either the website is down, or there is a traffic jam. This sucks! I want to see some Turtle's crap! NOW! Why did they have useless Metzco stuff first? Now I'll never be able to see what's going on. Why is there no other website!? Figures.com blows.

lmao thats wierd as hell..I wonder if my post made people go on some mad rush to www.action-figure.com eh I dont think figures.com sucks to bad actully thats the first place to check because they will more then likely be the first to post TMNT pictures.

Figures.com does not blow. They're the only one that covered all the TMNT stuff at the Expo recently. Note that the first day of toy fair, usually does not allow press in unless they have invitations from specific companies to be there. Have patience, we'll be seeing some good stuff soon.

Nope, I fear I have no powers outside the News Section. That's where I was going to put more or less some sort of official Toy Fair thread. As soon as something actually turns up. And yep, I used to be Vintage Splinter. I snagged the Staff reserved 'Splinter' when they made me staff. :)

www.figures.com definitely isn't bad. They usually have the best coverage of these events(though the news there is quite lacking at other times of the year). Oh, and the Mezco stuff isn't useless, I know quite a lot of people are very happy about the announcement of Family Guy figures, even though I'm not interested in them.

Just a warning now though, there probably won't be that much new from TMNT. Especially since Playmates has supposedly cut back on what they're showing, so they won't have as much set up as they did last year. I hope they'll show something new, but it's not definite.

I'll sticky this, and I'm going to unsticky the "Figures.Com - Tons of New Figures Revealed!!" thread, since this one kinda replaces it.

I'm not even sure if Playmates section of Toy Fair is open yet... some of it started Thursday, but the full Toy Fair doesn't officially open until tomorrow. And I know Playmates booth will be open tomorrow. So I expect pictures then, though I doubt there'll be anything we haven't seen.

Nope, nothing yet. www.simpsonscollectors.com are going to put up coverage of Playmates at Toy Fair tonight, but I think they're only covering the Simpsons line, not Playmates other stuff. :|

LAXtitan99

That simpson's site has put up pics of the simpsons from playmates so the booth must be open.

SO WHERE ARE ALL THE FRICKIN' TURTLES!!!!!!

perhaps a bout in Statics class will calm me down and pass the time...oh woh is me...

I've checked with my contacts. Playmates coverage will be going up at the sites this afternoon. Lotsa turtle goodness. Unfortunatly, I'm hearing that most of it is stuff we've already seen. And that Usagi Yojimbo is not on display. :(

We are getting closer...

Figures.com has added playmates with subcatagory TMNT to the site under toy fair just no pictures yet. Hopefully in a few hours we will see some new TMNT goodness. LOOK! (http://69.93.35.18/photo/1/showgallery.php?cat=1234&password=&page=1)

The TMNT subcats are 5" figures, 12" figures and ULTIMATE Figures.

:D

12:59pm EST

50 pictures posted...notta one we havent seen yet...booooooo

I really need a life if all I have to do is click refresh every 30 seconds to see the new TMNT figures...damn 80s nostalsia...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Changes since old pictures of same toys...
-Turtle Titan now has a grapling hook
-giant mouser now has rocket launching things on shoulders -space hoppin turtles are the ones from the official site not the ones shown at 2003 toy expo
-leatherhead now has a mase as a weapon/accessory
-turtle toddlers have new more kiddie weapons
1:09pm EST - 101 pics posted
appears that there will be some time till more are posted at least in the 5" catagory as the 101 were posted ridiculously fast and now there is a delay...
More importantly, the Space Hoppin Turtles are the inaccurate, awful looking ones instead of the good show accurate ones we've all seen.
And it seems weird they'd announce Scuba Turtles and an exclusive figure with the Turtle Lair right before Toy Fair, and then not show them. :-?
I think they will range in the $75 - $100 range. They are sorta like a boys version of the my-size barbies that went for well over $100.
I hope they arent that much (poor college student with a OCD complex for Ninja Turtles = way too much debt :( )
Anywhos...so cant wait for there release.
And speaking of release...it'd be nice if playmates put some sort of dates to all this stuff.
everything old is new again..that's all they are is extream sports turtle repaints..with motercycles that I'm sure have been made before and are just differnt colors and have perhaps added a few new things to them...
while they may not look great playmates is saving tuns of money and creating tmnt toys kids will love while saving money on molds to perhaps make greta new characters like baxter stockman and many others.
To be honest with you I like these guys better then the old extream sports figures and will be picking them up when they hit stores.
Found the TMNT TCG today! The deck boxes are black with a picture on front (with a black background of course). The boxes look really overly-plain. Kinda dissapointed.
I'm picking one up tommrow, and I post a thread with a review of the game. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out the rule book :dead: .
we allready have one thats silver..it's the shredder with the removable helmet...but the photo you posted does look like the normal shredder figure just painted silver odd...perhaps we will see a normal version of the silver shredder.
When are the Space Hopping Turtles going to be released.....and where are the Triceritons?
Jarvas
Meh. A lot of the old figures were better than the new ones coming out.
For instance: Vintage Mutatin' Shredder beats the crap out of the new Mutatin' Shredder.
Wes
02-24-2004, 04:26 PM
Mutatin' Shredder was always a stupid figure, though. He didn't mutate! He just put on a suit of armor! Aaaaaaaargh! I still want the damned Tyranno-Shredder, though. That's a beautiful creature.
And Stone Ill: Eh?
Jarvas
02-24-2004, 07:32 PM
Yeah, but the old one looked a lot better. Remember April O'Neal turning into a Jaguar? XD, I forgot I had that and Mutating Rahzar until I saw them on the site today. What a feeling of Nostaglia it was...
Aside from Super Shredder, I think I might get another Toon Shredder off of eBay too. To my surpise, some people had him.
Wes
02-24-2004, 07:53 PM
Or you could get a regular Shredder and paint it! :) As far as the old Shredder figs go, the Wacky Action one was probably the closest they came to a legitimate Toon Shredder -- you might want to try and snag that one.
The thing I'm bidding on now is going to cost me a fortune if I win...and I kinda hope I get outbid. Spending that much on a handful of figures is ridiculous.
Jarvas
02-24-2004, 08:11 PM
Uh, the Toon Shredder is a repaint of the regular Shredder. It's just painted with the TV show colors. It looks pretty good too. I could get the original for $0.99 and the Toon Shredder for about $3.00 on eBay.
I just went to ninjaturtles.com and looked almost every toy from the old toy line there. From 1988-1997. I had so many of those, but I forgot, now that I saw them they bring back so many childhood memories. I saw Shredder toys that I didn't even know existed.
But for every old Shredder toy I saw, whenever I see the crap 2003 Utrom-Shredder, I think too myself " mofo'd get his ass kicked by any one of the old Shredders." I used to think he look so cool, but ever since I found out he was a Utrom and got back to my roots with seeing the old figures, he means nothing to me now. Super Shredder is where it's at!
Wes
Uh, the Toon Shredder is a repaint of the regular Shredder. It's just painted with the TV show colors.I know! :) That's why I said, "Or you could get a regular Shredder and paint it!" Same deal. But it's still in that funky pose and looks kinda crappy -- hence my suggestion of the Wacky Action Shredder. That one actually looks more like the 'toon one, I think. Plus, wacky action! Gotta love that.
Yeah, there were some pretty crazy Shredders... Did you see the Cyber Samurai one? Wicked. And I wouldn't mind having one of the stretch Super Shredders myself. :lol:
And the new Shredder still looks better than the other ones -- and just because he turned out to be an Utrom in the series doesn't mean yours has to. My Armorized Shredder has been designated the Oroku Saki of the movies and shall remain so, no matter what happens on the new cartoon. :P I'd love to have a new Shredder figure with Krang in his stomach though.
I suppose. I still plan on buying the blue 2003 Shredder though.
I had Cyber Samurai Raphael. When I saw Cyber Samurai Shredder I was like "Wtf?!"
He looks like Super-Super Shredder.
How about Shogun and Mutant Shredder?
The post on regular/toon Shredder isn't THAT bad.
The Shogun Shredder is also pretty cool.
Yeah, there is a point to staying on topic. This topic is for discussion of the figures featured in the opening posts, We have other topics if y'all wish to talk about the vintage lines.
It looks like it's simply comparing the old line to the new, though, but it's not fair to people who don't want to muck through off-topic posts to find the info they're looking for.
SO WHERE ARE ALL THE FRICKIN' TURTLES!!!!!!
Frickin turtles... I like the sound of that...
"Yah Frickin Turtle!! Yah ate My Ice Cream!!!!"
okay... where did that come from..?
Oh right right...
I had a few doubts on the Preteenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... for some reason, I didn't know they were 4 packs (I was thinking 2 packs)... I really want to get them now, and they look great in package...
Other than that, I hope they redesign Leather head so he doesn't have that gouged out back with ugly "Happy Meal" like screws... or at least paint them over... when they get all rusty, the action figure looks like garbage.... I hope that's like that for the mock up only.... I'll still get him reguardless, though...
What the heck...
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toyfair2004/playmates_showroom09.jpg
Look at the package inbetween the turtle toddlers and the turtle bot...what figure is this? It almost looks like some translucent green thing though maybe its the way the light is hitting it.
Can anyone figure it out?
Antrax
It is the Turtle Titan, it is slightly turned towards the light so there is quite some glare. It is most noticable from the grappling hook at the far right.
Anyone have a clue on this stuff...
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toyfair2004/way-out-toys_display.jpg
The top row is the wall clock and the first thing all the way on the left of the second shelf (from top) is the alarm clock.
What about the other stuff?
Looks like row 2 has some form of digital alarm clock
Row 3 has bobbleheads?
Row 4 - possible a telephone?
Then who knows...I made the assumptions on row 3/4 based on the wayouttoys website http://www.wayouttoys.com/HomePage.html based on what they make...
I don't see a problem with the new Leatherhead (if thats what your implying).
I'll pick some up here and there but can't wait for the Utrom to finally come out (will be a long stinking wait... heh but not as long as it'll be for Bebop or Rocksteady)
TOy Review magazine showed a Mouser multipack that I'd like to pick up though not sure when that's availible.
Nah im just a thief. I recolored it and will tell everyone the talented person who made it though. Sebastian Priego. There just aren't enough nice Bebop pics out there.
Anyone know who is missing from the original comics as a character? I lost my comics long ago but thought that Slash appeared in the comics. Reallly hope a bunch of new animal mutants pop up. Maybe mutanize Hun while they're at it. (with a rhino heh heh heh)
