I actually like the idea of Raphril myself and have seen some good stories featuring it. Granted, I'll always like Apriltello, but a little variety doesn't hurt.

In Target April O Neil, I really digged when Kurtzman first meets the gang, and he calls out April's name, and Leo immediately put himself between April and the stranger in a protective stance. And then there was New Girl in Town, when Leo went to April to ask her about girls, I just really liked the close friendship Leo and April have formed, and that it's purely innocent. I'm not a fan of the pairing, but I looked to it like how Harry Potter and Hermione Granger's friendship is like.

Actually, Kurtzman was in The Kraang Conspiracy.

Yeah, at this point I am. Was enjoying the idea of a new location, fresh air and all that. But so far the story isn't really getting anywhere.

I like where they're at, but at least give the being there more purpose. You went there for reasons, you didn't just decide to up and move to the country and live a simpler life.

I really hope it won't be like this if they ever go to Japan. I better see Splinter's parents and for them to meet their adoptive grandkids.

That is what I am feeling. I feel like they are just letting the Kraang destroy NYC and are not searching for Splinter like they did in the 2003 cartoon. Its just taking us to a new location to bring in no purpose mutants. Punk Frogs,yes. I see purpose in the mud creature similar to Snakeweed and even Bigfoot makes some sense especially if it would have tied up Don's crush angle. Car mutant? Dream beavers? Alien construct of April's mom? Come on,two to three episodes and then move back to finish the fight. Real time 7-10 days. I do like the Northampton farmhouse concept as a getaway and want to see reoccurring but spaced out and with purpose.


Also, has it ever been said that Yoshi's parents are alive? It is a concept unexplored in versions that Splinter is Hamato Yoshi. So I am open to it.

Do you think Shredder had kill them after he found about his true origin? He was wearing the foot symbol during the Tang Shen's flashback.

If they are gonna let the Turtles be in different locations I would kill to have them go to Japan. I think they are gonna go back to NY soon though and find Splinter and have another huge showdown. I would just love for them to go to Japan though.

It may be somewhere in the far future, but question is not why but how? I suppose Donnie can whip up a jet plane or just use the turtle blimp that he will built for the Return to New York arc while adding some new add on accommodations. Another thing is will it mostly take place in just one location like North Hampton? Tokyo would be out of the question. And honestly, I am just sick of seeing Tokyo. Seriously, Japan has so many awesome places other then Tokyo. No more Tokyo, please.

Also since Splinter himself has regional Japanese dialect. ( I assuming that he does since he doesn't pronounce certain Japanese words usually like kunoichi then it would make much more sense to have place somewhere in his fictional hometown. That way the location can be small but beautifully detail since the budget is not stretch so thin, we wouldn't have the "Why are the streets so empty at night" thing and the animation team wouldn't have to worry about making the location look accurate to what suppose to represent. Problem solved.

Would be awesome if they did visit Japan, even more-so if Yoshi's parents, or at least some family, are still around. (Do we know about how old this Splinter is supposed to be?) It could be really cool if it turned out he'd continued communicating with some of his family once in a while by letter all those years, but they have no clue quite how his life has changed. Not the details he keeps secrete at least. That would be an interesting reunion for sure.

If Karai could control the shape shifting it would be nice if she could return with them and visit members of her true family.

He would be able to contact them if he did? The foot would have be able get hold of their letters.

Tokyo is just so standard and everyone knows it, but yeah. It sorta bothered me in that ep where Karai went to that noodle shop and explained to April about the machine. I did hate the fact she said that it's in Tokyo as opposed to the country as a whole. Those machines are common at ramen shops.I don't think he has a particular dialect. Even in the Wormquake ep it sounded neutral...like how they speak in Tokyo. As for his pronunciation of "Kunoichi", it's just the correct pronunciation of it.

I have to take your word for it but I still don't want it to be Tokyo. Maybe it just me but I feel that all of the old Japan cliches are often use in Tokyo with Karaoke, the school girls, and just everything else in general and that pounded into my skull way too much. Plus I would rather see some other place that's smaller and base on a different location that we don't see to often unless it's an anime. With a different location there would be more emphasis on personal details of said setting instead of having this generalize assume version of Tokyo that been portray from Western movies that have english speaking protagonists like Teen Titans or Kill Bill.

They should either do with small home town that is fictionalize or do some research somewhere that has historical significance with marital arts.

I keep picturing an area that's a bit more rural some a distance from any city. Could make for some pretty landscapes for the designers to create. Don't focus it on a city... in that case the show itself may as well not bother leaving NYC again.
