Who Says The Original Cartoon Can't Be Revived??
This guy certaingly does'nt
http://www.behindthemasks.com/dawnat...rncoat/T1.html Keep reading the story and watch what the original show could have been if it gone another few years...or revamped by an unbiased Petey, I think he'd agree. :D |
Hey, it's Turtle Turncoat! That's always been one of my favorite fan comics. It really is a great homage to the old 'toon.
|
More of that comic can be found here:

I love that fan-comic one of the est I've seen. And he's added more, I havn't seen it in a while. :roll:It takes the old toon and gives it an edge that is so neede. ;)
|
All I can say is...WOW! As you guys know, I'm not a fan of the old toon. I was hesitant about reading this fancomic to be honest. But I'll tell you this now, I'm impressed! If the old toon had been like this, I would have loved it! It's nice and dark, like the new toon, my kind of story! It makes me think of the first movie...I love it! "Ninja Turtles: Gaiden " and "Turtle Turncoat" are the best fancomics I've read, one for both shows (gaiden seems to go with the new toon, while this one goes with the old one)!
|
i read that eons ago but it aint done i wish it'd get done
|
Wow that was really good. Normally I'm not into fan comics but this one is an exception.
|
Mmmm... Gonna like it! :D It is so sombre, just like the perfect TMNT should be.
And it explains logically the idea, how the 4 reptiles could have afforded one hot big pizza per day. ;) But I was only able to read the first 27 pages (from the ZariusTwo link). Does it mean the next links are broken or the following pages are not drawn yet? I'm curious if Casey survived... Best wishes, Robweiller |

Drat! I've tried this link even earlier but all I am able to see there is plain HTML code. No images at all :ohwell: What could be the possible cause of my miserable state? I use Firefox as a browser, may this be the explanation that I can't watch this page properly, because it was designed only for Internet Explorer users? :| Did someone using Firefox manage to watch Turtle Turncoat?
All I could do was visiting http://www.btinternet.com/~general_zod/ and see title "The rescue of Casey Jones". Well, better than nothing I guess. At least he didn't die after having skewered himself into Shredder's claws... Best wishes, Robweiller |
well i am wandering if casey jones survived cause the sherdder got him good and that is the bast webcomic i ever read

It's alright, but it's no PPG Doujinshi |
Actually, the original toon was cancelled due to CBS wanting a more "educational" line up. The ratings weren't a problem at the time.

hehe, I remeber reading these comics last year.

His art is great, I'm not too excited about the story and dialogues though.

Hi there
:D Hi. Im' glad to hear that some of ya are enjoying Turtle Turncoat. Script and stories have never been my strong point, but I hope u know im trying my best (sorta). The ideas you have in your head rarely come across as you plan, we'll that's what i've found over the years in all the comics that i've done.
As for the bad language, i'll try and justify that as good as I can. At some point Raphael is going to have to turn to the dark side. He will end up betraying everyone around him, that means fighting his brothers to the death. I'm trying to build him up to this point, so he's naturally gonna be mad and mean all the time. I will tone down the other characters though. Honestly I can put that down to lazy writing. Apart from that I hope the people reading it will continue to enjoy it in the future, i will finish it one day.. i hope, ive been drawing the sodding thing for like 5 years now on and off, as you can probably tell by how the style changes every 10 pages or so. :) |

Hey great comic! I do like the artwork. April's still getting captured. :P But that's like a staple. I'm curious to see your take on Bebop and Rocksteady.
BTW how'd you know people were talking about the comic here so fast? |
Turtle Turncoat
Hi Robweiller
Sorry to hear about the problems you are having accessing those pages. I don't know why it's happening. I use dreamweaver 4 and my knowledge of it isn't that great, it's a miracle that I got my website up and running at all really. I don't know how to change it, all I know is that I've had my PC reinstalled lots of times and I've had to download my entire site to my PC and into a new pub folder. That might explain why you can view some pages and not others. If you or anyone else can explain how I can fix it to be more user friendly I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise I can just send you the pages by email if u like or something??? :D |
One of my long time online TMNT buddies Adam Winters told me about it, So I thought i'd come here and check it out.
Btw thanx for your support. I won't be drawing ol' bebop and rocksteady for sometime yet, but everything that appeared in the first series of the old toon and the first konami arcade game will be in it at some point :D |
thank you mr.tony day your webcomic is great!
|
yea dude your comic is great. LNR has 10 issues out already, but not in color. So when is Issue 2 coming?
|
The link to Turtle Turncoat has strange ending for me ".../turtles.web" - by contrast, other of your works are under hyperlinks like /xxxweb.html" or .htm - maybe this link should be changed. But on the other hand, the others were able to watch it. And me not :ohwell:
But don't worry - thanks to my strong will, unparalleled cunning and Google Image Search I've managed to track the rest of Turtle Turncoat pages down. :D If someone has the same problem as I had: http://www.btinternet.com/~general_z.../turtles29.jpg and then just change the number in this address. Primitive way, but it's working. And Tony's art is still awesome Best wishes, Robweiller |
Hey Tony, this is Adam. It's good to see that you've decided to converse in the forums. I hope the next page will be up soon. Heck, you've got a least one advantage over the Mirage books: you print it in color! (Though I am fond of Mirage's black and white tradition.)

Maybe Tony you can get a deal with mirage do to your tmnt comics??

Sounds like a decent idea, the concepts of creating "Elseworld" graphic novels based around the TMNT is an appealing one, we could carefully select which stories should be turned into the next MIRAGE volume, since "Forever War" is after all, for the fans, and is a direct result of what we, the fans, wanted to see. |

hi adam
Hello Adam
How ya doing mate. I personally think black and white comics r great, when done well, not to mention there faster to churn out... Btw page 41 of Turtle Turncoat is up now for viewing. Do u recognise this quote: " Or am I here, or here.... I could be anywhere... even right behind you..." I'll give you a gold star if u can :) Tony |
i know that quote it is form shredded and splintered
|
Tony, I was seriously considering emailing you about how much i enjoy your comic but since you post here, I just want to say that it's seriously well down and your art is amazing.
|
Wow. if the old cartoon was like that. i dont think it would of been able to air on television.
