MAJOR SPOILERS (If you haven't seen "Annihilation: Earth!" yet, please don't read!)
I was really impressed with this episode ending the way it did. It was very action heavy and consistent yet very emotional at the end. Shredder killing Splinter on screen was just brutal but I really appreciated that the show got to actually show and do that. I thought this finale was the best one yet of this series and I really enjoyed season two's finale. The Triceratons were a major threat and blew up Earth for goodness sake! Captain Mozar was great and I really liked Michael Dorn as his voice. A very perfect choice for Mozar. Overall the Nick show really nailed the Triceratons for me. They were a serious threat and really took care of their business mercilessly in the episode. I loved the debut of the Roadkill Rodneys! That was a very nice addition to The Technodrome scenes. I really liked Bishop and that surprised me. It's neat to have the Utroms be involved in some way in the Nick series as well. With what little of Fugitoid we saw, he seems like he'll be a fun character. It was also great to see Leatherhead and Slash fight the Triceratons who are such big enemies to fight. And then Splinter convincing Shredder to help fight the Triceratons was great to see. I'm always a sucker for that type of thing in shows or movies. It was great and very interesting to watch while it lasted. Tiger Claw really did help out, and when I thought about it, he was the only one who had actual experience fighting Triceratons (not including the turtles and maybe Bishop). So it seemed he wanted to fight them to actually help. And I did like his reaction to Shredder's actions at the end. Very interesting that he would question Shredder killing Splinter. I really liked seeing Shredder and Splinter fighting together against the same enemy. I still can't get over the "moment" though. Shredder killing Splinter in that way, blades through his back. Whoah! Just an amazing episode. |
Did I hear Sub-Prime correctly? Did he say in the shake of a Kraang testicle and then laugh and say tentacle? :o I was interrupted right at that moment and since the episode was buffering so much I didn't go back to watch it again. I must have heard him wrong.

"It needs only two shakes of a tentacle to fix her, just give her some more juice, heh..." |
Holy ***! What an ending!
Spoilers ahead, duh. Seeing all the Turtles fighting alongside their villains was so awesome. I felt so many emotions during that battle, particularly when Tiger Claw rescued April & Casey. Very typical of Shredder to kill Splinter despite the whole world being destroyed afterwards. I really cannot wait for the next season so I can hear more of David Tennant's Fugitoid voice, it really impressed me. |
That was a good finale. I still prefer the S2 finale tbh tho. But it's time for 13 episodes of Doctor Who and Star Trek jokes!

Mikey: "Doctor who?" Fugitoid: "No no my friend...I'm a Professor, not a doctor." :D |
Spoiler:
It was great. More unique and exciting than other season finales and I loved how the creators put every little of everything in it. CaseyxApril, DonniexApril, RaphxApril, LHxMikey and the brothers' bond SplinterxShredder action and TurtlesxSplinter moment. And Slash was with Doc... I just love Corey and Tom together! :D Anyway, I think it was great. As I was watching epsiode 24 today (needed to catch up), I thought somehow the show has just burnt out a little. It didn't have that uplifting vibrance as in season 1 and I really missed that. But in the season finale I received what I had wished for. I'm pretty curious about season 4 but I'll have a to wait a little bit more. Pumped up! |

I have to say I wasn't excited about another Krang invasion, but they upped the stakes and really pulled off and incredible two part episode chocked full of all sorts of new/old TMNT goodness.

Raph and April almost never interact? Where'd you get that from? And Mikey has a crush on Renet. LH and him are just friends. Really close, but still friends. |
I think they were referring to interactions, not shipping. As in moments when they are together on screen.

Shredder is TRULY a hopeless fool!
That Shredder is NOTHING but an INSANE FREAK!:x Tiger Claw HAS been more honorable than he ever was. I do hope that when the turtles change what has happened, tiger claw will realize that Shredder is truly insane and TURN on him.:)

If I recall, Raph snatched up April's arm and pulled her away before she could get hurt during that firefight. It was a nice moment of Raph looking after her. I like it when he does that. I think they would make a better couple than April and Donnie do(don't?) And Mikey and LH, they have so many canon moments that it could easily be perceived as shipping. I would be curious if anyone did a side by side comparison with the way he was with Renet and has been with LH. But Mikey loves openly to anyone he connects with, he has a big heart, so it's hard to tell. |

I like shipping as well, don't get me wrong, but it is a topic people are sensitive about and I didn't want to start an argument. Frankly, I've always loved those little situations that bring two characters closer from any kind of point of view. Brothers, friends, lovers, whatever. Raphael saving April meant only that he cares about her as much as he cares about his brothers or Casey. In my opinion, he didn't really warm up to her at first like the others did - he needed time. It is just good to see how their relationship developed. I think Mikey is just like that - Mikey. I think Leatherhead is always going to be important to him. At least, he was one of the first creatures he had encountered outside of the sewers and who he saved. I never thought of Crocodile-man and Party Dude as a dating material. There are differences between the action towards Renet and Leatherhead. BUT it's another topic. |
What a brilliant series this is. Loved the finale, they've landed some great writers who tread the hardest line in writing.....making it appeal to kids and adults alike.
