Well, what do you guys think? What was most responsible for the Turtles' worldwide success?

Was it the cartoon?

Was it the comics?

Was it the movies?

Let's get some noise going on around here!

Peter and Kevin. Without them there wouldn't be any Turtles to have a worldwide success.
Closely followed by the fans, of course :)

true why do you think playmates would have wanted the cartoon so bad, it has to be the cartoon, no way the comics, even though they're really good, comics are in an economic depression :(

The cartoon...when the cartoon started they got popular and started to sell lotsa MERCHANDISE! :D

This is an interesting question. You could argue make an argument for several things on this list.

Personally, I want to say that the cartoon ushered in the most fans, and, therefore, was most responsible for the Ninja Turtles' success. But you have to keep in mind that if fans hadn't tuned in, the cartoon and all other projects might have flopped.

And we can't forget about Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the guys are all RESPONSIBLE for us even talking about this.

I guess it all comes down to what your preference is. If you think about it, if it hadn't been for Kevin and Peter, none of us would be here.

Yes Peter and Kevin being the ones who doodeled the turtles first deserve the credit its like George Lucus and starwars.
