Welcome to a new season of excitement, drama and homework (for those in school). From what I've heard about the upcoming season, we're in for some serious award-winning stuff. :D
Lessee... a quick lil Recap for the new and forgetful.
The boys decided to follow their Sensei on one of his sabbaticals one day, and found themselves in a seriously weird lookin dimension.
Ya know, for all the fighting and stamina Splinter's got when he fights, why does he have to walk around with a cane? I think its just a ploy... or maybe he just keeps the thing around to whap the boys when they misbehave. You be the judge...
We once again meet up with the "Tengu" from The Ultimate Ninja. this is when we learn of Splinter's kick-ass history in the Battle Nexus Tournaments.
The Big Brawl. Kinda like the inbred cousin of WWF(Yeh, WWE). at least there's no subplots involving Funky Divas (can you imagine THAT Lineup?!) or marriages based on who beats the other one's head in the quickest.
Anyways...
The boys got invited into the battles, once Splinter caved in-- I mean, agreed to let them practice their skills. I'm sure Splinter'd love to get them out there and Really show em a thing or two... :evilgrin:
At the end of the show, we were left with our Leonardo looking reverendly at the statues of champions-- his father and 'grandfather' if you'll humor me-- who unknowingly was in the crosshairs for someone's Darts. (yeh, i thought it was arrows...)
Well, after...what, four months? We're Finally gonna find out what happens. Whether its on the 11th or the 18th, I havent a clue. BUT...
The boys are gonna get their first taste of REAL tournament action. Its a Lot different from sparring with your family. Just think of the stuff they'll see and learn. This will be one of their best learning experiences.
Stories of previous battles and champions will no doubt filter through. Splinter's battles with Drako (Does he remind you of Dregg?), and they'll also get to meet a highly anticipated bunny-eared warrior. Can you say..
USAGI YOJIMBO???
Hehehe... Theyre gonna have one hell of a time. Unknown to them, internal plotting is in the works to get them out of running. Even if that means the death of one of our heroes...Whats going to happen?! Will Usagi be a friend or Foe?! Could personal efforts to win the Nexus break up the team?! STAY TUNED...

The way they set up the fight was really neat... I just wouldnt wanna be standing over that wall when it came up... :o


Lesee... Usagi's voice was interesting.. That council of The Daimyo's son was Definitely a Triceraton...


Mike and Sp's fight was so.. I kinda felt bad for them when Mike had to deliver the 'killing blow', but when he just draped his chuk over Splinter's shoulder, I was like, "Awwww"...

I loved the two fathers talking like that... :D I'm such a sucker for that stuff.

I felt SOOOOO bad for Don... defeated in the first tier...! :cry: I'm sure he'll meet up with Splinter and help Leo out, tho... that will be his greatest heroism. :D

I didn't want to see Don get eliminated. :( That was really suprising, though.

Usagi is cool and so is that drunk rhino. Can't wait till next saturday.

Yeah the opening fight scene was great

I thought Big Brawl pt. 2 was awesome. I loved all the fighting scenes, it was just sweet. I've waited so long to see the show come back, and I wasn't let down a bit. Just some of my opinions:

I think it sucked how Don didn't even last one round, it makes him seem lesser than the others. Plus he lost to some weird dude, he should of lost to a big guy, if he were going to lose at all.

A big guy I was thinking of was this one big white skinned guy. He had white tenticles-hair? He was wearing blue. I thought he won his match, because he caught that chain, but I guess he didn't. If anyone knows what I'm talking about he seemed pretty cool I wish he could have been in it longer. (theres a pic of him in the Screen Cap thread, pg. 35, under splinter between big guys, hes on the left)

I thought Raph was about to lost to Trax, but I guess not. I think he Raph is gonna lose, he should have lost to Trax.

All in all, it was a great show. Glad that the wait is over, and I'm very excited for next week. TMNT 2: Battle Nexus releases 10/19/04. Just some more excitement.

I liked it! And yeah, poor Don, eh? Buuut... it almost went more with his character, you know? I just hope the guys don't give him too much grief for it, though...

And this whole father/son theme in these episodes (not to mention the whole series, lol) very sweet. :) Splinter giving up to Mikey was cute.

Usuagi was awesome. I like him a heck of a lot more than I ever did before, that's for sure.

Can't wait for next week!! (When I have to work in the morning (at 7 even, ugh) and have to hope that someone will remember to tape it, or my vcr will work.) ;)

I already have seen this episode but I was happy to hear it in better quality!! Hopefully I'll have the ep tonight on my computer so i can make better screenshots!!

Great battle episode. I like how the Naginata and the Tonfa were both used. (Someone around here's probably a happy turtle about the Naginata!) Usagi seems to be a better cool character--Gen is too! What with fighting for money instead of honor and whatnot.

I could have hugged Mikey and Splinter. Then again, show me a fangirl that didn't want to. :) Not only was it cool for Splinter to step aside, it was pretty sweet for Mikey to be gentle about it. Very cool.

:( Poor Donnie. He'll probably get himself into trouble later, though. :lol:

Raph's fight was tight! He kept trying to overkill, though. Ah, well.

Well, now that we're back on schedule, it doesn't seem too long to the next one! Yee-haw! :D

im offically pissed off wit the big brawl. all don did was trip he wasn't even getting beat up. an he lost.

Hope you all enjoyed it! I moved away for school a month ago, and evidently the Fox station we get here doesn't carry FoxBox. Buh-lieve me, I was very upset this morning.

Guess I'm gonna have to figure out a way to download the episodes if I want to keep up with the boys. :dead:

I'm a Donnie fan, and really, I understand the sitch. He was about to get his skull bashed in. He's not the best fighter of the four... if anything, he's quite possibly the worst.

The only reason Raph managed to stay in was because of his rather stubborn will to NOT be beaten. If you pay attention to Don, he really didn't look too hot on moving when that guy was getting ready to turn his shell into a serving tray. A lot of other matches went the same way. When a finishing blow was about to be delivered, the other combatant was removed.

Don DID get knocked down. True, it wasn't the longest match in the world, but he took a hit.

It's not favoritism. It's just how things sometimes work.

Well I think Don really doesn't fight well unless he's in deep trouble. I noticed that a lot when he fights. Unless he's fighting to survive then he's not going to fight well. But I mean the monster who defeated the creature that beat him he could have beaten because it was from the King episode. Trust me Don will fight better later on :)

Yeah, I had this episode a few months ago. But I'm glad that I have a much better quality version of it. (Albeit with commerials. Damn VCR with no pause button.) Anyway, here is what I thought about the episode.

-Leo's fight at the beginning was very well done. But did you notice the animation error? As he is bowing down to the statue of Master Yoshi, he has his swords. As the ninjas attack, he is suddenly without them. That kinda bothered me because I figured the animators would be perfectists or something. Anyway, when Usagi came in, that made everything more exciting. He is a lot more badass now than he was when he came to Splinter's aid against Draco. I can't wait to see him come back in Season 3 as the bold new ally that they are talking about.

-Splinter giving up to the father in him was very noble. It's hard to realize that not only his he a ninja master, but he is also a wonderful father to the Turtles. He was willing to give up his chance at another title (which he probably would of won) to his sons. Very noble.

-Donny knocked out early? Well, I hope that will come in later when things get rough for Leo and the rest of them. They'll probably need his smarts to figure something out. Better to have him out so he could do that.

-Raph vs. Drax was pretty nifty. I think Drax is a better Tricerteron than Zog. Zog really wasn't an ally. But Drax is I believe. I hope he will come to the Turtles aid in Season 3. He could develop into a good character.

-Finally, the Ulimate Ninja. I knew that his apology at the beginning of the episode was fake. He is willing to take out his father and Leonardo to get his seat on the throne. He is dishonorable and I hope he is royally defeated. Oh and as for the mysterious man he is speaking too, I think it could be Drako. Yes, he is huge but who else would be behind the overtaking? He is already sore at Splinter for beating him and the Daiymo for stopping him on his revenge against Sensi. Then again, the person could be someone totally different. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Overall, it's a great return for the Turtles. I can't wait to see how Parts III and IV pan out. Should be fun. Oh, and off the mark for a few things. Did you guys see the sweepstakes ad with Mikey? Well, in a part of it he was talking to Leatherhead. And it doesn't look like it's from 'What a Croc.' That's a Season 3 scene! :D

Oh and one more thing. Brooke Hogan is HOT!!!!! :o

I dont think the council for the Ulitmate Ninja was a triceraton, I'd say deffinetly Drako. He had the eyes, and his voice too.

I was happy to see them using Gen like Gen is... a money-grubbing pseudo-jerk. XD

Anyway, yeah... Don's capable of a much better fight, but it's just not his thing. He's the brains, not the brawn.

Yea really what the heck, why couldn't they show it after pt.2? Makes no sense, that what they usually do. I was waiting to see if they were going to but they didnt. Oh well none the less, I'm sure it'll be awesome. And about the council, I said I think it could be Drako, but it would be nice if it were someone totally different. We need some new villians anyway.

Youve got a point, Gokhan... but what bothered me the most was that they poisoned Leo. mebby its juss me, but dident they already give leo life-threatening wounds or whatever before, when he faced the shredders elite guard? Other than that, i was pretty satisfyed with the episode...they started the new season off pretty well...now i juss need to go through YET ANOTHER week of school to wait for the next episode *uggh algebra* :dead:

GOod ep good ep. FINNALLY a new ep after 4 solid months. I was wrong on what those arrows would do to leo. they were just going to get him, I thought those arrows were going to be what would posion him. Leo did get posioned in the end though, in the battle with Usagi and he colappsed. What will happen??????? I hope leo lives.

The funny quotes: Usagi's lookout quote and leo's sorry master yoshi when th arrows hit the statue.

The ultimate ninja is a total backstabber. He in the last ep promised leonardo and then he had the ninja assins try to kill leo. HE even wants to overthrow his father. somebody has gotta stop him. He even posioned leo. Even his adviser was warning the ultimate ninja. I wonder what will become of his adviser if he keeps warning him. he even threatened the assisns lives if they fail. he (ultimate ninja) is just bad. He must still be mad at leo for stealing the glory of defeating the shredder.

I loved leo's reaction when he noticed he was holding the shredder's helmet.

Don I guess is the worst fighter of the 4. he lost the tournament. I guess he is more of an inventor than a fighter.

GEn looked like Rocksteady.

Splinter had touching quotes of how good his students were and this is their tournament.

That...Was...Amazing! I loved it all! The fights, the jokes, the moments. It was worth the wait! Next week :brother vs brother! One will win. I loved seeing Traximus and Raph duke it out. and I love even more seeign the Traximus figure! Its a great time to be a ninja turtle fan!

That is very possible, but I thought draco was who defated splinter and he seemed evil. You could be right, but the size of the adviser did not match draco's/
