The "suit" isn't a suit, it's a blanket folded up on the arm of the couch.
Probably to go with the pillow at the other end. I'm assuming Kurtzman sleeps on the couch regularly.

The hat the alien is wearing isn't the same kind of hat.
It's more of a straw boater, rather than the fedora that kurtzman is wearing.

The boxers and men's button down shirt...those I'll give you.

Interesting but far fetched. If it were a holograph, people would have noticed had parts that he wasn't supposed to when Leatherhead was carrying him and Splinter said he needed to cauterize the wound i.e. Sear the wound closed.

While Kurtzman's humanity is still in question, we are more likely to see him revealed as the Fugatoid then we would see him being revealed as a female.

I don't know what it is, but there is something really odd about the art style on her face. I struggle to put my finger on it, but there is something quite different to the usual styles for the Nick characters done so far.

Longer, more accentuated chin than most human characters (or any character for that matter), very high cheek bones, and a more 'triangular' look to her face overall.

She reminds me a lot of the way the Neutrino's were drawn in the OT.

Alright... So anyhow. Maybe she's a girlfriend or friend he simply hasn't mentioned to protect her. Maybe she was with him and got hit with one of those canisters in season 2 and needed clothing post mutation, and thus he offered what she could manage to get on for the time being.

I don't think she's holding anything with her tail, it looks to me like her tail is simply over the arm of the sofa and a blanket or something is folded over the arm of it.

Doubtful it's Mona Lisa, who was more salamander, right? Amphibian rather than reptile. This lady definitely look like she got mixed with iguana. (Or...was...one?)

You have great points there. There are a lot of clues in that one photo. I believe they put that in there as foreshadowing rather than a quick joke since we get a good look at her and it's in great detail. It sure does leave a lot of questions unanswered.

I get the idea that she has quite the personality to go with her hot looks. She's sassy and possibly a tough fighter, probably smart. She looks sexy as in she had just stayed the night. I don't get the impression that she was just newly mutated. Wouldn't she be a bit more upset or confused? I know I would be.

And Raph's reaction...I have many speculations on that. Was that a way of telling us he's not gay? I know I've read some speculation that he might be and perhaps they wanted to clarify that for us.

Could she be the mother of Raph's future love interest? Can you imagine a teenage version of her coming into the picture? I could totally see Raph liking her.

Also, maybe they only showed us the reactions of Mikey and Raph since it would be wrong for Donnie and Leo to look turned on since they are already in love with other women.

There are so many possibilities in that one photo. I wonder who thought of the idea of putting her in there in the first place?

Yeah, the background being the guy's former(?) home - given his bulletin board that the Turtles and April got a look at when they first ran into him - makes me think she'll probably show up at some point and isn't just a pic put in the show just because.

Besides, that's a rather detailed model to make with no intention of using her, rather than, say, just illustrate an image instead.

Agree she probably wasn't just mutated, but even still, if she was stuck at his place for a while I could see her still wearing his stuff. I mean in real life it's hard enough to simply find a pair of well fitting jeans, imagine sending this guy to shop for you. :lol: Esp when you haven't a clue what would even fit now. With the tail the boxers are probably just easier.

I actually wouldn't mind if she showed up in season 4 or whatever, as long as the crush isn't written like what we've had so far: love at first sight, not reciprocated, etc.

I think it was confirmed that Mikey will have a crush on Renet, and she's voiced by Ashley Johnson who has voiced other love interests opposite Greg Cipes.

As for that woman, I definitely think she'll show up again or will be mentioned again. They didn't just do a quick thing either and let the slide stay there for a few minutes before Jack switched it.

In the other thread, I joked about her being Mona Lisa. It was the first lizard lady I could think of in the Turtleverse. Personally, before stepping into this thread, I viewed Raph and Mikey's reactions as genuine surprise, which is why I posed the question over why they didn't show everyone's reactions. I was including the Mutanimals as well.

I only joked about it being Mona Lisa because Raph gasped. He was enamored. lol. I also thought about the painting he did of the lizard lady. It would be an interesting twist if they were doing that to show that maybe Raph, compared to his brothers, is attracted to actual anthropomorphic reptilians as opposed to humans or mammals.

I was kind of hoping, although it coukd be a possibility still, for Raph not to fall for anyone so that he could remain the one to make those comments regarding the others, but atthe same time, I could see it actually happening and Raph going out of his way to deny it to others and himself. The comedic potential would be high imo. lol

I do like the point made of how Raph painted the green girl on the Van and then POOF here's a green lizard girl and Raph gawking at her. I do have to admit I did also think Mona Lisa immediately. Also Kurtzman being a Fugatoid is definitely a possibility.

Really? Why do people think Raphael's gay in this version? I didn't get that at all. He even makes that comment about how he thinks Karai is hot in an evil way. That alone tells me he's attracted to girls.

I think it'd be easier for Raph to believe that he might be more accepted for who and what he is by someone who's not completely human than by someone who is. Donnie and Leo have a certain amount of optimism, but unless it involves his ability to kick a bad-guy's butt, Raph is definitely the pessimist of the team.

Confronting him with a flesh-and-blood female he finds himself liking would probably evoke a similar reaction to that of our good friend, the Grinch.

She could've been a spy who agreed to acquire information for him- he has to have obtained that knowledge from some outside source- and over the course of their work relationship, they ended up becoming romantically involved. I hope they bring her in! That'll be so fun!

EDIT: I'm not that far in the IDW series but I think Alopex and Raph have something going on. That would be interesting if the show put her in. But...personally, I think Mona Lisa is a better choice.

Something is definitely going on with Alopex and Raph... be it not much at the moment but a bit of harmless flirting really, but they certainly seem to have chemistry.

I'd be pretty happy if she turned out to be Mona Lisa, but if she is I hope they give her a bit of a more interesting back story then in the 80's cartoon. I could certainly see a sort of Kurtzman spy thing going on seeing he has to be getting much of his intel on the Kraang from somewhere after all. The photo does seem to portray her as a bit of a "catwoman" in a sense she looks mischievous as if she would play both sides in as semi antagonistic depending on what perhaps benefited her situation or entertained her the most. I tend to think Raph would be sort of into a bad girl... A bad girl that's not Karai anyway... if that makes sense.

Well, technically, Mona Lisa is the ONLY "green lizard lady". (And why do some fans take her as a salamander?? Salamanders are not usually green, and she clearly had a more reptilian build. She just had webbed hands and feet, which some aquatic lizards do.)

Also, the girl on the van was just WEARING green. Her face was clearly human in the close-up. Just a minor note there, but it keeps coming up as if she IS green. She's not.

Actually, you do raise an interesting point. That would be nice to see someone crushing on one of them. Raph would be perfect only since he would probably be too obliviously pessimistic to catch it for a while if that was the case.

If it does happen, this is the type of thing I'd want it to turn out like. Or you could also possibly have them initially be totally indifferent to each other, or go the cliched way of having them actually dislike each other, then slowly grow to like each other. As long as it's not a repeat of what we've been having so far in terms of love interests. The more I think about it, the more I'd want their relationship to actually work out.

Yeah, I personally doubt she's Mona Lisa, seems way too old, but more of a nod to Mona Lisa. I do like the reason some people have given, that she's the one who's given Kurtzman a lot of info on Kraang and worked with him.

Oh I didn't take that as anything but a one off gag. I think people dwelled more into because it's fun to fantasize about how the cool sexy mutant lady would be if she could be a character in the show. And I don't blame them. This show just doesn't have much going for it in terms of female characters so people who want that are kind of left to fantasy.

I never took it as he was twisted for ripping off a robot arm as much as thinking to barricade the door with it. *shrugs* I still like it, one of my favorite Raph moments. It was pretty early on in the series, I think it was just the second episode so they probably weren't quite as use to improvising in combat as they are now. Still testing the waters for that target "children's" audience.

I remember the scene personally as that "Yup... Raph's gonna probably be my favorite in this version of the series."

I'm not quite yet throwing away suspicions.

It would be very easy to truthfully say with all honesty that yes, something was just a gag in the episode in question...while simply failing to reveal future information. I'd be doing exactly that were it me and there was more to it... We shall see. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't put away feeling like I slightly smell a rat, Nick. And it ain't Splinter. :trazz:

With you on that one, Indigo. The way Powder worded his question, there's a lot left open. Is it Mona Lisa, or a tribute to her somehow? No. Could she be Mona's mother? The possibility still stands.

As I said in the episode thread, it leaves the show an opening and some backstory if they did decide to bring Mona Lisa into things without having to retcon later. Kurtzman might not even be aware he had a daughter, but given his investigative nature, I doubt that.

Lizard woman was a conscientious choice. If it had been a mermaid, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

The character isn't Mona or even a nod to her, and that's all the confirmation we got. If people want to play around with the wiggle room we got with the answer, does it really matter? Let them enjoy themselves. Disagree if you want, but there's no need to come down on people who're just having fun speculating. It's part of what we're here for, after all.

Personally I'm not expecting anything to come from it like I was before. Just a gag, but if something does happen than I guess I can be pleasantly surprised.

I agree that it's fun to speculate, and sometimes the writers aren't going to give anything away. Remember when Ciro said those storyboards that were leaked were fake and they turned out to be real? Yeah, that could be the case here, too. You just never know. It could start out as a gag, but maybe later down the road, they may want to do something with that lizard lady and bring her back.

Yes, this is so true. I just think she's too well designed and they paused long enough for us to get a good look at her for her to be a gag. We can't fully trust anything they tell us, however, if they decided we enjoyed her enough they could bring her into the show at some point. That's a writer's prerogative.

I also saw a picture of a fish creature called Carnage that is from the mirage comics that looks like her, only male.

Yes, actually, you are. I'm applying actual logic to your post to point out the room left for interpretation, and you're rolling your eyes instead of even considering that you didn't get as straight an answer as you think. I'd say that's the pinnacle of being unreasonable. You don't even know what tone of voice to take that comment in--everyone on the Internet has an excellent poker-face, and can pull some excellent sleight of hand on you. Not saying it's a bold-faced lie, but it may not be a whole truth. (Note, I'm not saying it's false in any sense either... but it also stands that it could be.)

Comes down to the evil genie/Child of Oberon twisting your words thing. ("Did you say 'that human', or 'that human'? Never mind, I'll figure it out...")

And that also doesn't preclude the fact that while it may be nothing but a gag now doesn't mean the writers might pick it up and use it for something later, and then it won't have been just a gag, it will have been set-up.

If the writers decide to use that character design to flesh out a new character. that's an entirely different discussion. It's still just a picture for the "important slide-show's comedic moment" gag.

Of course, musing about who she is is just harmless fun. It is a interesting character design and she seems to easily fill the now lost Bad Girl/Catwoman trope character Karai had before she mutated and got slighly loopy.

If they do decide down the line to make a character out fo her, I hope she is an original creation and not a re-use of Mona or that other reptilian lady mutant who's name escapes me.
