I don't know, but this cover always had some sort of thing to it, that keeps me magically attracted. If I only knew what it was

Spider Jerusalem, our world needs somebody like him. Someone who doesn't give a damn about editors. Someone who writes whatever bothers him.

My hero.

http://coverscans.com/scans/craczyfr..._snikt_001.jpg
The first comic book I've bought when I spent my time in Toronto. Also one of the greatest Wolverine Stories there are. It brings his sort of "lone wolf" attitude out pretty well and it has that Nihei-ish way of telling stories.

http://coverscans.com/scans/fastmach...427_232142.jpg
Probably the funniest comic book I've ever read. It almost killed me.

http://coverscans.com/scans/Anarky/s...101_224029.jpg
This was I think the most emotional issue of YJ... I felt so sad after reading it. The team who did YJ for over 50 issues just finishes it all off within these 20 pages.

http://coverscans.com/scans/Anarky/s...101_225124.jpg
The story is pretty lame, YJ messing around with time. But the cover is great. It has a sort of sad atmosphere.

There's many more left, I'll post them as soon as I remember what they were.

Yeah, in the future Spiderman bites The Punisher giving him spider powers etc. :P

I'm guessing it's just a new costume design

"It's funny how the logo says "Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen," seeing how half of the covers I have been able to find tell the harrowing tale of how Jimmy is trying to kill Superman, Superman is trying to kill Jimmy, Jimmy is faking his own death to make Superman reveal his secret identity, or Jimmy ****s Superman's girlfriend."

Here's some more.BTW Spider-Man 2099's real name is Miguel O'Hara.http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/3649/304.jpg http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/3606/11.jpg http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/3018/5.jpg http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/2903/200.jpg http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/3135/4.gif

 Good one. Heh.

If you really wanted to know, though, Spider-Man 2099 is about a man named Miguel O'Hara, a genetic scientist who tried to cleanse his body of a dangerous and highly addicting drug. In the process, one of his co-workers tampered with the machine Miguel was using, resulting in the proportionate abilities of a spider to be fused with his DNA. After the experiment, O'Hara discovered that he had all of the 20th century Spider-Man's powers -- with a twist. The webshooters were organic and he had small talons on his fingertips and toes to help in his wall-crawling.

Pretty good series.

In other words, he was just like the movie Spider-Man. Am I wrong?

I usually only stick to Spidey related titles, so these are my favourites of some of the ones I own.

HAHAHA! Those are hilarious. I have some Jimmy Olson comics somewhere, one I remember is about Jimmy and Superman being cavemen.

No, you're right, basically. But those are the only similarities. Miguel had his own apartment, girlfriend, steady job, and no annoying relatives to worry about. Except for his brother, who was the Green Goblin.

cowabunga14 01-10-2005 05:12 PM

I love these old WWII era Submariner covers. He pretty much defeated the entire German and Japanese naval fleets by himself according to these comics...

http://img41.exs.cx/img41/950/19ta.jpg http://img41.exs.cx/img41/8205/26cv.jpg

And then after the war when there were no more Nazis or Japs to knock around, he decided to go after the Soviets...

Voltron 01-12-2005 10:41 AM

I was waiting for Matt to put up the propaganda covers.

Also, Silver Surfer got the Carnage symbiote? Is marvel just going to give that thing to everyone?

Brodie 01-12-2005 12:24 PM

Remember when I wrote a fic about Carnage infecting Casey Jones?

Ha.

Anyway: I recommend Y: The Last Man for everyone.

He sure did. It didn't last for long though. The symbiote just used him to get back to Cassidy I think. I haven't read that issue in a long time.

There are very few WWII ones that I like, most from that era are dumb as hell. Even though the Submariner karate chopping Japanese aircraft carriers is pretty dumb, it's nowhere near as bad as seeing Batman and Robin in the middle of a jungle on some Pacific island, handing a rifle to a Marine while telling him to "shoot a jap for the folks back home".

http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/3844/38.gif I got some more. The word "Jap" is offensive to Japanese people.I'm not Japanese but if a Japanese person say that word they would fell offended.Just lettin' ya know so it doesn't get out of hand.http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/3844/26.gif http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/2367/27.gif http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/2301/0.gif http://comicspriceguide.com/images/covers/2106/3.jpg

DrSpengler 01-13-2005 07:59 PM

Uhhh yeah. I think we're having a healthy laugh AT the word, no one here is advocating slapping Japanese people. Anyone who'd get horribly offended by wartime propaganda like that is way too sensetive.

BTW, one of my college classes is labeled "JAP 202". I don't see anybody crying their eyes out over an abbreviation.

I'm using it in it's historical context. That's how people talked back then, in case you didn't know.

cowabunga14 01-14-2005 04:45 PM

I knew it was used in war context. In dictionaries it says "Jap" is offensive.I don't want any to offened a Japanese person I'm just sayin' that this arguement can be resolved.I'm glad that it was clarified that the word was in war context.

Heh, I have all but two of those comics. :)

cowabunga14 02-07-2005 04:38 PM

I got those comics from Marvel Collector's Packs. I got the first three Fatal Attractions comics from Marvel Spotlight. I got Excalibur #S 72-73, X-Men Unlimited # 3, and X-Men #28 from Marvel Premiere. I also got X-Men 2099 #s 1-4 from Marvel Adventures. The Collector's Packs can be found at Affordable Treasures for 4 bucks a pack. The Fatal Attractions pack is the only one that I know of that has three comics. The other Collector's Packs have four.
