I cant believe I am typing this but...I am tired of the North Hampton farm getaway, tired of the Don/Casey rivalry for April, and the mutant of the day which must are just random opposed to characters like Mondo Gecko, Ace Duck, and the like.
What is the deal with the hyper intellectual hen? I thought it would have become humanoid? I will give credit to Ciro and crew for going beyond the animal to humanoid animal with the likes of Snakeweed and Speed Demon among other non-traditional transformations. |
They've been in Northampton for 6 episodes, people are acting like we've spent half the season here.

They keep up these breaks and we're going to end up catching up to the amount of time the characters themselves have really been there. Quote:

In the recent episodes Casey has seemed to grasp the idea that April has chosen Donnie but the situations at hand were not the time to confront her about it. Such as when he's kicking Donnie after he drags him down stairs and says he kinda always wanted to do that. and this recent episode where he says "I don't care about winning, I just want my friend back." That could be for shadowing where he and Donnie are at odds for Aprils affection. And one of them has to make the choice of losing his rival and possibly April, or saving his rival even if it means he would lose April as a girl friend. |

And that pic is wicked, Powder. Good job. |
I actually liked this episode. I don't mind the "hiatus" of this season, and its taking place in a more laid back, different, environment. I understand the bitching by some, but if, and I hope they do, they go back to the fast pace, and similar story lines back in NYC, then all of this should be looked at as a welcomed change of pace.
We should all look at the show, and seasons, as a whole. Each of these episodes, and seasons, as parts of the greater story. When you look at it this way, I don't mind this seasons change of environment. I am hoping this will all lead us to an awesome, action packed, "greater story". We'll have to wait and see, of course, but I am still invested, and along for the ride, no pun intended considering this latest episode, lol. |
Ok I was totally expecting to dislike this episode: yet another mutant, yet another horror/scary reference, yet another episode off the main story arc. ....
BUT I actually thought this episode was pretty cool! Even for the short snippets that the various turtles had dialog, they were perfectly good in character snippets. Still not liking Seth for Leo's voice. Everytime he speaks I can picture Seth and it ruins my immersion. This episode scared me! Dang if I was still a kid, season 3 would definitely be giving me nightmares by now. Loved the screenshot of the old school Atari racing game (can't remember the name) for the chicken's " autopilot screen. I totally used to play that game! |
While watching the first half of the episode I was going to say that this one was less creepy than the majority episodes from season 3. Then, it all changed when Donatello got eaten by the mutant car and became the driver. It was extremely bizarre, but I liked it.

Although a little disgusting for the looks of the Speed demon( monster) I liked the way he talks: "Yeah baby". The episode was good to watch, I liked a lot. I'm glad April interacted with Raph at end of it.

Pretty good episode, it has some humor in it. The car chasing scene was good.

I actually really like this episode. I thought the mutant was actually pretty fun. I liked the premise of the car being the mutant and not the person driving it. The design of mutant Donatello and Rob Paulsen voice work worked very well together. I think the only thing that may have bugged me was April's reaction to Danny and Casey's budding friendship. It made her seem like a little bit of a harpy. "Oh no, now they're not fighting over me anymore."

You know how someone can be friendly to you to the point of its being sickening? Like Lola from Hey Arnold. That's what I was getting. |
Can anyone explain to me why April kinda bummed out that Don and Casey became good friends at the end?
Is she jealous she's not the center of attention like some people said? |

So they're too "cavity inducing" sweet? :P

Finally got to see the episode, liked it, but I still like the April's mom, punk frogs, and dream beaver episodes better.

Forgot the show was back. Man I hate filler episodes that go on for weeks.
This one was a lot of fun though. Not the best episode so far but still fun. Loved Demon Donnie and it was nice to have some more Casey for a change. Did anyone else feel like the animation had improved once more? Especially for April's face. Quote:
