I thought the first 5 eps were doing fine until the Neautrinos came in. They're just too silly and their slang was even more outdated than the tmnt... like they stepped off of Happy Days.

Count me, too, as one who liked the Neutrinos. I thought they were interesting characters. I loved their groovy dialogue. I always felt the writers could have done more with them -- "Four Turtles and a Baby" comes to mind -- but that never happened.

The only thing I would change about the Ninja Turtles is when the cartoon aired on the CBS network on Saturday mornings. It was on from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, and my sister and I always had piano lessons during that time.

There are still episodes from the CBS days that I haven't seen. :evil:

Make TMNT IV: Turtles in Time for the SNES able to use the multitap for 4 player turtle action (and for that matter make the new TMNT game 4 player).

Kept the original toon going as long as possible and release more episodes on VHS.

but tmnt wise:

comics: colored mirage, no archie or image.

old toys: toys based on comics, drop alot of the costumes, painted weapons, better role playing weapons.

old toon:little less mutants, mike wouldnt be such a dumb ass, more action, lot less pizza, tuffer shredder, the whole thing would be more like the 1st 5 eps. less careless mistakes.

movie: 2 and 3 be better, get sum rock music in there, have splinter be more of a fighter.

old video game: 4 player, 1st one wouldnt suck so bad.

new toys: playmates would make more figs. the minis and mutation would not be repaints.

new toon: shredder would not be an utrom.

new game: better casey mode, better vs. mode, vehichles, better fighting stance for splinter, 4 player.

in general: points at benvenuto.

One thing people like you need to learn is that April and Casey were set for return in Season 2, Season 1 was to welcome Venus into the TMNT Universe. But yes, if I was to change TNM, I'd keep Shredder as the lead villian.

The point I was trying to make earlier is that sometimes we tend to take these characters alittle too seriously and forget that it's fiction. We seem to forget that whatever happens to them isn't really happening because they aren't real That's why I loved the goofy "I know this is a show and that we're not real!" humor of the original cartoon.

I've read the first 3 issues of Mirage Volume 1, I bought the next 3 issues just today. One gathers as much information as one can. While on the subject of Mirage/Old toon, may I ask how something so dark and serious ended up a goofy kids toon?

Not me. I loved it when the Turtles would make it obvious that what the viewer was watching was a cartoon. I don't know of any cartoons today that do this.

The original comic:

Make them in color, I hate black & white. Only cross over with Savage Dragon and Usagi Yojimbo. Not kill Shredder off in the original comic so early. Assimilate some of the better concept from the cartoon and toy line like Slash (turtle clone) and an evil Utrom named Krang.
Keep most turtle comics in volume one (to many ones shots, teams ups and spin offs) Reversed the mutalations of the Image books at the end (utroms could have helped to transform them back) keep everything in continuity. Make a regular series of trade paperbacks collecting every comic story, also do the same for the Archie series.

Original toy line:

Not make Shredder anorexic and sick looking, make him more like the wacky action "buff" version. Make Super shredder, Rahzar and Tokka in scale (larger sized)
Make movie versions of Casey, April and Tatsu. Make Usagi Yogimbo look more on model, made more comic book characters into toys. Make the original sewer play set bigger, and made smaller version the walking mouser. Oh, and make a rock man soldier.

Original cartoon

I would have kept the original cartoon at the same quality of the first five episodes, even make some dramatic episodes, more in tone with the Archie comic I have read so much good things about. Not have such comedic bumbling villains, they should have been worthy adversaries. That's not to say the old cartoon shouldn't have comedy, just not be so ridiculous about it, But I wouldn't change the fact that they would address the audience and acknowledge the show is fiction. I loved that as a kid.
Lots more Casey, more Usagi Yojimbo, more Metal head, less mutants, but have the Mutanimals. Tone down Aprils desire to get a news scoop and make her more Lois Lane like.

Video games:

Make more arcade style games and sequels of tournament fighter for playstaion, and super Nintendo in the late 90's. Make all of them 4 player, including the new one.
oh and a Mario Cart rip of with the turtles would have been really cool.

New line:

Keep the sculpting style of the first wave that has defined musculature instead of the more animated look of the current and upcoming figures. Make all figures with ball joint arms. Make Shredder and Hun taller then they are.

Make the Turtle Bot toy from the video game look more like Metal head (old action figure) and produce the damn comic instead of cancel it! :roll:

Have the underground mutants be classic mutants from the old line, like scum bug or dirt bag.
