaster. And after Leo is separated from them and also after Leo is seriously injured, Donnie blames himself for all that has happened. Everyone does turn to him to lead them out of their situation, and he is able to pull himself together enough to do so...but at some point between the end of the season two finale and the season three opening, the role of leader and tending to Leo changed hands from Donnie to Raph. And there are numerous ways that could have gone, from Donnie handing the reigns of the team to Raph simply because he doesn't feel he deserved it. To Raph taking over because Donnie's guilt and grief was affecting if not threatening to affect the well being of himself and by that result the rest of the team.

To tie in that gap to season four there should be a situation where in this case Donnie and Leo are at issue. The episode would begin with a flash back to Northampton lets say for an example moment where Donnie is trying to save Raph in Within the Woods as that would be a logical time and place where Donnie and Leo would have had a heart to heart about their argument in season 2 finale. Then return to the present day, the Triceraton's have most if not all of the pieces of the heart of darkness. Leo feels they should attack and destroy the Triceraton's so they would never harm Earth, Donnie however feels that action is uncalled for and feels they should talk to the Triceraton's and perhaps they could find someone who could get them to see that they could work together to defeat the Kraang without resorting to the Earth being destroyed. Leo feels they are beyond all reasoning, they didn't want to listen before and they aren't going to listen now. Donnie tries to get his brother to see reasons citing that the atrocities the Triceraton's have done haven't yet been committed and if they destroy them they are no better then the Triceraton's themselves.
Leo is still blinded by his anger at the fact they have so little time to save the Earth and that the weapon used to destroy the Earth is already in the hands of their enemy. There is no time to show reason, they need to strike before the Earth and Splinter are destroyed again.

Then it turns out Leo's decision was the wrong one, Donnie or at least one of his brothers and/or friends are seriously injured, captured, or nearly killed as a result of this conflict. April or one of the remaining members of their team informs Leo of a moment that occurred while he had been unconscious and realizes that he should have trusted Donnie's judgment.

I never thought I was going to have to say this on any idea, but...

It's an idea that needs adjustments, especially because of it holding back certain characters.

Look, I'm all for Northampton being revisited with some kind of explanation, but remember how the show doesn't handle it's tragedies well? (or revisit Northampton is on the far back of the mind) Even if the entire picture is tied into, we don't know if and will the Triceratons can gain those pieces again; on top of this, you have to balance in how Dregg and Armaggon are in the fray plus the 80s crossover. That and the fact for making Donnie extremely sympathetic is a little too far, a bit off putting to put him in center stage for a third season.

I don't mean to be this critical, but VA the majority of the ideas often revolve around Donatello at most; I understand he's your favorite turtle, but I feel the constant derailing of other characters hurts the idea. This establishment practically makes not only Leo near weak after his growth, but no contribution to any character barring the brief mention of Raphael. To me, it's absurd for all these characters to shed an ounce of sympathy to Don each time; as far as I care, the other Turtles deserve some limelight in a dark episode, especially Michelangelo.

The Turtles know by far the dangers the Triceratons possess in this incarnation as none of them bested one at all, not even Zog. Only Leo's wit was enough to have them escape; though Don might want a logical route, the chance is way too high of a catalyst to occur. After all the destruction the Triceratons caused, I'm pretty sure teaming with them is the farthest thought away after the hell towards Earth.

Like I mentioned before in the past, they skipped the time frame of Leo's coma to demonstrate the conflict of being in one for so long. My dad was in one before I was born; he was frail and needed time to react after losing massive weight and strength for his body. The fact Donnie needs to garner further sympathy shows no opportunity for risk; I'd much rather see Leo argue with the Fugitoid or Michelangelo on the situation rather than an event which occurred.

It's convenient writing from this idea that holds it back. A parallel to the Northampton arc I'm all for, but not when there's derailing character development by Leo to make him argue with Donnie again. The idea needs serious improvement as it's entirely out of character. :ohwell:

This I actually agree with - As I recall we were told early on there would be 13(?) Northampton episodes, and we've had nowhere near that many. It makes sense that if they are coming, we'd probably get a couple after the space/Triceraton arc - but even that might not make up the apparent shortfall.
A quick flashback makes a lot of good sense, and also ties up those emotional loose ends without getting bogged down in them.

I think that might be a little over the top. Just because the point in question is driven by resolving the Don/Leo tension and/or guilt from Invasion doesnt mean that Raph and Mikey wouldnt get some attention. After all - even with the example as it stands, Raph obviously took the reigns -How would he have felt about it?
Equally, Mikey is emotionally reliant on his brothers - one of whom was in a coma, another possibly gripped by guilt and the other likely frustrated and lost. How would Mikey have felt?
There's plenty of room for drama on all of them there - Don's argument and subsequent guilt with Leo is just a plot point that drives the rest

The idea of paralleling that with an argument over the Triceratons does make quite a bit of sense - depending of course on the context;

Take for example if Dregg has managed to become a major threat by stealing the Black hole weapon and threatening to turn it on the Triceratons. Would Leo and Don argue over helping the Triceratons?

I admit you could just as easily take the same line of an argument between Raph and Leo, but at least that earlier parallel and unresolved issue gives an interesting backdrop that mirrors the 'current' situation. :)

That probably made more sense in my head :D

That and the fact both Donnie and Honeycutt are pacifists. HoneyCutt has already stated he is a pacifist. Donnie hasn't stated, but there have been heavy hints of him being one.

The argument in my scenario is Leo and everyone else is justifiably angry with the Triceraton's for the distruction of Earth. Leo in the opening clearly calls the Triceraton's evil and in a way he's right about that.

But the only Triceraton's who can be classified as evil are Mozar and Zenramon and even then that is a stretch. The rest are just following orders. We know the Triceraton's are hunting for the three pieces of the Heart of Darkness and the mission at this time is to follow the Triceraton's and prevent them from obtaining the pieces of the the black hole generator.

The Triceraton fleet is bigger, stronger, and more numerous then then Turtles and their companions. So yes there is a large likelihood they would gather the pieces of the heart of darkness before the Turtles do. The Turtles would be fortunate to prevent the Triceraton's from obtaining one piece let alone all three.

Leo also has a bad habit of having a one track mind at times. When he's focused on one idea that seems right, he doesn't always listen to or consider what his brothers are suggesting or offering to the mix.

Let's look at Donnie's Turtle mech for example as that was the start of the argument between them.

Both Donnie and Leo had good ideas and good arguments against the ideas of the other.

Donnie's argument for the mech- It would be piloted by the four of them and it would be able to take out the Kraang enmass thus slowing down and possibly stopping the invasion.

Leo's argument against the mech was that it wasn't finished and could do unneeded damage to the city.
Leo's argument is quite correct as taking out the energy grid of the city helped the Kraang more then it hindered them.

Leo's argument was to create a second base outside the city.

Donnie's argument against is was they didn't have time to do so.
Much like Leo's however, Donnie's argument is also correct as the Kraang invasion was pretty much on their door step.

Splinter even tells them that their ego's are forcing them against one another...when they 'should' be working 'together' to stop the Kraang.

The key words here are Should and Together. Donnie and Leo are skilled individually, but they are at their best when they fight along side one another, Donnie's skills act in compliment to Leo's much like Mikey's act in compliment to Raph's.
So in other words Splinter is telling his son's that they need to collaborate rather then fight each other over who had the stronger suggestion.

However Splinter doesn't directly tell his sons what should be done, but rather leaves the matter open for his sons to come to decisions and conclusions on their own rather then telling them what decisions they should be making.

So yeah...if the Triceraton's got their hands on majority if not all three pieces of the Heart of Darkness, Leo would want to destroy them to prevent them from destroying Earth. Raph and Casey would likely side with this decision as Raph has suggested during Weird World of Wyrm that they use the first of their remaining wishes to stop the Triceraton's. And Casey also would agree that is would be easier to take out the Triceraton's and the Heart of Darkness together rather then letting them attack earth.

However since this is still before the distruction of Earth, so Triceraton's are innocent of the crime the Turtles know they would commit. So killing them before they commit the deed is not that different then the Triceraton's destroying the Earth just to kill the Kraang.

I don't see Donnie liking or agreeing with the idea of killing off Triceraton's before they are truly guilty of destroying the Earth. I don't see April or Mikey agreeing with it either.

Honeycutt would be neutral about it, and likely won't want to get involved.

Just look as the movie Minority Report. The Movie is set in a future world where the police have a division called Pre-crime. In this division a trio of psychics see visions of murders and crimes that will occur in the future. And the main character's job is to hunt down the people who are allegedly going to commit the crime before they commit them. One of the flaws of this system however is that once people are aware of their future they have the power to change it.

So we know Traximus is an ally of the Turtles among the Triceraton's in the past. In the 2k3 version he questions the destructive ways of the Triceraton's under Zenramon's rule. And was imprisoned in the gladiator cells, the years of fighting made him forget his peoples honor until he meets the Turtles. So there had to be at least a few Triceraton's who aren't happy about the idea of using this weapon on a backwater planet full of innocent people

Tarris Vaal

I think an alliance could certainly happen if the situation was desperate enough - The Triceratons dont come across as deliberately malicious so much as rather single minded and extremely heavy handed.

And in the situation where the turtles were to be forced to consider an alliance, I can well imagine Leo and Raph being the first to try and deny any chance of considering it.

I think that it could make a really interesting dynamic to force an argument :) Possibly even one that someone like Dregg could quietly manipulate

It is possible that Dregg could broker an alliance with the Triceratons. He gets the Turtles and their companions. They get the heart of darkness and the Fugatoid. But later Dregg double crosses the Triceratons by keeping the heart of darkness for himself so he can instill more fear in the universe.

Here's my pitch for a City at War adaptation.

Say the reset button gets hit at the end of the Turtles in Space arc. Yet, somehow, everyone remembers what went down in their final moments before getting sucked into a black hole. The Foot Clan realizes that their lives are meaningless to Shredder (or at least finally see it for themselves), and largely abandon him.

Xever goes off to rejoin the Purple Dragons, becoming Hun's second-in-command. They begin to build up the organization much like 2003 Hun did to become a credible threat. Stockman joins up with Don Vizioso's mob, since Vizioso comes off as a decent dude and probably would treat Stockman alright (and also Stockman briefly joined the mob during the 2003 City at War). Bebop and Rocksteady run back to the latter's mafia and form another faction. Finally, Bradford, ever the loyalist, sticks with Shredder since he's already shown to be willing to die for his master. To compensate for the loss of his troops, Shredder brings in the 2012 incarnations of Tatsu and the Foot Elite to replace his generals. Tigerclaw, disgusted with Shredder, abandons the Foot and actually allies himself with the Mutanimals - hearkening back to Slash's line about having friends back in "Clash of the Mutanimals".

The turf war also becomes an arms race - the arms being mutants. The factions all try to recruit the various mutants of New York, like Spiderbytez or the Creep. So the Turtles set out to end the war somehow.

Thats an interesting idea :)

I like that people would have some inkling or memory of the events of Earth's destruction - though I'm not sure how you could explain why they would exactly .

That said, if the Turtles manage to stop the Triceratons very close to the mark, Shredder's minions may well be aware of Shredder's disregard for their lives and everyone elses - even as the machine is stopped at the very last moment.

And it would definitely be nice to see Xever and Baxter become prominent again

That said, if the Turtles manage to stop the Triceratons very close to the mark, Shredder's minions may well be aware of Shredder's disregard for their lives and everyone elses - even as the machine is stopped at the very last moment.

And it would definitely be nice to see Xever and Baxter become prominent again

Well certainly Tigerclaw as he already knows Shredder is cray cray and he has questioned Shredder about his motives on a couple of occasions. He also does believe in honor, so he at the very least would not see honor in stabbing someone from behind, particularly when the fate of the world is at stake.

Ciro has said hinted in at least a couple interviews that Tigerclaw wouldn't always be with the Foot.

So far Donatello is the only Turtle he had never initially encountered during his debut, and in vision quest Donnie had TigerClaw as a for an opponent, while with Leo, Raph, and Mikey it was a more standard enemy.

Leo with Shredder (Shredder is enemy to all the Turtles, but Leo tends to be a prime target since he is leader.)
Raph with Fishface
Mikey with Bradford

For the sake of argument for those reading this, I don't focus my theories and ideas on Donnie because he is my favorite Turtle. I find him easier to write about in general.

For some, Mikey's easier, for others it's Raph and there is nothing wrong with that.

And while Tiger Claw has fought Donnie on a couple of occasions. Both Donatello and Tiger Claw have never really encountered each other in the general sense.

During the Human's vs. Mutants plot line, Donnie is going to to have a lot of importance to the story. This doesn't mean he would be more important then then other Turtles or mutants, because that's not the case. But in a humans vs. mutants scenario...Donnie, April, and Casey would play the role of an idealized future where humans and mutants could exist in harmony with one another.

The very harmony some people would like to destroy because it doesn't fit their ideals for how the world should be.

Leo also has Karai as a focal villain (when she is a villain) :)

It will be very interesting to see where the second half of Season 4 goes. I wonder how much of a shake up we will see in the wake of the Triceraton arc.

I know a lot of people are wanting a tournament/Nexus arc, but in all honesty I think a city at war / anti mutant arc is probably going to be more interesting overall.

I'm not sure where Tigerclaw would stand if not beside Shredder. I can't imagine he would necessarily join with the Mutanimals so much as be a free agent.

I'd almost say that Karai joining the Mutanimals seems more likely as it gives her some shelter and scope to work alongside the turtles without being 'with' them.

That is true. And should it turn out the Turtles are not able to prevent Splinters death. Karai is not going to want to be with the Turtles. Because half of them have no real love for her and with good reason. And without Splinter there is nothing tying her to them as family.

While I can imagine one on one journeys with her and each of the Turtles (maybe not so much Mikey or Casey) and April. Kinda like Zuko had to with the members of team Avatar since up until the latter half of the third book they had only known him as an enemy.

Tiger Claw I can see being arrested as a mutant and Shredder does nothing to prevent it from happening or just simply walks away. While in the internment camps Tiger Claw encounters one or all the Turtles. A shaky alliance is formed between them knowing that it will only last until they are able to escape the camp. At some point Tiger Claw is in a situation. Some of the Turtles feel it's better to leave him to his fate, because it's not like he wouldn't have left them to die or be recaptured. Others feel they should help him regardless because enemy or not they could still use his help. And at the end of their escape, Tiger Claw tells them he will let them leave with their lives this time...but next time they meet they should count on him being there enemy. Kinda like how Dogpound and Fish face had no real interest in fighting the Turtles because of how exhausted everyone had become after escaping Baxter's maze of doom. And he will return to the Foot, but he would not forgive Shredder for casually abandoning him and using these doubts to fuel his decision to leave the Foot Clan and go his own way.

As for the love triangle between April, Donnie, and Casey. Like I have said, there are people who would want to destroy even the possibility of that even happening because they feel it's something they can ruin...or it doesn't fit their ideals.

First is the Elephant in the room, and that is Karai. Please note this would be purely assuming that she still is a villain despite the fact she coughed up that one worm. Because Shredder is enough of a control freak to put in more then one of those worms into her head with the belief that it would solidify his hold over her. She is the only member of the Foot Clan who really has some idea that Donnie has feelings for April, she hasn't said anything. And she could do a lot worse with this knowledge if this show was able to go into **Cough*** more adult situations. But there is also fanfiction for that.

In Deadly Venom she attacks April first so that way if she was brought to the Turtles, Donnie's attention would be divided and thus wouldn't be able to notice that he and Leo were wading through poison before it's too late. And in four fold trap she does assume the identity of April to lure Donnie away from the lair so he could be over powered and captured.

And Donnie hates Karai not just because she's a threat to his family, but because she has tried to kill April on a couple of occasions. Heck in their argument during 4 Fold Trap, Leo easily could have brought April into the issue by saying "You don't want to help her because she's tried to kill April." But fortunately was mature enough not to pull that card, or at the very least the argument was disrupted before that card could even be played.

Next is the Shredder. He doesn't just want to kill the Hamato Clan...He wants to crush them. One of the issues he had with Hamato Yoshi was that they were both in love with the same girl. And even though Tang Shen died by his hand, he still blamed Hamato Yoshi for it in an "I.E. If it weren't for you, she wouldn't have died." kind of way. So far he only wants April eliminated because she is an ally of the Turtles. However if the triangle was to reach his attention...he could poison Casey's mind to make him believe that if he loses April to Donnie, he would regret it the rest of his life.

Then there is the rest of the gamete with the humans vs. mutants situations.

Lets look at Gargoyles as an example: Following the original series and going into the Goliath Chronicles the quote unquote Red Sky season of the Gargoyles universe.

In the wake of the final episode of the original series a whole debacle erupts about there being Gargoyles in the city of New York. Which divides the city into several groups. One of the side seeing the Gargoyles as a threat simply because of their monstrous appearance. Another group banking on that fear and creating anti-gargoyle task forces. Some wanting to capture the gargoyles and use them for their own selfish gain.

And then there are groups of people who feel that the Gargoyles are not a threat to the city, because there is no proof that they are a threat. Or because the only people they attack are the real monsters. I.E. Those who would pray upon the innocent.

This is the kind of discord that someone like Joan Grody would revel in. I have commented before that Joan is like a cross between Clayton Kellerman and Bern Thompson. She likes ratings and she would slander people to get ratings. I mean look at Muck-man for example. She could have said he was a threat to the city. But there was already a group of people saying he was a hero, so she naturally went with reporting him as such. At least until she could find something to make him appear less like a hero.

The Turtles on the other hand from her reaction after she caught that footage of them in Noxious Avenger felt like she had seen if not at least heard talk about there being four mutant turtles running about town. But never had any footage or proof they existed before then, she then proceeds to vilify the Turtles because well because she can.

And since Muck Man had smoothed things over by saying they were just a bunch of kids playing dress up. The fact he covered for the Turtles could be what makes Joan feature him in a less then heroic light. Using the grounds that if he could lie about the Turtles, what else could he lie about and how can we trust a creature that would knowingly conceal a potential threat to the city.

April naturally would try and reach the city and anyone who would listen that the Turtles aren't a threat and that Joan is lying about them. However if Joan learns about the triangle between Donnie, April, Casey. Joan would happily use that as a way to discredit April's assertions that the Turtles and Mutants are good. And it would be even worse if it's brought into the open that April isn't completely human but rather a human/kraang hybrid mutant.

Then there is Kirby. He's a protective parent and his PTSD following all that has done to him by the Kraang has made him even more protective of April. We can assume that by the suspicious look he tosses out the window in Deadly Venom, that he doesn't really approve of Casey. And while he's okay with the Turtles hanging around April...that is only just as long as they are friends. Learning one of the Turtles is in love with his daughter or vice vs would be pushing boundaries with him that he would not be comfortable with.

Dirk Savage (if he is used) and Abigail Finn (Don't know why we would need her since we have Joan.) will likely target the Turtles human companions as well to bait the Turtles out of hiding

Since the show is on a hiatus, here is some ideas that could happen in Season 4!

1: The Big Brawl (2003 Episode Basis)

We should have a 4 Part Episode where the Turtles are in a galactic brawl and have to fight in the championships!

2: More of Lord Dregg's Henchman from the 80's show and Battle for Dimension X:

We should see Mung and HiTech again and the Technogang and the Batmen. I reckon there should be a huge battle for Dimension X like Triceratons, Lord Dregg, Turtles and the Kraang all battle it out in one giant big battle.

IDW Characters

Bludgeon, Koya, Old Hob, Alopex and Herman need to appear.

3. Returning to Earth

After saving earth, the Turtles should face the Shredder again but we should get 2 new henchmutants so this season, lets have Tokka and Scrag work for Shredder and this is unlikely but what if Dogpound somehow returned but without Rahzar turning back into human, That would be cool to see him apart of the foot again and it would be so awkard and cool to see how Rahzar and Dogpound interact with each other. Even with Fishface, it would be awkard.

4. The Season Finale

They should save Karai after a 2 WHOLE Seasons of disapointment and finally defeat Shredder but Shredder gets new foot soldiers and gets the Foot Elite and Super Foot Soldiers (Mutated Human Foot Soldiers) and a Huge battle between Lord Dregg, HiTech, Mung, Batmen, Technogang, Slorr verses the Foot with Shredder, Tiger Claw, Baxter-Fly, Dogpound, Fishface, Rahzar, Tokka, Scrag, Rocksteady, Bebop, Chrome Dome, Claw Shredder, Shiva Shredder, Shrimps Shredder, Mega Shredder, Foot-Bots, Foot Elite, Super Foot, Japanese Foot Soldiers, Hun, Fong, Sid, Tsio, Don Viziolso, Fulchi Twin 1, Fulchi Twin 2 verses the Turtles, Splinter, Slash, Leatherhead, Rockwell, Pete, Mondo Gecko, Muckman, Joe Eyball with Old Hob and Herman joining the Mutanimals and Newtralizer, Chong, Spider Bytez and Snakeweed forming their own team (the brotherhoodof evil) versing the Triceratons versing the Kraang versing the EPF (Earth Protection Force) IN ONE GIANT BIG BATTTLE!

Honestly, I'd rather have this show to further work out the characters they already have instead of adding a bunch of one-off characters from other TMNT iterations instead of having a huge fanwank.
I'm sure I'm not the only one. :)

I have to agree - though a new character every so often is cool and all, they really need to focus on developing the ones they already have :)

Guest slots like Wyrm aren't so bad (so long as they help develop one of the primary characters at the same time)

Honestly this one might be hard because of the state he's in right now but I hear he's getting better and he did work on two things after what happened to him so its a possibility that they can get him to appear but if he turns them down then I don't mind he has all the reason too. Anyway I want actor Tim Curry who suffered a stroke almost 4 years ago and is still recovering to be in the show.

Who would I have him play? I'd have him play one of the three reality bending creatures of chaos that Wyrm was a part of. Have it so he can shape shift and take any form and can make people's worst fears come to life. His primary form would be a clown (homage to Curry's role as Pennywise really the entire idea would be)

I don't know just an idea. If he's willing to work again then he needs it and I think an appearance on TMNT could be just the ticket for a comeback.

I don't think the other Chaos Bending creatures are going to appear. At least not in this particular series. The episode was a copy and paste of the episode 'Meet Wigglenod' from Super Robo Monkey Hyper Force Five.
And Wigglenod did have a small cameo image as one of the creatures of chaos. So that leaves only that blob thing as a yet to be introduced reality bending creature.

It would be great if Tim Curry could be brought on to play a character though. And if not Tim Curry, maybe bring on John Delancy in as he is a discount Tim Curry and he also plays a creature of chaos in MLP. Aside from Hob or maybe Null, or Darius Dun. Or some Original Character.

A good character from Fast Forward to bring into the current Turtles in Space arc is Torbin Zixx.

Torbin was created specifically for Fast Forward, but his character is similar in ways to Han Solo.

quoted from Turtlepedia.
Torbin Zixx is a notorious, almost legendary smuggler who was able to make a name for himself as a reliable deliverer of sensitive goods in the galaxy, especially illicit weapons systems. He is a cunning fellow who breaks his word as soon as he gives it, and uses every opportunity, in order to enrich himself, but in his heart he is a trickster who would rather defeat his victims with his cunning than by force of arms, and refuses to kill the innocent. His trademark is the strong use of hologram projectors to confuse his pursuers.

In his occasional encounters with the Turtles Zixx developed a professional respect for their abilities, but he took advantage of their help with his eloquence for his own purposes whenever he could. Eventually, however, he lost to them, as they - particularly Donatello - simply proved to be smarter and more skillful.

So maybe in the Space Arc, the Turtles come a cross a man named Torbin Zixx. Mikey and Casey take an immediate like to him.

Raph likes him and thinks he's cool and feels he could be useful as an ally.

Leo, Donnie, and April are interested in who he could be as an ally, but don't want to place all their trust in him. Particularly with his criminal record.
And the Fugitoid also said they should be cautious as Zixx is wanted by the federation.

As he is with them he learns that they are hoping to stop that Triceraton's from gaining a super weapon that could destroy Earth.

Zixx tells them that he is making a delivery for a client and he could uses their help in making that delivery. They land on a barren planet. The Turtles, leave with him to help get the goods he was going to deliver. However when Donnie cautiously asks about what sort of goods Zixx was delivering and to whom.

Zixx says "I'm glad you asked that!" and then proceeds to incapacitate and capture all four Turtles. And says he was tasked with delivering them to Dregg. Mikey and Casey, are upset at this betrayal.

Zixx returns later and saves them saying that he didn't feel right with betraying them the way he did.

You mention he was kind of the TMNT version of Han Solo. I partly agree; but I dislike the character personally because he never felt original. There was nothing to him. A charming rogue who constantly tricks the heroes despite occasionally seemingly having a lighter side. Though he wouldn't debut till a few years later, I think Hondo Ohnaka from Star Wars: The Clone Wars was a much better example of this archetype, who was interesting enough to become popular to the point he became a major recurring semi-villain. Or Captain Jack Sparrow, too.

If they ever bring on Zixx, I'm sure they'll play up the Han Solo/Jack Sparrow characteristics to the point he's just a TMNT Han Solo (like the Dream Beavers are Freddy Krueger, the Creep is Jason, Bradford was Chuck Norris, etc). Which would make him even less of an interesting character in my opinion. I'd only be up for Zixx if they make him more of a new take on the character, kinda like how they put new twists on Bishop. I could still roll with the bounty hunter aspect I suppose, but I fear he'll just be a standard generic badass bounty hunter type, like Boba Fett and his many imitations are.

April at some point encounters the Utrom Counsel and is given a device that would help her find her mother.

Donnie studies it and finds it's a transport device that can lead them to another dimension. Casey feels they should use it and find April's mom despite the fact they don't know which dimension it leads to or even what they would find there.

The Turtles find themselves in a strange city and prepare for a for anything when a group of Salamandrian's calling themselves the Brotherhood appear to them. The two groups are ready to fight when the Chancellor appears to them and says they are peaceful and only want to welcome their new guests.

While there they learn that there is another of April and Casey's species on the planet who is working on something for them. But the Brotherhood won't let them see "The Wizardess" because she is busy restoring a transport device to enable them to visit and bring peace and goodwill to the people of Earth.

The Turtle's are allowed to explore the city as they wish the only place they can't go is the Forbidden Zone because it's sacred to their people. All the Turtles are fascinated with the new Dimention and it's technology and break off in pairs to explore. The Chancellor tells several of his soldiers to keep an eye on them and don't let them leave the city alive.

Both Donnie and April find it strange that despite the city size. The Brotherhood only has a small number of people as they head to the city's library.

Casey is fascinated by the Forbidden Zone and wants to know why it's so forbidden. Raph at first is against it...because he doesn't want to disrespect Mona Lisa's people. But he goes along to keep Casey out of trouble.

Leo and Mikey are also fascinated with the world around them but Mikey comments that he finds something off about the Brotherhood. Leo agrees that there is something about them that doesn't seem right and they should remain on their guard.

April comes across some information in the library depicting a humanoid race called the Zodot that lived on that planet. April is confused as the Brotherhood never mentioned the Zodot's. She suddenly senses they are being watched and she and Donnie run for it.

Leo and Mikey over hear the Chancellor telling the other members of the brotherhood, that the new creatures should serve as a Food Source for them until the "Wizardess" can finish opening the gate to the Dimention where Earth is. Once there they would round up every last creature on the planet and feast.

Leo at once tries to contact his brothers, April and Casey to warn them of what they have learned. Unfortunately the two of them are captured before they can send notice.

Raph and Casey come across a pile of humanoid bones and discover that the forbidden zone is a grave yard. A surviving Zodat person appear to them and at first fears Raph is a Salamandrian when the lot of them are discovered and caught by the Salamandrian's.

Donnie and April continue to run as they are being chased by the brotherhood. A door opens and someone beckons them inside.

The person who saved them is the "Wizardess" April's mother. She tells them about how she had come to be in the hands of the Brotherhood and that they have been forcing her to restore the dimensional transports so they can escape to Earth. However she had been doing what she can in stalling the repairs because of what the Brotherhood intended to do when they got there.

The last Zodat informs Casey, and the Turtles that the they were the actual people who lived in this city, until the day the Brotherhood appeared. The Brotherhood claimed to be there to promote peace and good will, however soon after they betrayed them. Hunting down the Zodat and driving them to extinction in their hunger and greed. In an effort to prevent them from doing the same to other worlds, they used magnetic explosives to destroy the Transport artifacts the brotherhood used to arrive in their world.

Donnie and April rescue their companions and get to the transport...so they can get it up and running before the Brotherhood can burst in and stop them. Unfortunately someone needs to stay to make sure the transport can self destruct so the Brotherhood can't follow them to Earth. At first Mrs. O'Neil says she will do this...but the last Zodot volunteers instead.

The Turtles, April, Casey, and Mrs. O'Neil all return to Earth. April is overjoy'd to have her Mother back and that she has so much to tell her.

So anybody have any theories for the crossover episode and the Revenge episode

Not so much with the cross over except maybe the OT Turtles mentioning the Kraathatrogon that Donnie (unknowingly) unleashed in the OT Universe and of course Tiger Claw.

As for the Revenge Episode

these are some theories that were plausible for it.
