I just bought the following original Mirage series comics all for $26.00.
#1 Is the 3rd Print

Yeah a good offer i payed 200 for whole first volume.. everything from 5-62
are first prints...

Yeah I found them on ebay. What is a first print of #1 going for? I want to get one but isn't it almost impossible to find one?

That is definitely a sweet deal. You're one lucky turtle. ;)

A first print copy of the very first issue is one of the hardest comics to find. Only 3000 copies were made for the first run. A near mint TMNT #1 can go for around $200 or more. If you want to get your hands on one, I suggest you find a comic store that has it, and then buy it from there. Don't trust ebay if you're looking for the first print. There are a lot of fake copies going around, and you can easily lose all of that hard earned cash if you're not careful. The fakes are easy to spot... The paper used to print the fakes is white and sturdy, as opposed the original comics which is yellow and has a soft newspaper feel to it. And remember, the first comic was printed in magazine size, not the normal comic size. I hope that info helps. :)

Well it looks like I'm going to pass on the idea of a first print for a while. First I must finish off my collection of every TMNT comic made before I can consider that.
