this was a weird but good episode. though, i'm past ready for the Turtles to get back to the city already.

I can't believe no one mentioned the Mirage homage. The Turtles in the comic book dream and Mikey saying "phew, back in the real world" :lol:

When Donnie thought he woke up in his bed, then he looked under under his bed, but then lifted himself back up to have a beaver right behind him, it's a reference to Poltergiest with the boy and the posessed clown toy.

That was was an amusing if ordinary episode. I liked the dream sequences (Raph's in particular) and the horror references, but like A Foot Too Big, this wasn't my favorite episode of the show. I give it a 7/10.

I liked the beginning with the Turtles training...an episode dedicated to that would be nice.

This one was just weird but I did like all the horror references and the hardcore visuals! The first shot in Raph's nightmare was the most interesting to me.

Great episode, loved the ending. I liked the fact the dream beavers were not mutants but supernatural creatures from another dimension.

That was definitely one weird episode, but I totally didn't hate it one bit. My favorite dream was Leo's and his was connected to a fear as he fears he won't ever get better. I loved how he was training and how he hasn't quite healed up yet, but we all know he will eventually. It's good to see he's progressing. As for the other Turtles, their dreams were okay, but I loved Leo's the best, though Raph's comes in second with the heavy metal Turtles and the snakes. Loved how Casey saved the day and how April was being all attentive to Donnie and even though she was using her psychic powers, it wasn't working on them. Overall, a pretty neat episode. Dave was my favorite Beaver, too.

Also loved the quote where Leo said, "I am awake and I've got super powers and I'm fighting a giant beaver." Just the way Seth said it made me laugh so hard.

Didn't see a preview for the next ep. I so hope we aren't going on a hiatus again.

Oh my god, wow, this episode was disturbing but I did enjoy it.

John Kassir and Robert Englund did a great job voicing the Dream Beavers.

Leo had Dire, Raph had Dread, Donnie had Dark and Mikey had Dave.

Was hoping that Mikey was going to get one of the nightmare Beavers but he had Dave the good dream beaver but it was a dark episode and and it needed a light hearted moment, so it made sense that it was best for Mikey to have a good dream to balance it out a bit so not to scare kids too much.

I was shocked that Donnie stopped breathing :o (and that April said the turtles had no pulse) as I never seen it happen in any other version (not counting the 2K3 episode SAINW). It proves Nickelodeon has guts.

You might want to change the title of the thread to "In Dreams" since that's the name of the episode. Just a heads up.

This was not the perfect episode by any means, but it's not the worst either. It's problems are that it's a bit scary for children, yet another filler episode, and it's another dream episode.

But it wasn't all that bad either. I like the visually dark episodes but I'm not a horror fan. I much prefer comedy and action shows over romance/drama or horror. What was great about this episode is that April and Casey go somewhere other then the farmhouse or the woods, Mikey's dream and dream beaver are hilarious, and as far as a dream episode goes, this one is my favorite so far.

Even though I thought this was a bit too scary for kids, I don't think it went as far as they have gone before with scary or weird episodes. I'd say that this was a solid 7/10.

So much to love about this episode as a stand alone episode.

Things I didn't care for

April kissing Donnie on the cheek for the millionth time and then he doesn't remember it? Why is this relationship stuck in neutral?
Bernie looks like Clint Howard, why wasn't he voiced by him too?
The shelled turtles that Mikey is clinging too and the guys on that conveyor belt was so freaky, dark freaky.

As much as I liked this episode as a whole, if I were still binging this series I would be ff through most of these to get back to the real story. I miss Splinter, Shredder, Karai, NY, the sewer, even the Kraang. If they are going to stay in the woods much longer they need to add some new characters or one main bad guy or something to create some character development.

Eh Troma, I'll let that slide because that was a comedy.

To be fair, the fanbase had two seasons of homages to a good portion of the TMNT franchise.

Now I feel like the shows makers are getting to add in a few of their own personal homages to other shows and films that they admire and I don't think we should begrudge them that.

A lot of fans, whether they will admit to it or not, will have had at some point, an idea for a TMNT crossover in their heads. Why not the team? They're fan boys just like the rest of us.

I doubt that the horror theme will encompass the entire shows run from now on.

I'm not even a horror fan, I hate horror films But I've enjoyed the last few episodes a lot.

Wow, glad I didn't peek in here before watching the episode. This episode wasn't that bad. They took full advantage of it being a dream episode with a ton of weird imaginary and reused a lot of old sets. April's psychic powers were used smartly trying to reach the turtles in their dreams instead of being a last minute cop out like in The Kraang Conspiracy, The Invasion, and Buried Secrets. Casey was great confronting the store owner and saving the day.

It was kinda sad seeing Leo get frustrated with his leg still hurting then overjoyed in the dream when it's suddenly better. Raph's dream...I was lost. The heavy metal thing flew over my head at the time. :lol: Mikey's dream was on par for the course with him. Gotta have some cute imagines to lighten the tension between the other nightmares. If, um, you don't consider balls and lollipops with faces scary. Though nothing beats the conveyor belt scene on the creep-o-meter.

It's great that the beavers are supernatural from another world and not just another mutant. It's also hilarious that they were actually these little beavers instead of a great sealed evil the guy thought they were. Though out of the 4, Dave's kinda the scariest. His cutesy appearance and derpy attitude would lower his victim's guard despite being just has evil and dream eating happy as the other beavers. And I would like plushies of these guys.

Not just plushies, I'd like a whole series of these guys just to see where they are from and how they work and how they came to be together. I guess it would be too dark and they are bad guys, but someone could work something out. :P

Neither am I. It's crap. My little cousins, who were hard core fans of the first two seasons, lost interest in it already. They started to watch the Star Wars cartoon on Disney and are getting all pumped for that world now.

The only way this 22 minutes of story cliches and incoherent ideas could have possibly been worse is if, instead of a redneck physicist store owner crackpot, it was John Mulaney.

I miss Shredder.
