Time Trevails *spoiler warnings*
Okay they JUST ruined the Ultimate Ninja *growls and storms off*
|
I really feel like they short changed Savanti Romero here. He started off like a demon and then just fizzled out into a second rate villian I'm also not to pleased with the Drako/Ultimate Ninja amalgamation.
There was a lot of great action in this one though, and it seems they set up Tales of the TMNT Vol. 1 #7 at the end. |
*winces* I thought of you, Kazari, when I first saw him/them, thinking "She's not gonna be happy about this!" That's just strange. Pickles-and-ice-cream-dreams strange.
And what happened to the kyoji?! EDIT: I'm watching it again. Now, come on, there's a masked aardvark in the area when they land? I guess that's a "we-couldn't-put-Ceberus-in-this-story-due-to-copyrights-but-we-felt-like-we-had-to-give-him-a-nod-anyway" cameo? :) |
Not a bad episode at all... I liked it, really ^^;
Renet is my NEW hero. :D She's so funny, and really reminds me of a few of my charcters. Can't say much for her outfit though. Ick. @_@ I'd expected that demon guy's pet dragon to be Draco, but the combination of Draco AND The Ultimate Ninja...whoa...Maybe the time sceptre will seperate them or something. >.> Hopefully...they're really creepy together...I mean as one thing. All in all, I thought it was a good episode. ^^ |
I loved it, thought Renet was cute acting.
I thought of you too Kazzy, I was thinking: "Wow, that's a weird combo....kinda like it, I'm sure Kazzy won't though!" :D I liked it more than yesterday's ep, which was good too but a little on the dull side. |
That Draco/Ultimate Ninja THING is just bizarre. I mean totally screwed up. All I can think is, I really hope Playmates makes an action figure out of that thing, it'll be the weirdest looking figure they've made yet.
Renet, Lord Simultaneous, & Savanti Romero were all done perfectly though. I was very happy to see these guys on the show, and I also loved that they ended up setting up the Renet/Savanti story from Tales Vol.1 too. Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite episodes of the entire new show, if only because of how well these three characters transferred over. I do think Savanti kind of got shortchanged in favor of that Ultimate Draco thing though. I also really liked the reference with the aardvark. :D |
*sits and pouts as she draws, trying to keep from swearing about the writers*

Peace. |
I doubt it..they wouldn't be that NICE :P
|
Alright.. I only saw the first part and teh last part, but I liked it somewhat.. I don't like Renet's outfit, or the character itself (kinda whiny), but there was alot of humor that had me chucking.. I'm going to reserve my opinion unitl I see the episode in its entirety.
About the UN/Draco.. I don't know how i feel about it.. It amkes sense though.. they were thrown in that dimensional rip... they SHOULDN"T have come out as they were.. they had to be changed in some way.. makes sense for them to be fused. It kinda bothered me that the talking head was in the belly of the beast, and that the UN head didn't talk... i think it could be better if they both talked, but whatever... I'm intersted in what happens with them and the specter.. Lord S. said that the specter had a mind of its own.. I wonder if history will repeat itself? |
Like you I only saw the very beginning and the very end, but I taped it so it's okay, but I still loved what I saw. Even the um....mesh of UN and Draco. I thought I heard both of thier voices though. Also, if that's what happened to them, then what on Earth happened to that poor Ref? The floaty guy that got sucked up too?

And I liked the armor the boys got in this ep even more than I did the ones that they got in the "Entity Below" ep. I hope they wind up in something like that again. Peace. |
I've been looking forward to a Renet/Savanti Romero episode since the new show started, and I gotta say, this didn't dissapoint. In fact, I loved this epsiode. It's right up there with "Nobody's fool" as my favorite episodes this season. I really hope to see more of Renet, and Savanti in later seasons.
Oh, and the homage to Cerebus was great. |

I was also surpirsed at Draco being in it. I just thought they were just using a generic design of the dragon up until he started acting up and went back to attack the turtles. |

*giggles* I loved the part near at the beginning when they were playing on the rooftop, and Leonardo had that water hose spraying his brothers with it. Though he almost got paid back for it when he slipped in the puddle of water, and fell at the mercy of his brothers now packing water balloons. |
*giggles* Yeah, I thought THAT bit was cute. Talk about classic pay-back time!!! Nothing like being flat on your stomach (or in Leo's case, his plastron) with your vengeance-minded sibs looming over you with water-balloons! *snickers* Well, he can't say he didn't ASK for it!
Anyway, I've got one question here: was anybody around here as grossed out as I when that over-grown magically-mutated cockroach ATE/SWALLOWED Raph?! YUCKERS! And THEN he ripped his way OUT of it! DOUBLE-yuckers!!! Peace. |
Man That ep. sound good and who are Renet and Savanti.
|
renet sounded liek melissa joan heart. I dont like the ultimate Drakko combination. it seems sloppy and out of place. Why haven't we seen splinter, april, and casey scince christmas?

Ya, I didn't really like Renet's voice. Just wasn't what I had pictured while reading the comics. I really wanna see April and Casey. I miss them! :P |
Well...that was um...interesting. That Draco/UN thing well that was very freaky. But hey they killed stuff in this! They killed those roaches. 8) Pretty gross.
This Savanti Romero seemed kind of weak but...maybe that was how he was supposed to be in the comics. Anybody who's more familiar like to fill us in? Actually I'm curious to what this thing Cerebus is? Or are you guys talking about Cerberus the mythical three headed underworld dog. If so...why would copyright law apply to that? I thought mythical beasts like the Minotaur and Cerberus couldn't be copyrighted. :ohwell: Renet was kind of annoying. She got the guys in all that trouble because she wanted to have fun. And then she didn't want to do dusting. For some reason I imagine her and Dr. Chaplin going on a date. They'd be perfect for each other. |
 Yeah, Renet was very annoying. She whined too much, and came off as a spoiled brat. Got everyone in trouble because she didn't want to serve her punishment, and in the end, wound up with even more.
I completely understood how the guys were feeling when they found out the real cause of the mess. Don: "All this was because of dusting?!" |

Hmm, quite different from the comic, but it still nodded to the original a few times. I loved Renet, she was perfect. Perfect as in her same Valley Girl self was in Mirage! I was horrified at the end with what they did to The Ultimate Ninja and Draco. Like, "What the--!!" I talked to Ivey earlier, who's three hours ahead of me, and she said I was to expect a 'twist' at the end. That's a huge twist, I mean very twisted twisting of two characters into one! I'm like Renet: "Ewww!" But, what is it now with upping the graphic department? Raph slicing his way out of that bug? It was almost as bad as when Leo pierced Splinter in "The Darkness Within." This show is really getting bold with their violence, isn't it? :o Oh, and the beginning with Leo falling face down in the water was painful to watch. Poor guy! I smiled to it, but felt sorry for him. Again, another homage to the comic with a slight change.
I missed "The Entity Below" the other night because I was at work and Mom was taping the Super Bowl. What is it about their armor that was better than this ep? Now, I'm curious and don't want to wait till Saturday! |
Wow. Just wow.
When I first saw the Draco-dragon beast I kept thinking "he looks familiar" but I couldn't quite place it. Thinking about it now, how many red dragons do you normally see? The addition of thr Ninja Knights was great too. Makes me value the toys and their variants a bit more. UN-Draco was... interesting. He reminded me A LOT of the Hothead action figure Playmates made. As for only his stomach talking, its because UN was wearing his mask so his mouth didn't move as well. I loved the set up for the old Tales of TMNT issue. Renet kinda annoyed me but I think down the road she'll grow on me more. I'm amazed at how much continuity is in these filler episodes. |

Great episode. Renet's outfit kind of stunk though. But I have to ask this one question. WHERE IS SPLINTER??????? I'm going through withdrawals here.
|
Yay Renet! And they pronounced it with the T, too.
Of course, they did change her costume a bit. Higher neckline, and higher boots. I liked it, but wouldn’t be caught dead in it myself. I think her voice was excellent. I always heard something a little more “Valley”, but that would have gotten annoying really fast in this. The aardvark there when they appeared in the past was a cute touch. Bugs. I was a bit annoyed that Raphael didn’t make any bug comments. I mean, I know they only added it to April’s Artifact because of what they had planned, but I wish it had carried. And the “surprise” villain. I must say, I was kinda right. I was expecting the UN, but that was a surprise. But I do like it. (Don’t hurt me!) I liked it because it made sense that something happened to them. I would have been disappointed if they showed up unscathed. But with the Time Scepter, I’m sure they can fix themselves. They can take their body back to a time when they were separate. And on an ending note, again, how’d they get away with this?!? The dark magic, violence, and all. Opened a lot of storylines though… I hope they bring Savanti back, since they didn’t do that much with him here. |

I loved the MIB reference, Welcome to the TMNT hotel, roaches check in, they don't check out. |

Jee, originally that was the catch phrase for Black Flag Roach Motel back in my day. |
You know what's odd?
That Renet is animated to look "less busty", when this episode aired mere days after Teen Titans practically got away with a near-rape scene. |

Oh man, what a cool episode... It started off as a clone from the comic book, great.
Renet even did the opening teaser.. Speaking of her, she was annoying...but she is supposed to be...that is her character. I think they did a great job with her. Lord Simulataneous's "human" voice was a little strange, though... and I didn't notice the aardvark...gotta rewatch.. |
Kaz, i knew when i saw Ultimate Drako Ninja that u weren't gonna like it, and i can't say i did either. i was hoping that maybe Dracko was a monster evolved by Savante to attack the turtles....i never expected he was both...though the mask should have given it away....not a terible episode, but the UDN idea sucked eggs...

Ohh.. that must be why I thought Draco was the only one talking.. I rely completely on the captions for the dialogue (since I can't hear...) and the captions didn't say who were talking the way they sometimes do... I agree.. the continuity is nice.. Its nice to finally watch a show (especially an cartoon!) where each episode depends on the previous episodes instead of an series of individualized spisodes without any central story. |

I just learned... Renet's voice actress is the same as Bloom from Winx Club. Woah. Just thought I'd share some interesting info. Haha.
