View Full Version : If you could make a season for the Nick show...

It's becoming increasingly clear to me that we all have ideas for this show and quite a bit of them might not be done. Viewing the suggestions thread and reading other stories has inspired me to make my own what-if season. In addition, I'm just tired of the arguments on certain threads, so I wish to dedicate a thread for a full on season created by you all.

So, feel free to talk about what your idea for a what-if season for the Nick show. It can be whatever you wish and also can put forth whoever you want in the spotlight. Just don't bash other ideas, any idea can happen with "Pure Imagination" ;). The power is in your hands everyone.

I ask for only a few requirements:

1. Who the primary villain is (The Foot Clan, the Kraang, an underused character, or any new character/old character to debut)

2. How many episodes would it last (include what they'd be about if you have something planned too, I'd be happy to hear it)

3. Are there any main story arcs you have in mind? (ex: the triangle of Shredder, Karai, and Splinter)

Apologies with starting another thread, but I am curious to see the imagination of the community.

I guess I'd go with a slightly watered down (pun not intended) version of the Future Turtles' stories from the Archie comics.

If he's still alive, Rat King would be a great antagonist for a season. Otherwise I'd go with the Foot and have a season based on "City at War".

Assuming this is following from Season 3? I guess focusing on Bishop, the EPF and the manipulations of the Rat King, with some gentle focus given to Baxter growing into a more dangerous threat long term.

The current style of 20 episodes seems to work well for length, but for me the critical thing is story arcs. I love having extended stories developed over several episodes, even if its just very slight nudging or foreshadowed mentions in otherwise 'Filler' eps.

Again, assuming this was a season 4 thing - at least one story arc for each of the Turtles - interlinking with each other and tidying up some of the ideas seemingly abandoned or half baked in previous seasons -

Raph's rivalry with Fishface brewing into more personal attacks, his friendship with Slash being sorely tested, or developing his friendship with Casey. Potentially picking up the mind control as a 'foreshadow' of him actually willingly turning evil (or turning against the Turtles - similar to Slash perhaps? Leaving to become a lone vigilante and becoming a rival?)

Mikey's growth from childlike naivety to becoming more adult, developing his role as the groups emotional anchor by giving him a reason to need their emotional support and not him providing it. Maybe revisiting his rivalry with Bradford by allowing Mikey a chance to reconcile with Rahzar?

Donatello finally concluding the love arc with the consequences of whatever result it has (lets go with heartbreak as the example and dealing with that). Resolving the Timothy story, possibly with a need to sacrifice something precious to him (choosing between Timothy's survival and April's friendship?). Developing his relationship with the Rat King (as the Rat King seems to have slightly more knowledge of Don's mind than the others). Putting him in a situation where he refuses to fight and examining his reluctance to fight.

Leo being shown that leadership can have a darker side and dealing with the temptations of power. Loosing Karai and dealing with failure/heartbreak (perhaps as a parallel to Don). Another team member being injured and Leo's response to his failure to lead them safely?

Regardless of what you do, every character should have their beliefs challenged or tested in some way and at least one of their relationships with another character examined in detail.

There should be at least two major fallouts or tragedies to deal with and a solid insidious threat from a well rounded villain.

Not asking much :)

A whole season? I doubt I could plot a whole season, but I'd totally put in the "Dale Evans McGuillicutty" story arch from Vol 1 Mirage.

I think it would work really well with this sort of campy, yet clever, version of the turtles.

Then on a more somber note, I'd probably give "The River" a try.

From the OT I'd love to see "Incredible Shrinking Turtles" and "Cufflink Caper."

And for no reason, no reason what so ever, I'd have these new guys make a run through the big turtle stand off from "Turtle's Forever."
Never explain it, or reference again. Just because.

Just in general Tarris, it doesn't have to be season 4. Just your own ideas for a season of the show. :)

I really do agree that character arcs would be a great addition, especially with the maturing and struggles of the brothers. As for villains, seeing Bishop as a villain in a what-if scenario like this would be fun as well as the return of Rat King and growth of Baxter. Give the two latter a big pay off and satisfying defeat too.

These points I agree with and I can see you are really good at character arcs, feel free to continue sharing when you can. :)

I'd make a very mystical fantasy oriented season, for sure.

Big ass time travel arc that makes reference to Turtles In Time, the third film, Archie's future, various Mirage tales, OT episodes, just put all past TMNT time travel & dimension hopping stuff together into one big thing & of course add new stuff along the way. While Mirage & 4kids have always tied this theme to Savanti Romero, I'd probably give his role to someone else, be it a new character or one from the past. Choate would be a cool one to put in play, if it were brought on by a villain, but if it were more of a mishap than a matter of trying to get the turtles killed, I'd like to see Cudley The Cowlick & Dale Evans McGuillitcutty caught up in it. Dunno what the motive behind their trip would be, but I'd like it to feel more fun than tense. Perhaps April was messing with her powers & accidentally blasted herself across time & the turtles have to track her down by following her ever on the move particle trail or something. You could go in a lot of different directions with it.

I'd want to explore spirituality & magic, too. Get the turtles meditating, visiting the astral plane, learning how to use chi & whatnot. Bring Dragonlord into it. Have Rat King's ghost visiting Splinter like in Mirage, but also checking in with Dragonlord. He's a fencewalker, playing both sides for laughs in the afterlife. Send the turtles to China to learn how to do some ancient technique tying into their out of body experiences & have them run into Vam Mi & her goons along the way. I'd like Hot-head to help them defeat Dragonlord.

I also really want a mafia war. Rival mob factions. Big Louie, Don Turtelli, Mad Dog Mcmutt, Wally "The Beaver" Cleaver, you name 'em. Dunno that they'd have a place in the same season at those other concepts, but it's a want nonetheless. I'd also like there to be one episode for each turtle, focusing on something they're dealing with in their own head. A little development. Oh, & a slice of life styled episode or two. No villain, no drama, just some downtime for the boys. Maybe they try to spend a day being average teenagers, sneaking into a movie & whatnot. Struggling to enjoy it due to the whole need for stealth thing. :tlol:

Archie's World Tour, introducing other Mutanimals, building up Null, maybe leading to interactions with Future Don and Raph.

Archie's World Tour

I actually asked Ciro this question when we interviewed him on the Shellshocked Podcast, though he said it'd be too hard to do that in CGI.

Really fun ideas Powder. :)

Assuming if Next Mutation can be used by the creators, Dragonlord could be a new antagonist alongside Dregg. Combine that with a story involving both the Tribunal saga and Vision Quest and I'd love to see this idea come to life. As for spirits, I'd personally love a ghost filler episode, but I can see the afterlife as an idea rarely seen in the shows. Perhaps alongside superpowers? (Getting ahead of myself)

I wouldn't be surprised by a gang war approaching in the series as a finale or arc, it seems to be a route that could be taken and is my biggest hope for the season 3 finale involving the mind control arc.

The time travel arc would be what I desire the most as a what-if, I already have an idea ready for a plot and planned most of the locations. I would like it to have Shredder as the main villain and have it be a conclusion to the series, but utilize elements from every part of the franchise. Locations are:
-New York City (obviously)

-Ancient Japan (tie to the origins with the live-action trilogy too)

-Dimension X (Triceratons fighting)

-Outer Space (Lord Dregg searching for the Hyperstone ;))

-Alternate reality (the Turtles are brainwashed working for the Foot Clan and later become the Super Turtles, but as villains. Mighty Mutanimals sans Pete are also soldiers for the Foot Clan)

This is what I have so far and will make it in the style of the 26 episodes. Again, really nice ideas. :)

I really like the idea of the turtles being in a different environment like the Northampton arc but my mini season wouldn't be smack dab in the middle of another arc.

What I would do is have them go to sea to where the technodrome was sank and they meet and fought ghost pirate ships along the way and other sea mutants that were created due a mutagen leakage from the technodrome. The group end up getting marooned on a desert island but they discovered that it has a secret government facility with recovered kraang technology. Turtles have to find a way to get the tech so that it doesn't fall in the wrong hands all while trying to find a way to get off the island.

If he's still alive, Rat King would be a great antagonist for a season. Otherwise I'd go with the Foot and have a season based on "City at War".

I could see that happening for an arc or at least have it where the Rat King mutates one of the Turtles/ Casey into a Mutant Rat and the Turtles attempts to cure him. It'd have even more of an emotional impact if it was Donnie that was mutated.

I'd have maybe take an arc story from one series and expand upon it.

For Example, lets take the Good Genes arc
It's largely a three story arc. Technically it's longer then that though, so if the cards are played right it could last at least half a season if not more.

The basic plot is Donnie becomes sick with a cold after being stung by a mutation carrying mutant insect. He turns into a monster and is slowly losing himself to his mutation. In a desperate attempt to save their brother they go to Bishop. Bishop lies to them and informs the Turtles that he would cure their brother, but they have to get something from the Foot Clan for him. Fortunately leather head is able to create a cure from looking at Stockman's attempts.

For example the season could begin with an unexplained mutant outbreak in the city. The Turtles are dealing with it and wondering if the Kraang are back. While dealing with the mutant outbreak Donnie gets scratched by one of the mutants but they don't think anything of it. Donnie studies one the outbreak mutants and finds that the mutagen that mutated it was man made. Scene shifts to Bishop who is overseeing some whitish ooze that is being pumped into the sewers.

Episode 2 Next episode deals with the turtles trying to deal with the outbreak mutants and trying to find the source of the outbreak before Shredder finds out about it. Shredder however also sees an advantage in this outbreak and wants every mutant creature rounded up and captured.

episode 3 Next episode the Mutanimals help out with the out break. It is discovered that a human has been added it the list of mutants, the said mutant is reported and contained by a man working for Bishop named Dirk Savage. Dirk also gives Bishop footage of the Turtles.

episode 4 Next Episode The Turtles are trying to succeed in securing more outbreak mutants and learn the Shredder is doing the same. The mutanimals are captured by Dirk Savage.

Episode 5 Next episode Donnie starts developing cold like symptoms. Episode focuses on April and Casey.

Episode 6 Next episode, Turtles try to contact Mutanimals with no luck. Concerned over what has happened to them, focus on Leo. Donnie's illness becomes worse.

Episode 7 During a mission, Turtles are captured by Dirk Savage and brought to Bishop. All of them are placed in separate cells. Leo is placed in between Rockwell and Mikey, Donnie is placed across from Raph. Raph is next door to Pigeon Pete. Leather head and Slash are on either side of Donnie. Both Slash and Leatherhead have been experimented on which causes them to go into fugue states. They learn that Bishop is the person who created the outbreak mutagen. The reason for it is because after the Kraang got the jump on the EPF and mind controlled everyone who was sent to New York, the government wanted to pull the plug on their organization. The outbreak was only to be used as a means of keeping funding going. Unfortunately the spread went faster then anticipated. Donnie's cell is opened and two EPF guards start to drag Donnie way for experimentation. Raph tells the Bishop to do experiments on him instead. Bishop however ignores this which causes Slash to go into a fugue state as he attempts to break out of his cell. April, Casey, and Splinter arrive and save everyone. Slash tells everyone to get out of the building, he was going to save their brother. When the building explodes everyone is worried that Slash and Donnie didn't make it until they see Slash walk out cradling a weak and feverish Donnie in his arms.

Episode 8 Next episode Donnie is sick in bed. Focus on Raph, Casey, and Slash.

Episode 9 Next episode focus on Mikey. Mikey is worried about Donnie's illness and feels something is off about his brother. Rockwell and April are also concerned that this may not be a typical case of the flu.

Episode 10 and 11 Next Episode Mid-Season Finally. Turtles are going out to scout out what Shredder is doing with the outbreak mutants. April, Casey, and Splinter are staying behind to look after Donnie. When Splinter, April, and Casey are in another room conversing while Donnie is asleep, Donnie's eyes open and glow red before he screams. Casey contacts Raph with his distress signal. Everyone returns to the lair and find it trashed, and a shaken Casey trying to comfort a distressed April and Splinter. The three of them tell the other Turtles that Donnie transformed into some freaking looking monster before racing out of the lair. Turtle contact the mutanimals, Rockwell examines the bandages Donnie had been wearing and the tells that the other Turtles that some of bishops mutagen had entered Donnie's blood stream and that it was at war with his already mutated DNA. It was possible the illness was a catalyst for the transformation process to take place. Rockwell then shows a large containment unit and says he that he built that with Donatello as a means of capturing and studying larger mutations. He never thought that it would have to be used on Donatello. Leo tells everyone that they have no time to waste, they need to find Donnie before Shredder does.

1. Who the primary villain is (The Foot Clan, the Kraang, an underused character, or any new character/old character to debut)

Shredder
Usagi Yojimbo (misled into being a villain but later turn good)
Kraang Prime (without his kraang armies)

2. How many episodes would it last (include what they'd be about if you have something planned too, I'd be happy to hear it)
22-25 episodes.

3. Are there any main story arcs you have in mind? (ex: the triangle of Shredder, Karai, and Splinter)
Exploring each of the boys life challenges in more depth, their hard choices and the repercussion of those choices that leads to the climax of the season's finale.

The Good Genes story arc is the storyline of the 2003 series I want to see adapted into the show. I'd personally like it if Raphael turned into his super mutant state from the Mirage Comics as the character who suffers though, but I can agree with anyone getting the mutant treatment. Really good blend of bringing in both the previous television series with Dirk and Bishop. I must ask though, how would this story end? (once you figure it out, don't want to rush you)

As always, excellent work victoryangel. :)

If Season 4 is supposed to be returning to Dimension X, I would have the finale be a take on IDW #44.

And it could be played out almost exactly the same as the comic. That's the perfect cliffhanger for a season.

As always, excellent work victoryangel. :)

I went with Donnie because in situation such as this they would be lost without him. Leo even explains in the cold opening that if it happened to anyone else, they would have been looking to Don for a cure. And even at the start of the two part Good Genes story line he tells Splinter "I keep wanting to turn to Don to see what brilliant cure he's come up with...but then I remember...that is Don."

The team is greatly effected by Donatello's absence in many cases, but the greatest of all is Splinter, Casey, and April aside...All the turtles really have is each other, and if one of them is gone it hurts the team.

Donnie is the one who balances out the team and without him being a second calm presence Raph and Leo would have killed each other long ago.

So with Raph...he doesn't care who he has to hurt...but he would be a time bomb ready to go off and if Donnie was lost he would want to go take out as Bishop, Savage, and anyone else he felt should suffer for the loss of Donnie.

Mikey would barely be able to keep himself together. I found his reaction during Good Genes the most heartbreaking as he's shown kneeling on the floor looking up at this thing that used to be his intelligent older brother as though his world just died. And then treating the situation as though Donnie was just sick in bed with a cold.

So with Mikey I can see him initially trying to stay positive about everything and how the odds would be in their favor. But it will eventually become clear that he fears losing one of his brothers the most. (Maybe have him going through a five stages of grief kind of thing)

Leo I can see him also trying to keep things positive and insisting that Donnie will be returned to himself, but at the same time they know and fear what he doesn't want to acknowledge which is what should happen if they are unable to find a cure.

Episode 12: Donnie has been captured and contained. He's able to shape shift to his normal form, but each time he returns to his second mutation it's harder for him to become his normal self again. Even when he's normal he refuses to leave the containment for fear of accidentally harming his loved ones.
Rockwell is working to devise a cure and yes he does turn to Donnie for advice when Donnie's in his right mind. The whole situation reminds Leo about Karai and how he failed her. He refuses to let that happen to his brother.

Episode 13: Mikey centered episode. Mikey comes into the lab and talks with Donatallo. Donnie notices that Mikey is strangely subdued. Mikey insists it's nothing but breaks down and comments he's scared that Donnie's not going to get better. Donnie hasn't given up hope just yet...but he has acknowledged that there is a very likely chance that he would be lost to this. Mikey then supplies fond memories as a way of keeping Donnie with them longer which helps ease the pall of grief that rests in the room....but doesn't ease the fear and frustration with it all. Leo and Raph listen to the memories and also have their own childhood memories of Donnie.

Episode 14: Leo and Raph have memory moments with Donatello. At the end Donnie pleads that if a cure can't be found, then he trusts them to know what needs to be done. Both of them understand what Donnie is saying but they are uncomfortable with it.

Episode 15: April talks to Donnie, when Donnie reverts back to his savage monster self. Mikey offers Donnie some pizza as a way to help calm him down however Donnie reached out of the trey hatch and grabs Casey's leg. Everyone tries to get Casey away from Donnie while Splinter helps Donnie find himself again. Donnie returns to himself and is horrified by what he has nearly done. Leo remains behind while everyone else leaves the room, April over hears Leo trying to reassure his brother that everything will be fine and they would see their way past this. Donnie however says "You know as well as I that there isn't a cure, Leo. I rather end it as myself...not a mindless creature. I know this is a heavy task to ask of you...but I can't keep fighting the monster I have become."

^ I also do believe that Donnatello being mutated would cause an even more emotional impact considering Donnatello's the only one intelligent enough to be able to create a Retro-Mutagen and having the Turtles realize that would cause them to miss the positive aspects of Donnatello.

Of course, this is assuming they don't have Mikey B.S. his way into creating more Retromutagen. They would likely have to create this to be a special form of mutation and I would certainly want Raphael to step up and chase down Baxter Stockman for his assistance in curing Donnatello. That would certainly be the side of Raphael that most of his fans would like to see.

I want to c bishop. He is kind.hot.in his evil way.

Purple dragon also cool with me, i want to c more hunt down of them by casey. 2003 just end it too soon...

N they need a new villian than shredder... he is gettin old.... mabe , just maybe, they can reveal a missing son of the shredder, to heritage his evil n revenge on the turtles for his father.

and im hoping for a long show, like detective conan, just keep writing n it never ends.

Of course most important part is to focus on the turtles, on brotherly love on bromance, n to idealize them so to distinguish frm humans or anybody else. P.s. my personal preferance is raph +leo and don+mike.

I would certainly want Raphael to step up and chase down Baxter Stockman for his assistance in curing Donnatello. That would certainly be the side of Raphael that most of his fans would like to see.

Now that is a great idea :)

So if we were running with Victory's idea with the good genes and if we try and incorporate some ideas from the Turtle torture thread;

Say...

1: Following on from Shredder's apparent defeat, the Turtles are feeling elated and celebrating. Baxter is still out there, as are most of the Foot's mutant henchmen. Hun is the focus as he starts to recruit the surviving Foot and starts a crime spree. Hun escapes with Tigerclaw, B+R but Fishface is caught and captured by govt forces and Hun's factory taken from him after Turtles defeat them. Karai still recovering with Splinter and reconciles with April.

2: Rahzar re emerges to take revenge for the Shredder. He starts by trying to hunt down the newly 'healed' Karai. Mikey focus as it becomes clear Rahzar has lost all direction and purpose. He has nothing now except revenge. Mikey tries to offer friendship to him, but Leo and Raph having none of it. Mikey sneaks off to try and meet Rahzar alone, but is followed by govt agents. Mikey escapes them as the govt attacks and captures Rahzar. Rahzar infuriated by Mikey's 'betrayal'. Mikey genuinely shocked he may have been responsible and blames himself.

3: Donatello concerned Muckman hasn't been seen in a while. Mikey determined to try and save Rahzar. Turtles start trying to track down the govt agents responsible for the kidnappings. Casey learns his father is back in town and meets with him. His father gets a lot of info out of him. His father warns Casey to be careful of getting too close to his friends - including April. Mikey awols and Raph follows. As he follows Mikey, Raph catches sight of a govt truck following Mikey and intercepts. Don and Leo realise both of them are missing and follow. Eventually Mikey locates a hidden facility belonging to the EPF and Casey's dad. Mikey is captured, and without knowing what they are following, so are Don and Leo. Raph infiltrates and frees them, realising the facility has several mutants (Spiderbytez, etc). Everyone freed with help from Fishface. Rahzar joins the mutanimals. Episode ends with Brody's announcement of the 'Mutant Danger on our streets'.

4: Taking advantage of the city's fear of mutants, Hun starts using Tigerclaw, B+R to intimidate the other gangs. He also want's Shredders last stocks of mutagen. Don is also interested in raiding Shredder's lair for the last mutagen stocks, as he needs it to help Timothy. Raph keen to engage B+R head on as their intimidation starts threatening to blacken mutants reputations even more. Decision that the mutagen is more important. Confrontation at the Foot's lair. During the fight, Hun and Don are both sprayed with something. Don gets the last of the mutagen and brings it back to the lab. In meantime, Casey talking with April about his dad. April reassures him its nothing to worry about. Viewers shown agents are following and discussing April and Casey leading them to 'the lair'. They person they are talking to over the phone is man in shadows. He cuts to another phone call, questioning other agents about the Good Genes project. They say it has begun.

5: Don has a bad cold and after briefly having his shell handed to him in training goes to bed. He wakes up human (and still with a cold). The world around him appears like all his previous life as a turtle was just some bad dream. The others are humans as well, as is Splinter, B+R and even Shredder. He also sees Pulveriser as his best friend. He is still chasing April, but Casey is still a rival. April acts weirdly however, telling him to wake up. Other strange things occur and he starts to realise the Rat King (his apparent science teacher), knows a lot more what is going on. Eventually realises the Rat King is using his delirious state to make a dream reality to discover where the last of the mutagen is and to hypnotise Don into handing it to him (Don has been sleep walking, April has been trying to reach him). The others manage to fend off giant rats, whilst Don and April snap him back into reality. Don further convinced his mutant appearance is the main barrier to April liking him. Episode ends with Don finding Timothy's family, passing them a note 'from him' to say he'll be home soon.

6: Leo receives a message from Karai to say she has been captured by the EPF and needs help. He is determined to rescue her, but Raph warns him not to rush in without help. Don is still ridden with cold and Mikey (whose had the most physical contact with Don since ep 4) is also feeling unwell. Casey brought in to help instead, and Leo has a plan - contacts Muckman to help. Between them, with background support from Mikey/Don they manage to get Karai out, but Leo is confronted by a bounty hunter called Savage. Karai brought back to the lair safe, but they then realise their existence has been found on camera and leaked to Brody whose reported it as an attack on a govt facility.

7: Don's cold is still bothering him and getting worse. Leo getting concerned, but Mikey seems to be better. Raph says the big baby will get over it. As Don works on the retromutagen he takes a break and goes outside and vanishes. Turtles receive word of a monster turtle nicknamed 'Tokka' by the press attacking the city. Casey is directly hunted down and attacked by it. They realise its Don. Don's randomly mutating into a monstrous turtle, and the monstrous side is getting more frequent. The others manage to bring him to the lair and try to help, April also tries to calm him. B+R take advantage of the chaos to spread some of their own, forcing the turtles to stop them as Don tries to finish the retromutagen to heal himself. He starts to mutate again, and accidentally destroys most of the retromutagen. He has 1 dose left and decides to use it on Timothy. Fearful for April and Casey he flees the lair as his mutation seems to finalise into the 'Tokka' form.

8: 'Tokka' going on rampage but using sewers to evade the EPF. Brody having a field day with the 'scale of the mutant threat' though Pulveriser takes over the report with one defending the mutants. Casey being told by his father to observe just how dangerous the mutants really are. He deliberately starts manipulating Casey to believing he cant trust the turtles any more than any other mutant. Back at lair, Leo and Raph arguing over what to do. Leo says they need help and should get Rockwell, Raph wants to find Don and slap some sense into him. After April decides to go find Don, Raph just leaves - challenging Leo to stop him. Mutanimals face down Tokka but lose badly. B+R sent to hunt down Tokka as well to recruit him for Hun. Raph meets up with Slash and Casey and they agree to go awol from their respective teams to find Tokka. Raph starts to believe Donnie is 'for all intents and purposes' gone and only Tokka remains but he is clearly very upset and blames himself for not seeing it sooner. April finds Tokka in the sewers and manages to calm him, but Raph finds them too. April tries to stand between them, but B+R interrupt and Tokka goes back into a rampage and escapes into the sewers. April is hurt by a rockfall and brought back to lair by Raph/Casey. In meantime Leo and Mikey talk with Rockwell to figure out what happened to Donnie. Rockwell isn't sure but thinks there is some kind of mutagenic virus involved. Mikey is apparently immune because of his previous contact with some kind of retromutagen (Shellacne). He promises to look into it.

9: EPF initiate a mutant crackdown following the Tokka incident. Savage told to capture the creature by Bishop under orders of 'Queen'. Bishop revealed to be Casey's dad, when Casey talks to his father about his concern for April after what happened to her. Bishop tells him its time he told him where the Turtles are, for April's safety as much as Casey's. Raph still awol and tracks Tokka to docks, where Fishface, Tigerclaw and Hun are trying to talk with him. EPF interrupt and Hun's crew escape as Tokka is captured. Raph wonders if he should go back to team up with Leo, but decides he's better off on his own. In meantime Leo meets with Karai as they observe the 'crackdown' in action, fearing its just an excuse to put city under martial law. She warns Leo he might have to choose a side soon if things get much worse. Mikey and Leo are then tricked by Casey into being captured, Casey congratulated by his father, but he feels terrible. Mikey manages to free himself and Leo with Casey's help, and they escape the compound even as Raph is trying to break in. Raph warns them the EPF have Donnie, but they haven't got time or chance to get him and have to flee.
Donnie wakes up in cell, mostly back to himself and is introduced to Bishop and Bishop's boss, the EPF 'Queen' who turns out to be April's mother. They thank him for his assistance so far in starting a panic and start demanding he hands over the secrets of the retromutagen. He refuses, realising they are intending to use mutagen to create mutant soldiers. 'Then you will be our guest for a very long time...'

I could literally carry on for the entire season but I'll be good and let someone else have a go :)

I expect if the mind control arc continues, Shredder would want to use it on Leo or Don.

But if we're talking a whole season... Multiverse and Crossovers! Will never happen but whatever... One Piece! (Only 2d option, I promise) Book of Life for the Day of the Dead/Halloween arc (how cool would it be to see the tmnt as those wooden figures?) The (presumably) shared universe of GLTAS and Beware the Batman as Blackest Night falls and we see lantern tmnt! And finally, the turtles are welcomed into Night Vale!

Guys, I'm really enjoying your ideas so far, especially expanding Good Genes as if it were actually part of the series, so hats off to Tarris and victoryangel.

As for Fast Forward, I'm still a little skeptical but the concept was cool at the time. Perhaps a little more work on it and I've got no problem with it. Then again, I'm all for new interpretations. Keep working on it unworthytinker, it seems cool to me right now. :)

Now, I have been trying to expand my idea of Turtles in Time more, and this is what I have so far. It'll be the Foot Clan as the primary villains and 26 episodes. The story arcs as of this time are as follows:

Turtles in Time (episodes 1 and 2) (sets up the storyline)

Days of Future Past (episodes 3-5) (past and future are both visited)

Duel of Dimension X (episodes 6-9) (obvious name is obvious)

Teenage Alien Ninja Aliens (episodes 10-13) (name reference to what they were suppose to be in the 2014 film, being set in space.)

Project: Doomsday (episodes 18-22) (An alternate reality of New York City like Same As It Never Was with Shredder in control.)

Legacy/Final Issue (episodes 23-26) (ancient Japan along with nods to each part of the franchise, along with the entire storyline)

I still need to think of a storyline and location for episodes 14-17 though.

As for villains:

Shredder (entirety, primarily the first two episodes and the Legacy arc)
Lord Dregg (Space arc and secondary antagonist)

Triceratons (Dimension X arc)

Dark Turtles/Super Turtles (mind-controlled Turtles that later become Shellectro, Graviturtle, Griddex, and Blobboid. Main villains of the Doomsday arc)

Alternate-reality Mighty Mutanimals (All members except Pigeon Pete are mind-controlled and are additions to the Foot Clan’s army. Mondo Gecko replaces Pete and Malachi is added to the roster too. Secondary villains of the Doomsday arc.)

Would anyone like to see the Super Turtles as villains this time as well as the Mutanimals as mind-controlled soldiers? Generally curious before I continue to add more to the thread.

Thanks for the shout out.

I know Donnie wanting his brothers to kill him is somewhat out of character. But I don't see Donnie honestly wanting to lose himself in the form of a mindless monster, and yes I can see him asking his family to grant him that mercy if there was absolutely no hope of his being able to be cured.

Also if played right it can parallel the what is currently going on with Karai as a mutant snake.

(Insert Fonzie's ayyy here. Sorry, I can't post pictures still or videos)

An illness I can see affecting anyone's personality either way, making them more worn out or easily angered. In the case of Donatello, it does work out when written thoroughly. I can see them assisting Donnie but then battling him if the mutation gets out of control. If executed properly in a season (if it does come to be that is) or done with how you and Tarris have written it thus far, I can see Good Genes as a main story arc for the show somehow. Again, crossing my fingers on it. (With what my science teacher has said with sending scripts to the creators, it would be radical to see done by US)

As for Karai, I honestly hope something like that occurs in the show or something emotional. To deter away from this thread for a quick moment, I just want a strong ending to this triangle of her with Shredder and Splinter, it's repetitious by now with "Who is going to own Karai next?" Either cure her (keeping mutation or not) and bring her back home, cause her to lose control and leave both sides for good (possibly Mighty Mutanimals teamup?) just something noteworthy.

I plan on tweaking mine a bit more, since some of it doesn't make sense looking back now. At least my half of the idea. We were up until 2:00 AM spitballing ideas for FF, then I got up and it took like, two hours to gather it all and write it down. Rushy rushy. LOL. Either way, thanks.

I do like the concept of Viral and the Dark Turtles so far. It does feel generally confusing for me a little, but if you were up late it's understandable. :tlol:

Either way, though I consider Fast Forward one of the weakest aspects of the franchise and the 2003 cartoon, I feel the missed potential could be much more fully realized by everyone here. Like I said before, we all have great imagination to put to use. Keep it up amica. :)

I think any season for TMNT which is towards the mid or end of the show's life should aim to find a way to separate the characters - either into individuals or pairs.
Generally to achieve this requires either a major upheaval (such as losing a major battle and being scattered/captured) or having a big falling out among the characters - or a bit of both. That immediately provides a lot of room for conflict and development of stories and character depth.

By splitting up characters, it makes it easier to focus the stories on each individual - Raph could become the lone vigilante, Mikey could become stranded in the woods and forced to mature, Donatello might be trapped in Dimension X, Leo exiled to the wilds for training, etc, etc. The show can touch on the other characters to keep tabs, but generally its always a strong focus on 1 character.

Towards the end of the season it makes it more meaningful when those characters start to come back together again.

So long as the writers can achieve something like that I think it'll be fine. The setting and exact circumstances dont have to matter so much - there's a lot of options to work with from existing TMNT lore.

I am tempted to try a mini synopsis for a turtles in time season though :)

If it means we see more of the character growing, I have no problem with the brothers going on individual routes like Leo did with the 2003 cartoon. Really strong point on it Tarris, it would give significant meaning.

As for a Turtles in Time arc, feel free to ask me to help, I've gotten one story arc ready, which is 4 episodes titled Legacy. It was originally supposed to be an idea I had for ending the series, but I do want to expand it with the other arcs and locations I mentioned earlier on the thread. Here is Legacy:

Episode 23: Legacy, part 1
Narrowly escaping the alternate universe, the Turtles are now knowledged of a doomsday device that will doom all reality. Returning to New York, they head to Shredder’s lair in an attempt to shut the device down and defeat the Foot Clan permanently before complications arise.

The penultimate story arc will take place in an alternate universe of New York, similar to Same As It Never Was.

Episode 24: Legacy, part 2
Landing in the middle of ancient Japan, the Turtles find that this was the start of the conflict. Continuing their pursuit of Shredder, they must work with Hamato Yoshi (Splinter’s human self) and Tang Shen to rescue captive members of the Hamato Clan from a dangerous Japanese warlord and prevent the destruction of their existence.

This idea is based primarily on bringing up the origins and TMNT 3 together. The warlord Norinanga (however you spell it) is the warlord too.

Episode 25: Legacy, part 3
Leaving off from last time, the Turtles continue their final battle with the Shredder above on the rooftops before being brought to Renet’s homeworld. Their overconfidence will prove to be their fatal mistake, leading to a major rebirth that’ll doom all those around them.

Essentially a set up for the finale part and being a little more goofy with an area of all parts of the franchise to boot in it!

Episode 26: Legacy, part 4
The seemingly dead Shredder has returned, injuring Casey, Splinter, and April as well as kidnapping Karai. In addition, the highly dangerous weapon has been composed by the controlled Baxter Stockman which will doom all of humanity. With their backs on the wall, the Turtles must brave their way back to Shredder’s lair and end the nightmare once and for all, or else risk the living of all around them...

I did mention this on the Turtle Torture thread, but I'll keep my spoilers away.

Other episode title names I have at this time are the two part starter named "Turtles in Time" and the entirety of an entire outer space arc with Lord Dregg. Those names are "Go! Go! Alien Turtles!" (PR FTW), "Turtle Trek" and "The Hyperstone Heist".

Dimension X, the past, future, and one other location I need to learn of.

Maybe the Turtles separating is something like Leo's training journey in the 2007 film. Each of the turtles are sent on a separate journey.

Before they leave Donnie hands his brothers a note book so they can keep a journal of their progress. They can't bring their Leo journey's to the jungles of south america. Donnie goes to a rural forest in Japan. And Mikey would be sent to a rain forest in china. Raph is the only one who will stay in New York.

Raph is confused as to why he was the only one left behind while his brothers get to see the world. Splinter tells him that journeys come in all forms and part of his journey is to stay home.

As the year passes they do get monthly letters from the others about how their journey's going. However after a month or so Donnie's letters seem to stop coming. No one thinks any thing of it at first as it they think that maybe he hasn't been able to write. April contacts Leo with her T-phone just to be sure and Leo tells he hasn't heard from Donnie lately...he assumed that perhaps they were out of range. Mikey hasn't heard from Donnie either, and he's worried that their brother may have wandered into Aokigahara (a Japanese forest that is historically associated with Japanese Demons and a popular place for suicides)

April gets the feeling something is wrong...but she doesn't believe Donnie is dead. She tries contacting Donnie's phone and gets his voice mail message.
April: Hey Donnie it's me April, we haven't heard from you in a while....can...can you call me back when you get this.

As April leaves the voice message we pan out on Donnie's T-Phone and belongings which are just left in the middle of nowhere. and there are signs the Shredder's goons such as Tiger Claw has been there as well.

Quoted from Goldmutant
Episode 24: Legacy, part 2
Landing in the middle of ancient Japan, the Turtles find that this was the start of the conflict. Continuing their pursuit of Shredder, they must work with Hamato Yoshi (Splinter’s human self) and Tang Shen to rescue captive members of the Hamato Clan from a dangerous Japanese warlord and prevent the destruction of their existence.

This idea is based primarily on bringing up the origins and TMNT 3 together. The warlord Norinanga (however you spell it) is the warlord too.

Nobunaga ;)
I always shudder when series start using established historical figures :) For me at least, it always felt uncomfortable because it cant get around the can of worms of disrupting historical accuracy or doing daft things with famous people. Bill and Teds Excellent adventure drives me nuts for exactly this reason.

It works a lot better I think, if they use a character of their own creation within that setting. So - in this example -lets call this warlord Norinaga and have him just be a generic warlord to act as a villain - then you can literally do whatever you want with him within the story :)

So a Time arc would involve

Alternate present/near present setting
Past (Feudal Japan)
Future
And presumably the 'real present'?

I dont know if you guys remember a show called Sliders? It was all about parallel dimensions and alternate realities. Later seasons dealt with the idea of one reality invading the others to create an Empire. That might be an interesting idea to adopt to introduce Dregg or the Triceratons as a villain (or even reintroduce the Kraang), and have characters like Jhana, Renet, Mona Lisa, Fugitoid or the Neutrinos appear as fugitives fleeing from an invaded reality.
As the Kraang were already more or less doing this, it could easily be incorporated that this 'interdimensional rebellion' realised the Turtles defeated the Kraang and come to Earth to ask for their help.

Newtralizer also describes the Kraang as 'the most treacherous creatures in all 10 dimensions' which also gives an indication of at least 8 other dimensions to play around with even in the current iteration.

If Renet were to appear say ep 1-2, show a turtle a possible future where Earth is enslaved by Shredder/Dregg/Triceratons. She could explain to stop it happening they have already missed their chance, and must go back in time to stop something happening (say stop the construction of the Kuro Kabuto).
I forget the guys name, but Shredder mentions the founder of the foot clan in Legend of the Kuro Kabuto, he could easily be a villain for a few episodes (and it could be implied that the Turtles interference with the early Foot clan is what starts the whole Hamato/Foot feud)

They could then come back to the 'present' to find something has gone wrong, and they are trapped in another dimension or the future and have to figure out a way back.

Eventually they work their way back to liberate an enslaved present or defend it from impending invasion as the finale.

A turtles in time plot the way I would vision it would be similar to the Turtles in Time IDW story line.

The Turtles have already met Renet and fought Savantei Ramero. The turtles are hanging out at lair when Renet arrives. Mikey is glad to see her as he had become smitten with her the moment he met her.

Raph is annoyed by this and demands to know why she's here because whenever she shows up trouble is not far behind.

Renet tells them that there is a journey they need to take. She can't tell them where they are going or what they have to learn because the time staff has a mind of it's own. As she says this the time staff glows and they are all hurtled through time.

The first six episodes would focus on Mikey (IDW this part focuses on Raph). The Turtles find themselves in the time of the Dinosaurs. (Renet appears to them at times but her voice keeps fading in and out) Probably witnessing the Kraang beginning their plans to turn the Earth into Dimension X and mutating monkeys so they start evolving into humans.

Next part they arrive in ancient japan (Leo centered story line) Turtles unintentionally start the feud between the Hamato Clan and the Foot. Either that or they see the Foot Clan being attacked by the Hamato Clan. They see Splinter's father find infant Oroku Saki. They all know what sort of monster Oroku Saki grows up to be and thinks if he's destroyed now, Splinter can live with his wife and child and never have to be a rat. But Leo counters that yes that child grows to be their greatest enemy, but without him...they wouldn't exist.

Next part centered on Raph, (This is centered on Mikey in the IDW) This could either be set around the war of Trafalgar or world war 2.

Through out these journey's Renet sporadically appears to them but her voice fades in an out.

Finally they arrive in a future version of New York. The turtles at first ready themselves for anything, but soon find that majority of the population are mutants and they aren't paying them any mind. They do see signs telling them to Obay the Shredder and Foot Insignia everywhere. Also the city has been renamed "Foot Island" While they are walking Renet appears to them once again, but this time she is able to fully talk to them.

A mob of bounty hunters sees them and thinks they are resistance. The Turtles run for it when they see a cloaked person waving to them and telling them to follow him if they want to live. They follow him and they find themselves in what they recognize as the lair. Leo thanks the cloaked person for helping them before asking who they were.

Cloaked person: The more accurate question should be "Who was I?"

Renet tells them they really shouldn't be encountering one another. The cloaked person is turns out to to be an elderly version of Donatello. Mikey looks around and asks where the older versions of the rest of them are. Future Don goes quiet... moment before glancing at the place where Splinter had the shrine to his wife and daughter. Three ninja masks (one blue, one red, and one orange), Casey's hocky mask and April's fan are there implying the others are dead.

At the end of the arc, Donnie tells his future-self that he has a hard time accepting this will be his future. Future Don however tells him that the future is hypothetical and can still be rewritten. Then the final part of the episode after they've returned home, Donnie needs to spend some time alone. Raph finds him looking at his mask and asks if anything is bothering him. Donnie sighs and says that he was just thinking about what his future self had told him. He then says while his futureself didn't say it in words...it was clear that the others all died because of something he did or didn't do. The others reassure him that whatever happened...he never gave up fighting for their sake. And they don't want him to give up now because of something that may or may not happen in the future.

The 1st half would be similar 2 the glimpse of the future idea I posted in the turtle torture thread, the 2nd half would be a good genes story branching off from that

Ep 1-2 - arriving in the future/fighting against dark shadow soldiers/Leo getting poisoned

Ep 3-8 - find out about wats going on/meet a few groups of resistance/try 2 find a cure 4 the poison/fight off dark shadow soldiers

Ep 9 - mikey helps w raiding some convoys 4 supplies/Donnie continues 2 try and find a cure 4 the poison despite wat the resistance groups say

Ep 10 - Donnie and mikey help a free world resist becoming part of the dark shadows empire but fail

Ep 11 - Leos condition continues 2 decline so Don decides 2 take Leo w him 2 get the cure from the dark shadow where Don learns about the dark shadows true identity, reasons, and a few secrets

Ep 12 - Don narrowly escapes raphs fortress w Leo despite Leos deteriorating condition

Ep 13 - Unable 2 find a cure 4 the poison and no other options, renet takes Donnie and mikey back 2 prevent Leo from getting poisoned

Ep 14 - After saving Leo from his grim fate, mikey and Donnie fill in Leo about wat happened 2 him and during the time he was poisoned, Don then goes on explaining about how the dark shadow turned out 2 be raph and how karai was there and how a near death event changed him

Ep 15-16 - deciding on seeing wat happened that caused raph 2 change in2 dark shadow, they attempt 2 find out when it happened/After finding out when it happened and trailing raph 2 a abandoned kraang lab containing experimental chemicals, raph(under the mind control again) spots them, during the fight in the lab, the security system is triggered and a laser beam hit 3 of the containers, causing them 2 explode, Leo tries pushing raph out of the way but both were caught in the blast, getting badly burned in the process, Donnie has renet send them back 2 their own timetime, after they get back 2 the lair, Leos burns heal almost instantly

Ep 17 - Still determined 2 help raph and stop the future they saw from happening, they ask Rockwell 4 help in freeing raph, after a bit of reminding raph of childhood memories, they free raph and escape, l8r while they r relaxing, Don is checking out Leos health 4 any sign of the burns and glances at his computer, when a tiny amount of shadowy smoke rises from Leos fingers

Ep 18 - they decide 2 spend some time at the farmhouse after the events that happened, while there, the chimera shows up near the farmhouse, during the fight, Leo notices dark smoke around his hand and decides 2 use that 2 his advantage, afterwards he tells Donnie about it, that night while sleeping, his skin briefly turns black

Ep 19 - Donnie is still going through a lot thinking back on how raph was in that future and all the stuff he did but stops thinking on it when Leo has them go hiking, while mikey was wandering off the trail some, he ends up falling in2 a hidden cave system and twists his ankle which Donnie forces him 4 stay put while they get some rope, while waiting on Donnie 2 bring the rope, black mist starts pouring out of his arms and covering the ground, raph notices while Leo starts panicking some but it stops just as randomly, soon after Donnie gets back and after getting mikey out, they head back though raph keeps a close eye on Leo, that night while sitting around the campfire, raph starts asking questions about wat happened but be4 he has a chance 2, Leos skin turns black off and on 4 a few min then he doubles over and collapses on2 the fire, they quickly pull him up and r surprised he didn't get burned

Ep 20 - the next morning, they check on Leo and find him feverish, not waking up, and his arms r entirely black, at the sight, Donnie gasps no and mikey buries his head in2 Donnie, which makes raph curious and demands 2 know wats going on, Donnie sits down on Leos bed w mikey still on his shoulder and insists that raph sit down be4 he goes on telling about the future they saw, his alternate self, Leo getting poisoned and the events at the lab, then states how Leo looked when he was poisoned and now is identical except 4 the entry point, Donnie then says that he thought if they could stop Leo from getting poisoned then he would live but reminds himself that the burns were so severe that they shouldn't have healed as fast as they did and starts sniffling, after hearing everything that happened and that Leo risked his life 4 raphs future self, raph gets up and kneels beside the bed, putting a hand on Donnie and mikey, 2gether, they vow 2 help Leo get better

Ep 21 - Leo still hasn't woken up so they decide on returning 2 the city after carefully moving him 2 the party wagon, on the way, Leos skin occasionally turns black be4 fading again in most spots, little did they know that on the outskirts of the city, bishops men were looking 4 them

Ep 22 - they made it back 2 the lair w/out being spotted, once there, Donnie was doing some tests on Leo in his lab and was finishing when Leo woke up, Don excitedly called 4 raph and mikey just be4 noticing the shadows that were surrounding Leos hands, Don took a nervous gulp be4 having raph and mikey hurry up although it was 2 late, Leo effortlessly encased Don in shadows and pinned him 2 the wall, mikey and and raph saw but were unable 2 stop Leo from escaping, as Donnie dropped 2 the floor, all raph could do was stare as he asked if wat he did was any worse which he felt bad 4 Donnie after hearing ooo yeah, 25x worse

Ep 23 - After Leo took off, it took awhile 2 find him and after sending mikey after Rockwell, they managed 2 find him though be4 they had a chance 2 keep Leo from pulling shadow clouds, bishops men find them and catch Leo

Ep 24-25 - despite not being able 2 find where Leo was taken, Donnie and Rockwell tested the chemicals that Leo got burned w and after snatching a sample of the improved mind control serum and adding in wat Donnie learned from wat raph aka dark shadow told him, they determined that the serum added a lvl of mental stability 2 the chemicals that made them like living shadows though in reverse order there was no guarantee on the same effect so after long debate, they finally made a derivative of the serum that excluded the mind control so it would only return Leos state of mind, at that same time though it took much effort, Leo managed 2 escape bishops forces

Ep 26 - 2 wks going by w/out finding any sign of leo, they spot a few of bishops men and follow them 2 a alley, where leo is surrounded by gov agents, they jump in and help when leo, now unable 2 see and solely relying on the heat sources, pins raph and all the agents 2 the buildings and about 2 crush their lungs when mikey shouts 4 leo 2 stop, surprised Leo hesitated but wasnt really able 2 pinpoint the direction, just the warm energy around him, after a min of silence, Leo asked if mikey was there, which mikey grinned big at, after a moment of silence following the burst of warmth, Leo said that bishops men did something 2 him that helped clear his head but since then, all he could see was thick grey clouds, Donnie sighed in relief at Leos mind being clear so that the derivative wouldn't have 2 be used and insisted that once Leo dropped raph, they could see wat could be done about the sight issue which, after leo figured out where raph was(w some help from donnie and mikey), he immediately released raph be4 crushing the agents that he had in his grip, however after looking in2 leos eyes and seeing them almost glassy and distant, he stated that it wouldn't be easy which caused fear 2 wrap around leos heart while unintentionally, his chest was covered in a dark cloud

The 1st 5 eps of the next season focus on restoring Leos vision

Here's a more complete version of the good genes arc I thought up.

Episode 1 An unexplained mutant outbreak in the city.

Episode 2 Next episode deals with the turtles trying to deal with the outbreak mutants and trying to find the source of the outbreak before the city becomes more effected by it.

Episode 3 The Mutanimal's return to help out with the out break. It is discovered that a human has been mutated, the said mutant is reported and contained by a man working for Bishop named Dirk Savage.

Episode 4 Next Episode The Turtles are trying to succeed in securing more outbreak mutants when they are confronted with Bebop and Rocksteady who are also trying to capture outbreak mutants.

Episode 5 Next episode Donnie starts developing cold like symptoms. Episode focuses on April and Casey. Casey asks April if she like's Donnie better then him.

Episode 6 Next episode, Turtles try to contact Mutanimals with no luck. Patrols have become more dangerous with the Anti-mutant task forces roaming the city.

April's promutant blog comes to Joan Grody's attention and she personally asks April for an interview about her "Mutant Turtle Friends" April however refuses because she knows Grody would twist her words. Grody gets frustrated and tells April she's only giving the public what it wants to hear.

Episode 9 Next episode focus on Mikey. Mikey is worried about Donnie's illness and feels something is off about his brother. Raph brushes it off as nothing, but Leo is concerned that Mikey may be on to something. Rockwell and April are also concerned that this may not be a typical case of the flu. Further anti-mutant task forces events.

Episode 10 and 11 Next Episode Mid-Season Finally. While the other turtles are on patrol.

At the end Donnie pleads that if a cure can't be found, then he trusts them to know what needs to be done. Both of them understand what Donnie is saying but they are uncomfortable with it.

Episode 15: April talks to Donnie, when Donnie reverts back to his savage monster self. Mikey offers Donnie some pizza as a way to help calm him down however Donnie reached out of the open trey hatch and grabs Casey's leg and attempts to rip it off. I know this is a heavy task to ask of you...but I can't keep fighting the monster I have become. Leo simply responds by saying "Where there is life...there is hope."

Episode 16: Donnie's condition is getting worse by the moment harder for himnd to maintain himself. Donnie at one point breaks into tears and tells his brothers that he's scared and that he doesn't want it to end...not like this. Leo risks opening the containment unit and giving his brother a comforting hug and reassures him everything would be alright. During the hug however Donnie realizes he's starting to transform. He immedately and roughly pushes his older brother away from him. Raph realizes whats going on and closes the containment unit before Donnie can escape. Rockwell notices this tranfomation was quicker then the other ones. This means Donnie is secumbing to his mutation. Leo realizes they have no choice...they need to find Bishop.

Episode 17: April comforts Mikey while Leo, Raph, Slash and Leatherhead all go out to locate Bishop. Rockwell is pouring over Donnie's notes about Bishops mutagen in attempts to find a cure.

Episode 18: Donnie is brought to Bishop for a cure. Casey is surprised that Bishop is his father. Dirk Savage brashly says there isn't a cure and it would be easier to just put their brother down. He misfires and breaks open the contaiment unit instead. The other Turtles, Slash, Leatherhead, and Pete go out to track down and secure Donnie before he causes a panic. Casey wants to go out but Bishop won't let him. So he stays with April, Splinter, and Rockwell but he gets it in his mind his father is not the man he thought he was.

Episode 19-20 finally: Joan Grody is reveling in the hype that her reports on the outbreak and the mutant turtles are bringing. Becomes even more happy to hear news of a giant monster turtle attacking the city. Leo in the mean time tells everyone don't hurt Donnie unless you absolutely have to after all this is their brother. Raph says he doesn't think that would be the problem...he's more worried about Donnie hurting him. Rockwell is able to create a cure and everyone rushes off to go administer it. Joan Grody is reporting on the monster Turtle, April however snatchs the mic from her and tells the camera "Do not believe a word that woman was saying...she is lying about the Turtles and only saying what would gain her ratings." Rockwell uses his psychic powers to subdue Donnie so her administer the cure while Slash and Leatherhead held him down.
Bishop shows up with a group of the EPF and tells they are all under arrest for public disturbance and public endangerment. Casey tells Bishop he can't do this. Bishop tells Casey he needs to choose between his family or these mutants. Casey yells back "I don't need to choose...these mutants are my family." The Turtles are able to escape in a blast of concealment smoke. Back at the lair Donnie wakes up to find everyone around him. Casey looks on as April tends to Donnie as he recovers. Raph asks Casey if he is okay with this outcome. Casey states that maybe he always knew April liked Donnie more...

I honestly don't know how the next season should play out, but this is what should happen by the end of the third. Karai has been somewhat cured, but even though she’s normal, she still has the power to shapeshift into a serpent. The main problem now is Shredder. With the help of Kraang Sub-Prime (Yes, still alive), Shredder and the Foot team up with the Kraang to capture both people that benefit them: April and Karai. At the same time, the Kraang are trying to take over the world, while the Foot tries to commit an act of terrorism. This could be a new take on City at War.

Donnie gets to use the retro-mutagen on Timothy, bringing him back to his normal human self. However, Timothy is angry at him for doing this because now he feels his monstrous mutation changed him for the better. How he does that, well . . . he kind of strangles Don and tries to head to the mutagen. April comes in and does beat the guy down to defend Donnie, but Timothy throws her aside, grabs a capsule of mutagen and becomes the monster again, but this time, bigger, and a lot more hideous. So, then he leaves the lair and heads to the city to wreak havoc. Now, Donnie and April will have to battle Mutagen Man before the monster starts running to a spot where the mayor is giving a speech. Donnie is unseen, but April makes sure the politician is safe and that Mutagen Man is tamed. However, Mutagen Man begins to see a familiar face: his mother. He stops and whispers, “Mom?” Don shoots out some retro-mutagen and turns him back into a human. As he looks at her, she embraces her son and cries happily holding him tight. Everything seems to be fine for Don and April now, but chaos ensues when April is taken captive by the Kraang. Now, it’s up to Donnie to rescue her. However, when he gets to TCRI, he discovers April fighting on her own with her powers and kunoichi skills. He joins in, but tries to express his feelings about her, ending it with she belongs with Casey. April responds, “Why do I have to choose? I like all you guys.” “You like me AND Casey?” Donnie asks. Then April says, “I mean you, Casey, your brothers, Sensei!” As they fight, April tells him how much she has admired each of everyone she cares about, and though this is not what Donnie expected to hear, he realizes it makes sense. Everything seems to be running smoothly during their encounter. However, one of the Kraang aims a projectile or laser device at April. While the beam doesn’t kill her, she discovers that her powers have been stripped away. This angers Donnie and he goes all out on the Kraang. This should be an awesome moment for him. When he’s done, he goes over to April and asks if she’s okay. She responds, “Actually, yeah. I’m great.” Here, she’s glad she lost her powers, and that makes Donnie surprised, yet relieved that she’s fine. (I’ll be honest. I have this here because I am getting tired of her becoming the next Phoenix, if you know what I mean).

Now we go to Mikey and Raph. Their mission is to rescue Casey Jones from this man who has threatened his family. At this point, it could be Hun, but the two turtles believe it’s the mob boss (the one we’ve seen in “Casey Jones vs. The Underworld”). Now here, we should see some good major bonding between the two. When they finally get to their destination to rescue Casey, Raph and Mikey encounter Fishface and Rahzar. But you might not expect this, but Raph fights Rahzar and Mikey fights Fishface. Like the switch-up? Now, both turtles do defeat them, but since all of us want something great with Raphael on this series, he proves to be a real badass when knocking the crap out of Rahzar, but also . . . HUN! Mikey does fight alongside his brother, but most of the time, he’s preoccupied by Foot Ninjas and the Mob Boss. Mikey does prove to be highly skilled when he thinks of a clever way to outsmart the gangster and throws him down. Now, that’s Mikey’s way of “whacking” his opponent. Sorry. I don’t see him killing anyone, but if anyone gets the joke, that’s awesome. Anyway, Raph saves Casey, but in this all glory clash between him and Hun. Trust me, Raph will do something so awesome to kick this guy’s behind, the poor Purple Dragon leader won’t see it coming. Probably some kind of secret ninja move that Raph decided to use for the first time to defeat his opponent. When that’s over, Casey and Raph bask in their ninja action alongside Mikey to escape. Here, we really get to see a time where Raph thanks Mikey for believing in him, and looks back at Casey to give a friendship fist pump that suddenly turns into a hug. Maybe that’s the comical part, but it will give something more to Raph.

To the biggest part before the ending: Leo, Splinter, and Karai infiltrate the Foot tower (that’s right, the Foot has moved to TCRI since they’re doing business with Kraang Sub-Prime). Things seem to go as planned, but Tiger Claw is leading Bebop and Rocksteady, and it’s not going well for them. Tiger Claw happens to find them a complete annoyance. While Shredder is aware of what’s going on, he feels the need to be in hiding so he won’t be encountered. Too bad, Splinter is looking for him, but he has to fight off Foot Bots in order to go after his enemy. Meanwhile, Leo and Karai work together to distract Bebop and Rocksteady so they can break a portal that leads to this hellish world. Before this, they try to trace where Shredder’s latest weapon of terrorism is hidden. But as they do this, Karai confesses to Leo that she was sorry for being wrong all these years, and that she denied something that she never mentioned to him: she really did like him. Leo forgives her like this, “Hey. It’s not your fault. You didn’t know. But I will admit, I was pretty stupid when I tried getting your attention that first time we met.” She gets closer to him and responds, “No, you weren’t. You were right. I just didn’t think you’d be like, you know . . . my brother.” Leo smiles and says, “Then, I guess that closes the book on us.” Suddenly, they find what they’re looking for, and then that’s when they encounter Tiger Claw and the “two morons,” as Leo calls Shredder’s henchmen. Their fight shows Leo being the one of the best fighters against Tiger Claw, nearly pummeling him. Karai, however, not only uses her ninja skills on the pig and rhino, but her snake powers to mislead them. So the fight does get intense, but Bebop and Rocksteady get beaten so hard, that they’re thrown out of the room before Leo and Karai lock the door. Karai makes the finishing blow on Tiger Claw and Leo opens up a portal that sucks the bounty hunter in. Now, it’s not the hellish world, but instead, probably the Next Mutation universe. I don’t know. That would be hilarious to see his reaction at those turtles. He’d probably scream, “What is happening here?!” Back at the tower, Karai asks if Leo learned to open the portal from Space Heroes, but his response is simple and sensible: “Well, when you’ve got a brother who’s a genius, you can learn a great amount from him.” Suddenly, the door opens and comes in Splinter, exhausted. We discover that he found the room where Shredder was in, but during his attack, he also found out that he was battling a hologram, and that the real Shredder is in another room of the building. Sadly, he doesn’t have the clues to search for him quickly.

Continuing on the next post . . .

Warning! If you haven't read the top post, you might be confused. Check at the previous post if you want the whole story idea.

So, time kind of passes, and all the turtles and friends unite. Now, they find themselves in a battle they don’t want to be in. Splinter, April, and Casey are attacked by Kraang and Foot Soldiers, but by accident, they fall into this secret passageway that show familiar faces: real humans of the Kraangs’ bodies. The real Irma is there, and so is an older woman and a man that looks like a human Kraang in a suit named Norman. April and Casey get them out while Splinter keeps watch of the room. Yes, they are a little frightened by his appearance, but they quickly show some trust after Splinter explains, “Don’t worry. We’re the good guys. You can trust us.” Throughout, April, Casey, Splinter, Irma, and a few other humans try to foil the Kraang and the Foot. As this goes on, Shredder finds Bebop and Rocksteady and immediately grabs them into his hideout room, where the whole battle is on camera. Here, he asks Bebop and Rocksteady if they secured Kraang Sub-Prime’s territory, which is a large control room containing dangerous chemicals. They say, “Yes,” but Shredder begins to have his suspicions.

Downstairs, where the main enemy is at, Karai and the turtles stop to take their chances on more of the bad guys. Together, the turtles show great stealth. So does Karai, but as a snake more than a human. Once they discover the room, they realize that in order to kill Kraang Sub-Prime, someone has to go in there and distract him and blow the whole thing up. Leo offers to go in, but Raph refuses and says, “No way, Leo! You’ve done enough! Last time, you almost lost your head from Shredder! I’m not losing you again! Not this time!” Leo feels it’s the best way to keep his family safe, but Don refuses, too. “He’s right, Leo,” he says. “I know you mean well, but we love you, bro. I’m not willing to see you go down this time.” Leo and Raph kind of get into an argument, but not a heated one, until Mikey says, “I’ll do it!” They tell him he’s being crazier than Leo, but the youngest one responds, “Look! I’ve been an important part of this team! I may not be the brightest, but I sure can be the bravest!” Leo freaks, of course, “No way! Not my little brother!” The argument does start to pick up, but Karai steps forward and says, “I’ll go.” They stop and turn to see her. She looks serious and sure of herself. “I’ll take care of the alien.” Leo, a little shocked, steps forward: “Why?” he asks. “Sensei won’t allow it.” Karai sighs and responds, “I may be his daughter, but he didn’t have me the same way he did with you. You’re the ones that he loves. Besides, since you are a, you know, team, why would you wanna break that?” She goes into the room, and the door shuts. Leo starts pounding on the door, because none of the turtles can open it. Karai has blocked the door and no one can enter. Instead, they watch their sister fight back as a snake against the evil warlord from Dimension X. After Karai makes her final blow, Kraang Sub-Prime shoots a laser into the chemicals, creating an explosive concoction. As the room slowly becomes engulfed in flames, Karai transforms back into a human and smiles at the turtles. She then closes her eyes.

The flames take her away as the room continues to fall apart. From the hidden room, Shredder says, “NOOOOOOO!” From a platform above the fire, Splinter cries, “NOOOOOO!” Lastly, in the room where the turtles are, Leo, with his hand on the glass, screams at the top of his lungs as tears stream down his face: “NOOOOOOOO!” Everything inside the room is in ruins. Leo continues to bang onto the window, screaming for Karai. Don quickly comes over to snap his brother out of it, but Leo gives him a look like he’s going to hit him. However, he lowers his fist, tilts his head down, and instantly sobs into Donnie’s chest. “I’m so sorry, Leo,” says a choked-up Don, patting his brother’s back. “We’re all sorry,” responds Raph, trying to hold back the tears. However, poor Mikey breaks down in front of him and says, “She was our sister, man! She was our only sister!” Raph comes over to hug Mikey, who just like Leo, is crying on his brother’s plastron. Up top, Splinter starts crying into his own hand and says, “I can’t believe it. Miwa. My daughter. Gone.” April comes over and comforts him. Casey and Irma look down to see the scene, but she does feel bad, even though she’s confused. At the secret room, Shredder silently, as if he was crying, says, “Karai.” Then he turns around at Bebop and Rocksteady: “This is all your fault! You fools are fired!” He starts throwing things at them before they leave the room. Shredder turns around and takes his blade to destroy the computer screen with his blades. Back downstairs, Leo continues crying on Don’s chest. A door to the room opens, and out comes Splinter, all blood shot from the tears to see his sons, they all look at him, showing blood shot eyes. He stares at Leo and says, “What happened?” Leo tries to speak, but constantly has to fight the tears and sobbing. “Um,” he says, “She did what she had to. For us.” Splinter understands what he means, but he can’t help to see his son so upset. The two embrace one another and hold on to each other as April and Casey start to become teary-eyed themselves. “Oh, my son,” says Splinter as he sniffs. Leo can hardly control his feelings and screams, “I tried to stop her! I’m sorry, father! I’m so sorry I let you down!” Leo sobs harder into Splinter’s chest. “No, Leonardo,” the rat replies. “This was her decision. If it weren’t for her, none of you would be here.”

After the pain stops, the turtles, Splinter, April, and Casey free the humans to go home. As the remaining begin to plan what to do when they get home, Leo stops and says, “Home is nowhere now. Not in the same way like the past.” He turns to his brothers with a stern face and starts giving this monologue. He then ends with, “Until Shredder is finished for good, not only is the city at war, but we, too, are at war!” The episode ends there.

So, guys. What do you think?

I thought this would contain all that we wanted – some good Raph scenes and storylines, the end of Apriltello, another great (dis)honorable homage, more humans, Timothy is cured, Irma being real, and the turtles in tears. Feel free to respond.

Wow. Dont know where to start with these :teek:

@ Bauer

That's probably the most likely Apritello ending I've seen suggested. I'd have to say that although I would love to see the return of Kraang Sub Prime, I dont know if I would want to see the Kraang back as an Empire scale threat so soon when there are other villainous groups to try out first.

Quite like the idea of Mutagen man remaining a badguy even after being cured, but I would also be happy with a happy ending for Timothy as well. Good idea though :)

I dunno if you managed to give Raph enough though, if you were aiming for him to have more story focus. A lot of it feels very Leo centred for me - mostly because its focusing on Karai. Maybe having Karai and Raph be seperated from the others for a while and forced to work together. That may bring them together more as brother and sister and make her eventual sacrifice that much more painful; especially as he's the one who distrusted her most.

The more people talk about the Good Gene's storyline the more I think it would work really well for Nick and as a means of introducing Bishop as a villain (especially if he was the one behind it in the first place) :)
I was wondering if it could be altered to mimic some aspects of the 2014 movie, even giving Bishop some similarities to Sachs.

Do you think that it would work to have mutated Donnie talk with Karai? I was thinking in your line up at about Ep12? Rather than have him be recaptured so quickly that he instead meets Karai and they have a quiet moment talking about the 'monsters inside all of us'. It just seems that she's been through very similar and it might be interesting to have that parallel.

Also I think it would work to avoid the cure seeming too easy (as it was a bit with Battle of New York) if you were to tie in that two of the turtles are initially infected. Don turns into a monster, but the other turtle (Mikey seems a good choice here) turns out to be immune and that way his blood is key to creating a cure (again referencing the 2014 movie). I was thinking Mikey especially as you could tie in his experience from the exposure to rejected retromutagen (shellacne) to explain why he is immune - plus that way it self references the show and makes the shellacne episode seem less like filler :) Plus Mikey's fear of potentially turning into a monster like Don could be interesting to see, especially if his immunity was a bit 'touch and go'.

Hey, thanks! I will admit, I like Raph, but I really didn't have a fully fleshed idea for him. I do like the idea of him teaming up with Karai, but that should be after she and Leo close the book on their past. We could always have Tiger Claw escape the portal to fight back ,but Hun should be Raph's nemesis. We should have him confront Karai, too.

Also, Timothy is back to normal.

was thinking over the last portion of my idea and instead of working on leos vision being restored in the beginning of the following season, decided on eps would still focus on it but potentially lead 2 demon shredder being brought in

Ep 27 - don examines leos eyes thoroughly and finds out that leo can still see changes in the amount of light, however leo starts having a mental relapse, which 2 their dismay, forces them 2 use the derivative

Ep 28 - after hearing about his relapse and still unable 2 see, w/ some guidance, heads 2 his room and refuses 2 come out/don starts working on possible cures

Ep 29 - leo finally stops dwelling on wat he almost did 2 his family, april stops by, while leo is being guided over 2 the couch, he ends up falling over the couch and rolls in2 tv, causing it 2 fall over on him and some glass pierces his leg, while raph and mikey rush 2 leos side, don, april, and splinter come out of the lab after hearing the racket, at the sight, splinter flattens his ears 2 his head in concern while don darts over and after the tv is pulled off of leo, checks out any damage, after almost nonstop groaning from leo, don manages 2 pull out all the broken glass though while doing so, finds out leo ended up breaking his leg

Ep 30 - after trying out over a dozen possible cures, leos hope starts diminishing, as a way of trying 2 cheer leo up, april and splinter start helping him w/ focusing on his other senses (though still having trouble w/ pinpointing the direction of a sound cause the condition of his eyes is also distorting his hearing) and after how leo explains that he can feel sources of heat, start helping him on telling apart the masses of heat

Ep 31 - while april is helping leo on being able 2 feel around 4 more changes in bodies of temperatures, when a darkening mass appears around leos feet and spreads out, they find out that he can also feel changes in terrain/surfaces through the shadowy mass, april and leo tell splinter and the others this, don mentions about how in the future they saw, raph had control over the shadows and after the the failed attempt on keeping that future from happening, leo is showing signs of being able 2 do the same although he cant figure out y leo is nearly blind, after don finishes up, leo explains that its not just his sight that is affected but his hearing as well, after a long debate, leo tries pushing the grey clouds out of his head and is momentarily able 2 push them out enough that it almost covers his head but then the clouds recede back in2 his head

Ep 32 - with don having trouble finding a viable cure, splinter sees Leo starting 2 become depressed so he has Leo start some meditating sessions w/ him in hopes of cheering Leo up

Ep 33 - after hrs of practice, though leos vision hasnt gotten much better, he is able 2 hear better than he could be4 and can easily tell the difference in his brothers heat sources and their actions, w/ some convincing, they go up top looking 4 some action while simultaniously working on further improving leo skills, while running across the rooftops, leo feels that something is off and insists that they head east, keeping leo close by, as they near the docks, raph keeps leo from falling off a building, after they arrive at the docks, leo points them in the direction of a nearby warehouse

Ep 34 - once inside, they see rat king holding a blood red jewel and talking about how he will become unstoppable w/ the heart of tengu but stops when the rat king turns toward them, be4 leo has a chance 2 feel it, a rat crawls on a crate in front of him, rat king then smirks and laughs at how he isnt the only 1 blind now, raph growls at him and mikey states that leo is only nearly blind, which earns a smack from raph, be4 leo states that he may be nearly blind but that he has more of a advantage than be4 and easily surrounds rat king w/ shadows, forgetting about the heart of tengu, rat king barely manages 2 escape from leos shadows and after leo is distracted, has his rat minions fight the others while he takes off, during the fight, some of the shadows leo is using get 2 close 2 the heart of tengu and r sucked in

Ep 35 - during a meditation session, splinter looks deep in2 leos mind and finds leos consciousness deeply encased in shadows, splinter helps in the ways he can but is unable 2 push away all the shadows that r around leo, waking up, splinter sees leos eyes no longer glassy and a tear runs down his face, leo then hugs him, overjoyed w/ being able 2 see again, and thanks him be4 running out and playfully pounces on mikey... that night, leo has a dream of a massive dark figure using him against his brothers and is unable 2 free himself from its grip while simultaniously at the docks the heart of tengu turns black, rising up in the air and shadows pour out of it forming the demon shredder

You give some good arguments and suggestion.

however there are somethings that discredit them. First being the suggestion that Mikey's blood holds the cure. This is a good suggestion I don't have any problem with it.

But the big issue is that the mutagen Bishop used was man made so if Mikey has an immunity it would be to the Kraang mutagen, not a man made one.

The illness Donnie gets as a result is because the ooze that gets into his body and violently reacts against the alien mutagen already in his DNA. The turtles just assume its a normal cold that just seems to be sticking around longer then it should. (Which by rights should have been a red flag)

Originally the out break ooze was caused when Bishop created a fake alien invasion in order to get continued funding for the EPF. When the fake aliens were defeated they would puff up like a zit and explode into a white goo that later gets swept into the sewers creating an unintentional mutant outbreak.

When the Turtles arrive looking for a cure for their brother. Bishop tells them that he has a cure, (he actually doesn't) but the Turtles have to get something for him first.

As for the cure seeming too easy leatherhead (who is a genius in the 2k3 version) is able to devise a cure after looking at Stockman's attempts to develop a cure. Since in the nick show it's Rockwell who is the a rival genius sometimes friend of Donatello I can see him looking over notes and observations that Donnie has made with Bishops mutagen. Perhaps even the Fugitoid could be involved on helping develop a cure.

For Karai the hope is that she would be freed from the Shredders clutches and yes she could parallel her experience with what Donnie is going through. And when Donnie starts asking his brothers to put him out of his misery if there is no hope for a cure. Leo and Raph honestly wouldn't go through with it because this is their brother and they are all they have.

Karai could however understand Donnie's reasoning and tell Leo about her experience with her mutation. And while he may not like the concept or agree with it. He still has to consider what is best for his brother and wouldn't it be better to die as ones self rather then losing ones self to the mind of a beast.

And Karai in turn can sympathize with Donnie about his predicament.
