You know Rob Paulsen had a lot of fun voicing this one.
I enjoyed this one. Not as good as Dream Beavers though. I was afraid there was going to be some idiot ball between them involving the love triangle, but nope. Casey wants to personally take down Speed Demon after being challenged by it, actually begs Donnie to help fix up his hotrod, but gives up trying to beat Speed Demon so he can save Donnie. It didn't require April for them to work together. Also liked the ABC insults. Random thing, but I really love the detail that went into to animating the chickens. It's pretty accurate. :) The only thing I didn't like about this episode were the parts with Dr. Cluckingsworth MD. Just...why? Oh lucky lucky, the bird that accidentally gets mutated instantly knows complicated stuff and can conveniently be a navigator for the Turtle Racer. So forced. :ohwell: Also, the turtles need to ban themselves from keeping normal pets. They just can't stop them from getting into mutagen. Quote:

Love it. :D I love the madness and mutated Donnie car thing.
Though the chicken being smart bugged me a little. Even if you have an efficient brain, you still need to fill it with knowledge to become smart..but cartoon logic. *shrug* |

And yeah, the bitching's getting a bit old. I could understand one or two episodes, but if they think the North Hampton eps suck, why not skip them all until we get to the Vision Quest ones? We'll let them know, because everyone else will be shouting it from the rooftops. Plus I hate angst. It's not so bad for an episode or two, but I don't want to see Turtles and co constantly moping around as a form a 'character development.' Not all grieving people act that way, especially not those that still believe their loved one could still be alive. |
This episode REALLY should have had some sort of dedication to Jim Lawson, Dan Berger, and Peter Laird at the beginning or end.

MD....MD...
Chicken Power. Strangely...this is my fav episode so far in Season 3 |

This episode makes me want to customize the Mikey Hot Rod for Casey Jones. Then I want an Ed Roth Speed Demon vehicle with Donnie popping out the top.
I liked the fact that Donnie and Casey got along in this episode. Also Mikey calling the bus, the "Party Wagon." Then the smart chicken, very funny new character, still talks in clucks but is crazy smart. I loved the Ed Roth throwback in this episode so much that I didn't care how the car got mutated. |

The difference with the show, Casey could recently come from April after being shoot down or telling him straight that she is not interested into him and Casey being the hothead would think that this all has do with Donnie so when he sees him, he would try to egg him on into fighting him, because Casey is looking for someone to take out his aggression so yeah that how it could happen in the show. |

Oh, you wanted a pretty girl, right? Then we'll all have to wait for Renet to crop up. |

Well, it's not up on the places I normally watch (Amazon, PSN) yet. I'll try back again tomorrow.
This is the second time this season that they've failed to have it up on Saturday. Last season they were going up the morning of the episode. |

Another episode with a freakishly dark lining on it, I guess that's something I have to get used to know.
How the heck does mutagen even give more scientific information to the creature that consumes it? I know it's a cartoon, but I've gotten used to the realism of the 2003 series. And I also don't like how they keep changing the rules of the show. Mutagen now mutates inanimate objects like cars? Wtf... |

Let's say this does happen and Casey decides to confront Donnie about it privately. Then he starts to push Donnie's buttons about him and April and does the poking thing with his hockey stick. A fight breaks out and they start to see what's happening if they continue acting like this. This is why I wish people would quit complaining about Capritello. Yeah, I can see how it can be a bit irritating and drawn out too long, but I've been hoping that it's all just building up for the Tang Shen parallel. I seriously hope that's what Ciro and the writers have been planning all along with making April a teenager and having Donnie crushing on her. Hey, maybe THAT'S why they were originally going to have Raph have a crush on her! Because him and Casey have always been great friends in past incarnations and to have them fighting over a girl would be an awesome conflict for them. But Raph's got enough jealousy to deal with with the classic Leo/Raph (which is the more popular for fans) and Donnie has never had love interests (unlike Raph, who had like a girlfriend in almost every incarnation). Either way, they remember the love triangle from the first movie with Shredder and wanted to bring it back for this show and have it involved the Turtles as well! ....that made sense, right? |

It hurts her character by not giving her say and making everything she does vague and ambiguous. Especially when there's plot amnesia. I just feel this love triangle has no direction in where it's going and when I try to make sense of it, a vein starts throbbing and my brain starts to hurt. It just makes me so angry. |

Donnie when he he gets fused with the mutant car reminded me of those maniac racers with the super large heads.
