That was fun.

Wasn't looking forward to this episode but thought it was pretty darn good. Very different from every other episode.

The beginning was okay but near the end's where I lost interest. The episodes are getting worse cause their running out of ideas. This shows going to fall apart before we even get back to NY.

For the record, I have not seen this episode yet, I was watching MockingJay 1 instead, but, your comment here had to make me giggle. I was trying to convince one of my cousins into watching this show a while back. He loved the 1990 movie of the Turtles, and I know he got into the 2k3 show for a bit, so I told him just give the show a shot, it can be pretty good. It was the night that A Foot too Big came on. By the end, he gave me the dirtiest look, and pretty much told me to never recommend something to him again. This is why I am getting so disappointed with the show, because it went from a once truly witty and entertaining program that the whole family could watch, to now just an embarrassment.

Can confirm that's not true or not effective anymore, becuase they air a ton of star wars commericals during airings of the new show.

Yay, unlike the beavers this one is actually repeating on Sunday morning. :D

I think only the usual repeat on another Nick channel the same night. Beyond that, doesn't seem so. They seemed to have previously gotten into showing the prior one after the newest, like it should have been on after the new one tonight, but it wasn't. :ohwell:

Feels as if they've avoided showing it again... what did they see that was so bad?

Wildcat 11-21-2014 09:42 PM

Loved this episode. Favorite filler for me. Probably cause I like cars. I wished the speed demon car didn't explode. Why in midair? Didn't really make sense.

Obviously demon Don was a reference to those car monsters. I don't know what they're called though. Finks? Shame the toy wouldn't be very good if they made one.

The Heavy Metal scene. Heavy Metal is so taboo and evil, don't you know! They had to create boy bands and bubble gum pop to get it out of mainstream radio. :P

A demonic, people eating, mutant car? Who would think in a show about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, that the turtles would seem to be one of the most normal things?

How much do you wanna bet that they were either threaten by the FCC or Christian parents/soccer moms?

LOL

Just made me realize something though... If we include the guy who was originally possessed by it and what he looked like while possessed...

The car "was a one-eyed, one [car]-horned, flying purple people eater."

Until Leo knocked it over the cliff, then it flew. lol

Spoiler:

For those too young to get it...

Edit: "Eating purple people," while it ate the purple wearing Turtle.

Soccer grandmas. The current soccer moms grew up with TMNT. lol Betrayal to their generation if they want to ruin the Turtles success.

For some reason, I hear Bob Dylan in my head when I read that.

That's often the case, the ones with the loudest complaints were secretly the biggest fans in the past. I'm not sure why that is though.

TurtleTitan97 11-21-2014 11:31 PM

This was a great episode. Loved the car scenes in it.

Luckyday 11-21-2014 11:41 PM

I know that I sound like a broken record but looking back, I don't think season 2 was bad by any stretch of the imagination, and with season 3 so far it's not bad either, but as someone had mention, it's not what we were expecting. I can't put my finger on it but there's something missing from season 1.

Maybe it's missing a theme in character development that could connect all the episodes together but who knows. I'm just spitballing here, folks.

So far from what I've been hearing that there was some actual honest to god character interactions in this new episode from April and Raph to Donnie with Casey and that's great! That's what we've been hoping, right?

zipper 11-22-2014 01:32 AM

Man this season has been bad. They never explained how a car can mutate and without that, it felt very incomplete. I don't understand the direction that they're taking this show. Season 1 was awesome and I couldn't wait for the next episode. Season 2 had some issues, but was pretty good overall and what a crazy end to it too. But season 3, I just don't know what to say. There are a few good bits in every episode, but The Finger episode is by fa the worst episode ever and the Speed Demon episode just didn't make any sense.

Bring back the Punk Frogs :D

IndigoErth 11-22-2014 02:03 AM

I want to know how it ended up with "mutagen fuel." It only ran over a little bit, it didn't go into the gas tank. Does the car "die" when the fuel runs out? Does it run out? Or is it more like mutated car blood.

To be fair, I think they do show during the season 2 finale that mutagen can alter non-biological material (although only into crystals, I think?). Doesn't explain how it can make a car turn organic though. Magical ooze powers of convenience, I guess.
