What could have made NM better??

So here we go another stupid NM thread but hear me out, what in your HO could have made NT:TNM better. I would have liked to see more shredder and the foot, and a better shredder armor...i mean gahhh it sucked. and re-work venus, so that she works

Better story and acting really whoulc have done the best. Even without Venus and more Shredder if the stories still sucked nothing would have changed.

Anyway, I seriously think this show could have been better if they tweaked everything just a little. If they'd changed just one aspect it would have still sucked, but a little improvement across the board might have gone a long way.

Better writing and characterization would have gone a long way. Catch phrases are bad. While I know that everyone wanted to see Shredder in all his iconic glory, but I rather liked the focus on the Dragonlord. Wish Shredder had a better going out, though.

As for Venus herself... First, don't use slang, especially if you don't understand it. I don't mind her messing up her spells because she's still an apprentice, so that's to be expected.

The guys needed an attitude adjustment as well.

I think that 2 things could have helped it.

No Frikkin Venus, and not having Splinter transported to the other dimension...


Plus Krang.... Krang could fix anything... if he were in the cheesy X-mas special, it would have been good!

I definitly think that Venus shouldn't have been there, because adding her in there just didn't make sense. More Shredder/Foot would have been cool too. Kinda like a mix between the old TV show and the Movie would be awesome. Also, the costumes in NM were very very WEAK and stupid.

They did have a budget. As I've said earlier, they had to make the first film on a budget to afford Henson's involvement. On the other side of the coin, they are still leaps and bounds better than the Christmas special suits... my eyes burned.

Maybe it would have been better as a cartoon... but then we wouldn't have the cool show now....

Here's what I'd do,

1) No cartoon noises, they just became annoying.
2) More Shredder, though I trust he would have returned in the second season.
3) Make it as dark as the Mirage comics.
4) On the whole, I like the turtle costumes expect you can see the line between the mask and the rest of the suit, seal it up I say. And I think Shredder's costume could use for spikes.

Shredder shoiuld have remained a consistant threat, to bring in a bunch of mary-sue characters was pretty stupid, if you're going to bring in new characters, associate them with a stronger MIRAGE character like Hun was in the new Ninja Turtles cartoon, he was the right hand man of a REAL major villain like Shredder

THAT was the problem with Dragon Lord, he was a great villian...yeah..a good POWER RANGERS villian, and TMNT IS'NT Power Rangers, some gormless soul in the Saban office thought that was the case, before any of the ideas for Season 2 came around, the show was axed

Venus was the worst original character of all, the shark-jumper, the show-stoppa, the maimed event.

After surviving her first encounter with the Foot Ninjas, Venus teaches her brother how to dreamwalk. They go into the Relm of Dreams and rescue Splinter (The Dragons follow them back of course), but as soon as the turtles and Splinter return to their bodies, Shredder and the Foot Clan attack. Using combat and explosives, the Foot forces the turtles to make a atreat (Maybe using the subway car as a getaway vehicle). After escaping from the Foot, the turtles and Splinter moved in with April yet again. That way, Shredder would still be the lead villian, and Dragon Lord would still be in the show.

Dragonlord working for Shredder? Hmm... possible. Like if Shredder discovered the Dragons and promised to be their guide in this "new world". The Shredder would simply be using them of course, and Dragonlord would simply be biding his time before taking over Shredder's empire. But it would be amusing to see the tensions.
