there are some more character sketches for the new tmnt animated series at the official site!! this time with the villians (including Baxter, the Shredder both in and out of armor, a big guy named Hun, the Foot, and the Purple Dragons)!!!!!!!

I actually checkked the site today, those must have come in last few hours...

Baxter looks right, So does Saki. I still think that Shredder is too heavily armored. Atleast he dosent look like a robot anymore... Foot looks ok. But i wonder why did they change that reddish color for black?

The new shredder reminds me of cybershredder...only cybershredder wasn't so heavily armored.
I have no idea why they changed the foot soldier's color...but that's ok with me :ohwell: they look more like the movie ones now :D

Yeah the color is allright. But Shredder dosen't look as agile as he should.

It wouldn't surprise me if he couldn't move with all that metal junk on :lol:

Yeah i guess they will bring some new elemnets outside the comic. And im starting to thin it's better, I always have the comics, so the sho dosen't have to be a Exact replica. They probably keep the feeling the same but make some new plot twists.

"Hun" is obviously a member of the Purple Dragons, if not the leader. Check the tattoos.

Yeah i agree, it's better if the toon is based in the comics but NOT a replica, or else we'd kinda know the story already.

Wow! :o Those are cool. From the looks of it, Shredder won't be wearing his armor all the time. I think his new armor looks sweet. He really isn't wearing that much of it (armor, I mean).And of course, it's always good to see Baxter Stockman, and his original form at that (not some geeky white guy)! This is shaping up to be great!

His voice was whiney like Wierd Al & he was dumber than Bebop & Rocksteady & that made them look good!

These look like a might fine line up of bad A villians... I liiike! The outfits and even tatoos are elaborate looking.

And shredder (or saki) doesn't look like someone I wanna meet in a dark alley. I think his armor looks flexible enough for him. It's in small enuf pieces n plates, and is prolly made of a lightweight material to let him flex. But hay, logically speaking, the Turtles have the greatest obstacle since they got a fairly stiff shell around their midregion.

OMG! They rule. Shredder looks awesome animated. That Hun guy looks pretty damn HUGE! Wow well done all around. This show will be downright amazing! Thank you Peter, thank you.

I like most of the new look, I might even like Shrdder when i see him animated.

heres my break down of the situation:

Baxter- looks cool!! he isn't dippy anymore that was a bit of a let down but I like it anyway.

Saki- Good, does this mean he may have a larger role in the show? we shall see....

Shredder- ummmm.... first thing that popped into my head was "aquatic man" but that subsided.... I agree with karpo he is too heavily armored, I like the belt but... his eyes are RED???! Shreeder is NOT an evil demon wizard or whatever!!!! :x

Hun- uhhhh... wha?

Foot- AWESOME!!! this is the best one yet in my opinion I like the darkness and flowing bandana!!! They look tougher too :D

Purple dragons- well I think Hun is supposed to be the leader of the gang, since he has the same logo tattoed on him..., they look alright though no complaints

Baxter: o_O Reminds me of J from MIB. Not the Fly, but ok.
Saki: Hehehe. Neat.
Shredder: BooYEAH! He looks SWEET! Now I want his toy even more. ^^ I can't even SEE his eyes though. o_o

Foot: Look like evil Spider-Men in the head. Looks cooler then the greyish toy version. Notice that the Foot are all dressed in dark clothing? Camoflague. Bwahaa.
Purple Dragons: Stupid name. Hope they get their ass kicked. (Hope? What am I on?!)

I can't see what you could possibly find wrong with Shredder. He's easily the best of the bunch, red eyes or not. As far as I can tell, he's perfect.

Gotta agree with Karpo on this, Shredder - whilst looking way better than the toy - is no way near as good as the original Mirage version. Probably just wanted to make him look more evil and threatening for the kids.

Heh no problem. The armor on the new Shredder looks too heavy. The orginal one, as you can see has no real armor.

The original mirage shredder is the best in my opinion, I like the movie one too but the mask is weird :ohwell:

and... whats with the one claw??!!! OY!!! the shredder has TWO claws!!! now hes like vega in SFII

Yeah the armor does look heavy but the inclusion of the Saki design with the major villains does give me some hope that we may see Shredder fighting without his armor.

I'd love it if the finale of season 2 or 3 was a recreation of "Return To New York" with Leo and Saki fighting to the death (obviously not shown on screen) on the rooftops.

Wonder who we'll see next week? My guesses are Triceratons and Mousers due to the fact that they were included in the CGI Promo so everyone knows that they'll be in the show. As for the rest Utroms and Fugitoid are possible due to their relationship with the Triceratons.

Personally I'd love to see Leatherhead and Rat King as well as Savanti and Renet but they'll probably want to keep these more secret as they'd appear later in the series.

Question: why did Baxter Stockman change from the way he was in the comic to the nerdy white guy that he was in the original cartoon? Yeah, I just found out not too long ago that the original Stockman looked nothing like the one in the first cartoon show...

i dunno, i don't really like this, it's not really going for me.. i'm sure i'll get used to it when i see more than just production pics
