1. They were action figures
2. he's 15
3. There's nothing wrong with playing with action figures if you're older than 16? If that's how someone has fun with hurting any one what's the big deal?

Papenbrook 05-11-2015 01:49 PM

I finally watched the episode, enduring all the cheesy jokes and pointless filler. Also, the plot didn't make any sense. I really don't understand why they needed another filler. The first eight episodes already covered that.

There is no such thing as being too old to play with toys:P

What does it matter if its a filler or not? They introduce a new mutant who will surely be a recurring character and Hun appears a second time.

Not like anyone on here, when we're all watching what is a essentially a kid's show, can call out Raphael on playing with action figures anyway!

This season had plenty of fillers. Also, just because important characters appear doesn't make it any less of a filler.

I'm not dissing people for collecting action figures, cleaning them, posing them, making or altering them, or displaying them. I have a few myself.... I'm only saying to me.... The way in which he was playing with them seemed pretty childish and I think of Raph as being more tuff.

I remember that I was really sad when I couldn't play with action figures anymore. I must have been about 12 the last time I tried. My brother, who is 5 years older, and I were playing with our Star Wars action figures. It was just awkward, plots didn't naturally come to us and we just didn't get any fun out of it.

Sorry for this totally irrelevant story but I wouldn't frown upon someone playing with action figures. I still have all my toys just for nostalgia and I look at my childhood as the best years of my life. If someone can still get the same joy from toys as they did when they were children, I don't see the harm. Although it would be a guilty pleasure that I wouldn't tell people about. :P

I found this to be a really fun episode! Love hearing Robbie as Mondo, and his design is totally adorable. I liked his story, and I loved that they had Xever as some sort of Fagin figure to all the homeless mutants, and I was so happy to see the likes of Snakeweed and Spiderbytes again (and I thought it was hilarious to have Pizza Face the slice there), if only for a moment!
This episode was silly and fun, which I am totally not opposed to when it's well done. I was happy to have Xever in the spotlight again, loved seeing Mikey and Casey hanging out and Leo and April hanging out. And I love love love seeing the henchmen/mutants on their downtime. Too funny. I hope we get more of Mondo and that he joins the Mighty Mutanimals.

CaliperCat 05-11-2015 04:58 PM

So this is what Xever has been up to since he fell out of favor with Shredder. For me at least, it actually makes sense. He's always had a grandiose personality and a flair for adrenaline rushes, and he seems to have a lot of time on his, uh, feet, since Shredder seems to employ Tigerclaw to do most of his bidding now. I'm guessing he's kind of done with Shredder, and would rather use mutants/the turtles for his own entertainment purposes, especially since they were all supposed to be annihilated at the end of the race anyhow. If there were more mutants who were changed in the great mutagen drop, that would kind of explain what might've happened to them, and why they're not all over the city.

The little tiny Xever fishies were hilarious! So is Leo's incredulous face. I didn't know you could move your face that way, Leo.

I loved getting to see Mikey and Casey hang out, and have their own episode. It was nice to focus on them for a while. Mondo acts almost just like a skater friend I had in middle school, who I'm sure would've proudly licked his own eyeballs for all to see had he possessed that ability. :P

I'm guessing that Mondo didn't have the greatest relationship with his parents anyhow, considering how they kicked him out for being mutated by no fault of his own. It would explain why he doesn't seem to care about being on his own much. I thought it was also really cool that he became one of the few mutants to be completely comfortable and happy with his mutation.

Cute little episode. Also, I like how the poll results are pretty evenly split.

CyberCubed 05-11-2015 05:42 PM

Do people seriously believe Mondo will be forgotten? When he's an established member of the Mutanimals since the Archie comics and is in the IDW Mutanimals as well?

Most of the forgotten mutants were the "monsters" who can't talk and were just there to be a generic battle in an episode.

You've already watched 3 Seasons of this show, you should've known their format by now. There's a mix of serious plots, and there are silly fun times.

If you want all hell bent serious story go watch Game of Thrones or CSI or something. Clearly you're too old and boring to enjoy this show. Try to chill and enjoy the ride.

Okay. First of all, I know what I'm getting into when I'm watching this show. However, there are more fillers in this show, and pointless mutants are running around everywhere. I just want it to stop.

Second of all, please don't tell me what to do. I don't even enjoy live action shows. Also, I am not boring and old. I am a teenager.

I can voice my opinions freely. If you don't like it, just don't read it. Ignore it.

It makes it less filker because it's likely he will join the Mutanimals which are relevant to the plot.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

This pretty much sums up my feelings throughout the entire episode. It was so awesome hearing Rist as a skateboarding radical mutant again. I was having more flashbacks than a Family Guy episode! Every time Mondo spoke, I kept having random Mikey quotes pop in my head.

"WHEEL OF FORTUNE, DUDE!"
"And I thought everybody loved Vanna!"
"Wayne Gretsky....on Steroids?"
"Pizza dude's got 30 seconds..."

Yeah, this was mainly a filler, but it was a good filler. I especially liked seeing Casey and Mikey hanging out. For awhile, he was just the possible April love interest/Donnie rival/Raph Buddy. It's nice to see him get along with all the other Turtles. Now if we can just get this with April (Though Eyes of the Chimera helped with that a little).

Only thing that bugged me was the race. Not that Xever was running an underground race syndicate; I actually really liked that. But...how the heck was he able to set up all those traps in the New York sewer? Still, this is no sillier than what the OT Turtles had. I pretty much agree with Andre about how this is just like watching an old TMNT episode, so it's nice to see it introduced in a new show.

Mondo was adorable and I can't wait till next weekend with Karai...

IndigoErth 05-11-2015 06:33 PM

I really want the line, "That was close." Startles Nick April. "Whoa, time to switch to decaf, April." :tlol:

Logan 05-11-2015 07:05 PM

I absolutely loved this episode. So awesome to hear movie Mikey's VA contribute to the series, not to mention for a character from the OT. Good stuff right there. Good stuff.

I chuckled when fishface got smashed by the battering Rams.
