So... The Crackhead Foot Ninja was all but straight up confirmed to be Casey Jones. They never said she's named Casey Jones but her alias was "Grandma CJ" and was shown to be a Hockey Fan, pretty much confirming her identity.

I don't know Crackhead Karai sort of worked because that's literally the opposite of how Karai is usually portrayed meanwhile Foot Recruit is just Casey Jones but a bit more hyper. Maybe coffee Casey Jones

Casey is a gender-neutral name so Casey Jones could work for a boy just as much as it could a girl.

Definitely wasn't expecting it, but it's an interesting twist. Pretty sure most people had her figured for Karai.

Doesn't feel like she'll be a particularly familiar version of the character, though. It's hard to imagine certain staples, like being best buds with Raph, working in this context. But I've mostly enjoyed the way Rise twists traditional TMNT canon so I'm willing to see how it plays out.

Oh it totally is... But they probably still produced about 30-38 episodes they haven't aired yet and they have some weird policy about not making it seem like the show failed, which is why it's taking so long for it to officially air the finale. The fact the show moved to Nicktoons, IDW not forcing themselves to put out some tie-in comics and Playmates no longer producing any toys for it is kind of the closest to official confirmation we have.

Based on the current rate of release, I estimate the finale will air between October 2020 and February 2021, probably November 2020. Or if we're really lucky, August 2020. If it were up to me, I'd just dump all the episodes online right away but I'm not in the business of disguising financial failures...

I dunno, I wasn't sure if CJ was really even her initials/nickname given the 'Grandma' part included, thinking it was probably just a random cover for company image. But who knows, you could be onto something.

You know re watching the episode a 6th time I just realized who else would give a a spiked Bat/Mace trick weapons but Casey Jones in fact I hope that becomes her main weapon.
